As a cottage I’m always dealing with biting insects. The Outdoor Spray is highly effective.

This was my first order from Green & Frugal and it will not be my last.

Great experience: the website is clean and easy to navigate with great information on how to make your own creations; EXCELLENT customer service with a team that will keep you informed about your order every step of the way; great products, selection, and prices; great packaging job (shipment).

My package was a wee bit delayed, but as stated above, it was well worth the wait (I think the delay was a one-off; stuff happens!)

I would also like to add that the foot powder they make is incredible. I realize that maybe that is a weird thing to say but when you find something great, you gotta sing it from the roof tops! I used it before a long hike today and my feet are fresh as a daisy. It doesn't really have a scent (super light one), it absorbs moisture, and it has anti fungal properties. Best of all, it doesn't feel like anything (no tingling, no weird powder feeling between the toes, etc.).

I can't wait to try the shampoo bars and other goodies I ordered! XOXO

I love coming here for all my natural beauty product needs. Their bar soap smells heavenly, especially the avocado lemon grass. They sell bulk raw ingredients to make your own beauty products and they also sell ready made stuff, like body butters, facial oils, natural deodorants and much more.

I only recently discovered this place and wish I had discovered it sooner. It has become my go to place for natural cleaning and laundry and personal care products. Good quality and great prices. Also love the informative Instagram posts.
When it comes to sustainable products, this company is the real deal, No greenwashing!
I especially like that you can drop off empty glass jars and black takeout containers to get repurposed. So sad to hear the Kensington Market location will be closing. I hope another west end or downtown location will open in the near future, I love shopping here!

Love love love the facial cleanser. Takes my waterproof mascara off quickly and gently. And the scent is so fabulous!

What a lovely shop with friendly and helpful staff. Great products made in-house. Prices are reasonable and I really appreciate the section with “imperfect” items at a discounted price. I picked up some facial serum, beard oil for my husband and some DIY items to make gifts. I’ll definitely be back!

I'm happy to read all the good reviews, but I just can't relate. I bought some supplies from here two years ago and they never held up. Along with some baking soda and vinegar, I got two or three spray bottles, and a soap pump. All of the spray bottles broke within a year (and maybe 4 uses each) and the soap pump never worked. It doesn't spring back up no matter what soap I use, and now more recently the soap doesn't always come up until a few seconds after I've stopped trying, when it just dribbles out and makes a mess. I've only filled it twice. I'm not being crazy aggressive with them or anything so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'll keep buying the temporary stuff, but the long-term things just didn't work for me.

I was very skeptical to try the all natural deodorant but I am hooked. I ordered the cedarwood and patchouli and it is the best deodorant I have ever used. I will not use anything else. I am looking forward to try the other scents. I am about to try the shampoo bars and the new oil cleanser. Can't wait for my next order to arrive. Very impressed with the quick shipping and response to my questions I had prior to ordering. I have two gf's hooked as well so we save on shipping by doing bulk orders together. One very happy customer here. I hope to visit the store front one day.

I love this company! All their products are amazing and non toxic. Their soaps, body scrubs and lotions are a must try. I’m in the USA and continue to buy from them, haven’t found anyone as great as them. Thank you for making such wonderful, safe products! ️

Wonderful customer service and Super products. I've tried body butters (unscented, cocoa, healing), face oil, essential oils, which were all great. PLUS 2 of my favorite things are the muscle and joint rub and the cypress patchouli deodorant. Also love that shopping here means a lower environmental impact while enjoying high quality products.

I love this shop! It has a great variety of oils and day-to-day things you need. The staff here are so welcoming and helpful as well. I will definitely be getting my shower essentials, cleaning products and essential oils here again!

We have loved this shampoo bar soap for my kids Afro textured hair! Hair comes out mostutized even without conditioner.

The products here are all of superb quality. I especially appreciate how affordable everything is and the fact that everything comes in sustainable packaging. The anti-acne toner has been amazing at reducing break outs and redness for me, and leaving me with smooth and calm skin. I've also been using their eye serum, which has reduced puffiness and fine lines around my eyes. Overall, I feel dewy and radiant with their products, and I know I'm doing something good for my wallet & the planet as well! I've been recommending this place to all my friends, truly a special store.:)

I just started using your coconut & chia shampoo bars following w/an ACV rinse and my hair is looking great! It’s not as dry, very shiny but my scalp feels squeaky clean! I also don’t have an itchy scalp, neck or shoulders that I get from commercial products. Also, I’ve experienced less hair loss in the shower! Thanks so much for making such a great product affordable! I bought all of your other shampoo bars and can’t wait to try them all!

Love every product that I have purchased from Green and frugal! My number one favourite product is the deodorant cream. I’ve tried a lot of natural deodorants that didn’t work but this one does

Top notch customer service. They really take the time to make sure that you understand the ingredients in their products.

First time customer during COVID so I called in with some questions and got outstanding customer service helping me pick out products online as I had never been in store to see products before. All the recommendations were perfect and worked perfectly for my needs! I needed to pick up my order sooner than was scheduled and when I dropped by, it was kindly packed up on the spot. I also loved that everything came in paper, sustainable and can be used as cute wrap for Christmas gifts! Best small business experience I've had since moving to this neighbourhood! Will definitely recommend to family and friends, and will be purchasing again.

Been going to this shop for over a year and every product is amazing! They are well priced and the safe and owner are always so friendly! If you have any questions they can answer them for you and can let you know what products work best for which skin/hair types would give them 1000 stars if I could.

Kicking myself for not checking this place out sooner! I thought it would be much more expensive than it is. The products are very high quality, smell incredible, and are very economical. Right now I am using and loving the laundry soap (12 cents a load), body and linen spray, and body butter (I love the Vanilla Mint but bought fragrance free for my daughter who has eczema.laundry soap works great for her too!). Next up I want to try the body scrub and face oil.and I will be bringing a spray bottle to fill up with 12% cleaning vinegar (4 cents per 10mg!)

I have been looking around for a staple sustainable living store for a while now and Green and Frugal is the best spot hands down. The staff is wonderful, their products are amazing and their store isn't difficult to navigate. That is to say, sometimes sustainable shopping can be too complex, even overwhelming. But Green and Frugal offers a shopping experience that everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

Amazing service and products. The owner Tara was very welcoming, informative and helpful. The products were very affordable compared to similar stores located in downtown. Going sustainable can be a little intimidating for some people, as you are still learning, however, I had a great shopping experience!

I was told about this lovely store by my daughter. I picked up lip moisturizer, body butter and a little cloth bag for my metal straws.
Sales associate was helpful and pleasant to talk to.

Protective Cream - small jar, less than 6 dollars. This was the nicest shopping experience I have had in a while.
And the price tag at the end lived up to the name, totally frugal.
I have spent years looking for a protective cream from the sun, and had resigned myself to never finding one.
This one though!
It absorbs into the skin so I won't look like an on-duty life guard. And it is NOT oily.
I'm in love.

Last Sunday I decided to check out Green & Frugal and I'm so glad I did. The owner has done a great job hiring amazing staff that are helpful, knowledgeable and so friendly. Go visit this incredible store. You won't be disappointed!

Super cute and friendly! They make a lot of skin products which you can buy pre-packaged or refill a clean and dry container (bring your own or they have some you can buy). I brought a container that I thought was dry but still had some water in it and the clerk very kindly dried and sanitized it for me, I so appreciate it and really love the body butter I purchased. Lots of DIY ingredients as well, so I'm excited to visit again!

Love this spot. Discovered it recently and so happy I did! The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Love their Happy creme deodorant (the best) and all of the refillable soaps, oils etc. Can’t wait to go back and stock up. If you are looking to, or already live a more eco friendly lifestyle, add this shop to your list of go-tos!

Very nice shop. The products are beautiful and I'm happy with everything I bought, which includes a body bar, deodorant, lip balm, face oil, face cream, and body butter. Will definitely be back for reillfs. Oh, and the prices.so affordable!

Decided to stop by after following the store on Instagram for a few weeks. Going into the store more than exceeded my expectations! The prices are fantastic, the quality seems very good, and I definitely appreciated the non-judgmental atmosphere – especially with being a beginner in the area of zero waste. Tara was super informative, and I was very content with my purchases after having any questions I needed answered. Already looking forward to the products I'd like to buy in bulk/try out next!

Customer service was really great! I didn’t get a chance to get the name of the person working there, but she was very very helpful. She really took the time to explain everything and helped me fill my Castile soap while I filled my container of dry shampoo. Would definitely come again on the customer service alone.

I was here yesterday and can’t believe how welcoming and friendly Tara was! She told me all about the store itself, the products, and what they were trying to accomplish. The store is very homey and the products are amazingly priced. When I had questions, she was right there not only answering them, but explaining in detail why. There was no judgement whatsoever, and it was really nice to learn about what this store had to offer. She is very knowledgeable and her personality just naturally uplifts your mood. I highly recommend popping in and checking it out! 10/10

My sister and I absolutely love this place! They sell practically everything you need to live a single-use-plastic-free life, mostly focussing on the bathroom and kitchen (which let's face it, these produce lots of plastic and is probably only behind food related plastics). The staff are amazingly intelligent and knowledgeable about all the products and the variety is very respectable. If you can't find something that suits your needs, they can even give you suggestions and make a special concoction just for you for things like face wash, body butters, and shampoo! Small little store but they pack a lot in there. We easily spend an hour just browsing but after being there a few times, we know exactly what we like and what we need and can be in and out in under 15min. Bring your own clean containers to weigh and fill, buy reusable jars there, or buy it in their reusable packaging and bring it back next time to refill for a cheaper price! Honestly I cannot praise this place enough!

Convenient refill location for home and body products. Well researched. Carefully curated and stocked. My family uses the shampoo and body bars and deodorant. The gentle aroma of essential oils that are used as anti fungal etc are nice after years of unscented products due to sensitivities. I chose the Grapefruit/Lime deodorant and it is a really pleasant thing on wintery mornings. Tara helped me formulate a baby wipe solution. The ones I’d seen online gave baby a rash. My wipes go in the laundry, are very cost effective, and better for her skin. Tara has gone above and beyond for us, checking into the safety and efficacy of products on kids and babies. She is very well informed and debunk things you’ve seen online. Double check your recipes with her as you shop. They carry lots of kitchen and bathroom tools to keep waste down. Reusable food covers and the like. Please go. Reduce your plastic waste at home, bring your own container and label it there. Great gifting ideas. Buy a product for a friend and they can refill it there for years to come for pennies.

Great place for natural cleaning and bathroom stuff. They also sell safety razor stuff. Much of their stuff they refill the bottles they are purchased in with handy fill stations. They sell a great aftershave spray which works quite well.

I've visited green and frugal a few times and will continue to keep visiting. The owner is very educated and informed. The products she makes and sells are of high quality and reflect her values. I've tried almost all of the products she makes and I've loved all of them. It's great that she has a refill station so you can bring your own containers or buy from there. Also the prices are great, everytime I fill up from the refill station I'm amazed at how low the price is! I'm so glad to have found green and frugal!

This shop. This shopkeep. This powerforce of a woman. This store is a valuable resource for any and all natural health and beauty products be it her own water free PERSONAL ARTISANAL products that she clearly pours her whole being into, she paves the way for you to make your very own products yourselves at such an amazing price I do not know how she affords to live. I've honestly never seen anything like this and had no idea this paradise existed on this up and coming area. If you want to be part of a commercial boom support her and this area now. What a spirit. What drive. Finding this store will change your life. Make it something HUGE. You can tell she deserves it and is everything she is and is passion about. Whether a natural non-chemical beauty buff, want to replace items you'd normally throw out everyday with reuseables (necessary great lakes lovers and city dwellers.
