Hakka No.1 Restaurant

I don't want to give even 1 star, but there is no option in review's section to write anything without giving single star. If you ask for fish they will serve you chicken for that and will charge you for fish. They are so confused to get the orders and forget the ordered items multiple times. I am happy to spend money not here and can't waste time too. Pooooorest restaurant ever visited.

Lowest than worst service, we ordered fish and rice, person gave chicken and rice then charged for fish. Asked for noodles, gave something else. Asked for no spicy gave, too spicy gravy.
Ruined the lunch.
Never recommend anyone.
Please don’t waste your money there.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I FOUND A HUGE COCKROACH IN MY FOOD (BOMBAY CHICKEN ON FRIED RICE) HALF WAY THROUGH EATING MY MEAL ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!

Enjoy eating here anytime I wish they were giving back to loyal customers like point s or by two get on u now lol but thank u for ur service appreciate it even tho I am a great Guyenese chef

I ordered from here on skip the dishes recently and they canceled my order once and when I ordered again they got my order wrong instead of the house special noodles they gave me fried rice very very disappointing and they take forever to cook honestly I don’t ever feel like ordering from here again my whole iftar was ruined because of them canceling the first time and getting it wrong the second and the food was very exceptional the fried rice had a little burnt after taste the only good thing was the chicken corn soup tbh also the chicken wings had such a thick batter and were not crispy at all overall the experience was soo disappointing I don’t even want to give them a rating there noodles are usually good but they didnt give me any and messed up my order

The food was always great and tasty, my husband and I came here quite a few times and we know the owner, Fred, who's a lovely young man.
However we are extremely disappointed as we went today and found a big sign at the cash register saying that there's a 13% surcharge for dine in. We asked the girl at the cash why, and she said because of covid. We told her that things have been been to normal in the sense that businesses have been up and running for a while now but still, she couldn't explain why. Covid was all she could give as an excuse.

Also, to add insult to injury, they don't provide steamed rice with dishes anymore.

Very sad because we used to love dining here as it was our go to hakka place. Sorry Fred, but we won't be coming back unless you change it back to the way it was.

Had a very bad experience.they kept staring all the time.no smile in the face.chilli chicken filled with soya sauce.noodles are like gum. Asked for hot water, they asked me to wait for 20 minutes. For this service they added $25 service charge in the bill.

I went to pick up our meal for Valentine's day and in the process of eating my Cantonese chowmein I found what looks like a bristle from a brush in my food. I called the restaurant and spoke to Ray he asked me to send a picture of what I found. He never responded or contacted me since Tuesday. I am very disappointed as we usually order food from here. I will not be ordering here again.

Spicy Hakka noodles cooked for 30 seconds soy sauce not mixed properly. Large patches of black where sauce wasn’t mixed. Food was just warm. Would not buy from Hakka #1 again. I threw the noodles in the garbage.

Delicious Chinese food. I got the General Tao with Hakka noodles lunch portion and it was both delicious and massive.

The food was horrible. The rice was hard and dry like stones. The Bombay chicken was dry and tasteless the crispy ginger beef was not crispy and hard. But the rice was an insult. It's very angering to spend 14 on a combo and be given stale hard rice with no veggies and just soy sauce. Stop doing that to people we are not picking up money on the road. If I could bring the food back and throw it right back at in restaurant I would. Waste of money, time and just made me feel very upset. I literally couldn't eat the rice without choking I had to throw it all away.

Ordered the food for the first time for lunch and loved it and went back and ordered the dinner for 4 special.

Will be back.

Giving 1 star because there is no option of zero or minus. Worst Chinese food I ever had. Ordered soup, chicken noodles and fish fried rice. Couldn’t have even 1/4th of it. They tasted extremely bad. Complete waste of money. Never go there.

Spacious dining space, big portion sizes, reasonable price. Great customer service. Food tastes good. I would suggest to take the set menu. I took dining option 2. Highly recommended restaurant.

Their fried rice is really good! We've been looking for a place with good fried rice and this is def it. So far I've also tried their honey garlic chicken. 4.5/5 cuz I wish it was a lil more crispy but the flavour is really good!

Cheap food. Took fish and some noodles with chicken shrimp and beef.
I’m shocked, placing order was like restaurant was super busy, no one barely took any interest in order, went there, was no person sitting around. Then noodles I ordered were like 2 pc shrimp 2 pc chicken chunk barely and 1 pc of whatever they found useless.
I’m sorry but this ain’t way to serve. No choice I have to write up coz of there unprofessional attitude. Don’t take orders if you take on ur interest, people who hungry suffers.

I give the restaurant 3 stars. Foods not terrible. I found the calamari, Shanghai noodles, and wonton noodles undercooked. As they weren't soft enough. But it wasn't terrible. The flavour wasn't bad it's there. Just I feel prices should be lower to match quality. The manchurian chicken in gravy was soggy but flavour was good. I had the dine in experience. Customer service was great. The restaurant would benefit from dessert and drink options. As they don't serve dessert; and drink options are basic pop also water served was warm. Cold water would be better.

I ordered here first time; chilli chicken, chicken pakora and veggie noodle from uber eats. My first impression was the portions (containers) were smaller than the other hakka kitchen takeouts. Secondly, the foods were not fresh especially the chicken pakora was very bad. Probably it was sitting in their kitchen since morning, we couldnt eat it. Noodle didnt have enough vegetable it was like a noodle without vegetable. (it was ordered as a vegetable noodle). Although we tried to eat the food, we didnt enjoy it. Next morning we both woke up sick. They probably dont have a clean cooking environment which is the most important thing. Will never order from Hakka No. 1

The food was outstanding! Staff let us put the game on and was patient while our group of ten conversed after the meal. Only negative was the bathrooms were gross.
