I recently moved back to Windsor from Ottawa after living in Ottawa for 5 years. For over 2 months I've been desperately looking for a full-time job in Windsor, but I was mostly unsuccessful. Even with my credentials and certificates that I heavily invested to obtain, I was able to obtain a minimum wage job tha was not even full-time. Nothing wrong with minimum wage job but with the economy, it's impossible to survive on minimum wage (rent, food, car insurance, gas, phone bill etc.). I've been looking for work for almost a year, unable to make any progress past the initial interview. Goudreau interviewed me Thursday and today I'm working in a company I can see myself staying with for years to come. Kelly kept me informed as the process went through and seems like she knew exactly what kind of work I am interested in. 100% would use their services again.

After visiting multiple recruitment agencies and having being offered some low income jobs I was still searching for a career path that would make me happy. After getting in touch with Kelly at Groudreau personnel and going in and meeting with her I was at the beginning feeling let down due to her having limited opportunities for me because of my search criteria. Sara Swinton is a laughable person to assist you with your career, she’s facetious and is passive-aggressive in the manner of how she speaks with people.
In dealing with her one time it’s easy to see she’s out of touch with current industry trends and mainly relies on conjecture.
If you’re looking for a basic low skill 9-5 position perhaps she can assist otherwise if you want & prefer better results I would suggest utilizing LinkedIn or Indeed as a much better option and overall experience for you.
There is more I could say but honestly it’s not worth the effort to talk more about something so useless.

I rejected you actually and your client wasn’t a desirable location even so much that you had to repost the position and then still couldn’t fill it.
Experience in terms of time isn’t a qualitative indicator, no worries though your archaic approach will continue to yield you less than average results for years to come, I wish you continued success in your mediocrity!

I spent about 4 weeks applying for jobs through indeed and other sites, leading to zero interviews. I submitted my resume to Goudreau Personnel by Swinton, and the following day I was set up with an interview with one of their recruiters, Kelly. She was able to to help focus on what sort of work I was looking for and to help try to determine a good workplace fit. Within 2 days I had an interview with a potential employer and before the end of the week I was employed. Even after the hire, Kelly continued to follow up to ensure a smooth transition for all. Unbelievably unprofessional. I did a phone interview with Sara for a maintenance reliability manager. She said she was sending in my resume for a position she was working on. I have never heard from her since. I sent two “follow up” emails and one phone call. Radio silence. She did not return the emails or the phone call. I can’t tell you how disappointing that is. Never again with this firm.

The review is from me, not a friend. It’s not a foul review. It’s the truth. How hard is it to respond to an email or a phone call? If a client does not want to move forward with a candidate, that’s fine. It can’t always be a good fit. Not letting the client know is unprofessional. Funny how you quickly responded to a review but could respond to a respectful follow up request. As for coming into you office, that’s not going to happen. Maybe I will refresh your memory. A phone call to your office just last Friday as well as an email. Equally, an email for a follow up at the end of February. Please don’t play the victim here.

Starting with 1 star let's see if they can make it a 5 star experience for me. So far, I'm being ghosted. No response after I called and sent two emails.

Very disapointed in this place. I got offered a job did all the paperwork and even put in my direct deposit. I could not start the next morning because i am a father and needed more then 12 hours to get my babysitter. So the woman said she would call me as soon as she gets a start date. It has bin about a month now and i never even got a call saying i didnt get the job. I came in and wasted 4 hours of my life, very unprofessional.

Sara not only took my qualifications into account, but also took the time to get to know me as a person. She ended up matching me with an incredible job with a great company in no time!
