I came to know of Good Friends / Aftab through a friend's recommendation. Getting in touch with him was a breeze. Aftab was always approachable, returned calls / messages timely, and has always been an active listener, very prompt and accurate in scheduling all practice classes and also in cases where any change was requested. My experience of getting G2 and G was exceptional, as all practice sessions were timed as per the requirement, delivered with passion, and he had been quite punctual on all the occasions. On the knowledge side, his years of driving experience as instructor is very insightful, and he delivers the driving class with such energy and gives genuine feedback which helps improve driving skills. As a person who has anxiety and was a nervous driver, I would essentially cry every time I got behind the wheel. Aftab is a kind and patient teacher, and I never felt like I was being rushed in my lessons. He always provides helpful feedback and tips while working on a particular skill, and helps me to correct a lot of my bad habits. The instructors at good friends driving are very informative and professional. The in class portion had a warm atmosphere and I gained more confidence on the road thanks to the reliable techniques I learned during the lessons. I have known Aftab for 5 years now, initially I went to him for G2, I had my doubts with my driving since I came from a discouraging environment but he was able to give me the confidence that I could do it and I passed the G2 on the first try. It was the courage he helped me develop during lessons that made it possible. I was encouraged to take the G exam shortly after so the driving was still fresh in practice but I ended up moving overseas and was not able to tend to it until it was nearing expiration. I barely had any driving practice over the years since I did not have access to a car, but I remembered Aftab because of the positive experience I've had with driving under his instruction so I contacted him, booked some lessons over the month and had the driving exam at the end of the month. I drove whenever I could, and kept practicing, I had my doubts but I passed and got my G with no mistakes.

Aftab is a great driving instructor who teaches you the fundamentals of driving from day 1, from making proper left and right turns to different types of parking. So today on August 16,2022 i gave my G2 test and it was my second attempt and i passed it. If i know him earlier i think i am gonna choose this driving school and Aftab. Mr. Aftab gave me lessons. He is such a nice person and instructor which is really hard to find. With driving tips he gave me life tips free. I was not confident for my driving but after taking a class from him i am like driving is easiest thing. The way he teach, talk and give you techniques make anyone’s driving smooth and perfect. On the day of exam he will not stress you instead of that he motivates you and one thing today he told me when i was about to go for test that “ If you got the license then it will be good if not don’t stress about that because it’s just a license your life is not getting end” which really helps me a lot. Because other instructors never ever guide you either it’s for driving or for life. But the way he deals with you is amazing. If i can give more stars i will surely do. Such a positive person.

Aftab is a true zen master.
As a new comer to Canada with kids to drive around, I was desperate to get my driving license asap. Due to covid restrictions, the earliest drive test centre date i could get was may 2021. I checked with three driving schools in my neighbourhood and they gave me a generic answer that they couldn't do anything as far as the test was concerned. Then, Aftab was recommended to me and even though I live far away from Markham, I called Aftab and he went out of his way to find a drive test centre for me. I called Aftab on a Monday and by Friday I had my license. That is what you call as going ABOVE and BEYOND what is expected. Aftab understood i was desperate and instead of a plain vanilla excuse he said to leave it to him and he delivered. It took a few hours of lessons to prep me for the test and even though i went to learn about the test, I came back a better person.

He is easy to reach (responsive) and is just a really passionate and dedicated individual. He really prepares you for on the road. Have no complaints. You'll feel more at ease and comfort when learning the correct rules and skills it takes to be a great driver from him. Extremely satisfied. Would highly recommend taking classes with him.

Professional approach and teach basics of driving.
No chance of fail in driving test

Mr. Qureshi is very professional. He had booked an appointment for my daughter on a PA day. My daughter wanted to use my car for the road test since she has more hours in it. Mr. Qureshi had instructed us to get to the test centre 30 minutes prior to the road test to check in and we did but we were waiting at the wrong parking lot. Mr. Qureshi called us because he did not see out car at the test Centre's road test vehicles parking lot. We repositioned the car and as Mr. Qureshi had previously told us, my daughter will have no problem passing and she did. Small details like checking to see if we were at the right parking lot saved us from missing the examiner and having to reschedule for another test. I will recommend him to my Nepthew as well.

I took few classes with Mr. Aftab and he did an excellent job teaching me and getting me ready for my test. He would give the right advice and suggestions. He will make you practice until you really get it right. A lot of respect for him. I recommend him 100%.

Just passed my G road test today on my first try, thanks to Aftab. He also helped me pass my G2 road test on the first try. He's a great guy and very informative about driving. He knows techniques on how to do parallel and reverse parking with ease. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to pass either of their road test easily.
