Guildwood Medical Centre - Family Practice & Walk in clinic

Im happy to have Dr Syeda as our family doctor she is professional and knowledgeable she listens to her patients and make sure to give them the treatments they need, the reception girl is also really good she always picks up the phone or call back immediately thank you guys for doing your job perfectly!

My experience with Dr. Bala has been great, she is very thorough and non-judgemental. She offers care that is very patient-centered.

Unfortunately, I would say the front desk/reception needs A LOT of work. Whenever I try to contact the clinic, it is always going to voicemail which is fine as I understand that the clinic can be busy. But the voicemail is very confusing. It is always the same voicemail introduction saying that the the clinic is off for today (unclear as to what date is "today") and that they are closed for Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the voicemail intro does not include Dr. Bala's working hours and I was told before that she does not work every day. Also, it would make sense to include the number of business days for returning calls but it doesn't. My husband and I have called the clinic for different issues a week ago and both of us still haven't heard back. It is quite unprofessional and irresponsible to not even get a call back within the week no matter what the medical issue is. We do not expect an appointment right away or even a call right away but not getting a return call at all for the entire week is frustrating and can result in delaying medical care. This is unfortunately not the first time we have had to deal with this.

I’m Dr. Bala’s patient, she’s wonderful and the best. She makes you feel comfortable and gives the right advice and suggestions. Totally non-judgmental. Totally satisfied and full filled.

The most rude lady sitting at the clinic. She has no manners. She has same mentality which she has when she was in India. Their customer dealing is so bad. They are racist with their own community people.

We have Dr. Syeda as our family doctor and we couldn't have had a better doctor for sure. She is kind and patient. She has helped us with thoughtful advise, prescription, guidance and referral as necessary.
The receptionist here is also polite, which makes the overall experience really comforting.

Called ahead and visited 3 days in a row to try and get seen by a doctor. Every time I was told "oh we're already done for the day". What's the point of being a walk-in if I can't see a doctor when I walk in.

Worst receptionist so rude telling a 1 year old kid to shut up and is not helpful at all and doesn’t answer the phone

Very good patient experiences at the clinic. Dr Bala is amazing. Her assistant is very accommodating. Thankfully we found an awesome Doctor who is our family physician now.

Very good and clean medical center. Receptionist doctor pharmacist everyone is so polite and accommodating.would highly recommend the clinic. The pharmacist Naeem is very polite and ready to help (will keep medications ready) before we are at the pharmacy. Tries to arrange for medications is something is out of stock, keeps customers updates with all live updates via messages. Highly recommend the clinic and pharmacy. Very happy with them.

There are 2 receptionists in this clinic and they rarely answer the phone, especially when you press 2 to go as a new patient or book an appointment with Dr Bala. This is so ridiculous! They want you to leave a message for them to call you back at THEIR TIME! It should be the other way around! They are supposed to be available for their clients not the opposite! If you're working or busy during the day and would miss their call whenever they call you back at their convenience, then you need to consider another doctor, because the receptionist never answers your call!

Dr. Bala is good.the receptionist on the other hand. Good luck trying to get through. It took me a full month to finally get back from the receptionist to book a follow up appointment.

After visiting couple of walking clinics in Scarborough, I have come to visit this clinic and realized that this is one of the best clinic when it comes to maintaining high standards of medical services, professionalism and hygiene. Now, this has became my TO GO medical center. Highly recommend to anyone.

My mom is a patient of Dr. Sayeda and she has multiple health issues. The Dr.is so kind and treats seniors so well. The receptionist /Medical assistant is amazing! I have had to get some medical notes for her and she is so quick to respond and always a pleasure to deal with. Great medical team!

Walk in is not always available, seemingly random and not detailed on their website. Waste of time to go.

Have they changed the receptionist? I plan on coming in, only if there's someone new in place.

I decided to book an appointment here after reading all the positive reviews. My app was booked for 12-1: 30 but no one called so I decided to contact the clinic, at 2;20 the receptionist called back and said I will receive a call shortly, long story short no one called me back. I am surprised I never had this happen to me before.

The worst service ever!

I had twisted my knee the other day and was unable to walk because of the searing pain. I thought the pain will recede after a few days of rest and ice packs. As there was no respite I decided to book an appointment with Guildwood clinic.

The middle eastern sounding lady at the phone initially said that she would book a phone consult with Dr syeda after 2 days. I agreed to this and had decided to live with the pain for a few more days.

On the day of the appoinment no one had reached out. So I called them back and this lady was like, “No you didnt book an appt with Dr syeda, infact you did it with another in house doctor”. I was like whatever, I just wanted the pain to stop and was too tired to argue with her.

She said that the new Doctor will reach out in 2 hrs. No one reached out. Infact I called her up again and she was like “ the Dr will call you before 4pm”. No one called.

I spend 3 days in pain because of this lady, and now have to spend another few days to get an new appointment with another dr.

I hope someone will teach them how to run a service that actually cares for their patients. Most importantly, get a more humane receptionist!

I highly recommend Dr. Syeda. She is very welcoming and professional. She shows that she truly cares for the patients and make you feel comfortable. The receptionist/nurse Nazik is responsive and very nice too. The pharmacist Naeem is very knowledgeable and compassionate. I would recommend Guildwood Medical Centre to friends and family.

This doctor does not seem interested in regular patients just walk in and the one time I went to the clinic as a walk in patient they had closed for the day without putting a note or explanation on the door. I can not recommend Dr. Seyda as a doctor.

Flawless experience getting my Covid vaccine here. I appreciate receptionist Bharati help for easy registration with less paperwork. Such a great experience with true professionalism. I definitely recommend this clinic.

The receptionist is very rude with a bad attitude and never seems to answer or call back. She had my mother's bloodwork for over two weeks and didn't bother calling us back. Then when my mother went in she proceeded to give us attitude. Very unprofessional and might be planning on getting a new family doctor because she is way too overworked! They clearly have way to many patients than they can handle.

Best walk in clinic. They really care for their patients and give the right treatment. Dr. Syeda is really calm and knowledgeable.thanks
