Greg & Son's was recommended to us for our recent move. We have moved before in the past and until now we always moved ourselves. Mike, Keith & Ivan took such care with our items, and were friendly and pleasant. They took their time & care when disassembling and reassembling our larger furniture, and our bed large cali king was no match for them. Thank you for everything! They came quickly and gave us a guaranteed flat rate price for the move and that is exactly what we were charged. They showed up in time the day of our move and were very professional, efficient and friendly, They wrapped fragile items and some furniture and were very careful loading and unloading. Not one item was damaged. We were extremely pleased with this moving company and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

These guys were amazing! The entire team from Greg and Sons Movers & Storage were professional, friendly and so efficient. From the administrative end- Perry, Geri and Maureen took care of everything so that the day would run smooth. Our movers were Mike, Shane, Keith and Davlin. They are a great group of guys who actually enjoy their job! They took extra care with every single piece of our furniture-big and small. They were also very careful not to scratch our floors. SUMMARY: Greg & Sons was excellent at handling our move from Toronto to south shore Nova Scotia. It's a family run business, and they provide excellent care and attention. Greg & Sons handled the initial loading and the move to storage; Allied movers was handling the transport and unload. This was a large move from a four-level 5-bedroom home and nearby storage locker. Our experience with Greg & Sons and their partner Allied was perfect. In the stress of packing, selling, moving, and all the details that come with that, the dealings with Greg & Sons was stress free, and definitely welcome. I will not hesitate in using Greg & Sons again, and I highly recommend their services. THE QUOTE: When we were getting quotes, Perry (Greg's son) was was excellent and forthright in preparing the quote, with detailed explanation. G&S was not the cheapest quote — but they were the clearest, the most detailed and had to date provided us the best overall customer service. We chose them. CLIENT MANAGEMENT: Once we selected Greg & Sons to move us, Gerri picked up client management and was amazing; she kept us updated on various aspects of the steps, and provided insight and advice that made the planning, transaction and move easier. This process continued over four months as our goods were picked up in January and stored in Toronto until our new house in NS was purchased and our goods delivered in late April. THE PICK-UP: When the team showed up to load the move (one lot from our house; a second lot from a 10x10 nearby storage locker that we culled from the house real estate showing) it was a cold day and a snow storm starting. Perhaps not usual, maybe because of the weather, or maybe multiple crews elsewhere, etc — I was surprised to see Perry show up, with his dad, Greg. 'The Greg' of & Sons, and Greg's brother (who ran the box numbering list), and another great fellow whose name has slipped my memory. The guys at the top of the company were hauling boxes and doing the heavy work. The load went well, fast and without problems. We loaded from our house, then went to a nearby storage locker 10x10, full to the ceiling and walls and loaded that. 14,980 pounds of stuff. It was a big move. STORAGE: We stored our goods in Toronto as we had not yet purchased a new property in Nova Scotia. Our goods were picked up at our house the last week of January and they were in storage in Toronto until we purchased a house in April. DELIVERY: The long haul from Ontario to NS was handled by Allied. One driver and one assistant unloaded the entire move. Mike, the Allied driver, and his assistant were amazing. Boxes and furniture were placed into their respective rooms over three floors and in an outside workshop. With a crew of two, the unload took about six hours, which I thought was very reasonable; well-deserved breaks were reasonable and the process of sorting and placing added a bit of time. They were very protective of our floors and house and the goods being moved. Very pleasant, hard working and professional. If our experience is the Allied standard, it's a great service. (That's 'The Greg' driving the truck.)

I used these movers last month to move my 3 story townhouse into our new home, and I can honestly say that I was very impressed! They were quick, efficient, friendly, and professional. Nothing was damaged, and everything was done very quickly. I was struggling to pack things into boxes because they were so quick. Parry came in for a consult before the move, and put our minds at ease. They are not the cheapest out there, but If you want professional, efficient, and careful movers they are they way to go. I have heard so many horror stories about moving companies but I am so glad I did not experienced that. I will definitely recommend Greg & Sons to everyone moving!

I hired these movers to move my over crowded condo and they did an excellent job!
They were well organized with loading my furniture and transporting it safely to my new place and once there they unloaded and had me direct them piece by piece as to where I wanted things to go and they obliged patiently and happily. They started at 10am and were done by 7pm. When they left I felt good because most of my things were exactly where I wanted them to be and I could relax.

Greg & Sons came highly recommended by a close family friend. I had attempted to "shop around" to understand my options, but even from the initial touchpoint, all other moving companies paled in comparison to Greg & Sons. In fact, some moving companies never returned my calls or emails. Not Greg & Sons though, who were incredibly responsive.

My experience started with Maureen at the office, who is so caring. She sent Perry to my home to develop a quote. He was beyond knowledgable, and made sure I understood fully the services we were purchasing. The move was completed by Greg himself, as well as Pat and Chris, all 3 ensuring a seamless, stress-free experience. Not only were they on-time, both at our start point in Toronto, and destination in Ottawa, but they were fast, and efficient, always operating with exceptional attention to detail and care for our belongings.

I hired Greg and Sons to move me out of my cottage in April and store my stuff for about four months until my new house is ready. A few days before the moving date, a huge late-winter storm pelted the cottage with freezing rain and dropped several inches of snow on the ground, leaving my very steep driveway almost inaccessible. Greg and Sons couldn't get their moving van up the driveway and we were unable to put into place anything that would make the driveway sufficiently accessible. So, without a word of complaint, Greg and Sons starting loading everything into their van, then drove the van down the drive and reloaded everything into their moving van, which they left parked at the base of the hill. They must have done this 10 or 12 times, meaning that the move took much more work and much more time than originally expected. Not only did Greg (and his son as well as another helper) not voice a word of complaint, they were cheerful and pleasant all through the long day. Best of all, they didn't charge me a penny above the original quote. Greg and Sons handled all my possessions with care, did a thorough inventory, took their time wrapping my artwork to ensure it was well protected, and did everything one could ask of a professional mover - all at a far move reasonable price than the other mover's estimate. I have nothing but good things to say about Greg and Sons. I would recommend them without hesitation and will definitely use them if I ever move again.

This company exceeded my expectations. Starting with Maureen at the other end of the line it was an experience that made a difficult move very pleasant. The movers were not only efficient at moving but were lovely people and treated every belonging of mine with absolute care and Precision The attention to detail and the gentleness with which they moved me was exceptional.
