Greek on Portage

I don't feel this "Greek " food comes anywhere close to tasting like authentic Greek food. Nothing appetizing looking at the individual nappy size salad. Chicken souvlaki skewer was bland, no umph seasoning. Rice and potatoes were nothing to even note. Sorry

A young (er) female server was lovely and went over and above to make things right when so much went wrong. So for that, thank you.

We got breakfast while on vacation and ended up coming back the following day because it was so delicious.

The food is delicious - but a little different than "Gyros" in Germany.
Except for the hustle and bustle, worth the walk. Everything gluten-free except for the pita!

The waitress had a very bad cold. And the food was stale. I've had better greek food in food courts at malls. The restaurant was clean and had great decor.

This was our first time at Greek on Portage and were very impressed! We had the souvlaki dinner and souvlaki in a pita. The presentation was great and the food was amazing! Will definitely go back when we are in the area again.

We went for a birthday celebration. The server was friendly and attentive. I have Celiac disease and she helped with my food choices and communication with the kitchen. The food was excellent! My friend is Greek and she loves it here!

Some of the best, most authentic Greek food I’ve ever had. Grilled squid, hummus and Horiatiki were all incredible. Highly recommend.

Food was tasty, atmosphere is great! Nice Greek background music and reasonably priced! Always a good choice when in Niagara.

One of the best restaurants in Niagara Falls! It is true authentic Greek food. The food here is high quality and fresh. Their pita bread is really warm and most likely homemade. The staff are really friendly as well. The price here is truly worth it and it's not super expensive at all. Price can range from $15 to $30 for an entrée. Would highly recommend if you want to eat high quality food with a reasonable price. I also would like to add that the interior of the restaurant is pretty and clean and sticks with the Greek theme.

The restaurant has an ample, comfortable seating area, the service was good but we felt a bit rushed even thought the place wasn't busy at the time of pur arrival. We ordered Saganaki appetizer, which is kefalotyri greek, flambéed cheese with pita, it has salty, strong, flavour, melty on the i side and crunchy on the outside, very delicious! The chiken bacon pasta was creamy and flavourful, accompanied with a well prepared, small greek salad.

Amazing food, great service, I would definitely recommend to a friend. Our favourite was the Octopus and tzatziki. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was authentic. 2 thumbs way up.

Having a nice dinner at Greek on Portage was a highlight of our visit to Niagara. We learned it is a family-run business that was established decades ago. We tried many of the entrees for our group and they were all delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

We ate outside on the patio. The server was excellent. She was friendly, attentive and courteous. The food was delicious. The bruschetta appetizer was soooo good.

First time trying Greek on portage and I must say.the food was. * chefs kiss yum yummy yummy I'll definitely be getting the Greek salad again very good

Food was great, service was excellent, prices were more than reasonable. My girls said it was the best chicken souvlaki they have ever had and the potatoes were awesome. That is high praise from my children. They even brought my little one out a slice of cheesecake for her birthday. If you want a decent meal and don’t want to get hosed by the usual Niagara Falls prices, it’s worth the short drive.

This is a hidden gem of sorts.it is very unassuming from the road, but we'll worth locating! We love the fantastic Greek food, a decent and relatively inexpensive wine list, and the great atmosphere of this restaurant. We try to visit Greek on Portage every couple of months. The grilled octopus is one of our favourites. Highly recommended!

Food was incredible. Took a little long to make but everything came out hot and delicious so I didn't mind the wait! Great service would definitely come here again

Today a group of six of us went to Greek on Portage to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day and the decision to go here was without a doubt, an excellent choice.
We started with a few appetizers. The Saganaki cheese, the Grilled Calamari and the Dolmades. All were very good.

Three of us had the Lamb Chops which came with a small greek salad and two side dishes. We all opted for a double portion of roasted vegetables. This dish was enjoyed by all of us. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The vegetables were cooked perfectly with just enough crispiness. Not too hard, not too soft, but just the way we liked it.

One lady had chicken souvlaki skewers with Caesar salad; one had chicken and bacon penne with already sauce and last but not least, one had the chicken souvlaki with greek salad. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes.

The portions were large. Nobody had any room for desserts.

The server was very attentive to our needs, and very friendly.

We will definitely return to Greek on Portage to try other items on their menu.

I've had the calamari there a few times. The first two times that it was delivered it was excellent. The third time was dine-in and not a terrific experience. The calamari was not near as good and the service was terrible. Two days ago I picked it up and although it was very tender it was almost an inch thick and not crispy at all. I was very disappointed.

Went there for lunch mid week. We had the two amazing meals, moussaka and souvlaki platter. It was authentic Greek as opposed to some other places where they serve the typical entrées.
The price on the the lunch menu was very reasonable. We were a bit hungry so we asked for off menu items which they had no issue entertaining. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. It appears they recently renovated inside.
The server was nice and the food came out quickly.
We will return.
