Had a really bad experience at this location the place was about to close in 20 minutes and she refused service saying that we are closed one of the worst experiences never get my glasses from this location! This lady was super arrogant needs to learn customer service skills

The optician was not dressed professionally. I would not expect excellence, the best service or have an eye exam from someone who can not dress themselves and look professional.

I really don’t understand what all the bad reviews are about. My wife, daughter and myself all went here for some new glasses. I got contacts for myself. The service was great. The women working very pleasant and helpful. I had to go back about 90 days later to switch my contacts. They did this with no problem. The optometrist was good too. I will return to this location when my family needs new glasses.

Very bad customer service. Looked at my glasses for 2 seconds and told me I needed something that my glasses never needed to begin with. I was then told a repair Can’t be done because they don’t have springs to put in glasses and I would have had to pay $300+ for a new pair of glasses.

Afterward, I went to the optical store in the north end of Oshawa. They took the time to look at my glasses and figure out what was wrong. It was an easy fix and they were also adjusted for me. All I had to pay for the glasses repair and adjusting was $10. They were super friendly and they felt sorry for me that I had such a horrible experience at hakim optical.

Never go to hakim unless you have money up front and know exactly what you want or you will be told they can’t do anything for you.

Always go to the optical store, they provide the best customer service experience for eyeglasses.

DONT GO THERE! I dearly regret not having read any reviews before going in to this store. My experience was terrible and similar to others. During the lockdown, they kept their doors locked and you had to wait to be let in. That wouldn’t be terrible except for the fact that I use a cane to walk as both of my knees are bad. I knocked on the door and waited and waited, while I could see the staff member on the phone, completely ignoring me. (bear in mind I had an appt)

Also, the parking is very limited, the tiny lot is in disrepair, and most of the time it’s full so you have to find somewhere else to park.

The doctor was very nice, however my first prescription was way off, I couldn’t see well. The second try was better, however I had a very hard time with the astigmatism correction. I was told to give it a good try, that it may take a long time to get used to it. I did give it many months, but it just wasn’t working out. When I went back again, I was told that too much time had passed and if I wanted to replace the lenses without the astigmatism correction, I would have to pay additional fees.

So now I’ve had to make 5 trips there, I’ve spent almost $800 on two pairs of glasses (not designer glasses) that I CAN NOT USE AT ALL.
I will never go to Hakim ever again, and will tell that to everyone I know.

I also agree that the staff was rude, except for the doctor. I forgot to mention that the arm on my sunglasses fell off within a few weeks, and then it happened again. CHEAPLY MADE GARBAGE

Well the service is terrible there the prices are high outrageous it's not a good place to go to get glasses

This place is pathetic and just needs to shut down, zero stars customer service.and it smells raunchy insude.to say the least

If I could Give this place zero stars I would. Super over priced. Hakim brand frames cost me almost $300. The one lady who works there is rude and rushes you out the door. I got glasses that I hate because of this lady rushing and being so rude. She was supposed to adjust them so they don’t fall off my face and she did nothing. I would not recommend this place at all. Horrible service and over priced garbage.

Absolutely Horrible! After lockdown I try to get my glasses that were being repaired and they DONATED MY GLASSES on me and then have the audacity to say I could still owe them! NEVER get your glasses fixed here! Horrible service!

Had an amazing experience! I don’t know why there is bad reviews for this place! Anyway if you are looking for a place to get eyeglasses: this place is the perfect place to go! I felt so welcomed and the lady working there was very friendly and patient with me.

There costumer service is rude the Dr is nice though. I had paper work sent there from insurance and called to see if they had it they said no they would call me so the next day insurance is saying it's there no call so I called them and low and behold it was there then I had to wait a week for an appointment just to pick frames for myself and my daughter then after being told 10 days I call on the 11th day to be told I could come pick up the next day when I picked up it was only my glasses not my daughter's she told me she would call me on day 14 I decided since I was already in that area to stop in and see if they were there and I was rudely told that they weren't and she said she would call me sorry I didn't trust since I had to call them before finally on day 16 they call me to tell me they are ready and tried to make me book an appointment for days down the road to pick them up but I said no inwould come and they could hand me them out the door I will not return to this hakim optical and I don't appreciate making me wait so long and talking to me with a rude attitude.

They won't let you take your mask off to see, bad quality and double the price depend on the market

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband ordered glasses before Christmas 2020 and it is now March 6,2021. He has yet been able to wear the glasses.
He has had to return the glasses at least 4 times as the prescription was so bad he couldn't wear them at all. The staff are rude and when he asked for a refund since they can't get the prescription right, he was refused. So he has a pair of $500 + dollar glasses that are garbage. Absolutely disgusting customer service and clearly they have no idea what they are doing. To refuse a refund or even a partial refund is terrible. If we could give a 0 star review, we would have.

Awful place, due to very rude customer service and sale persons. Save yourself.the unpleasant experience is not worth it. Optical boutique is a better choice with far better and friendly sales people.

I went here to get my glasses fixed, as they where the closest place to my house. When arriving the doors where locked. That is fine. I tried calling no one picked up, busy I get it. Then two girls walked to the door. I took my glasses and asked nicely if they could fix them. The one lady was very rude! Honestly, just from the conversation alone I never want to come here for glasses in the future! If that is how you treat someone.then they called the cops on me because I was sitting in my car with my service dog and kid while writing this review. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE COMPLETLY TARRIBLE SERVICE

This is my second time getting glasses here. I love their selection - I haven't found glasses anywhere else that I even like, so it's my only option. The owner, I think, is very matter-of-fact, which some may take as rude, but she's just not a smiley person. But she's not rude, in my opinion. Just businesslike and efficient.

Someone needs give the older woman a lot of customer service training. She is extremely rude and condescending. She also needs to be told that smiling is okay.

Terrible quality glasses. Can see better without my glasses. I asked for another appointment and they wanted me to pay for it. Nope!

Called to make an appointment a day earlier and was told to come “anytime between 3 and 6pm”
I show up and they:
1. Had apparently took my name down wrong when I called and told me I didn’t have an appointment
2. Kicked me out because there were too many customers in the store, me and 1 other lady. (the person that unlocked the door told us both to come inside)
3.seemed extremely disorganized and confused that someone had told us (me and the other lady) to come between 3 and 6.
So if you go here make sure you have an actual appointment, not an approximate visiting time, and make sure they spell your name right.
Luckily the hakim optical at the oshawa center was more than happy to help me out so I’ll be going there from now on.

As the website does NOT state by appointment only I arrived at this location to simply have a screw put into my frames. A woman with black hair was out front when i got there. I approached her fully masked and stood 6ft away asking if she works there to see if she could assist me. Before I could say anything she glares at me, steps back and says "by apointment only". I have tried calling 5 times to make an appointment once I got into my car to no avail.i only needs my glasses to see.
I certainly do not want to return just to run into her again. Poor customer service.

Horrible customer service. Very condescending attitude towards their customers. It's like they don't like money or something.

As a customer for many years, I wouldn't and haven't gone anywhere else. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff.
