Food is good, waiting list is stupid.we were a few minutes late and then they gave away our table and told us waiting list is 240 minutes.

Excellent dinner here. Food came out so fast, and server kept checking if we need drink re fills or anything else to order. Food quality and taste was perfect. The service is better here than other location I tried. Just make sure to join the wait list as it’s hard to get a table if you just walk in. Make sure to order ice cream and creme brûlée dessert, it’s amazing!
Plenty of parking as well

Food was okay. Got seated at a spot for 4 people when we had 5 people… they gave us a foldable chair for the 5th person. Also table was too small for 5 people…very cramped. Around $55 per person. Mandatory tip is a joke.

**Bed Bug**
I've been here more than 5 times so far, but I was bitten by a bedbug here last week. I had two bites on my right foot, and before I ate my foot, my foot had no problem. But after eating there, the bite was so itchy. I work from home, so I have nowhere to go, and this was my first time out last week. So it could never have been bitten anywhere else.

This restaurant may have been good for a business meeting four years ago; however, I found it very unsatisfactory for evening dining. The amount of noise in the restaurant was so bad I had to turn off my hearing aids and yet even was deafened by the extremely loud noise coming from a table beside us. It was at the point where it was actually painful to listen to these people screaming almost at the top of their lungs. Surely there is something that could be done for some level of noise abatement within the restaurant. It really made the dinner considerably less enjoyable.

We were also crammed seven people at one table with one person stuck at the very end of it and I being sat on top of the gas pipes that led to the grills. No place to put myself comfortably. If the number of people can't be properly accommodated comfortably at the table, then surely a larger table should have been provided!

The food for me was only so so as I can't eat anything that has sesame oil on it. I really didn't find that the restaurant made much of an an effort to provide help to understand what was okay to eat or make any offer of producing some food that wasn't soaked in sesame oil.

Sesame is now recognized as a food allergen. There wasn't much effort to point out that there were some vegetables and other items that could have been grilled and would have been satisfying.

It was great! Recommended to anyone looking for Japanese bbq. Cooking at the table was easy and the waiters are very helpful and attentive. I loved the brisket, shrimp, pork and the creme brulee was amazing. I could eat ten creme brulee. Definitely come with an empty stomach.

It's my first time going to any Gyubee. I had a great experience! The servers were frequent enough to take care of any orders or request and the food was great. Beats Chako's for sure except the price. But I think it's worth it

I knew there was going to be a long wait so I told my husband to go put our name down at 5: 45. Even then it was a 3 hour wait! We were going to join the wait list on Yelp but the list was closed for some reason! Anyway eating at 8 ish wasn't too bad.it was supposed to be a 3 hour wait but we were seated slightly before 8: 45 so the timing is pretty accurate. The service was attentive and everything came so fast! Haven't been here for prob over a year and the service and food is still amazingggg! Especially the marinated meats! All of the marinated meats are soo good but even the non marinated ones taste good with their sweet soy sauce or ssamjang. The meats are fresh with beautiful marbling.

The garlic beef brisket only comes in 4 thin slices but it's bombbbbbbb! Verrry garlicky and addicting! Because the marinated meats were so tasty, The prime steak and black pepper Kalbi was only meh. The meat quality was good but they just sprinkled some pepper on top and the meat cubes are so thick that the outside burns quickly leaving the inside still raw!

Can't wait for my next meal here

Best AYCE grill. Service is super fast, if you’re new you might get confused, or if you’ve never been to an AYCE. Offers lunch and dinner menu with both inbetween hours.

Sides are great, many choices, meat quality is good for AYCA.grill can use some lard as it blackens after 20-30mins with the small wiring. They serve alcohol and add 10% I believe.

Make sure to make reservations or else you’ll be waiting awhile. Place is always packed on weekends.

I haven’t been to an AYCE bbq in over 8yrs but saw this restaurant online and gave it a shot. Went on a weekday lunch for dinner menu. Restaurant was not busy. Superb service! Food was good and arrived fast. I didn’t like going to bbqs before due to the strong smoky smells that still linger after a long shower. However this place was amazing! The vent is incorporated in the grill so the smoke doesn’t come anywhere near you. Entering and leaving the restaurant, my clothes and hair still smelled fresh! It’s a win for AYCE bbq. I’ll be back sooner than 8yrs!

Food was fresh and great quality! There were lots of options to choose from and staff were helpful and provided great service. My only complaint is that you cant make reservations for parties under 2. My partner and I had to wait almost an hour in the parking lot for our table to be ready. Overall, this is an excellent place especially for the price you are paying

Worth 2 hurs drive: D

I’ve been to different Gyubee for many years, but the two last time I can’t get in because of the very long time waiting (average 2-3 hours) and the waitlist was closed. I got so angry because I have to drive from Toronto to there, but because I’m a Gyuubee big fan, so today I give them one more chance. This time constantly changed my mood from angry to happy and satisfied. Thanks a lot to the manager (I forgot his name) and Yuki, who served my table for bringing such a great time for our dinner. I love the food here because of their signature sauces and high-quality meats. Moreover, the service here was insane, they are always fast and satisfied with whatever you need in a minute, Grills were frequently changed and the servers always came at the right time without us having to call them over. They have already put the service charge (12%) there but I think they deserve better than that. I will be back regularly to see those nice people. Thank you guys for bringing such a pretty service and food for us. Extremely high recommended!

My family went for dinner as a birthday celebration, and it was fantastic! The food is flavourful, the experience is great and the service is awesome. Nick is the greatest!

Beef was pretty good. My fav were all beef. Kurobuta sausage was mediocre with too much oil that literally just burnt right away on the grill. Pork belly was way too thin and just fat also just became like charcoal. Cold noodle was decent. Others weren't as good. There was way too much sauce in the bibimbab, over powered all of the other ingredients. Mushrooms and all of the other veggies were very fresh. Oh shrimp and clams were good. Squid was bleh. I had to clean my palate with pineapple. It was nice creme brulee and Korean ice cream were part of the meal, didn't have to pay for desert.

My verdict: if my friend invite me over and pay for me, I'd go. I rather go eat nice chunks of meat at Brazilian steak house and pay a bit more.

Tip: Reservations only for 4 or more, otherwise it is first come first serve or go on the Yelp waitlist.

Went there for a birthday with a reservation of 10. They sang happy birthday for our friend. Staff was pretty attentive. One stood out on checking up on our large table regularly, his name was Elmer. Did a great job.

Very lively atmosphere, food was decent but from the reviews I read before going it was a little overhyped. The meat was good, but I've had better, particularly at this price point, which was reasonable. One of the biggest appeals to this type of restaurant is cooking the meat to your liking, and in doing so we had a little bit of a fire going, didn't think it would be an issue given that it was a BBQ, but the staff asked us to not have a visible flame. They were very nice to also change the grills for us, but we were a little confused by their alarm at the fire. Especially because my companion for this particular visit was a chef, we had no concern regarding our grill management. Over all a very positive experience but I still feel it was over hyped.

Great cuts of meat! The staff was very helpful and present. Tried to call to reserve a seat in advance for days in a row and their reserve a seat line would put us on hold before quickly ending the call. Many of my friends tried to call the restaurant. Luckily it was morning and we only had to wait 45mins.

The service was amazing. The waiters were really nice and told us what dish was what before placing the meat on the grill.

The waiters were also always readily available for water refill or if you had any questions about anything.

Firstly, the ambiance was cozy and bright. The whole restaurant is clean and neat. Servers are polite and will greet you right away. The food is outstanding specially the prime kalbi. Special thanks to Don who serves us. He’s very energetic and hands-on.

Very busy restaurant! Quick and very attentive service! We were aiming for a 7: 30pm weekday dinner and joined the Yelp waitlist around 5: 45pm (seated approx. 7: 45pm) The App makes the process easy, so you are safe to head over only when 6-8 tables are in front of you.

The food quality and the service were amazing as per Gyubee standard. The only minor inconvenience was that after Yelp’s “your table is ready” text, we still needed to wait 20 mins or so at the restaurant waiting area — the table we were getting was still paying their bill and needed clean up.

The food here is great, although we have only been ordering take out from this place so far. The food quality is decent, and the price is not too expensive.
Parking is kinda tricky, if you couldn't have a spot near the entrance of the restaurant. You will have to park behind the building.

My overall experience with Gyubee is great, I'll recommend others to give this place a try.

Impossible to make a reservation.start calling at 11am for 50 times and no one pick up ~ once it pick up, it’s said it’s full? Hard to believe it

You better make a good reservation system like OpenTable? Calling for help is disaster

No idea how to get a wait list

The food is delicious here, I usually only order their beef and seafood, the pork and chicken are not as good. Do note they don't take anything other than cash and debit. The wait for dinner is it usually around two hours. We came at 6pm, put down our name and came back two hours late and got our table right away. Besides the wait, the restaurant is great.

Food is so delicious and there's melona for dessert. The miso soup was also fantastic on the most recent night I went. Staff is well-mannered. Parking is guaranteed available at dinner times if you park at the back.

No matter how good the food is, nothing will justify 2 hours waiting for food. Especially when the owners have the power to regulate the experience and allow reservations.

Food is good, pricing is on the higher side, but i would never give a lower rating due to price.they really start taking reservations instead of making customer wait for 1 hour+

PROS:

Lots of good quality meat variety. Comes in boneless bite-sized slices so you don't even need to worry about cutting it into pieces, and you can just eat comfortably. The grill temperature is also adjustable to suit your cooking preference (longer, more relaxed or fast-paced).

They also have unlimited bibimbap and cold noodles! Must try their creme brulee for dessert!

Cheaper and less busy on weekdays Monday-Thursday (dinner price around $35 with tax + tip compared to around $40 with tax + tip)

CONS:

Long wait times during weekend dinners (about 1-2 hours)

Can only reserve if there are 6 or more people in your group.

Sometimes the quality of service changes depending on the time you dine. Oddly, I find the service better/more attentive servers during peek hours, dinner time on weekends, than regular weekday dinners (ex.changing the grill, getting your orders to your table, etc.)

*There is a 2 hour seating limit (about 20 mins before end time for last call orders) which seems to be a good amount of time/pace to enjoy the food. *

Overall, love this place!

Not good as before, we have to wait 60 mins when we come at 6 pm on weekday, and only allow 2 hours eating time, a lot of favor and salt inside the meats, we need to drink a lot of water after dinner.

CAUTION: Bad customer service

This restaurant closes at 10 p.m on Mondays hence I decided to visit this place at 6: 30 p.m. Yet they refused to serve other customers as well as me, because apparently they randomly decided to close this place at 8 p.m.
Never in my life have I witnessed that a restaurant dares to send guests away. The idiom "the customer is the king" definitely is non-existing here!

I have been waiting to try this place for a long time. It was worth the wait. Love the food, love the service. They were very organized as it can get crazy right from the get go. The place does not take reservations for less than 6 people and if you do go, be prepared to wait. FYI, Even arriving before opening, the restaurant opens its doors half hour before and lets customers in to start a line. By the time the doors open, if you don’t have a number, best to get a number and go somewhere (maybe take a quick trip to j-town just around the corner) and make it back for your table.

Called for an hour and they didn’t pick up the phone. The phone rang the first couple of times and then they sent me straight to voicemail. This is unacceptable for a reservation based restaurant. When I finally got someone on the phone they said they could not do a reservation for 4 people and we’d have to walk in. They said the wait was going to be 1-2 hours. How are you going to not pick pick up the phone for an hour and then tell me I have to walk in and wait another 1-2 hours. That’s ridiculous!

Great place to eat kalbi beef. Good variety of meats. Need more choices for seafood and dessert. Price is steep for what you get. They charged 18% service charge on groups 6 or more people.

This is my favorite self-service barbecue, because it is self-service, so the size of each piece is not a problem, and the service attitude is also very good, I recommend you to taste

Always a great place to eat at. Food is phenomenal and the service literally gets better each time I go. The service is what makes this place as great as it was when it first started. And the food! Mouth watering.

This place is always packed on weekends. We came on a Sunday night and had to wait over 2 hours for our seat. It was crazy.

The wait of course, obviously was worth it. I came here many times in the past and love the cuts of meat they serve here. Everything was well marinated and had lots of flavour. Their cumin spice mix is also very addicting. I dip all my meats in this spice blend because it reminds of the Chinese lamb skewers I get at other restaurants. My favourite item had to be the miso beef brisket. It had a beautiful miso flavour that was slightly sweet and not too salty. Their chicken cartilage pieces were also very tasty.

It's the best place I know to eat and no matter how, they are the best. Its a
Self-help restaurant so that why the pieces are small. And actually you get to pick and they get things for you. It's taste absolutely like Korean it just that you haven't get use to it yet. And also it is just very hot so that why you wait for really long, reserve it then it will be much faster. Will come back again!
