Amazing, as always. The store is very different than it was from the downtown years, so if you're looking for used RPG books, I would try their eBay Store to see what they've got, then pop into the store to buy it from them in person to avoid shipping fees. The staff will also look up used titles from their inventory or check in the basement if you're looking for something specific.

Great store with a good mix of hobbies represented. Typical LGS stuff but with a nice aesthetic and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the staff is a mix between racist and disrespectful. I have a lot of asian and mixed friends in my playgroup, and we've all had bad experiences dealing with buying cards here. They don't care for experienced customers and the original owner, Leon, is no longer there so the place has lost it's charm and mojo. Freya and Sky are the worst employees there, and the Manager, Jeremy, doesn't really care about any staff interaction that's positive. We have all migrated to 401 games and it's been a 'breath of fresh air'.

Please support game stores that love your business! This store couldn't care less. AVOID! Especially if you are a minority.

Solid game shop, inventory is great but needs some work managing stock vs website.ie: missing basic painting supplies like primer despite having it in stock on website

Placed a pre order 6 months ago and decided closer to the release date that I no longer wanted the order shipped. Went to pick it up and was told by an employee in a curt manner that the mix up regarding where my order was to be made available for pickup, was my fault because “I wanted it shipped and then I decided that I didn’t”.

Maybe if I order again I’ll just have it shipped so that I can skip the attitude.

Amazing store. Everything you could need as a ttRPG hobbyist. Prices are fairly good, and the staff are pretty familiar with the product, especially the mainstream ones which they know inside and out

Great hobby shop for pretty much any tabletop RPG or collectible card game. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Their manga selection contains hidden gems and editions that are hard to find. I found a manga volume I'd been hunting for for 2 years.

Great place for cards and mini gaming. Lots of well lit play area. Huge range of minis with a good selection in each game. Definitely worth the trip

Staff are very welcoming and co-operative. Online orders and buylists are ready pretty quickly but even if your order isn't ready they'll go out of their way to help you (it's probably annoying to do this but I just happened to be in the area and wanted to be time efficient).

I placed a hold no problem, I arrived and picked up my hold no problem, the staff were very friendly.

On the outskirts of uptown Toronto you'll find a mecca of gamers delight. Having driven pass the building 1000s of times i was surprised that the comic books in my time was replaced by a myriad of game cards and daily and weekly gamer's tournaments.
The Hairy Tarantula was founded by Leon in 1992 and grew like his interesting beard into a force that beckons adventurous minds that like to learn and challenge other gamers.
All of the staff that I meet were friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and welcomed, which sets the standard for the rest of the store. I would definitely recommend checking this store out.

Edit: I've been on a MTG singles purchasing binge and have been shopping across a handful of stores in Canada to build some wacky decks, and I'm convinced HairyT has one of the quickest and most reliable fulfillment times.

Great store and great service! Products are excellent - quick delivery. I messed up with one of my orders and they were able to help me doing the exchange of product and honoured the discount I originally had - definitely recommend!

Good experience. I came in looking for a specific book, found and purchased it, cracked some good jokes with the staff then dipped. I wish I could provide some detail on their extensive, wide ranging inventory but I had to pop in and out quickly on lunch. Which just means I need to swing back in when I got a few hours to check out everything!
