The chili chicken (dry) seems to be the most popular (followed by the wet variant). There was a steady stream of customers popping in for takeout for the hour we were there for lunch. 2/3 of our table ordered the chili chicken (dry) and the other 1/3 ordered the chili fish (dry). This restaurant is cash or debit only.
Your food is the happiest and most exciting part of my day! Thankyou for serving the most authentic Hakka taste in toronto. Your Sincerity towards cooking really shows in every bite. Wishing you great success!
I ordered the garlic noodles and the bombay chicken. I was amazed how fast the order was delivered. The food was absolutely delicious. The spicy is SPICY. Loved every bit of it. Thankyou to the team and the chef who prepared the order. Will definitely order more!
It’s okay. General Tao chicken was more like ginger chicken. So many big pieces of gingers and quite soupy rather saucy. Chilli chicken was meh, there are better chilli chicken out there. Dear owner: it was your food/place 100% I ordered via Uber on October 15th at 14: 18. Take the criticism, this will help you get better and successful in your business. Cheers!
Great place to pick up Hakka food around Thorncliffe area. They have alot of option for lunch specials and the portion will definitely fill you up. I recommend Chilli Chicken Dry and Manchurian Chicken Saucy. For $11.30 lunch you cant go wrong.
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Location is excellent. Portions are too excellent. But I’m giving one star to this because on the bill they charged me “service charge” without my knowledge. I have never seen that type of charge yet in restaurants and I eat out with my group twice a week (at least). I am an excellent tipper if the service is good. But I did not too well this time having a great service due to this unpleasant and u told charge. Most likely I will not go back here. I think This charge is unfair and unethical.
I am a regular customer for this place. Their service is really really fast. I love their food. Everything on their menu is great. Bombay fish, Chicken chilli Dry and Kung Pao chicken must try. Their staff is also very good. She recommended many items on my different visits and it never disappoints us. And the price is very affordable.
Went there with my family last weekend. The food is delicious. Love their bombay chicken. The lady attending us was friendly. Will definitely go back again.
The only Hakka restaurant I will eat at when I'm in Toronto. The chefs know what they're doing and the dishes are authentic. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try real Hakka Indian style cuisine.
This Hakka place is alright.the chili chicken costed 10+tax which is what it said on the menu, not quite sure why i was charged $12.75. Also the steamed rice sometimes comes in a little cold, as if it’s been sitting there for a while.the lady in the cashier needs to be a little more welcoming, every time I ask her about something she makes me feel like i’m bothering her.with the right rules and proper marketing this place can go a long way but as it is right now it doesn’t seem well.although I love the food the service isn’t the best.
Ordered the chilli chicken, turns out, it's literally just chilli like the spices red chilli and green chillies only because it's flavorless, bland and just spicy and not at all flavorful. Honestly, I try many Chinese places and this has got to be on the bad side of restaurants that I'd rather not prefer.
This was my first time trying Hakka Place and the environment was very nice and very clean. Also, the staff there was amazing and friendly including the chef. The chef there makes amazing delicious food. I have ordered mix pakora, Thai lemon soup, chilli chicken gravy and Special fried rice. Everything was super delicious specially the pakora. But the rest of the food was very tasty and delicious. I will rate this place 5/5. I have tried other Hakka before but not that yummy. Would like to recommend to everyone please do try.
I am amazed with their service, the fastest and the best till date i had in Toronto. Ohh man how can i forget their delicious food with very good amount of quantity for their reasonable price. Daymm am gonna surely visit again. Thank you to the lady at the counter for her service.
Hakka noodles very average. Nothing Hakka about it. Chilli garlic chicken had no garlic flavour and had no gravy. Hot and sour soup was very watery and way too spicy. Would not order from here again.
There is one girl i dont know her name she is so rude. I ordered soup with chili chicken. She didnt gave me fork, spoon, hot sauce, not even tissues. Such a garbage service she provide. I asked not to put shrimp and later my soup had shrimp!
Absolutely love this place! I’ve never had Hakka food before and this was just amazing! The food, the price, and the service was great especially since this was my first time. I recommend the chilli chicken and crispy beef, those were sooo good!
New owner is extremely rude & inconsiderate of customers. Either hire staff or close this restaurant. Apparently its close relatives of lady who died. What a disgrace.
Anyway, food is a bit average & quality is going down because of a single chef cooking everything.
I tried the soup but its not extraordinary but rather a mixture of powdered mixed with water.
Also, sanitized is not done properly & be ready to be moved during dine in for other customers.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for time now but as of recently the restaurant fell off. As I was eating my food I seen a mouse run into the kitchen. I advised the girl at the front about the situation and she said they had it under control. Ive been told by many other this was the norm at that restaurant. I was digusted and just paid for my food and left. Service is really bad aswell.
I won't be returning to this location anymore. They lost a loyal customer. Please avoid this restaurant for your own good.
Delicious food and friendly service! The chili chicken is their most popular dish, but did you know you could also get chili chicken on french fries? It's amazing! The pakora are another specialty of Hakka food that is done right over here. Great place for vegetarian options, too.
First time trying the place and it wont be my last. The owners are so nice and accommodating. I came with my two kids who were causing a ruckus and Tiffany who works in the front was so patient and kind. The food was out of this world. Flavourful but not too spicy. They have something for just about everyone.
Best hakka food in the GTA! Servers were super friendly when we asked for recommendations and the food lived up to their hype! Crispy beef is a personal favourite!
The food was so flavourful and fresh. The customer service is so friendly that I just felt like I was eating with friends. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to try some delicious hakka food. We were also served by Tiffany, super friendly!
Awesome taste, qty and prices. It is as authentic a hakka restaurant as it can get! Everything i ordered was amazing but chicken pakora was my favorite!
Horrible place. We called before coming and asked if they have high chair and they confirmed they have. After we went there they told us that they actually don't have high chair. We have a 15 months baby with us. We had to leave. Seems like they are.so desparate to waste people's time. Sometimes you are too hungry and would just hold your baby in your lap! Probably that's what they were thinking we would do. Just waste our time. Went to a different Hakka place
I've ordered from this place for a long time, and can't belive I'm typing this. Food was bland repeatedly and its not like I'm ordering different items, my favorites are becoming bland. Also the sweet and sour soup was not made the conventional way. Sorry Hakka Palace, ordering somewhere else now.
Ordered Chicken Manchurian chowmein and told to make it spicy…really regret trying! The taste was so bland. Me being a hakka Chinese lover keeps on trying new places but this one was the worst experience so far! Never gonna order again…NOTHING LIKE HAKKA!
It's a good place but unfortunately they don't serve water we have to buy bottled water which is $1.50 each bottle. Plus the food comes in take out boxes and no serving spoons only the cutlery that is given to us to use to serve the food. All this because of covid. The food was delicious and prices were ok and it's just close to home and we can go in to eat the quantities are a lot and food was good.
Extremely Bad choice. The worst service by the lady at the cash counter. Its not an indian chinese hakka place. Flies all over table. Upon asking for pepper on side, server denied to provide it in a very rude tone. Unhygienic restaurant
Worst customer service as if they are not interested in serving customers. Rude chinese lady with a frowning face and ridiculous attitude on the counter. Very doubtful even whether the food is genuinely Halal or Not. Please dont waste your time and money at this place and better go somwhere where they respect their customers and and not rude and unauthentic.
Been coming to Hakka Palace ever since they were in business under the title Faleys. Their food quality is always consistent! Which is quite suprising for the affordable prices offered despite COVID 19
We wanted to try a new halal restaurant and Hakka Palace caught our eye. Monday evening takeout, we ordered Beef Chow Mein spicy and Manchurian Chicken over rice spicy. Overall good or decent quantity, and quality of food for the price. It was well worth a trip from downtown to Thorncliffe. If I were to be hard on my review, I would say there was a short delay in our pickup time (as we ordered on doordash) and the chow mein felt a little underwhelming. Note, this could be due to us ordering takeout and leaving the food in the car longer than we should have. The spicy hot heat level does add a kick to the food so be warned if you can't handle the heat. We love our food not so spicy, dishes were pleasant and yummy. 100% would reccomend you try out this amazing restaurant, we will be visiting again!
Two stars for quantity which is the only positive thing. All five dishes had bitter taste possibly due to using burnt oil (oil after repeated frying), Manchurian rice and noodles had too much food color but no flavor and no taste. I am an avid Hakka lover but couldn't finish half of the food and discarded all left over in garbage. Will not return and not recommended.
This is the best hakka spot in Toronto. I have been coming here for 10 years. I always regret ordering at another place after tasting real hakka food here. Best fish- always really fresh:) really great lunch options-
I went in today and Eric recommended The Chilli Chicken; it was very tastey - Thank you! To top it all off, they always give big portions. They are very kind and friendly! I couldn't recommend another Haka restaurant than Haka Palace!
