Hakim Optical London - King

They were nice when I just stopped by to get one of the nose pads on my glasses replaced, but it looks like they scratched my glasses when replacing it and now there's a deep scratch that I see every time I move my head.

I ordered a pair of glasses. They said 2 weeks. They forgot to mention that it was in working days. When I did call it was the 15th day!
"We will call you when it comes in" she said!
Now it's been over a month! (of working days!) I'm still waiting!

I purchased my glasses from this store, unfortunately I broke them, they set me up with new frames. The staff members are so kind, caring and helpful! I will be back when I have a new prescription! Thank you very much. I will recommend your store to everyone I know who needs glasses!

This was my first experience with Hakim.

PROS;

-Staff was very helpful
-Nice selection of frames (I'm picky)
-Lowest price I have ever paid for glasses (Bi-focal/Transitions lenses, and frame)
-My order was ready for pick up in 7 business days

CONS;

-I walked in off the street and there was no optometrist onsite. She had been sent to a busier location that day, so I had to return a second time for the optometrist to do my measurements before the glasses were sent off.

Otherwise, I am very pleased with the service and my glasses - My wife and I will return here. Highly recommended!

If I could provide a 0 star I would. The first thing is that there was suppose to be a special 2 for Pair for one and that was not respected. My second complaint is that when I picked up my glasses I could not see anything in it. I had the same prescription at home and seen in them fine. The employee basically laughed at me stating that I probably needed an eye exam. Either way, they did not reimburse me completely. Very dissapointed in this store and would not recommend. I dealt with an Hakim store before and had nothing but good things to say. This store, I would urge you to avoid.

Went in to ask if someone wouldn't mind tightening the arms on my sunglasses (not purchased here). The young lady did so, taking the time to see how the sunglasses sat on my face before and after the adjustment, as well as cleaning them for me, all without charge. I don't wear prescription glasses, but I almost wish I did, as they have a huge selection of beautiful frames! Highly recommended

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are very affordable. I love my new glasses.

I had a good experience with this place, the two girls working there were very helpful and friendly. I ordered two pairs, good price and they came in a week early.no problems

I ordered two pairs of glasses from this location; once they were ready to pick up I noticed that one pair had scratches on the right lens. I showed the optometrist there and she agreed to send them back to get fixed. When I picked them up the second time, the same scratches were on the same lens. I've tried contacting head office and I just played phone tag with various managers; it was such a headache to get ahold of anyone and the area manager promised to get back to me but never did. So, now I'm stuck with a scratched pair of glasses that I've never even worn. I'm going to have to take them somewhere else to actually get fixed.

You might think you're getting a good two for one deal, or whatever the sale is, but Hakim does not stand by the quality of their products.

I don’t like this business. The white lady with the thick accent was rather “chitty”and not very nice. If you can you should take you money some where else.
I knew what I wanted but I got nothing close to what I wanted. One pair of bifocals with invisible line. And one pair with tint for driving. Nope. When I asked for a reason she told me I’m not sure but I can’t give you the tint you asked for because you have this pair right here in front of you. And when they broke they also wasn’t very pleasant to replace them. Stay away. Walmart has better deals and service.

My first experience was for my kid and it was terrific. I went back to this location for myself because of that and it was the worst experience I have ever had getting glasses. I went and picked out my glasses, that wasn't bad, they told me it would take two weeks to get them back from the lab and they would call me when they were ready. I waited over two weeks and no call, so I called to follow up by the week three mark and they said "oh, yeah your glasses are ready, you can pick them up anytime. " So where was my phone call? I wore them for roughly 6 weeks, with blurry vision and headaches, giving myself a period of time for adjustment. Frustrated and concerned I went back to the eye doctor and they told me that they were not done properly. The doctor and her team took my proper measurements and sent me back to Hakim. Hakim was great and didn't give me a hard time to fix their mistake. They proceed to tell me, "well it will be 3 weeks to get them back and there is no way to contact the lab but we will put a note to rush them. " Luckily I still had my old pair. So, I wait the three weeks and called them to find out where my glasses where, they told me they were not ready and that they cannot make the lab rush them or make it a priority. We will call you when they are ready, they told me. Almost to week four and I call them again, and they tell me that my sun glasses where ready but not my every day pair. Do where was my phone call to tell me the sunglasses where ready? Then they said "well we contacted the lab and they told us that they were on the last step of making the lenses". So what happened to not being able to contact the lab? And no phone call to apologize for the mistake to begin with. I will never go back to this location and I will be hesitant to give them my business at any location. Worst experience I've had for getting glasses in almost 20 years of wearing them plus the nearly 10 years my kids has been wearing glasses.
