INCREDIBLE store. Just when you think you’ve seen all of their impressive selection of items, you turn the corner and there’s an entire other section to the store. Every comic book you could ever want. Action figures from every franchise you can think of and then some. Blind bags and boxes of all sorts. Candies, trading cards…the whole gamut. We could have spent so much more money and time in there but we had to wrench ourselves away. We now have birthday, anniversary and Christmas wish lists set for years to come. This store is absolutely a must-see.

Awesome place to find a variety of comics, figures, and rare items. The comic shop also has an interesting collection of candies and food items you'll never see on a regular grocery shelf. It's a very friendly environment, staff are awesome. The owner, Carlos, offers customers the option to open up pull lists to make sure anything you want pulled before your arrival is ready and available for them. The shop also holds different events throughout the year, along with being charitable. I would definitely recommend anyone that's into comics to check this place out!

So many amazing collectible items and comics. The owner is so sweet and really cool. He's a teddy bear. Found a really hard to find omnibus and on boxing week sale!

I visited this store for the first time recently, along with my husband. I was picking up something and decided to spend some time looking around the store.

The person I dealt with initially when I first came in to do my pickup was great. I think he was the owner and he was really polite and friendly. After looking around the store (which is huge and has a really great selection) I decided to purchase an item. Unfortunately, my purchasing experience on my way out was not as pleasant. I approached the counter and one gentleman, who was standing with the first person I dealt with when I first came in, saw me approach with an item and turned completely away from me. Another employee, a young woman, then came over to complete my transaction. She didn’t greet me or even look at me, and when I said “hi! How are you? ” She completely ignored me. I made a few other comments during my check out (asked how she was again, thanked her for handing me the credit machine, then thanked her again at the end of my purchase and said to have a great day), and was ignored every time. She wouldn't even look at me.

My husband and I were the only ones masked and I also have a visible disability on my face (that is still noticeable even in my mask), so I’m honestly not sure if either of those things factored into how I was treated but it left me feeling pretty low by the time I left. I am a generally very happy person and do my best to always treat people, especially retail employees (cause I’ve been there!) with kindness and respect. On the chance it was because of my mask and if either of the employees I encountered on my way out are reading this: I respect your choice to be maskless, but please remember some people (like myself) are high risk. I am an immunocompromised person (and an essential caregiver for an elderly relative) and that means I have to take extra steps to protect myself. If it was because of my disability - I’m just another human being in the world trying to do my best, like you are. My disability is out of my control and is just one small part of who I am. And if you were just having a bad day - I get it, I've been there, but if someone is approaching you with a positive attitude, at the *very least*, acknowledge their existence. (If you were both having a bad day, I hope it improved after I left).

Absolutely amazing LCS. HIGHLY recommended, great selection and the people staff and owner are incredibly cool. Plus did I mention they do CGC submissions.

The owner is very helpful and so nice! My boyfriend broke a figurine and they didn’t have any left in stock when I went back to replace it for him. The owner offered to let me purchase the figure from his own collection and brought it into the shop the next day. While the prices can be better, they offer the best service and I’m happy to support a local business with a cool shop interior and kind owner and staff!

Carlos and the team were fantastic. We came in to get a Hellraiser comic graded and we were treated like family. Best first experience ever! You've gained a few Loyal customers from this day forward.

This is simply the best comic book store I've ever been to. They have an amazing selection and a very knowledgeable staff. I've never seen a bigger CGC graded comic book collection anywhere, and that includes my trips to the US. I wish they had these online, but I do understand with such a massive inventory that would be difficult to do. If you haven't visited this place you really should. I'm not into toys or other types of collectibles but they're inventory in that area is also jaw-dropping.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always have what I'm looking for and they also have an awesome candy section. Would recommend to anyone.

Friendly and very helpful owner. This store is clean and organized with plenty of comics to sort through and an assortment displayed on racks throughout the store. They also have many collectible items from the various comic worlds as well as some hard to find confectionery. I felt safe and welcomed. I hope to return soon as this time I was in a rush and didn't have much time to shop around and ask more questions. I'm looking forward to doing that the next time I come. Note: The store follows health and safety protocols with sanitizing of hands and wearing masks.

I've been coming here for years! The owner, Carlos, is a huge help and very polite. One of the best comic book shops in the GTA. I will always recommend this shop to people.

Store itself was great. A lot of cool stuff great for collectors. However being my first time in the store as much as I loved the stuff being a collector myself it will be my last. Other than being asked if we needed any help by the gentleman there. While checking out the girl was more concerned with her phone than customer and interactions. Doesn’t have to be a lot just something that didn’t make it seem like we ruined the days by wanting to purchase something. My kid thought she did something wrong that would upset her and felt bad which I had to explain to her some people just don’t like others.

Such a huge variety of comics and manga, but even more fun was browsing through all of the statues, figurines, and collectables of all types, shapes and sizes.
There was such a fun assortment of rare and hard to find treats - from candy to cereal. Fun and interesting flavors of familiar foods, new and interesting foods. It was so much fun!

Best bag and boards I’ve received from a shop.eBay is always hot or miss but I’ve ordered from these guys a few times and it always top quality for the books and packaging. Thanks for beautiful books!

The high reviews are self explanatory I met Carlos the owner at the annual FanExpo Canada. In his humble beginnings, he would courteously hand out his business cards while attendees waited in those snaking lineup for the convention. Fast forward near a decade and the result is a huge, awesome and very impressively immense store that caters to gaming, comics, art prints, toys, statues, imported candy and drinks. In terms of amazing is right up there with Heroes of Woodbridge, although Gotham's Statue and back Issue game wins hand's down. Dues to its size, Carlos employs several competent and helpful staff. One of the best comic stores in the West side and Peel Region. They will also handle your CGC needs. Thank You Carlos and Gotham Central!

Plenty of comic books for any discerning genre fan - new, old back issues, variants, TPBs, HCs, toys and a crazy range of hard to find confectionery (candy, gum, chocolate, chips, etc)

Always loved going there, the variety is awesome and they have more collectibles than I can imagine. I highly recommend this place it is literally paradise for collectors!

Carlos is the man in the local comic book community. Knowledgeable, respectful and he knows his stuff. Rest assured you can roll in as a newbie or veteran and he will cater to your needs.

Excellent store for anything Disney, marvel, DC, starwars, Harry Potter, dragon Ball, comic books, action figures, super Mario, horror films, pop! Lots of options, and sizes. They have various price points, fits every pocket. Lots of cool candies and cereal. The store has wide aisle, and accessible. Clean and mostly organized, they are working on putting more items out. Comic books packed fantastic, in a clear plastic bag, with a sturdy cardboard. Employees are great, knowledgeable and nice.

Went for free comic book day, and will defiantly go back for all my comic book purchases. Friendly staff, great selection of all comic pop culture things to buy.

Very big selection of literally everything. Most comic book shops are small and they gotta squeeze merchandise into it. This is a literal warehouse.

Recently made a purchase from Gotham Central online. Comics arrived fast and were well packaged, protected and in excellent condition. Great experience. I will make many more purchases from these guys.

Carlos - WTH. I called today and the person on the phone was not friendly at all. I was inquiring about submitting books to CGC and person said Thursday and Friday in a very rude voice. I said since we are in a lock down how do we do this. He repeated just come in Thursday and Friday in a much harsher voice. I asked for pricing as CGC is increasing the prices. He said I have to talk to the owner and no pricing is given over the phone. So I asked for you and right away he said he's too busy. There was no hey call back in a bit or I'll have him call you back. Absolutely nothing. I hope you understand why I am upset here. Under the current covid situation there is only curb side pickup. I don't want to show up to find out I can't submit or go in to submit. I don't risk both of us getting a fine for disobeying the stay at home orders. I know you are a good guy and love what you do so I will let this one slide. I will continue to support the store during the pandemic. Be Safe/Keep Safe

I shopped here for years. All it took was the staff to stop caring and the employees to become rude and elitists and I was shopping elsewhere. I asked if they bought comics and the guy who answered said “yeah, but not yours. Never. ” Didn’t even know what I was selling. ELITISTS.

Friendly staff, fair pricing, lots of variety over all and they have a points system. They got a good number of key issues on the wall. Will be going here on permanent basis from now on

I have been coming to Carlos for close to 3 decades with my comic and collectible needs. He and his staff are always welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful with their advice. They are genuinely good people and I wouldn't go anywhere else for major purchases. Props to Gotham Central!

The only negative thing was they need to keep their website up to date. Found stuff in store that isn't on the site.

Gotham Central is the best comic shop in Toronto! Carlos and the staff offer a welcoming environment where customer service is excellent, the selection is large and they carry almost every comic and variant cover. Also, with the expansion of the candy store, they offer a lot more inventory. Carlos is a great owner as every time you visit the store, he is very friendly and is always available to answer any questions. Safe to say, if you need a local comic shop, Gotham Central will satisfy all your needs!

Yeah buddy! This place is it. I'd been all over GTA with no success looking for a very specific list of comics and eventually drove to Gotham and they had everything. This is a high end outfit with a definite attention to detail, accurate grading, clean, organized, well packaged product. If you're used to buying from online comic providers you'll notice the price difference, but it's worth it for the selection and professionalism, not to mention that sick warehouse atmosphere stacked to the ceiling with toys, art and slabbs. Must visit for any comic fan

The store was huge! Amazing selection, both grades and raws. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this store too people just beggining their collection, people trying to fill a run, or that hardened collector looking for a key!

It's geek paradise. So much stock and just to much to check every items.
The staff is cool and they are really patient so you can take time to decide what you really want.
The store is beautiful and clean. I will be back.:)

Great shop. Always stocked and have so many things to look at. Staff is amazing friendly and helpful. I come once a month and I am not even from the area. Love this place!

My experience here has never been bad or good. A nice fine line in the middle, until I showed up Monday, November 3,2019 at 12pm to find out its closed. A couple people had already showed up as well and were wondering why the store isn't open yet, they seemed upset and frustrated. Hopefully the date I have given could answer why its closed. It is currently 12: 31pm.

Wow, first visit today. Jaw dropping. The owner Carlos is extremely friendly and these folks clearly know their stuff. Can't wait to come back and spend more time looking around.

This comci book store is amazing! It is massive compared to the other comic book stores I've went. This place is also not overpriced at all there are even 1$ comics. The employees are really nice and helpful. The employees know all of there stuff about comic books. If you need any recommendations for what comic book to get ask them.

High prices however expect top quality stuff and harder to find rare items, huge figure selection of comics and superheros and pop culture. Don't expect alot of anime though

Staff is great, selection is awesome, and it comes with the added benefit of being an Easter egg hunt!

Probably the best comic book store I've been to in Southwestern Ontario. Huge selection of current comics, and they get nearly all of the retailer variant covers because they stock so much. On top of that, the staff is fantastic - really friendly and helpful. It feels like you're just hanging out with your most comic-knowledgable friends at a comic book store! I also signed up for their Fivestar rewards membership, and I'm sure I'll have enough points in no time! Can't recommend this place enough!

A huge collectibles shop run by great people who truly love what they sell.
The candy section is huge and a nice surprise. Collectibles from floor to ceiling - leaving no corner absent of something interesting. A must visit for anyone in the area or passing through.

Just had a great experience visiting Gotham Central for the first time. Carlos and Adam Strange were very welcoming and knowledgeable. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I was amazed by their variety of books and variants available. I found books there that I haven’t seen anywhere else except online. I will definitely be back! Thanks for your time guys, you rock!

Gotham Central is a huge space with a lot going on. It's quite overwhelming. There are so many items that it's hard to know where to look. Whatever you're looking for in terms of comics or action figures you can probably find it here. Prices are what you would expect from a comic book/specialty shop.

Absolutely love this shop! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and are typically willing to help you when they can with hunting down specific volumes and issues.

Wait.what? A comic book and collectibles store with more inventory than you could imagine, pieces you've never seen, prices that are more than reasonable, a candy store inside it with candy and cereals I've heard of but never seen, and a group of staff who really seem happy about where they are working. I am from Toronto, and this place beats out Silver Snail and Hairy Tarantula as far as I'm concerned. If you don't live nearby, it's well worth the drive!

Great staff and selection of collectables! This must be one of the largest comic and collectable stores in Mississauga. Definitely worth checking out if you're into the genre! They also have a candy factory inside so be warned as they also have some very awesome tidbits!
