I love how GAH offers both traditional and alternative medicine such as acupuncture, chiropractic and homeopathic medicine.

This has been my best veterinary experience so far. My dog, Beignet, is super fearful which makes vet visits a real challenge. The team at Guelph Animal Hospital is so patient with us, respectful of my dog's needs, and works with me to come up with solutions to help manage her stress during routine appointments and diagnostic procedures such as blood work. As we navigate a potential long-term health concern, I am glad to have this vet clinic, the front desk staff, the vet techs, and the veterinarians on my side. When I call looking for help with a medical concern, the team takes their time to ask questions, get all the information, and come back with recommended next steps. I seriously recommend this team to anyone and everyone.

I had to make the impossible decision to put my beloved, 20 year old cat, Pedro, down, and every single staff member was so compassionate and kind. They made the process as easy as possible and allowed me to spend as much time as I needed with my boy. They went above and beyond in every way possible and I will never forget their kindness towards me, but also the love they showed Pedro before he passed.

We have been using the Vet services at Guelph Animal Hospital for over 10 years
and have always been more than pleased with them. My dog Tucker recently has had a very sore tummy and we are confident that the medication will help heal the inflammation. They are very good at follow up after visits. Highly recommend their services whether you have a cat or dog.

The wonderful people at Guelph Animal Hospital have always been kind, gentle, and professional when caring for my dear cat. The assistants and vets have always been so good at calming my cat down, which is quite a task because he is frightened when he is away from home.

They rightly diagnosed some ulcers in his mouth and gave him good medication (temporarily), as well as a new type of cat food. He is now ulcer free!

Very pleased with Dr. Smolkin. She seemed very well versed and took the time to explain everything to me. Also very impressed with the way she was able to handle my cat who us normally very hard to handle.

Extremely disappointed with this animal hospital. I took my sick kitten to this clinic about two weeks ago, I asked about expenses before I go because I knew that my kitten will definitely have test and I wanted to know how much does it cost and then decide to go, they assured me that the cost wouldn't be too high, Then I went and they charged me too much that my husband and I surprised!
The doctor was extremely unprofessional and she showed no concern for my kitten's illness and didn't provide proper medication! The front desk staff was so unfriendly and when we express our concern about the cost, they were unfriendly and unprofessional and they behaved so impolite! That was my worst experience which I had.

This place saved my dog’s life. I was a client of another south end vet in town with good reviews. They had said my dog had pancreatic cancer most likely or possibly pancreatitis. She had lost so much weight, panting and weak and they kept selling me vitamins, enzymes, foods etc. I asked if she possibly had ple based on blood work. They said no. My dog was wasting away
I was almost going to euthanize her. I put her story on Guelph Facebook group when Dr Fleming from Guelph animal hospital reached out. After a bit more testing it was determined my baby had ple. With initial medications and a change in diet my baby has a new lease on life. Gained her weight back and plays and runs etc.the front office staff is GREAT as well!

Fantastic vet clinic, everyone from reception, vet techs to the Drs have all been amazing! If you own an English Bulldog there’s not a better place to go!

4 dogs and 5 years later and they are still the best vet in town. The front end staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They stick to your appointment time so you are not left waiting long. The techs and vets are extremely knowledgeable, we always feel confident our boys are in great hands! They also offer a Healthy Dog Plan which is more cost effective and also helps to remind you not to forget a vaccine. Overall they are fantastic!

We have used the Guelph Animal Hospital for years and we were thrilled to renew the relationship with our new puppy!

GAH has always treated our pets with meticulous care and bounteous affection. No wonder my dog loves going for his check ups!

We drive an hour.each way to come to GAH, we are always greeted by wonderful staff at the front. The care that everyone provides to your pet is well worth the drive.

Been going to Guelph Animal Hospital for years and they've been incredible every time. They were so great when my cat passed away and they're always friendly and helpful with my current pets.

Have been beyond pleased with the service and care we have received for our 2.5 year old bulldog Bruce.

From routine clinic visits, to emergency care when he's gotten into chocolate to any of his surgical needs.

We also had the unfortunate experience of needing to put down our 19 year old cat in the fall and the care and concern during those difficult days was amazing.

Wouldn't recommend any other place.

Extremely disappointed with this clinic. This was our long time vet for our animals. The lack of care and compassion, not to mention the lack of facetime with the doctors is extremely unprofessional and strange. The staff at the front desk seem to deal with the brunt of the problems unfortunately and are doing their best with the little support they have I suspect…

Everytime I brought my dog into this clinic it would cost well over $1,000 not to mention getting an appointment in a reasonable time for an issue is a problem!

Luckily! There are other vets in town who are willing to take on your pets issues in a reasonable timeframe and at an affordable Cost.

We have 2 dogs that come here and our one is a bit of a lemon, so we visit very frequently! The staff are all very friendly and do an amazing job, they always make sure our dogs are welcomed and they get lots of pets from everyone!
We do like to try and stick with on dr. Specific to our dogs as we find it easier that way, but every dr. We have seen have been amazing! Dr. Smolkin is just spectacular at her job, a great person! We had our other dog there the other day over a reaction & it was very last minute as it was early in the morning, the team made sure when we got there he would be seen asap! The dr. We did see was very friendly & took him in right away to help us!
Highly recommend this vet clinic as they take alot of pride in there work ethic, they always listen to any concerns & you always feel welcome!
