Seaton trail follows creek closely with many openings to get closer to the edge of the water. Densely forested trail with lot of mosquitos during the spring/summer seasons. Good for hiking and cycling. Not much wildlife though apart from common birds, squirrels and chipmunks.

There is a larger dog park down the hill! No signs posted, but a huge area for the dogs to run about!

Hiked the southern 1/3 of the Seaton Trail from Concession 3 to Forestream Trail and back. Very scenic especially along the banks of the West Duffins Creek. The trail itself has been neglected in many places as there are many established unofficial trails in competition with the marked trail.

Secluded trail for hiking on a hot summer day. Very cool and shady with multiple species of trees. Also good for dog walks. Park is midway and appeared well kept with litter bags to dispose of your dog's litter. There is also a river at the base of the trail. Lovely place to hang out if you're a nature person.

One of my favourite hikes along the Seaton Trail. Quieter than other sections and some beautiful views.

Had some great walks here with the dog. You can enter Grand valley park from the pickering dog park if you continue walking past the gated area. A nice peaceful walk beside a river, which is particularly pleasant during autumn.

Fantastic park for those with or without dogs! 2 separate fully fenced spaces (1 for small dogs and puppies*ONCE OF APPROPRIATE AGE/SHOTS*, and the other for bigger dog)

Not to mention the PHENOMENAL trails that criss cross and loop throughout the park! Dogs are SUPPOSED to be leashed when not in the fenced in areas, and are frequently not.

Not well marked. We had no idea where to go at one point and were forced to turn back: (love the dog parks though

Great forestry trails, no stroller friendly. The big size parking lot is a bonus. There are not public washrooms here.
Perfect place for walking and cycling through the forest.
The dogs park is spacious here.
I love the river views specially.

There are two fenced dog parks there where dogs can be unleashed. But some people unleashed their dogs while walking down the hiking. And two dogs tried to attack us, which was scary and disgusting (the owner neither bothered to apologise, nor put the dog on leash). We felt uncomfortable and left the place.

We really loved the wide trails. It allows for very good physical distancing. There was a lot to see and do. We didn't really go off trail a ton because we try keep our step counts around 20,000 so we don't completely tire out our children and have to carry them back. We have had a great time hiking this Summer and Fall. We are already looking forward to some more fun filled hikes next year.

Beautiful park. Lots of winding trails and the views are worth the trip alone. Cannot recommend enough

Great view from the "cliffs" and a lovely place to hike if you dont mind largely un-maintained trails.

2 leash free enclosed dog parks, one at top near parking lot, one larger one down the long hill. City maintained no pick up in winter months, very poopy, please pick up waste.

Was here for Petapalooza but also noted that the off leash area is a good size and fully fenced. Would take my dog here on a normal day.

This off leash dog park is a hidden gym. We take our one year goldendoodle Benji to this park on a regular basis. In some cases owners bring their little aggressive dogs here too. As an own you need to be very vigilant during a visit.

Great place for a hike with the dog. Mid-level difficulty on some of the more interior trails. Beautiful scenery.

There is a small dog park and a large dog park down the hill. Those with mobility issues are welcome to use the small dog park as it can be difficult to get down the hill, specially in bad weather.

Great atmosphere the trails could be a little more attended to. So muddy. And then it gets very dense quickly.

This park is amazing. The location is well maintained and equipped for the individual or group hikers. Bare in mind the location is not manned and maintenance is done off-hours. A true wilderness experience so close to the city and you don't have to drive for hours to get there. There is a leash free dog park in this location which is a fantastic opportunity for dog owners. You have to be vigilant though it is not an urban park where you could get help fast. Always have company and ensure your cell phone is fully charged. If you venture deeper into the Seaton Trail be prepared for above average physical activity, it is not all level and there will be stretches where the trail just goes up. Also bring along water and light snacks because there are no cafeterias there.
