I have been a client of Markus Luckwaldt for over 20 years! He's been there for some of the most devastating times of my life while having to say goodbye to a pet and helped me to welcome a new one into our family. I can't begin to imagine this journey without him. Markus always takes the time to explain things thoroughly and lists all options for treatment. His staff is friendly, compassionate and incredibly helpful. How much do I trust my pets with Greenwood? So much that even after moving an hour away, I still bring all my pets to them for issues big and small.

Brought in our 14 year old cat for a check up and Dr. Camille Hildebrandt was fantastic. She explained everything clearly and simply and took her time with us. I highly recommend her and Greenwood Park!

We have been very happy with the excellent knowledge and care provided by the team at Greenwood Park for our two bunnies over the past years. It is hard to find vets who know bunnies, as they are considered exotics. We are very lucky to have found Greenwood Park and would highly recommend them!

After around 18 years old I had to put our family cat down
Very professional and caring Veterinarian.

I had to surrender my soulmate my cat Voldemort because he had kidney disease, cancer, and maybe diabetes possibly all three. He was in pain he had to be on 24-hour IV. He was a senior Cat 10 plus black domestic shorthaired. Miss you little guy. God Rest.

We've had ongoing good communication with staff, who provided gentle care of my dog and answered all my questions when she had her spay surgery. I like the app and ability to email them for quick questions or booking her care.

I've been taking both of my rabbits here for almost 10 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and they really help to make what are sometimes stressful situations a lot more pleasant.

We have been with Greenwood Park for years and years, and we could not say enough good things about the team there. My partner and his family had their pets at Greenwood for years before we met and now we still take our own pets there. It’s been crazy over a decade we have been taking pets there and there is no better vet to take care of your fur babies!

At first I gave these people high rating with my partner. My dog had the ear infection for over two and a half years. We saw the vet here who did multiple tests and issued us two kinds of medicine for our dog. We even had his ears cleaned and drops put in his ears.
After the medication was finished we called the vet to see if the dog should go back for follow up. The person on the phone said no. I do not feel comfortable with a response so I asked her again she continued to say no. No need.
In five days my dog's ears were smelling and he was scratching his ears again. So a new appointment was made. Here's where the trouble, started. The lady vet was rude and condescending she concluded we should just take the dog to a specialist. I have no problem doing this but why did she not tell me this before I spent over $500. To me this proved that there should have been a followup on my dog. Her attitude was rough so l asked to speak to the main doctor who stated that all dogs with ear infections get followup checks. The vet called me a liar and said l did not call.
At that point I called my partner who spoke to the vet and reinstated what l had said.
I do not get the person's name that I spoke to but they're only two staff to whom I could have spoken to. The vet never fold up on this even though he said he would. At this point things went from bad to worse. I no longer felt comfortable and told him I was seek medical attention with another vet. In conclusion this vet and his staff were rude and inconsiderate. The vet went from a dr. Jekyll to a Mr. Hyde.
With this kind of attitude I don't know how this vet stayed in business for so long. I will never return to this vet. He caused a lot of unnecessary pain for my dog. I welcome people to ask me further details about my experience. I hope all people looking at this write-up never have to go through what I did with my dog. Anybody can contact me for more details. The best - as always! Everyone is always so friendly and kind, I know both my cats are very loved there, and in good hands. I trust the advice given and I know they have my pet's health and wellbeing at the top of their minds. Major shout out to Dr. DiDonato who is so kind, gentle, loving and extremely knowledgeable. I trust her so much and thank her for everything she has done. Also to Kenna and Christine, they are always so kind and attentive to me if I call or come in, and know me so well. I choose Greenwood Park because I feel like the vets and vet techs truly care about the nuances of the animals they care for. I know, from experience, that they tackle the challenges and complex requirements of exotic animals. So I can trust that they will provide exceptional care for my cats.

The Dr was very kind, very thorough in explaining everything. My dog feels very good after the visit. He's going to be my new vet.

The team at Greenwood Park Animal Hospital has been so helpful and accommodating to us with our two new kittens. They have been available on short notice and very compassionate. Dr. Di Donato has been so helpful.

Most amazing people I took my lizard there and they were so kind to me and the state I was in I had to let my little guy go after 10 years but they made me feel he was safe and in good hand I will definitely be back with my girl if she ever needs a vet highly recommend this place

I cannot say enough about this vet. From the admin staff (shoutout to Kenna- she is amazing!), to the caring vet techs (Chris literally comforted me when my dog had cancer), to the vets themselves (Dr. Luckwaldt is beyond talented), everyone here truly cares for your pets.

My doberman was a handful with some behavioural issues, food allergies, and liver disease. They had no problem helping him (I think they were some of his best friends!). My little one had multiple surgeries due to cancerous masses. He never once had complications or issues. Everyone treated both dogs with love and the utmost care.

I highly recommend this clinic and I thank you all so, so much for helping both my dogs and myself through some tough times. Truly appreciated! <3

We love the team here, they take such good care of our pup. Since day 1 the team is always so diligent in answering questions for worried pet parents and making sure our dog has a quick and enjoyable (as much as possible at the vet) experience.

The occasional frostiness from people on the front desk May deter some folks from returning, but the quality of care here is wonderful. We are a family of pet owners, mostly dogs, and have been coming to Greenwood Park since Dr Sam Munn built and opened it years ago. (We had followed Dr Sam well over a decade through several locations, convinced there was no better veterinarian on the planet.)
I am going to assume that Dr Munn handed the hospital over to a kindred spirit in Dr Marcus, who is not only compassionate, outgoing and extremely practical, he is utterly lovely to talk to, especially when you're agonizing over your pet's health.
I cannot recommend Green Park highly enough: I feel lucky to have had my lovely dogs in their care.

Kind and responsive staff. A very caring staff actually. I appreciate that they have an excellent avian veterinarian in Dr. Luckwaldt. He cared with compassion for my bird, is a world of knowledge on bird health and care, and was very proactive in discussing solutions to address my bird's liver issues. I took my hamster here to have her nails trimmed. Everyone is friendly, respectful and kind. Dr. DiDonato met with me to give me an update. Tara and Dr. DiDonato presented me with ideas to keep my hamster's nails worn down in her enclosure, which I appreciate!

A mini update: I called to schedule an appt to have her nails trimmed, and the receptionist was exceedingly rude with me. I WILL NOT RETURN, AND THE PRICE FOR NAIL TRIMMING HAS RISEN GREATLY IN 3 MONTHS. Shame!

Super helpful and pretty friendly service. Have been purchasing specialty dog food from them for a few years. Never used their veterinary services though.

IF YOU HAVE A RABBIT COME HERE! They are rabbit save vets and extremely kind and professional.today I brought my bunny in and was absolutely terrified I was never going to see him again, but, they handled him and myself as the pet mom so well.they gave me updates and always answer their phone.they also provide complimentary nail trimmings with each visit.the secretary is extremely intelligent and kind, great service, great doctors 10/10 would recommend

Doctor is humble, professional. Customer care lady was too rude, too unprofessional! MANAGEMENT NEED to change the receptionist lady, at the earliest to change the image.

I have been taking my dog here for the last 8 years and the practise has been nothing but wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend Greenwood Park Animal Hospital! Everyone we have dealt with has been professional and knowledgeable, and when we recently had to put our dog down, they treated us and our pet with kindness and respect. They made a very difficult day a little bit easier.

Update: The animal I took into Greenwood Park that was critically ill and they turned down treatment, died, and I blame them to a degree for turning down an emergency with no remorse or empathy. I had been going there for several years and they could not muster the humanity to fit him in for an emergency forcing a delay in treatment that could have saved my animals life. Going to Greenwood Park Animal hospital us my greatest regret. They do the bare minimum, never follow through on promises they make and turn down dying animals on the spot without a care. If you love your animal find someone who has a passion for this work because there is no one at Greenwood Park that does or cares. Like I said we went there for years, paid our bills on the spot and we were told by Dr. Markus he see emergencies. It was all nonsense and lies.

I first went to Greenwood Park Animal Hospital when I moved downtown. Dr. Marcus seemed knowledgeable and likeable. But I noticed as time went on they never followed through on things they agreed to follow up on. There is one receptionist who is downright intolerable who would say things like "what are you talking about? " when you called to follow up on why they haven't contacted you regarding the issue they promised to deal with, instead of doing the Professional thing and oh I don't know look at the chart or talk to the doctor.

I finally had enough and saw their true colours this week. I had an animal I thought might be critically ill, I took him in as an emergency. I have 4 animals that each see the vet every 6 months regardless, the only reason they haven't been on that schedule was the vet refused those appointments over the pandemic. Something I found again, unprofessional. It is costly but worth it as a preventative measure.

I go in today with the critically ill animal and they tell me "sorry you don't have an appointment, you are out of luck", I repeated I thought he was dying, she shrugged her shoulders like oh well. I was beyond disgusted and seriously almost got physical, but chose a colourful description of what I felt about them. Do not trust any animal you love with these people, they don't care. It matters not if you spent thousands or are a first time patient, they don't care. She seemed more worried if I was still out front on the sidewalk as she found the time to keep looking out the window to see if I was still there while phoning my old vet who by the way said "We are fully booked but since it is an emergency we will figure it out, give us a minute, and within 2 minutes I was booked for an emergency appointment. Those vets care, they are Amherst Animal Hospital at Eglinton Ave just east of Markham road, 3206 eg.east. She is young and well versed in Reptile medicine. Do not Trust any animal you love with the lousy care Greenwood Park Animal Hospital provides, it is a waste of money, they don't follow through on promises and turned down a dying animal with "oh well" shrug to a regular customer of years.

We have been taken our cat to this office since we got her about 8 months ago. We love the staff here, they are incredibly kind and care about what they do. They love our fuzzy friend as much as we do and have always provided with quality care. Their vets have been realistic with us about what our pet needs and what that means for us. We have never felt pressured to do anything they didnt feel was absolutely necessary or thoroughly explained why it is best to take a specific course of action.

You can bet this is the best vet in this area and we will continue to bring our animals here for the foreseeable future.

I was so impressed with how the entire team handled my panic over my dog. I called at 8am and they saw him within a couple hours. Thank you everyone for being patient and caring with an anxious pet mom and a sick dog.

We took our 4.5yr old ferret in for a deslorelin implant. Being from Northern Ontario we don't have vets willing to do the procedure. Greenwood staff were quick to get us in and fixed her up in a hurry. Wonderful place, wish they were closer. Highly recomend!

I have used Dr Luckwaldt for over 15 years for my exotic and avian pets. His prices are always reasonable, he is very knowledgable and he is always open and honest. You can tell he truly loves not only his job but the animals aswell. Thank you.

This hospital has some of kindest people working/operating it. I unfortunately had to bring my dog here for her final breaths and Sabrina and Chris were beyond kind, empathetic and professional. Making my girls last few moments in this world bearable. I'd like to thank Dr. Sabrina DiDonato and Chris for everything they did to help me and my family during this incredibly difficult time. You two are complete stars and we will never forget the treatment we received from your team.

This clinic came to our assistance when shipping a sweet bunny to Ireland. Kenna and Dr DiDonato went above and beyond, taking the time to complete the paperwork so we would have no issues at customs.
Their care, professionalism and attention to detail made all the difference.
I'm happy to report that Buddy the bunny is happy back with his dad, in his new home on the green green grass near Dublin.

This Animal Hospital is so reliable. We reached out to them at the beginning of Covid, and we were able to have, so fare, 3 appointments for them to see our dog. Today was the annual check up and vaccinations! To Dr. Sabrina and all staff, many thanks for all you do for our pets. You guys are so caring and we appreciate that so very much!

They were great to deal with and very caring when our rabbit was ill and passed away. I got a beautiful card from them and with a very thoughtful, personal message about our pet. I will definitely use this clinic in future.

Dr Luckwaldt is the BESTEST VET! He is sincere, honest, and just a great human being! My Murphy, (dog), love's him! He knows when he leaves there, that he will feel so much better than when he got there. Just a great environment and awesome staff! I give a 10 outta 10 for everything!

I can not sing high enough praise for this clinic. They take care of my two rats and each time I have come to them they try to provide the most service for as small a cost as possible, and they always make my babies feel better. If you have pet rats GO HERE! You will always get the best care availible.

This is a great vet clinic, especially for exotic species. They are good with the animals and also call to check up on them after their visit. If you have a pet bunny and are looking for a good vet, this is the place to go!

Quick service. Dr. Markus Luckwaldt helped out our little Red Eared Slider promptly. I am so happy to have found a fantastic vet within 5km of my house without paying an outrageous amount of money.

The staff here are very caring of the pets and owners alike. Saturdays are very busy but that is because the Doctors there take the time to give you as much information as you need to make the right decision for your owt. Very clean space and welcoming. But their waiting room chairs are murder on your back ha ha.

Be prepared to wait and to look for parking as there is only street parking there.

Only place that specializes in small exotic mammals ina large area!

Dr. Luckwaldt is awesome, brought my English budgie because his ID band got caught on his foot that swelled like a marble. He didnt traumatize my bird through the painful experience for him. Thank you Dr. Luckwaldt!

We love dr luckwa and has been seeing him for years. I travel from an hour away and had to wait 3h and was charged for a physical when we booked for a nail and wing and beak clipping. Not worth the travel and wait and money. Sorry

Had a problem with one of my ratties who started bleeding unexpectedly. Was able to get in the same day and the vet and staff were exceptionally kind and compassionate. My little one ended up having to go under anesthesia to figure out what was wrong and the staff were very upfront with my options and the cost. There was no pressure and they were able to find the bleeding and stop it, explaining everything after so I know exactly what had happened.
I'm new to vets (first pets) so I'm not sure about the price but the service was exceptional and I've already recommended them to other rat parents.

I've brought my cats and rats here and they've treated all so kindly and compassionately. They helped me through making the tough decision to have my very old and sick rats euthanized and were so helpful and kind during the processes. One of their vet receptionists even does pet sitting which made my vacation so much less stressful knowing my cats were in great hands. All around a fantastic vet clinic!

I bring both my dog and cat here and both of my fur children are a little bit.dramatic. The staff are super accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure your pets have a good experience, even with the more difficult cases (my dog is reactive towards people and other dogs and my car is just mean sometimes). Could not recommend enough.

Had my first visit last week and it was a referral from my regular vet. I had met with Dr Markus Luckwaldt and the impression is that he is a very warm, very knowledgeable and very practical doctor. When I was waiting to see the doctor, met with a fur parent whose baby mouse was going into surgery later and she spoke highly of the doctor and praised his experience and practicality. I would definitely recommend Dr. Markus to fellow fur parents.

The team here is compassionate and understanding of all the life factors that go into deciding for the type of care to provide to our fur babies. Our dogs have been coming here for years and have always had a positive experience, especially in palliative and end of life planning. Thank you.

I'm so thankful for the staff at Greenwood and Dr. Luckwaldt for going beyond for my little rat, Bean. My rat suddenly became sick in the span of less than 48 hours and they were more than accommodating. When I brought him in, the staff was attentive and I felt that they put in as much effort as they could to get him better. I felt that they genuinely care about the welfare of all animals no matter how small. Thanks to their efforts, we thankfully got him on the right path to recovery. I really think this is one of the best, if not the best small pets veterinary hospital in the city. The prices are also reasonable. I would definitely bring any small pets here.

If you have a small animal this is the best place for care, it's the specialty. Very caring staff and doctors who are understanding and knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about this place.

This spot was recommended for my 6 month old bunny who was ill by Crystal Pet Care (they recommended high park and one other as well but had this one at the top). They were able to take my bunny in Monday morning after calling the Friday evening. Friendly staff and environment. Marcus was great taking the time with me and giving me extra meds free of charge. I learned a lot as a first time bunny owner and my bunny who I thought we might lose is healthy again! I even missed my appointment through miscommunication and there was no flack, no extra charge, just wanted to get my little guy back in for his care! I bought a small bag of hay that is cheaper or matches the sale price of PetValu. Noticed many customers popping in to buy food for their various pets.

It was a bit expensive being in the city however I would guess their prices match or beat the local competition. Who cares about prices when your pet needs the best care.

Yes, they're a bit pricey if you're below the poverty line like myself but they have always been kind and understanding of my situation and always kind and caring with my pet rats whenever i was there.my second girl just passed away recently and they gave me so much time in the room with her and were just very very kind.they let me pay in the room with my pet and leave through the side door, so i didnt have to sadly walk out the front with no animal.which helped me a lot.one of the best vets i've ever been to.would likely go back when and if I have a pet again.

Dr. Luckwaldt and the professional and caring technicians saved my guinea pig, Lilac, three times in 2018. This is the greatest animal hospital in the world. Lilac is happy and healthy now thanks to your wonderful establishment. We will be returning later in 2019 for Lilac's check-up. Thank you for saving small rodents and every type of animal. Lilac, my family and I are eternally grateful.

Suggest going elsewhere if you have a dwarf hamster. My hamster was treated poorly during the visit, and was roughly held by an assistant with a towel while the vet dislodged some seeds from her cheek pouch. I suspect due to stress from this visit, my hamster unfortunately passed away a week later. The clinic called and asked for an update, and when I told them that she had unfortunately passed away they didn't seem to care. I was charged 135 dollars for antibiotics that did nothing for her.
