I've used Gotogate a couple times. They can save you a bit of money, but their Customer service is not great. Outsourced to India and their reps won't hesitate to just direct you to contact the airlines directly without offering any further support. There doesn't seem to be any training in place that mandates them to provide you with a concrete solution. I had to call a second time to speak to a rep that knew what he was doing. There seem to be technical hiccups too - the booking confirmation I was given from Gotogate for one of my flights was incorrect, which caused difficulty in accessing the booking. This is why I needed support in the first place.

The worst service I have ever dealt with in my life, whether in terms of customer service or the money back process. They have a very poor system as well.
They canceled my flight five minutes after confirming the reservation even though they had deducted the amount and then told me that I would have to wait two to three months until I got my money back.
I do not advise anyone to book through them or deal with them at all

AGENTS WILL LIE TO YOU TO END THE PHONE CALL. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!

I purchased a plane ticket through GotoGate with flex travel insurance. Unfortunately, my travel companion had a medical emergency and was unable to travel. I had to cancel my trip. I attempted to contact GotoGate from the moment I found out. I was offered to move my trip. After attempting several dates, they said I would receive a refund instead. I asked for a follow-up via email but was not sent a follow-up. I called again the next week to confirm my refund status but was told the other agent "lied" to me and that I was not eligible for a refund and would not be receiving one. I have called and emailed several times since then asking to speak to a supervisor but have not been contacted. Every time I call in over the past months I am told I will be called back and they refuse to transfer me to a supervisor. I was finally called last week but it was during a time I was unavailable. I attempted to call in since then and have been told once again I will be receiving a callback. This company is not offering the service I paid for, is not offering any help, and is refusing to acknowledge that their employee LIED to me to get me off the phone.your company is not truthful and should not be trusted.

Poor experience, avoid this travel agency, never refund even after buying extra cover, and 3 hrs holding time on phone after answering the call by broken English speaker!

They are scammers. Please don't use their services. They will show you the lowest price and after the confirmation, they will cancel your flight at the last moment without any refund. Call Center agents are from India all are scammers. If you are suffering with them, please inform TICO and they will cancel their license.

I had booked flights from Gotogate which i was redirected to from Kayak Flights. After booking I read reviews which really freaked me out. I ended up calling them, and i spoke to three people. One didn't respond to me and two others were very supportive. They gave me the booking codes for each flight and I was able to verify my flights with all of them. To save money, I took multiple flights, but a bummer since I had to pay way more for baggage and every flight had extremely different rule for check in and carry on, with most flights charging exorbitant rates for both check and carry on. I would say before booking any flight, definitely check if baggage is included or not. Also double check the layover and make sure it is a minimum of 3-4 hours. I had 2 hours layover at Paris and me and my husband ran across the airport for 1.5 hours to catch our connecting flight, which was very stressful. Again, not gotogate's fault but make sure to check all these details before booking. Needless to say, I was lucky as none of my flights were cancelled with the exception of one being delayed for 5 hours: (so I was able to travel and come back with all the flights I booked.

This is the worst travel agency I've ever encountered. I am giving them zero star (but Google requires at least 1 star). I found this site via Kayak.com earlier today, which led me to their site and I went through the booking process (fill the name, DOB, etc). Everything went smoothly. However, at the last page after I entered my credit card info and hit enter, the final amount came out to be more than double of what was shown on the last payment page! I immediately tried to contact the travel company and waited for about 10 minutes on the phone. When I finally got to talk to an agent, she basically refused to believe it's their site's issue, and insisted on charging me $93 dollars for cancellation (less than 40 minutes after the booking). I tried to reason with her, but to no avail. When I asked if there's a supervisor I can talk to, she said no. When I asked if there's a telephone number or a corporate email I can take my issue up with, she also said no. This is completely unacceptable and irresponsible. I am going to file a complaint with my credit card company and also with better business bureau. I've only written good reviews about companies, restaurants, etc. I know business has been tough for many businesses over the past 2 years. However, today's experience with this company has led to write a bad review here for the very firs time. I would advise all to avoid dealing with this company!

Reported them to the BBB. Worst customer service ever. Expect multiple 3 hour waits on hold to talk to someone and don't expect to get your problem resolved. This is the company to talk to if you want to bang your head against a wall over and over again.

Please don’t use this agent to buy a ticket. Once you go through them to buy a ticket then you trapped your self and actually buy a stress and headache. Avoid raise your voice to stop them scamming people in day light.

SCAMMERS
Ryanair cancelled my flight and refunded Gotogate. The refund was processed within 5 working days.

6 months, countless calls & emails later and Gotogate.still won't acknowledge that the flight even got canceled. Let alone that they owe me a refund.

I’ve been calling gotogate for my refund since November 2021 after the airline canceled the flights. The airline has released my money to gotogate but they won’t issue my refund 8 months later.
They have a rude customer service team that has a generic message saying they’ve escalated things.
I’m tired and frustrated with this company. I need my refund NOW! Or I’ll come in to your company physically to get it.

I bought plane tickets for my husband and myself to go to Amsterdam in May-June 2022.

While the price was good, the flight arrangement on the return was so terrible, I need to write to you to prevent other people from going through this.

Never, ever, arrange a flight return that connects on a different airline.

Our return flight, arranged by Go-To-Gate, had us fly from Amsterdam to Dublin on Aer Lingus. And Dublin to Washington DC on United Airlines. This was a disaster.

At the Amsterdam airport, Aer Lingus could not give us a boarding pass for our connection in Dublin.

The Aer Lingus agent in Amsterdam said they could not give us the boarding pass for United because it’s a different airline. They said we could get the boarding pass at the United gate. This was absolutely not true. We couldn't even get to the United gate in Dublin without a boarding pass.

In Dublin, we had to literally leave the airport, re-enter the airport, check in as if starting from scratch, wait in an enormous line to get our boarding pass, go through security AGAIN, another enormous line, go through CUSTOMS, a huge, enormous line, and then go to our gate. With the enormous crowds, this would have taken at least 2 hours, not to mention the utter complete confusion.

I am 76 years old and my husband is 81. No matter what the age, no one should have to go through that process. I can't imagine a family with kids going through this. I had to arrange for help at the Dublin Airport and I was lucky to get it, but only because my husband is 81 years old and has some trouble walking. We would have definitely missed out flight without help.

DON’T EVER ARRANGE FLIGHTS WHERE THE CONNECTION IS ON A DIFFERENT AIRLINE AND THERE IS NO BOARDING PASS. It’s a nightmare.

Don't ever use a third party like GO-To-GATE. You cannot trust them. Don't do it.

Wouldn’t even give it one star. Stay away from this company. You will be paying through the nose for anything and everything. Think you can call them? It will cost ya - that is if you can actually get through. I waited well over an hour and never got through. Decided that cancelling the flight (was charged $150) was worth it.
