Grotto Getaway

We stayed in the north cabin and the doors of your cabin DON'T LOCK! We had to unpack and re pack every morning and throw our belongings in the car while we drove to our day trips to Tobermory. It's unacceptable to me. In the cabin was clean and the staff are very detailed which is nice.

Its a perfect place to live when you are visiting Tobermory. This was our best decision; rather than going with a motel or camping idea. The glamping in RV gave us a feeling of a luxury camping. All thanks to Don. He made sure we were all ok and doing perfect. The toilets at the ground are clean all the time. You can lend board games, badminton, dryer and lot of things at the camp store. The location is quite and clean.
The springdale RV was THE BEST for our group. It had all the facilities.
No doubt - coming here for the next summer!

We stayed in one of the Glamping Tent experiences. The tent was clean, spacious and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The site had a separate fire pit area with Adirondack chairs. Love how the solar string lights lit up and connected both areas of the site. The staff were really nice and helpful, and it was nice that you were able to order firewood and have it brought to your site! Location was perfect. 20-25 min from everything in the Bruce Peninsula… Tobermory, Lions Head, etc. A great trip. Thank you.

The Dreamer tent and Grotto Getaway experience was an absolute dream. I want to extend a huge thank you to Alex and especially Bruce for any tips, suggestions and help on site. I would recommend this to any family, couple or even solo traveller who is planning to go to the Bruce Pennisula National Park (short drive away). I love the “glamping” idea for those who haven’t camped before, I will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful time glamping in the Dreamer yurt. I've never really been a fan of camping, and this really changed my mind. Clean bathrooms, big site, quiet!

The low light pollution with the new moon provided us with amazing views of the Perseid meteor shower and the Milky Way.

There were a few people there that didn't seem to respect the rules all that much, but fortunately none of that ruined the trip. Tobermory and the Grotto are very close!

Very thankful for the experience, and can't wait to go back!

We stayed in the yurt for two days this past weekend. The management on site was great. Special thanks to Don and a huge shoutout to Alex, he made our stay fantastic. Service is 5 out of 5. The tent and firepit were 5 out of 5. The washrooms/showers were very clean. Nothing bad to say about this establishment.

My 4 yr old son and I just got back from a weekend stay in Gus the Bus. We had a wonderful time. The campground is quiet and well kept and the staff were lovely (special shoutout to Alex). Gus the Bus has everything you need, even a fridge. You really could just show up with food, clothes and toothbrush and you would be all set. The couch converts to a comfy bed with a lovely view of the pond. We will definitely be back!

Staff and the owner were wonderful and there hospitality was great.

It was a nice little campground

We rented two of the glamping units which were nice and they were clean, however it poured rain last night and both of our units leaked all night long and soaked our bed and our blankets, for 600$ for two nights each unit I expect a dry sleep, when brought to there attention in the morning I was told thank and to take care, no compensation was offered.

Attempted to shower 3 times over the weekend and ended up having ice cold showers with no hot water at all.

The park is well kept, but some maintenance is necessary

I love family run places like this! I really appreciate the warm welcome with the personal tour of the campground and how clean and tidy the room was:) I had a very lovely time and was so sad to leave!

We stayed one night in the Palm glamping tent, and we will definitely be back! This was the cleanest camping resort we’ve ever stayed at, and the attention to details in the glamping tent was a pleasant surprise!

The owners even treated guests to complimentary s’mores in the evening, which was a cute touch! Highly recommend!

We spent two nights in one of the yurts. The yurt was very clean and very cute. There were amenities available. The firewood was a nice touch. Washrooms were very clean and maintained throughout the day. Camp rules kept the campground quiet throughout the evening and night. The drive to the Grotto/Tobermory Harbour/Halfway Log Dump was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and communicated all information very thoroughly. We would recommend this stay and would like to visit again in the future!

A wonderful time! My wife and I stumbled across Grotto Getaway on Tic-toc and decided on a last-minute getaway vacation. This was our first-time "glamping" and we really enjoyed the experience. Don and Pauline have a terrific setup.
The large tents are very well decorated for a theme (we had the "Bo-Ho" experience), the furniture is new, spot-less, well appointed and comfortable.
All the campsite staff are very friendly and helpful ensuring we had all we needed and were properly settled in.
The washrooms/showers were spotless and the general campgrounds were well taken care of and easy to get around.

Great camping park with very nice glamping tents and RV trailers available to rent.
We rented a trailer which was very clean and maintained better than some hotels I've stayed at.
Park was nice a quiet and friendly.

We will definitely consider coming back again.

Don and Pauline were so great to us! The boho tent was so beautiful and the campground and facilities were very well kept and clean! Will definitely be returning!

Stayed at one of the glamping cabins and had a GREAT time! Washrooms were extremely CLEAN and serviced every day, owners were very friendly, and we had a lovely experience. Our cabin area had comfortable queen bed & pillows, warm blankets, shower towels, shampoo / conditioner, a firepit, and two Muskoka chairs. Lots of outdoor games (lawn bowling, croquet) and board games also available for borrow too. Only a 25 min drive to Tobermory and grocery stores are nearby. Gotta stay here! Can’t wait to book here again. Thank you Don & Pauline!
