Friendly and helpful customer service. A great selection of baked goods, fresh meats and cheeses, and vegetables.
Being of Ukrainian descent I appreciate the weekly selection of homemade perogies and cabbage rolls from the Ukrainian church ladies.

I was told Halenda's had great smoked turkey, so I came in to pick one up today. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. An associate even helped me bring the turkey to my vehicle, seeing that I had my daughter in hand already. Great service!

This store and their staff are top notch! They are pleasant and attentive and their quality is unmatched by any butcher I've used.

We have shopped at Halenda, s Meats since it opened. We have never been disappointed with the quality of all their products. I can only say you will receive excellent service and I will always recommend the store.

Family started and family run this is the authentic place for meats. Stop in for the fresh perogies and you'll never go back to any others. Hot pepperoni sticks are amazing. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A perfect place to meet for the meats. Amazing service.

Best place for meat hands down! I think alot of people are under the misconception that it is expensive because it is a butcher shop but it is cheaper or just the same as any big chain grocery store. Bones in pork chops are my favourite ive never had better chops.

Tried the seafood salad for something different as I usually get macaroni salad which is great. Worse I have ever had. Meat tasted dried out even in the sauce, and pieces were very small. Took it away for holidays and threw it out after a few mouthfuls. Not even close to Halenda's usual.

I bought a whole slab of picanha and the quality was horrendous. The steak was so tough to chew that i had to throw out everything. And it wasn't my first time cooking steak. I used sou vide which produces the most tender results. Even with that, the steaks were inedible

The only Butcher worth going to in my area. Better cuts of meat than Metro! Higher grades of meat also. Never been disappointing and have been shopping here for years.

My favorite butcher shop in Durham region! Great selection of high quality meats, and they have always custom cut my steaks on the spot whenever I request it of them. Friendly staff, and I usually get asked by at least 2 or 3 people if I have been helped yet. Great customer service! Their Mohicans are fantastic (Octoberfest sausage wrapped in a pork tenderloin, wrapped in bacon) for the meat lovers!

Oshawa institution. Amazing quality and great prices. Grabbed some kabobs, always great some designer cheese also great. Maybe a sauce who knows what else. Always good just to grab. One of the Halenda's is a cottage neighbor to my salesman, seem like a very cool lot. Also my son works for their meat packaging dept or depot as it is called. Of course I am going to champion this company that I have been going to my entire life.

Just brought home the #2 HIBERNATOR aka freezer pack, The packages were packed just as I ordered very pleased. I know the product so there won’t be a problem buying this again

What a pleasant and refreshing experience. The butcher was patient and helpful in getting our beef bones cut just right. Everyone was so helpful.

I bought the petite tenders steak today at $12.99 lb. It was just a fancy name for a sirloin tip roast cut into strips, and it was tough. You're charging 'AAA' prices, for 'AA' meat at best. I won't be buying meat here ever again.

Halenda's staff are absolutely amazing! There was a mix up on New Year's Eve and the staff went out of their way on New Year's Day to help us out, I can't believe that they did, it has certainly restored my faith in customer service! Thank you Chris!

My “go to” butcher in the area.go there quite often for all my meats. I’m a big fan of smoking briskets and pork shoulder etc. And they have a great selection of this. A real meat lovers butcher.

Great staff, owner always wants customers to be happy with products. Prices good too along with the quality. Always get my roasting chickens and short ribs there.
