Dropped in for their breakfast special and was completely satisfied. Given how close this Halibut House Fish and Chips location is to my house I need to drop in more often to take advantage of their breakfast special.

Freshly cooked and piping hot. Tastes amazing as well. Price is fair for what it is, and food is cooked within reasonable time. Great restaurant.

$47: 85 for two fish and chip I will not eat there again 23 dollars for one fish and fries and it not a big one I will not go there again to expensive.

Just had a halibut on a bun looks like the 13$ special which is no frills eg tomatoes and smaller peice of fish. I just paid 20$ it's a rip off. Won't be back though

Server Winston was extremely rude, dismissive and top level argumentative. He does not listen and delivers what he wants then proceeds to argue with customers talking under his breath. We are a group of 6 friends that visit every week and spend over $150.00. He always appear to be in a bad mood and has no people skills. He walks away before the order is complete.
Its not the first time he has done this but it is getting progressively worse each time. A number of other customers shared the same bad experiences about him.
A total of 10 of us will no longer return because we don't want to have to deal with this individual any more.
Cindy is extremely polite and it is always a pleasure when we do see her but unfortunately she is not there on the weekends. Too bad because she has great customer skills. Always a smile on her face.
Hope that this situation can be rectified soon.

Surprisingly large variety of food on the menu & the fish _ chips are great and a generous portion

This lady cashier Hannah always ruins my day when I go to this restaurant to eat. She's rude and she frowns when you request for some more jetchup or napkins. She's always replying with rude comments when you describe how you want your food packed. I've been eating in this restaurant for so many years and it was such a great place with nice welcoming servicw. Now that she is there (Hannah), I can't say the sam. If I could give Zero star, I wd give, it hurts that I give her a 1 star.

My first time their! I was impressed on the cleanliness of the place. Seemed like the customers were dinning in were regular customers and they were sure loving it. I had to wait another 10 minutes until I got home to eat with the family. Needless to say it was a hard drive home.ha ha. We all loved it! It was perfect! Great job guys!

Like a the halibut house I've been too the fish and chips are always good. I've never found a bad one yet. But I've notice for portion sizes they do vary. I find the one in Port Perry and Markham road and Kingston road give really good portions. The one at Lawrence and Kingston road portions are ok

This used to be my #1 favorite place to dine (pre-covid). It was amazing then. Sadly now I would much rather do without. Seems new people took over which is the worst thing that couldve ever happened. They close way too freaking early, the price gouged everything. Staff is very "ant-social", no greeting or friendliness whatsoever. The portions have drastically decreased making the price of the meal insane. The cook (if they make the rules) is very stingy with the fries you get in your meal. When you are paying like $13 or whatever for fish & chips, Im sorry but you shouldnt be giving just like a half to 1 handful of french fries. With your prices you ought to be more generous with the portions. They even got rid the of the Pop Floats. Like Wth! I will Never eat there again

Best Halibut House location. Fresh food, good price, clean place, and Hannah is very attentive and pleasant. We'll be back!

Service here is disgusting! I can not believe I walked in with my friend and the lady aggressively starting speaking to us. Tried to persuade me from ordering what I wanted to eat like who does that! This location needs to take notes in customer service before they open their doors for business. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful

The fish & chips at this location is terrible. The fish portion is small, squared, greasy and flavourless. I asked a question about substituting the fries with a salad and was rudely told to check the menu. The Danforth Avenue location is much better. The Kingston Road location is closer to where I reside but I rather drive farther to the Danforth Avenue location. The Danforth Avenue location fish & chips (and salad) have great tasting larger portions and friendlier service.

I wish I could have given half a star, we picked up two orders of halibut fish and chips with a side of coleslaw, I will never go to that location again, the fish was dry and the fries were mushy and greasy, the coleslaw was tasteless much like eating plain raw cabbage, the worst meal I’ve ever had, I don’t recommend it. The two meals cost over $50

Great value! Fish is good portion and the barter is not overwhelming which is usually the case with fried fish - more fry than fish. Hostess was very helpful and food prepared quickly. I got the Tuesday special

Went here for the first time and ill be coming back again love this place food is good has a happy vibe everything is bright and open, does not smell like a fish and chips place smells fresh and clean.

Very disappointed. The price of what we paid to what we got was off. The serving in the images you see is the small portion which is what the special is advertised for. The full portion fish was quite skinny as well. The offers are quite miss leading.

The fish was greasy and so was the fries. Wouldn't go to that one. Others have been better.

Told on phone of a special.when we went to pick it up, special wasn't on and we had to reorder something else and WAIT (they had our phone #). Not impressed with earthy tasting, unpeeled chips and inadequate fish batter (also wonder how they grow square halibut?). Staff were difficult to understand (English was their 2nd kamguage). Frst and last time for this fish and chips shop!

We order from here on a regular basis a couple times month and the food is always very consistent. After over a year of ordering here I've never had a single issue. Our favorites are the Cod and chips and the Fish tacos. The restaurant is always very well kept and clean when we've visited. Sometimes not everyone's in the mood for fried food so it helps they actually have a fairly large menu with lots of other options. We've tired their souvlaki with rice and it was better than we expected and definitely something we would order again.

Loved the fish Tacos, and Halibut portions are large. Fries are fresh and good, real potatoes
Gave 4 stars due to be understaffed for Mothers Day 2 girls were working so hard on their own and did amazing, but could have really used some extra help due to how busy it was, so our food took quite awhile!

Always quick and nice with service, kinda bummed they had to raise the prices of specials, but it’s understandable.

Ordered ahead for take out and still had to wait 20 minutes when I arrived. Quality wasn't as good as past experiences. Fish was tough Expected better for the price.

Pretty good Fish n Chips spot. The pricing for regular fish n Chips is $$$ in my opinion but they do offer lunch specials, $10 specials (haddock and halibut) the Cod special, and my favorite the everyday $8 special (sole fish). Depending on who is cooking you may get a larger piece or bigger portion of fries which is something I looked forward to. I've gone in and some days my food is piping hot and fresh and other days my fish isn't thoroughly cooked (to my liking!) and I gotta just chuck it into the oven for a quick reheat. Anyways, the staff is pretty nice and again service is quick now seeing as it's a take out spot now.

Pretty good overall, but a little too basic. The garlic bread was literally a hot dog bun with mozzarella cheese, making it a bit chincy. Would like to see how they differentiate from other places so they become known as THE SPOT vs just another fish and chips place.

Fish was very good.not too much batter and the fries are good chunky potatoes.ordered over phone and was ready right when they said it would be.will be back!
