I ordered the exohico and my goodness it was delicious. This was my second time visiting this restaurant and I highly recommend Greek Tycoon for your greek food fix. The staff are always wonderful and the overall vibe is so welcoming and family orientated. Looking forward to my next visit.

Me and my family have been coming to Greek Tycoon for many years now! We LOVE Tommy and how personable he is with us everytime we visit. It feels very homey. The food is delicious. My favourites are the Calamari and the Tycoon Chicken. My only complaint is wanting more of that delicious cream sauce on the Tycoon Chicken. I would pay extra to have more.

We've been eating here for 20+ years. It's our favourite Greek food anywhere (including Greece). The serving sizes are good, the value is good and the food is absolutely delicious.

Stopped in before a hockey game around 4 pm with a 4 top. The place was packed, and they managed to seat us.

This place was fanominal. Started off with the bread, then chicken Giro and chicken souvlaki.

Highly recommend this restaurant.

I usually get take out but this time we decided to try dine in, and what a great experience! The place is super cute. One of my favourite restaurants from Durham! Great service! They are super nice And the food is delicious!

Fresh, delicious and simply amazing! These guys are the best. Can’t beat $29 for two amazing lunch entrees like this. Also includes a fresh bun.

Highly recommend this restaurant- it was great prior to indoor dining restrictions and has managed to maintain food quality with switching to primarily takeout options (as of posting). Price per portion is very reasonable and flavour is consistently excellent (we can vouch for the chicken souvlaki, gyros, and chicken/pork skewers). If you live in the Durham area, or are passing through and need to grab something close off the 401, you won't be disappointed.

I waited in an outdoor line in the cold for over 30min to pick up food that was ready 40min ago. I should have had the food 10min after if was ready but there were 20+ ppl ahead of me. It's very selfish to have a store front and have customers pick up food from a little window. If you want to be a drive through then you are in the wrong business. PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THIS BUSINESS, they don't care about their customers discomfort. Not even a line for pick up vs orders. Terrible service!

Awesome food, great customer service, following all health regulations, Tommy and his family always take the time to have a small chat with their customers. They have been doing a great job with the take out, I'm looking forward to when they decide to have customers dine in, I miss the amazing staff and atmosphere. Patricia Messina

We ordered a family dinner tonight. It was absolutely delicious! Souvlaki, rice & potatoes were piping hot. Greek salad was crisp and fresh. Tzatziki was perfect! We will definitely be ordering again. If anyone is craving Greek Food, we highly recommend The Greek Tycoon!

Excellent food! Huge portions! Won’t try another Greek restaurant. We ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was amazing. The flavour of the chicken was so good, very fresh salad and the rice was so flavourful. Tried it for the first time, will definitely go back.

Our family would like to express the joy and happiness your chef provided Labour Day weekend. It was my daughter's 25th birthday and she had asked for Greek food. I have to say from the point of ordering the food to pick up, the staff at your restaurant were fabulous. My daughter was quite pleased and I was very happy with the freshness of the greek salad and the warm taste of the the kababs and I can not forget your tzatiki, wow, loved it.

Love this place definitely a staple in Whitby, their calamari is enough of a reason stop in alone! You will not be disappointed!

Fries, way too much salt.

My favourite Greek spot in Whitby. Excellent souvlaki, tzatziki and you can get grilled veg instead of Greek Salad, Rice, Potatoes or Fries. The grilled veg is a massive serving as well.

Firstly, I am not a big fan of Greek food, it is typically last on line of cuisines I typically go for. With that being said, Greek Tycoon has made me into a believer. The food is phenomenal! I typically get the roasted lamb, and it is so perfectly cooked I can cut the meat off with a butterknife. The tzatziki sauce has a nice zing to it which is quite unique and satisfying. The meals are a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the value in quality and quantity. The owners are friendly and treat you like family if you are a regular. The interior presents its self as very traditional, which really adds to the "Greek" feel of everything. The only thing I can say as a downside is that the place is very tucked away and from the outside presents itself as cheap, which is not at all the experience once you get inside. It would be nice to see the place stand out a bit more from the exterior and present its self in a way that reflects the great and traditional quality that awaits you inside.

My family and I have eaten at the Tycoon many times over the years, many occasions including birthdays, anniversaries been celebrated. When we want Greek food, there is never any debate as to where, just which menu item to order. The choice is always great.

Ordered ahead for pick up for my mom's birthday this month and we were blown away by the portion size!

The food was so tasty and fresh. I loved the tzatziki. The rice could have used a bit more flavor to it, but was still well enjoyed by everyone. Absolutely recommend this place if you want to leave feeling stuffed and satisfied!

Best Greek in town. Family souvlaki is a great deal. Closed for dining right now. Indoor dining has a nice atmosphere. Super friendly. Food is amazing

Absolutely the greatest place to eat when your craving for Greek food. The staff was polite and professional and the food was just amazing. No complaints here.

Ordered a big meal for my mom’s birthday. My dad went to pick it up and they forgot to give him the salad and tzaziki. We called and they offered to remake the whole meal, we said that wasn’t necessary but they gave us wine and saganiki to make up for it. This was way more than we expected, it wasn’t necessary at all but very appreciated! We’ve been here before and the food has always been delicious, authentic Greek. The great customer service is just the cherry on top.

Extremely tasty food, flavorful and very large portions given and the staff is very kind.

This is one of my go to places but last time I ordered for pickup my chicken souvlaki was dry, burnt and very disappointing.

Hopefully it was a blip and not the new norm.

Order a few weeks ago and they made a small error with our order, and said they would credit us back next time.
I ordered this past weekend not only did they credit back for the small error but didn't charge me a thing for my entire order. Gentlemen who was working the take out window is always a pleasure to deal with.

What are the odds that another Scott M.was picking up food 5 minutes before me. I get to the outside counter to pay and my very large family order was given to the wrong guy in error. S*#T happens! They were very apologetic and rushed a new order for me. I was given a discount but I said not to worry and before I could pull my card away from the Interac device the owner slapped the machine against my VISA for TAP payment. The food was great too! We'll definitely order here again. And when COVID allows for in person dining, we'll be there. Thank you:)

I had rated this spot 5 stars three years ago, however the quality of food has gone down. Not sure if this is because I ordered family package, but potatoes came out tasteless unlike it used to be. Overall quality of food has dropped.

Best Greek food you’ll find in the GTA! The lamb was cooked perfectly and the staff is friendly and always provides amazing service. Will definitely be back!

Always a good experience and never any issues, they are the most consistent restaurant when it come to quality and service.

This is the best Greek restaurant that you will find anywhere in the GTA. The food is super delicious. I love the Calamari and the octopus is so succulent. The steaks are high quality and beautifully spiced. The only thing better is the friendly service from the staff. The price is very affordable and the portions are huge so be prepared for leftovers. They deliver with all delivery services or pickup.

Our meals of chicken slovaki and pork slovaki dinners were delicious and flavorful. Generous portions, tzatziki was the perfect amount of garlic, the bun was fresh and the salad and dressing was delicious and fresh.

If I could add another five stars I would this was the best Greek food I have ever had in my life highly recommended I will be back

One of our go to places for dinner and a nice date (precovid). Their take out is still fantastic and the food hit the spot. Our favorite Greek food and imo the best Greek food I've ever had. I highly recommend the calamari, lamb and chicken tzatziki. They serve full sized salads too.

Celebrated my birthday at home and ordered food from here. It truly made the experience that much better with its amazing food! Food and service was great and very professional. Definitely ordering from here again!

Ordered my husbands birthday dinner. He loves lamb. The lamb was cooked to perfection! The salads, one village and one greek were fresh and crispy. I had the chicken souvlaki. We have an almost full container of rice leftovers. And I still have my salad for tomorrow.
What an amazing set up! A heated covered wait area.

If I'm being honest, my experience at The Greek Tycoon was at least a 8 out of 5 stars.
Took my family here on a whim on Sunday and honestly it was an experience like none that Ive experienced for some time.
First off the staff was very attentive. At every opportunity they ensured that we were good. The manager Tommy makes sure the experience is what it was. He makes everyone who walks through the door feel like family.
His meal suggestions were spot on!
The appetizers were amazing! You have to try these.

My main was the roasted lamb and in a word, it was AMAZING! The other meals at the table were the sea bass and the stuffed chicken.

One thing I have to warn you about this place though!
You're going to leave there like a stuffed turkey. The portion sizes are more than enough!

We just finished a spectacular dinner at the Greek Tycoon. The food was perfectly cooked and everyone at the restaurant was attentive and friendly.

I don't know why I never went in all those years I drove by. This is a real Greek restaurant, managed by a Greek family. Ordered catering food for a party of 8, the owners were super flexible in my request and offered different ways to make my order more cost effective. The food was great, cooked with love.

We ordered off their catering menu for a birthday dinner celebration at our house. From the moment I sent the email requesting the pricing to the moment we picked up the food they were very easy to work with. The food was ready at the time requested and they even helped carry it to my car. We ordered the chicken, rice, potatoes and salad and it came buffet style. (They even provided paper plates, napkins and plastic cutlery) The food was fantastic. We really enjoyed our first experience with Greek Tycoon and will definitely be coming back!

Just OK. The spanikopta had been made well in advance and then dried out when they reheated it. I wouldn't return here.

Went here with a friend who loves this restaurant.it's nice cozy restaurant and the service was great. But I found the food just ok (may be it's just me as I am not a big fan of Greek food).

Bad experience. Young manager was aweful and no customer service. Price on website was different then in the restaurant. I will never go again.

Had dinner there with my family and it was an amazing experience. The food was great the service was exceptional. Loved the cheese, the potatoes were moist and buttery throughout, the meats were of great quality, everything was fresh and so healthy. I definitely recommend this.

Celebrated our 18th Anniversary dinner at Greek Tycoon. Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic staff as well as being presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! What a great surprise!

The Greek Tycoon in Whitby is our favourite restaurant. The food is great, the service is great, the atmosphere is friendly, and we always feel welcome and appreciated. It is a family run restaurant with Tom leading the way, welcoming guests and checking on customers through their meals. Staff are friendly, professional and attentive. Food is served hot and portions are large - you will not go away hungry and you may take home some for dinner the next day. Salad is included with the entrees. We always recommend this restaurant to friends. Favourites include moussaka, lamb exohiko, Tycoon Chicken, chicken shish kebab and roast lamb. The restaurant is often quite busy, so reservations are good idea. They also have a lot of take-out customers - this is very popular is as well.

Just yesterday my wife asked me to stop off and pick up Greek food for dinner. We have always been very happy with the meals I bring home. The food is mouth-watering tasty and we always have left-overs! On this day while I was waiting for my meals (I was told it would be 20 minutes and it was ready in 20! - great service!), I was pleasantly surprised at being offered a beverage while I waited but as I watched the interactions of the staff with the patrons, it was easy to see the friendly the way that everyone made you feel and it was like you were part of the family. I overheard a table say that they loved the food and they would be coming back on a regular basis! Other customers that had either called in their orders or used the online ordering system were greeted with friendly welcoming smiles, and it was very clear that there were many regulars that showed their appreciation with handshakes, hugs and the traditional kiss on each cheek! Great food, great service and, great people! If you haven't been please go and experience the Greek Tycoon 'family' experience!

I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki with Potato. It came with chicken, rice, potato and a side of Greek Salad.

The potatoes were over salty and uninspired. I have had Greek before and the potatoes are an easy way to show culinary skills and flare. These potatoes came off as lazy. They were boiled-which is fine but it could have even used a quick toss in a skillet with olive oil to crispy the outside. But I digress. The rice was seasoned and cooked well, but could have used less salt. The salad was surprising-I was expecting an authentic Greek salad, but it was just a run-of-the-mill salad with two olives in it. Two olives. Two.

The complimentary bread rolls were very fresh and seemed like they were made in-house. Additionally, they also serve pita as a side item. I would have preferred they served complimentary pitas instead of the bread.

The chicken was probably the best thing on the plate. It tasted fresh and tender and is the best souvlaki I've had in a long time. This was the only thing on the plate that 'tasted' Greek. Plenty of seasoning and flavour. Very good even as leftovers the night after. This was the saving grace of the meal.

This place was also pretty expensive. Almost $20 for the souvlaki. Kind of a stretch considering the over all quality could have been better.

Good food but depends on mood if it comes late or super early as well as it was over cooked the gyro and dry. Otherwise it's great size but wish they offer gyro dinner instead of pita sandwich.
