We do a regular trip every fall and spring and dispose off a lot of household waste.

Just want to thank Halton Waste Mgmt for picking up Leah bags and flower pots on Sunday last as they were unable to pick it up on Friday because of road work on the street. Congrats & THANX For going the extra mile.

We Found out today by calling them that Halton dump site is charging for tree branches and wood by weight per kilogram 17 cents.
We pay property taxes that includes garbage collection.
When we give them wood, Halton region is making money by selling to companies who makes mulch.
So they benefit from HALTON REGION RESIDENTS & FROM COMPANYS which is totally illegal.
Pls note most of the other regions don’t charge for tree branches and wood.
We are going to let everyone knows this illegal practice by HALTON DUMPSITE on REGIONAL ROAD.
We are so disappointed and upset.
Pls circulate this message to all residents.

Organized, attractive and efficient waste management site. Gets you in and out quickly. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Dropped off a portable air conditioning unit. Extremely easy process and cost $5! Have used the hazardous household waste many time. Great system and drop off is free! Really excellent site. Feels more like going to a park than a waste site!

Was a bulk waste day April 21,2023, they didn’t take my box spring but seemed to take all other bulk waste on my street that wasn’t wrapped in plastic either. Why? !? !? Kindly have your terms for bulk waste pickup clearly defined, we pay municipal taxes. The bulk waste icon literally shows a couch lol, box spring is waaaay lighter.
