We stopped by for lunch during the week, ordered two dishes

Good stuff:
- Food was super flavorful and tasty, we really enjoyed the platter with a variety of different dishes.
- injera was very tasty and they had different options for dietary concerns
- steak dish we got was tasty, well cooked and seasoned well

Could use improvements:
- Service was pretty much nonexistent and a bit rude. When we went to pay, they charged us for a few items we did not order. They were very rude in that process.

This is my go-to takeout food. Absolutely delicious! Habesha has options for both vegetarians and those who eat meat.

The BEST Ethiopian restaurant in Ottawa! Everything on the menu is great, anytime I have people visiting I bring them here

First time trying this location.i tried a variety platter with a side.i've always loved Ethiopian food, but this is easily the best experience i've had.delicious, fresh, flavorful.can be made non-spicy and spicy.family owned with phenomenal service.was serviced by Abby (unsure on spelling). Loved her passion and energy in discussing the options.very helpful knowledge of the menu with finding the right fit for what i was after.didnt wait long for the food.i will most certainly come back here!

Food is excellent, people are nice. It can take time before the food is ready (which is a good thing, it's not pre-prepared food and it gives time to chat before eating)

I had dinner with couple of my friends the other day and the combination dish and zilzil tibs were amazing

A hidden gem tucked away in Vanier. Their food is delicious and the family who own it are wonderful. Definitely check it out.

First time having Ethiopian food. The staff were friendly and made great recommendations. The food was amazing and was well portioned with good prices.

The food was a great example of the cuisine, but the stand-out by far was our server who surprised my kids by bringing them a very exotic looking, resort-level (virgin) cocktail and had them guessing all through the meal what was in the drink. She was an absolute pleasure, and I’m so happy we went to the restaurant because of her hospitality towards us. Thank you so much!

The food was excellent. We ordered the vegetarian platter for 3. Every bit was really tasty. Our toddler loved it too. The staff are so friendly and kind.

Really enjoyed the food, great injera as well as perfect injera to food ratio.
Not sure about the long plastic covers on the table since they reach down to your legs, but overall really great. Will come back for sure.

We came here as a large group and we’re taken care of very well. The restaurant was very accommodating to our group’s requests and were very friendly overall. If you haven’t tried Ethiopian food before, this is definitely the spot to try it for the first time!

I love the food, and I love the staff. They treat you like family and make you feel right at home! I recommend them to everyone! It is worth it!

Amazing food, generous portions, authentic. And the people are so nice and friendly. Have been going there for a long time now, and keep going back for more when I want good Ethiopian food.

I recommend the Habesha platter that comes with multiple items to shsre.

The injera is really nice and sour, which is important for this dish.
