Had my umbilical hernia surgery done at groves, dr. Thomas and nursing staff were very skilled, helpful, and made me feel comfortable. Pleased with results as well:)
I have been at the hospital twice now for diagnostic imaging and I have to tell you that the people that work in that particular field are so sweet. I am an overweight woman and they helped this old girl get up on the bed lift my legs up, and we’re very kind to me the whole time.everyone that I have encountered were nice and professional and I must say I enjoyed being there. You have a very nice hospital
Courteous, professional, and compassionate staff. Helped us through a tough labour and delivery. Thank you all so much. We both felt very well taken care of.
I can't Praise Dr. Thomas and here team enough, they are extremely good at what they do, l consider myself lucky to have been treated by this team, thank you for what you do, with kind love, Steve
I do not remember the name of the female Dr I saw in Emerge last Wednesday.she was amazing. She took the time to make sure I understood what was going on. She made me feel heard and validated for the first time in a year. Thank you
I had to bring my daughter here tonight. She really hurt her knee playing soccer. The nurses were wonderful with her and I. We were booked in fast and down for x-rays in under 20 mins. After x-rays, we probably waited about 2 hours to get to the back. They had no rooms available, but they put us in the hall with a stretcher where my daughter could lay down. They were trying to make her comfortable with limited space. She felt more comfortable in the wheelchair. Every nurse who walked by asked her if she would be more comfortable in the bed and that they would help her in, very kind nurses. In total we spent about 4.5 hours here. Yes, it was pretty deserted, but for x-rays and triage and to see the doctor, i think that's the shortest time ever at a hospital and very reasonable. The female doctor was just wonderful and caring to my daughter. She sent a referral for an MRI and listened to my daughter and explained to us what she thought was going on. I have to say we had a wonderful experience here. I expect long wait times at hospitals as it's for emergencies. I was shocked it was that short. Thank you, ladies, for taking care of my daughter with care.
No one in the waiting room when we got there, we were treated like we should have gone litterally anywhere else. This is the second time I've gone there for an emergency that was causing debilitating pain and been asked why I didn't go elsewhere. Doctor said I don't need an x-ray because it wouldn't show anything, but then proceeded to tell me to go to an actual x ray place in guelph rather than emerge to get an xray. Keeping in mind, I have a requesition for an xray from my family doctor (who has seen my ultrasound). When I expressed this to the doctor on staff, he just said he didnt have access to my ultrasound results and had decided in his 5 minute evaluation of the outside of my arm, that I did not need an x-ray. Needless to say, i went home in just as much pain as I went in with, and I still don't know what's causing it. Save your time and energy and do what they suggested.go somewhere else.
Been here for 6 hours to have my knee looked at. X-rays and triage was quick. When i finally stood up and complained and asked what was going on I was moved down a hallway over from emergency to be told to sit here. Nobody asking how I was or if I was okay? I’m told there is no space right now and all rooms are full. Wasn’t this hospital just upgraded? Doesn’t help the nurses just stand at their counter and chat. Cause I can hear all there conversations. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU CAN!
Hi, February 24 12am arrived. And now it’s 4: 30 and still waiting to see doctor. And it’s not that there are too many people I was the last patient at 12 am and there are no other new patients for the last 4.5 hours. The halls are empty there is not a lot of patients in er. But we are still waiting and don’t even know when the doctor will see my 2 year old son. The wait is like a full 8hrs shift. Before the doctor even see you.
Awful experience the people were stealing from me, generally not very nice and have now trying to send me elsewhere not necessary i thought a hospital was supposed to help you not pass you along to other hospitals absolutely ridiculous
It is absolutely ridiculous that an emergency department has 1 doctor who basically has seen 3 patients in the last 3 hours. There is more standing around here and conversing than actual work taking place. The Canadian healthcare system is in ruins. I've been here so long that Justin Trudeau's privatization of the healthcare system seems more appealing to me.
