I came with a picture of the haircut I wanted. I kinda liked my hair when the hairdresser (don’t remember her name) who did, finished with it. I felt that there is something off but I thought I might be overthinking because it’s new but right after the first home hair washing, I started to see that something is wrong. When I dried it the front looked awful, and I couldn’t do anything with it to make the hair look better I paid almost $80… I’m disappointed, because I wanted to love it soo much, the hairdresser was kind and it’s soo hard to find a hijab friendly hair salon…

The best experience I have ever had in a salon in Canada.

Reem and the team are very dedicated, hard working, and friendly. They know how to cater to their clients' needs.

Incredible experience, Maryam left my curls looking and feeling amazing and they use great products + she told me how to style my hair. Book in advance as they are always busy.

Incredible salon. I’ve had the cado curly cut a few times now and I’ve tried out a few different stylists (Reema being one of them). They are all fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming and I am so grateful I found Hair By Reema! This will be my forever salon.

I recently had an experience at this salon that left me feeling less than satisfied, especially considering the hefty price tag. I traveled all the way from Vancouver with the expectation of a haircut and color, but unfortunately, the results did not meet my expectations.

I paid a staggering $700 for a haircut that lacked the promised layers. Despite explicitly expressing my desire for lots of layers while maintaining the length as much as possible, my hair was cut to shoulder length with minimal layering. This was a significant deviation from what I had envisioned and, needless to say, left me disappointed.

The color, while technically well done, was not close to what I had communicated. It's not a matter of skill, but rather a miscommunication that resulted in an outcome that was not what I wanted. I appreciate the effort put into the color, but it's disheartening when the end result doesn't align with the client's vision.

Furthermore, it's been 1-2 months since my visit, and I've noticed that my hair no longer curls the way it used to. I'm uncertain if this is a result of the products used or the technique applied, but it's a noticeable and undesirable change that I attribute to my salon visit.

During the appointment, the hairstylist styled my hair in what appeared to be a rush due to a workshop or educational session. While I understand the importance of professional development, it should not compromise the quality of service for paying clients. The rushed styling left much to be desired, and I understand styling won’t always be the same as we’re accustomed to but the salon specializes in curly hair I would expect much more.

I do want to acknowledge that the hairstylists were all very nice, and their friendliness was appreciated. However, the overall experience did not meet my expectations, and I won't be returning to this salon. After my return to Vancouver, I had to give myself the proper layering that was lacking from the initial appointment.

In summary, the high cost, miscommunication, rushed styling, and subsequent disappointment in the end result make it difficult for me to recommend this salon to others seeking a personalized and satisfactory experience.

I straightened my hair for over 14 years and I was looking to find a good professional to cut my hair and have my curls back. I found Remma on IG. Last week I had my hair with Mila and she was fantastic!

I loved her work and the result.

I have been going to this salon for around 2 years now and am so happy with my hair every time! I always see Tami and I can’t begin to tell you how awesome she is. She makes you feel comfortable, listens to what you’re looking to do with your hair and always always delivers! I always feel so confident after leaving the salon and have Tami to thank for that. I am so glad I have found such a great salon for my curly hair.

I am giving 2 stars although I did not try the service yet. But 3 stars to talents I see on salon’s IG stories.

However, an effective booking system should be in place. I called a few months back to book with Reema and front desk mentioned she is not taking any clients for now. I asked about waiting list and nothing was clear about that. They asked me to ask again closer to Oct.
So I did! I submitted a new appointment request. No one got back to me within days. I called the Salon and no answer.

Do you have so many customers? So you are not interested to get more?

I got my balayage done from Anthea, she’s ridiculously AMAZING she gave me a mil$ look that I wanted to have. This’s the second time I got my hair done from her and every single time I’m OBSESSED with my look. I 1000% recommend her honestly

My mom and I both had our hair cut here. The service was phenomenal, I had Zanayda and my mom had Anthaya and they were both so kind and Zanayda perfected my haircut to look exactly like my reference photo! The ambiance and experience were so nice especially the private accommodation as a hijabi was a unique experience for us:)

I went to go see Lauren and she did an incredible job at cutting & styling my hair. I have a LOT of hair and this was the fastest anyones ever cut and styled it. My hair feels so much healthier, it dries down better, and I just love my face framing layers. Thanks Lauren!

Lauren was the best! She completely restored my dead colour with highlights. Plus she was sooo friendly and amazing. 10/10 would recommend her! ️

Sheniese is just amazing!
I've been looking for a good hairdresser that can help me with my curls, Sheniese did just that! She is nothing short of amazing, her knowledge and understanding of what my hair needed was on point.
And my hair cut was fabulous. There are no words that can express my gratitude. I've already booked my next appointment.

I had the most beautiful hair cut done by Chanel. This hair cut absolutely changed the way I looked at my curly and I feel in love with my curly hair again!

I had my first experience with Olivia and wow! She ask me what I wanted and what is good for my hair. She always talk through what she was doing and what products was using. Giving me tips, answer my questions as well. I had my first ever curly hair cut and she made me fall even more in love with my curls. Want to say Thank you Olivia! I’ll be sure to come back!

I started going to Hair by Reema last year and it was the best decision I made for my hair. I always see Chanel and can’t explain how fulfilling it is to have your hair cut by someone who makes it a priority to understand your hair and what you’re looking for. Not only do I love her work after I leave but I continue to love it months later even as my hair grows out. She is a joy and is so generous with her knowledge. I never leave an appointment without booking the next one. I can’t recommend her and the team at Hair by Reema enough.

Chanel is the best senior stylist I've had for years. I've been getting curly cuts, and wet/blown-out services with her since she worked in midtown Toronto.

Chanel takes her time to understand her client's hair journey and routines by asking the right questions. Chanel takes the time to help you understand her approach, which can lead to the results you seek over time (if necessary).

I've recommended my brother to Chanel. He's been happy with the shape and state of his hair ever since.

I highly recommend her services to anyone searching for a new hair stylist!

The Salon environment and the stuff are all amazing. I never had a better costumer service when going to get my hair done. I was struggling with my hair because I got it poorly done at a different salons then I came to Shireen and she was a saviour. She transformed my hair completely and I fell in love with her work and talent. I always come back for a toner and a hair cut and every time she surprises me with how good and fresh my hair looks. Shireen is an amazing hairdresser that listens and understands what you want. She’s always open to suggesting new things to try on your hair which I find so helpful. Amazing and welcoming atmosphere at this salon. I brought my daughter to see Chanel on recommendation from a friend. Chanel did an amazing job, I have never seen my daughters curls so hydrated and curly EVER. Amazing stylist, who listens to what her clients want and is super patient in answering all questions.

I've been going to Hair by Reema for about 1.5 years (had my hair cut three times) and overall, they've been positive experiences. Renna cut my hair the first two times and this time I had my hair cut by Olivia. My experience overall was positive but I asked for curtain bangs that end around the cheekbone when styled. The curtain bangs I got are a bit shorter and not what I asked for (there was another hair stylist that cut my bangs as Olivia observed). Additionally, my bangs are uneven in how they've been connected to the rest of my hair (right side is missing a face framing layer and I didn't notice until later). Overall, I have good experiences with this salon but I'd advise that you don't hesitate to take your time and clarify with your hair stylist as to what is being done to avoid outcomes like this.

1000/10 recommend for my curly haired girls. They left my hair so beautiful and cute! I had heat damaged hair and it was super dry. The hair stylist cut off all my dead hairs (yay!) and hydrated my hair. In the end my hair looked like never before and I’m so happy with the results!

I’ve been debating on going to Hair by Reema for a year and I’m soooo glad I did. Chanel did an amazing job on my hair and I will definitely be back. I have been seeing Shireen for my colour/ balayage styling for the past 9 months. She is super talented, amazing, funny and thoughtful. All qualities of an amazing stylist that truly cares about her client needs. She saved my hair, showed me the beauty in dark tones as I always struggle with between what I want and what I need. Shireen finds a good balance and every time my hair is healthier and I get compliments daily as a result of HER work.
This is my go to hair salon, everyone is super friendly, a very professional setting every stylist is talented here and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this place.

I had booked junior stylist but they were running behind on schedule to ensure my appt was handled on time Natalia came over and asked if i would be okay with her completing my appointment. She was a senior stylist.

I shared pictures of what I liked and she heard me out and put me at ease. I dont think I have felt this comfortable during a hair appointment in the past. Natalia was super gentle with the wash asked if the temp was ok she massaged really nicely.

She was truly patient and customer focused and it showed in how she dealt with me. She was kind and always had something positive to say. She even complimented my eye lashes during the wash.

I got my hair cut today by Olivia and I was really happy with the whole experience! I was nervous because it was my first time getting a curly cut and I didn’t have a proper cut in a while, but she was super nice and walked me through what she was doing. She also gave me tips to take care of my own hair. I absolutely loved the way my hair looked afterwards. Super grateful to live close enough to get my hair done here!:)

I really enjoy going to Hair By Reema to get my hair done. I go there mainly for blow dry service. I have thick and long hair but they always take their time with me and I leave very happy. In addition, the ambiance is so lovely and the place is super clean.

I got my hair cut and styled by Sheniese and honestly can't thank her enough! My curls have never looked so good. I have never had my hair cut by someone who really understands curls and shaping without cutting off too much. She is so sweet, she listens to what you want and she is so much fun to be with at the salon! I am so happy with her cut and I will for sure be back! Went to Hair by Reema for the first time today as I was referred by a friend. I am so happy with my hair cut and style by Sheniese (senior stylist). Sheniese has a calming energy, was great at listening to what I wanted and brought my curls back to life! It’s hard to find a stylist that knows how to cut and style curly hair in general. She definitely knows her stuff!

I highly recommend this salon and Sheniese. The salon is clean and beautiful and over all I had a great experience.

Renna was absolutely amazing! I went in super nervous as I have never really done much with my hair but she made it super easy and we had some of the best chats about life. Can't wait to come back:)

I was hesitant about sharing my experience, but I don’t want anyone to experience this poor service like I did. I went to hair by Rema full of hopes that they won’t harm my hair as this is my first time colouring it but instead they damaged it! I still remember the stylist blow out the foils with heat on my hair! Can you imagine the damage she did! Maybe she was in hurry and just wanted to finish with it. Oh I’m so disappointed, not to mention how rude she was. It has been a year and I’m still trying to fix my hair I had to cut it so many time just to give a chance to grow. Please don’t be fooled by Instagram pictures and the reviews. This place is all about marketing themselves but they are Not the best.

Muslimah Friendly. Muslim Friendly Hair Salon. Amazing service, professionalism and skills. My Stylist Shenice was amazing. I went in for a cut, and I showed her some pictures of what I wanted. She gave me exactly that and really took care of me. I will definitely be a regular customer.

There is a parking around back but also plenty of free street parking.

My experience at Hair by Reema was amazing. I had a malibu treatment, a cut and colour done. Olivia and Renna were extremely professional and friendly which made the time go by fast. Most professional hair stylist I had. Reema and her team are amazing. Courteous and nice. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the appointment availability but I guess that's because they are excellent at what they do and keen to keep everyone served on time.

I just had a second visit.service and quality are mind blowing. The salon was very busy yet I felt as if I were the only customer. Everyone was checking if all is ok making sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. Reema was very attentive, she remembered what we talked about few weeks back. Ive never been here before and was really looking forward to my experience here, I booked a consult but After seeing the message on Instagram about availability last minute cancellation i spoke with olivia and quickly provided all the information the hair dresser Renna needed to complete the phone consult. I even sent pictures. Then without any notice Renna stopped responding to my messages and I saw an updated IG post stating the appointment was booked. She gave the time slot away to someone else all while interacting with me the same time. I’m disappointed at how she didn’t communicate properly and gave the appointment to someone else, also they are fully booked up until June for all senior stylists.

Absolutely love my balayage by Hair by Reema! I definitely chose the right place. Reema knew how to deal with my kinky-curly hair texture, not just colouring it but also styling it the way I like. And even recommended some great products to keep my hair looking the way it did. Reema and her team are amazing!

The absolute best salon! Period! Reema and her entire staff are incredibly professional, well qualified, and do wonders each time. I wear a hijab, and love that they provide 100% privacy for me to have my hair coloured in comfort. The entire staff is very talented and my hair has looked BETTER than the inspo pictures I have shown each time. Their products are high quality and keep my hairs shine and health even after colouring. A lot of salons use cheaper products that fry your hair but not this one. I highly recommend!

The haircut was good especially for hijabis because they have a closed separate place.

But Im giving it 3 stars because even though the reception man was nice, it was very uncomfortable to talk about questions personal to hair like how long, what length, what color. Whats yhe point of wearing a scarf/hijab if Im just going to explain to a man or in front of a man what it looks like or what I have. I felt very uncomfortable, maybe he shouldnt ask those questions or leave away from the desk when a stylist lady is questioning.

This place is honestly SO AMAZING.i got my hair cut and styled by Reema and honestly there’s no one better than her! If you want your hair done properly then this is definitely the place to go! The staff are amazing and the vibes of this place honestly are so awesome. They are so honest about what they can and cannot do for your hair and are so awesome about everything! Out of all the places i’ve cut my hair, this one takes the cake on being the absolute BEST! Would blindly trust Reema to do whatever she wanted with my hair and i know the outcome would be amazing!

Reema Literally transformed by hair! She is truly an expert in balayage for long curly hair. I went from Red to blond in 1 session. I’m beyond happy and wanted to share with others!

Went here to get two Junior stylist hair cuts. The owner agreed that he will charge me Junior stylist price (he insisted) and he mentioned this to the stylist zenaida.

Not only did zenada did terrible job on the haircut and finished it in 15 minutes, she rushed to the computer and changed the price from the receptionist to more expensive price.

Disgusting and desperate behavior my her. I would avoid her at all costs.

An outstanding place to get your hair cut and coloured. Everyone here is extremely professional and makes me feel amazing whenever I come by for my appointment. 10stars.

Paris cut my hair a few weeks ago, and it was a wonderful experience. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do with my hair and she helped me decide, and showed me how to style it. Everyone working there is very kind and helpful! The space is also beautiful. This is my new go-to place for everything hair related:)

I am new to the area, so I tried out Hair by Reema based on the reviews, and I was so happy that I did. Alexis was the sweetest, and I love how she styled my hair, it was perfect. The salon itself is very clean and has great customer service, definitely going to be my go to salon now:)

I was referred to Hair by Reema by my friend Sarah after she had her hair done by Reema herself. When I went last week for my hair consultation, it was with Nicole. She was so detailed with explaining everything about my hair, what's achievable, what's not, what looks will go good with my skin tone and the process it will take to get to my dream hair colour. I was originally offered a July appt because of how busy this salon is, and I will admit I was really sad when I left because I really wanted my hair done so badly. 2 days later I got a call saying June 1st opened up! I said YESSS ILL TAKE IT then yesterday I got another call saying want to come in tomorrow!? I said YESSSSSSSSSSSS PLEASEEEEE.
Walked in the salon today and everyone was so welcoming, I was offered tea or coffee to drink and Nicole approached me. She was so friendly and made me feel so excited to get my hair done. When I seemed unsure about the colour she was sooooo good at reassuring me that it was going to look amazing! And fair enough she was right. She walked me through the whole process while doing it and also went through the after care for my hair after it was done. When she turned the chair around to face the mirror I was in shock! At the end result. I looked like a while new person! Couldnt recognize me even if you tried too.
I have never in my 27 years of living ever gone to any hair salon in my life that has ever been able to give me what I wanted. I've had salons ruin my hair and make me look green or orange and or burn my scalp with different levels of peroxide at a time and it was very frightening for me. Today I feel like my whole life has been transformed. She turned my hair 360 into the most beautiful Jlo color I have always wanted. I am beyond obsessed with my hair and I have not stopped looking in the mirror. She even told me all about her schooling and how she started out in the hair business and in the midst of it all she was working magic in my hair. I would 1000 % recommend everyone to go to this salon! And make a consultation to discus your next hair dream! Best decision I have ever made! So worth every penny spent, time and energy. Arriving from a red eye trip from the west coast, I ubered to the salon for a treatment, cut, and blow-dry before heading to a conference in Toronto. After a long flight, the welcome I received in the salon immediately eased the tension of a long flight, and my stylist was attentive to the haircut style and length I wanted. I received SO many compliments from literally dozens of colleagues. I can't wait to come back on my next trip to the GTA!

This hair salon really does have the best team ever! You really can’t go wrong with any stylist to style your hair. I would give them 100 stars if I could. I have done a balayage with Reema 3 times so far, and trust me it gets better every single time! She’s really kind and caring, very friendly, and she actually listens to what you want to have done. Although I like to get her opinion on what to do with my hair and what color to go with. I feel like she has an eye for what best suits you. She’s awesome.

I also got my roots done, a trim and a blowout by Alexis. She’s amazing too. She’s extremely gentle on your hair, also very friendly and caring. And she does the best blowouts ever! She just gives you the right amount of volume without any frizz.

Jocelyne does the best head massage! I fall asleep every single time! Very relaxing!

Reema’s husband is very friendly as well. He’s usually the person that books all of my appointments ahead of time to make sure I get the dates that I want. And if there is any mixup ever with any bookings, he always does his absolute best to accommodate everyone.

I haven’t tried any other stylist but I can honestly say they seem just as amazing as Reema, Alexis and Jocelyne are. I have seen other clients get their hair done while I’m at the salon, either by Nicole or Paris, and their work honestly looks beautiful.

Bassam and Reema, you two have done an unbelievably excellent job with this hair salon. I can honestly see this place become something really big in the near future. Congratulations on a job very well done! Ten thumbs up!
