Amazing food and service. We always travel from Waterloo to Cambridge just for this restaurant. Siddhant our server explained everything patiently and offered complimentary birthday dessert too. So far the best authentic Indian taste I had in KWC.
Awesome food and ambience. Was here for a party and it was very well catered. Food quality was still as good as ordering A La carte. Will definitely return for dine in.
1 year ago i wrote "Meal was decent. Nothing out of the ordinary. " After eating takeout. But the true flavor of the food was in dining. The food was fresh and absolutely tasty. I highly recommend eating in house rather than takeout.
I came with my friend and our server was Siddhant. What an incredible job by that guy. He took care of us, served us and recommended items as well. He took care of our finest detail. He deserved promotion as well. Other staff service was also good. You guys must visit this place!
The Tri City Food Ninja's went to visit Grain of Salt this month!
Booking a reservation for a large group was a breeze. There is a room just off to the right when you first walk in that can fit 25 people comfortably.
Our server was fabulous. At first I felt bad that he was taking care of such a large group but that quickly faded when I see how well he was managing it. He deserves a lot of praise. Everyone in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. Makes the atmosphere awesome.
The food was SO good. I ordered the Chicken Pakora as a starter and then the Butter Chicken Thali for my main. By far the highlight for me was the main. I feel like every penny of my money was well spent. It was so much food and everything tasted delicious. Have a feeling this will be a new regular spot for me!
Paner tawa masala was super delicious with combination of cheese and cottage cheese in tomato gravy - A perfect indian taste. One of the best restaurants in KWC / Guelph Area. A must try.
Tried their Veg Maratha. Believe me it was so so so amazing. The flavour was actually bursting in mouth, and that orange creamy gravy is to die for. Would totally recommend this place if you’re in KW area. I’m completely sold out to them. Would be definitely visiting again.
I have been wanting to try Grain of Salt’s food for a few years now and never got around to it. So we got it for a last minute Mother’s Day dinner. Our meal was very good. I was surprised to see white meat in the curry chicken. I was expecting dark meat. But over all good experience. The samosas had more flavour than other samosas I’ve eaten. Portions were decent. Enough for dinner the next day.
Visited the restaurant on last day before lockdown, the restaurant s was clean and they maintained physical distancing. However I ordered a meat platter and it was the worst meat I have eaten so far. There was no proper marination of spices. Extremely bland food.
Grain of Salt is hands down my favourite Indian restaurant of all time! They have the best butter chicken and the mango sauce is to die for. I recommend to anyone who will listen.
The best Indian restaurant in town. The quality of food has been same from last 7 years. I will highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to have good indian food
Recently visited here. Food was so so. Rude and cold customer service. And Especially i found hair in the papad they serve for starters. They not even apologized, no professionalism at all. Would not recommend at all.
Good food, good staff - Harsh was fabulous! Really enjoyed all the dishes they have to offer. Overall you'll have a great experience once you're doing with the tedious wait period - which they really need to work on. You can't have people stand in line outside the restaurant in this weather. Either take reservations or have a ledger for the people waiting to be seated and then call once they're next in line.
1. Customer Service I would give zero star, the girl in front desk does not know how to treat customer she behaves as though she gives free food to all. I was waiting their quite some time & she is behaving like that to all.
I'd rate this a 3.7 but I can't do that with the stars. The highlight of the chicken korma was the garlic naan to go with it as well as rice. The base of the korma could've been thicker as it was slightly thin. The chicken pieces were inconsistent in size but consistent in flavour. It was decently filling as I shared it with my girlfriend and we were satisfied with the portion but next time we'd order 2 orders of naan bread. I'd recommend this to a friend.
They serve the best Indian food in KW region. Their gravy is so tasty and doesn’t taste like an instant store bought gravy. I completely fell in love with their garlic naan and malai kofta curry.
Whenever I crave Indian cuisine, I drive out of my way to Grain of Salt because it is simply the best! Their tasty dishes are flavourful and high quality! They also offer quite the selection for whatever mood you are in. The atmosphere and service of dining in is great, but don't worry - take out meals are just as good. Thanks Grain of Salt!
Bouy.can it be more spicy? Can’t identify any flavour other than all lot of ginger, Might as well eat cardboard box. Maybe good review bcz only one in Region. Also I ordered manchurian gravy to try out with other punjabi curries - they used kind of kofta in making manchurian! Stop selling manchurian if you don't understand diff betn manchurian mixture and other mixture. Try your self- Veg maratha and manchurian.
