Thank you so much I brought my guinea pig in last night to be put down they were so nice. I respected them they don’t even take guinea pigs and they were willing to help me out in a situation that I couldn’t help.

Our puppy Charlie was referred here because he ate 3 rocks. They were very professional
from the surgeon Dr. Renee to all the nurses, techs & reception people. The receptionist took the time to send me a picture of Charlie recovering at 9: 30 at night just to make me feel better. They cheerfully answered my many phone calls & were very kind. It was expensive (and Charlie and I have talked about him getting a job) BUT & this never happens, it was $300.00 less than their lowest estimate. Cannot recommend them enough!

Sadly we came here when we found our senior cat passing away one morning. We took her here and they were wonderful with us and her. They made her comfortable and allowed us to be with her as we said our goodbyes. They also made us footprint cards for us and our daughter as well as some cuts of her fur. Today (a week later) we received a sympathy card with personal messages from all the staff. They truly made one of the most awful experiences a lot easier and I'm so thankful. Especially to Lindsay who went above and beyond for us. Our old lady may be gone but I'm so glad I was able to be there with her.

HREVC is an impeccable team. Thank you to everyone who took care of my sweet girl Willow. She can be a handful, and everyone was so gracious about it an did everything they could to lessen her stress and short temper during her 5 day stay here. She was not a fan of being handled even if meds were just being put in her catheter placement, so the staff added on an extension set to her catheter so it was as minimally hands on as possible so they didn’t even have to open her cage and stress her out.
They sent me pictures overnight to ease my worries and even let me come visit her as often as i needed and didn’t make me feel like a burden at all.
All of the doctors were extremely compassionate and patient with all of my emotions and questions, and discussed ALL options. I didn't feel like they were pushy at all and they made me feel supported in everything i chose to do for little Willow.
Thank you again everyone, Willow wiggles her little tail in appreciation too. She is on the mend.

The staff here is phenomenal. I came in on a Sunday night with my kitty Pfeiffer whose paw was injured. They were great from start to finish. Kayleigh (please forgive me if I don’t have the correct spelling!) in particular was so kind and thoughtful, and gave me several updates throughout the time I was waiting because she knew I was anxious. Pfeiffer is such a nervous kitty, and she was in such great hands with the team here. Thanks to everyone at this caring and professional clinic!

We brought our puppy here after her spay incision opened and our regular vet couldn’t take her in. They provided our girl with the best care and comfort! The doctors and staff were incredible throughout this difficult time. We are so grateful we brought her to this clinic!

I brought my cat suffering from respiratory issues into these guys, and within 12 hours they told me to put my cat down due to him having a terminal condition. A terminal condition that has a life expectancy of months to YEARS.

They practically traumatized my girlfriend by telling her she needs to put our cat down immediately, that she was only prolonging his suffering.

It's been 3 months now and with a different vet and some incredibly cheap medication he's completely stable, with a good looking long term prognosis.

Basically, if you aren't ready to kill your animal, don't bring it here.

I unfortunately had to bring my cat in, very quickly he went from okay to not okay. While this was worst case scenario for me and my fur baby, this team was so empathetic and honest during this heavy time. It was very important to know he wasn’t suffering and they did their very best to do this and communicate every step of the way. Thank you.

I am so impressed with this emergency vet! The receptionist Melissa that I spoke to was so patient and understanding when I called in about my dog. When we got there my daughter was so upset and Melissa took the time to go to the back and take a video of our dog for my daughter to see that our dog was ok.
She went above and beyond and you don’t see a lot of that anymore. Thank you Melissa and the workers for not only taking care of our dog but also easing our minds that our dog was ok.

I cannot explain how fantastic the team here is. We had to drive in from Niagara with our cat last night after 2am (no local emergency vets available) and the staff here probably saved her life. They saw her quickly, the pricing was appropriate for after hours care but reasonable in my opinion and they were all so caring and attentive to not just our pet but to us as well as we were very distraught.
I wouldn’t think twice about bringing my animals here again if need be, thank you so much to everyone from the veterinarian, to the techs and office support.

Took my 2 year old male cat here as he was not urinating. Their team acted really fast, provided me with treatment options and were compassionate while providing great care to my baby. Thank you again!

Called ahead and brought my dog in because he swallowed a rib bone. After 3.5 hours of sitting on a hard plastic chair, they finally did the Xray. By that time the bone could have easily passed into his intestines and been a fatal incident. Surgery was the only option because they didn't have the right tool to snake it out through his throat. $4500 later and another 1.5 hours on the hard chair, they didn't have enough medication for him so I had to make another trip to my own vet the next day. It would have been a lot cheaper and a lot less harmful to my dog if you had the right equipment to treat him properly.

Worst Animal Hospital in Hamilton to not bring your beloved pets here. What a traumatic experience we had. Zero compassion from the vet on site. Please do not go here!

My husband and I took our precious dog of 14 years to this location when he was very ill and weak. Our dog had a heart murmur which we knew about and was not eating, drinking or acting himself for a week. Deterorating so quickly. He could not stand on his back right leg and it just slid out from under him. We attempted pain medication but did not solve the other health problems. We made the difficult decision to put him to sleep as we knew he was not doing well. This vet was so compassionate, kind and showed so much love to us. We are forever grateful for the care they showed to our fur baby and support they provide us during a most difficult decision and time.

They do not care about the animals.be prepared to wait hours for no treatment and be handed a pamphlet on end of life.
I've been twice and never again

Had to take my cat here for an emerg visit and I don't have a single complaint about the amazing team! They were very communicative even when there was a delay for a more severe emergency they informed me, kept me posted and allowed me to leave my cat to grab a coffee.

My favorite part was the fact that the vet was very open and was not pushy with any potential areas to charge more.

He is doing much better now and while I hope I don't have to bring him again any time soon I know exactly what team I will go to and will suggest further!

The team gave excellent customer service, and care for our dog. A warm beautiful bunch of people. Thank you so much.

Never again. They want to charge me 150.00 plus tax for a consult/exam.
My puppy ate a cold/sinus pill. They refused to see her unless we filed/paid 75.00 to poison control for a case number. Basically told me 300.00 to 400.00 with them. They sent us home with a list of other vets to go to.

Like WHAT? REALLY?

They got us in ASAP and it cost surprisingly little compared to other vets. Very happy with their tenderness and compassion as well. Highly recommend this place.

I'd want to thank Hamilton Region Emergency Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of my beloved cat, Maya. Maya needed to go to the clinic at midnight on a Sunday evening over the long weekend. There was nothing we could do for Maya at the time; we lost her due to blood clot. But I consider myself fortunate to have Dr.  Ali there and make the decision with him before she suffers much. I'd like to thank everyone in the clinic for remembering Maya and sending us a card later.

I am not surprised to see such a high review average for this clinic. Today this team took what was a stressful, scary and upsetting situation and did everything they could to help. They were polite, kind, patient and sympathic to my concern. Most importantly they were thorough while reveiwing my dog Eddie, and I'm confident he'll be feeling better soon. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. A few weeks ago, I woke up to my dog vomiting, and not being able to stand. I thought she had a stroke. I went to the clinic and, even though they were at full capacity, they were willing to assess my dog.

The vet came out and said she had the equivalent of vertigo - a common ailment in older dogs. She gave my pooch a shot of anti-nauseant and sent us home.

Many vets would have run a number of high priced tests costing me another several hundred if not thousands of dollars.

My pooch recovered in a few days just as the vet said, without intervention.

Dr. Tina and team, thank you for being caring, compassionate, an expert in your field and for showing a high ethical standard. This is the kind of care that all clinics should provide, but seems to be a rarity these days.

A HUGE thank you for taking in my cat last minute, after having a horrible experience and wait time at another vet clinic. They were able to see my cat and provide the necessary surgery that same night. Keep in mind that the cost will be on the higher end of the quote.

Emergency you pay the price.

Full examination with Gabapentin prescribed (helped so much) and 2 cans of their wet dog food was $270.
The food helped to hide the pill and worked great!

My dog couldn't jump on couch amymore and always laid on the floor for a few days and couldn't wag his tail. NOT LIKE HIM. He goes 180% always. Till I took him to the Emergency Vet Clinic.

Still have to do follow up with Vet.

Recently I had to lay my sweet kitty to rest. I have to say, the entire staff were kind, compassionate and attentive. The quality of care is top notch, the staff is knowledgeable and more than willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. You can tell their passion is vet medicine by the way they treat your pets as if they are their own.

Super friendly doctor, explained everything what seemed to be wrong with my cat. Honest and trustworthy. Explained the expenses and what was covered so no un expected surprises.
The only thing I would improve on is how they communicate with filling consent forms and sending estimates.
I was sent 2 separate emails with the information I was waiting for and no one called me to say they sent an email. I only check emails in am and after-dinner. So it was too late to get in to see them. Other than that I like their COVID proticals.

Where do I start? I made a phone call to this clinic after driving around from St Catharines trying to find someone to look at my dying kitten. When I spoke to the young lady on the phone she was very sympathetic. They took her right away and made me feel at ease. Thank you so much. Pocahontas is doing much better. She is a true fighter and back to her playfulness.

My dog has a broken jaw. My son brought my dog on and the vet lied stating my son was abusive. My son is very passive. All my son said to the vet wS that the vet needed to talkto hismom. The vet debated it, challenging my son as to why he needed to inform the mom.they refused to service my dog. They refuse to give the vets name. I would not

All the staff here are amazing, kind, they even sent me pictures of my little baby being cuddled by them. The doctors (Dr. Ale and Emma) were great, they explained all the options and the costs, and even tried to get costs reduced for me. All the technicians were so kind (special shoutout to Lindsay and a young man I don't know the name of) and all were very helpful. Front desk staff as well. Great emergency clinic in my experience.

I took a newborn puppy to this clinic at 9am because it was not doing well. The clinic called me after 5-10 minutes and said the pup would not make it because of a bad heart ️. I was given the deceased pup back in a pouch and a bill for $437.00. My new vet charges $120 for an emergency visit!

Amazing care of our dogs always. We have found ourself here numerous times over the last few years with our dogs and the staff are always so kind and so caring towards our animals and towards us humans. 5 stars/borks in any pet emergency.

Just recently I had an emergency happening with Church, my cat. He looked very sick. I had to take him here because all the other hospitals were booked up. Anyways the vet seen him and the diagnosis was cancer. I had to put him down because of his old age. Even after healing him he wouldn't have made it. So I got them to do it. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They made us very comfortable. They comforted me during this bad time and I was very thankful. I would like to thank the staff at Hamilton Regional Pet Hospital for everything that they have done for Church and myself. Church is now playing with all of the other cats in a better place! You guys are awesome! In loving memory!

Amazing staff! Knowlegeable, kind, caring and honest. Even sent picture updates of our dog that spent the night there. Felt totally comfortable knowing he is in good hands. Definitely recommend!

We took my cat to this clinic late one night due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, he had been sick with a heart condition and took a turn for the worst. We had to let him go that night. The staff was excellent - so caring, rushed him back to examine him and administer pain meds making him as comfortable possible. Such a great team, and they even sent us a condolence card in the mail a couple weeks later. Above and beyond with the level of compassion shown during a very difficult time. We thank them so very much.

My dog started having allergic reaction for unknown reasons late on a Saturday evening and her face started to swell up in front of my eyes.

I called every emergency Vet hospital in GTA and beyond and the only one that took us in within 30-40 minutes from time of the call was Hamilton Regional Emergency Veterinary Clinic. Not to mention they are one of the few Emergency Vet Clinics that are open 24/7 on the weekends, during the time when most are closed. Not to mention they offer a payment plan for those unexpected emergency costs that most pet owners aren’t ready for or have insurance coverage.

They were quick to attend to my dog’s allergic reaction from time of her intake to release was 1.5 hrs (4lbs dog who’s allergic reaction could have been fatal) The Vet on duty provided my dog with the best care we received in a Vet’s office in a long time. They were more than reasonably priced as well and the Vet seemed very attentive and asked numerous questions about my dog’s diet, health history and more.

I saw them care for 4 more animals during the time we waited for my dog’s recovery and update from the Vet, who was just super pleasant to speak to and showed a lot of love and empathy for the animals she looked after. I am extremely grateful to her for looking after my fur baby and making her feel better in no time.

I would highly recommend everyone who loves their fur babies, who had an unfortunate matter to deal with to call this Clinic for any and all emergencies.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I brought my cat here, hoping for the best possible care for my cat, Stewie. Instead, my cat received a huge wound on his abdomen, that was’t there when I brought him in. This then required an additional surgery, at another veterinary clinic. Dr. Middleton butchered my cat, Stewie. He also included Meticam as a treatment for my cat, which caused kidney failure in my beloved cat. Beware of bringing your beloved pet in this clinic. My experience has been devastating with this clinic. If you love your pet, take your pet to the Royal York Animal Clinic in Etobicoke; they are the best clinic and treat pets with love and compassion. Stay away from from Dr. Middleton and the Hamilton Emergency Veterinary Clinic - I wish I did.

Brought my kitty here that I had for 16 yrs… she was hurting and on her last days, The vet, Dr. Codrington, was very empathetic as well as his staff when I made the decision to put her down. The staff was also great in this difficult time, thank you for being awesome. ️ Wish you were closer to where I live cause I would make a change.still have a dog, chameleon, tarantula, 2 rats and a fish … you should get another office in the east end!

The folks here were very nice. My dog ate a bunch of chocolate cake and they got him all fixed up

Story about my dog KoKo she had to get surgery to assist puppy out and to get her fixed, they explain what to do what not to do and there a call away and open 24/7 there line! They where lovely and they where very patient and understanding! My KoKo is healed god bless them for saving her

I brought my sweet Kayo here 9 days ago. I had spent the entire night up with him; poor guy couldn't get comfortable, had laboured breathing and was lethargic. I was extremely worried as he was being treated for a condition like dog anemia, basically. His blood platelets had gone down to a serious reading of 45 in late November when the normal range should be at 148, at a minimum. In the 1st week of treatment he bounced from a 45 to 102 - we were elated, but, as warned by my family vet at Headon Forest Animal Hospital, it might be short-lived. A week later, he was 103. Right direction, but not ideal, jumping only 1 point. Checked again 2 weeks after that: 113. Again, cause to celebrate but still precautionary. Then the night of January 4th happened, bringing us here to Hamilton Region Emergency Veterinary Clinu at 7: 30am. The staff were amazing here: kind, respectful, patient and accommodating. I made the humane decision to put him to sleep after only rescuing him from Iran 2 short months ago. It's incredible the love generated in such a short time for these poor souls.
He went peacefully asleep in their care while I held his paw and stroked his head. He was in so much discomfort but they took great care of him. I will miss him forever. So will all his previous rescue mommas from Iran.

My dog was very ill. They made room for him to be seen right away. And took the best care of him. I believe I still have my dog today because of their amazing care. A vet assistant sat with my dog for hours trying to calm him and his heart rate. The vet was very respectful of my financial situation as well. I definitely could not have asked for better service and care for my dog. Thank you to everyone who works here!

Three months ago my dog wasn't feeling well. We spoke over the phone and the staff were so helpful and suggested we bring him in. They took my dog in right away, assessed him quickly and got back to us.
Even though we had to make the hard decision to put him down, they let us have our time with him and everyone was amazing and very comforting.

This was truly a terrible experience from start to finish. After calling the clinic to find out how to best help my puppy I was given a phone number for poison control and told to take the pup to the nearest clinic if the toxicologist advises she needs medical care. Great. I followed the instructions to a tee. Called the poison control line, got a case number then headed for the clinic. The part I was very quickly told I did wrong was that I did not call the emergency clinic back afterwards to see if they could take us. I guess was supposed to read between the lines there, even after being told by the toxicologist 'take her to the nearest clinic now'. In any event, the lady was very upset with me for not understanding, advised us they were at capacity and that it would be a very long wait. I was in tears at that point and had this woman shown even an ounce of compassion or understanding (or even acknowledging the shivering dog in my arms) I think things MAY have been ok. She did not. I then said something I should not have (hindsight being 20/20). I simply said something to the effect of so you can't take her and she dies, what then. Obviously I was distraught and it would be VERY rare for me to say something so strong under any other circumstance. To that she rolled her eyes and mumbled something about checking with the vet. She did. It come back out. I can only assume she went inside and had a coworker take over. She started with a super chipper 'hey guys' which I assume was meant to de-escalate tension. It did.for a moment. We could've done just fine speaking with her. UNTIL she brought up the Healthy Workplace Abusive Behaviour policy. She said they would not tolerate me yelling at their staff.which I most definitely wasn't! At that point I had endured WAY more than I could deal with. As she was proposing some sort of plan involving coming to che knob us in 5 minutes, I broke down again and turned away. At that point she said 'ok you need to go somewhere else' WOW! Total gong show! We went to Burlington (who the Hamilton clinic had already advised us was totally full l) and they took us in with open arms. Their immediate concern was for the welfare of the puppy and not protocol breaches! I would like to think that perhaps I just caught the wrong employees on the wrong night, but I won't be going back there EVER to find out. Zero stars. Minus 1 if I could. I see that there are many others who had bad reviews I'd this location also. Steer clear! There are lots of other places who haven't forgotten the humanity and emotion involved in these situations. Extremely unprofessional!

I was trying to get my cat seen for almost a week while she progressively got worse. They said “we will not take her until she is critical” well anyways I called around to vets across Ontario, just for the same result. Every time I called explaining my cat is becoming lethargic they said we won’t take a non ill cat and hung up. Eventually they stopped answering my calls. I wasn’t being rude I needed my cat seen. Very unprofessional and very rude staff

Sadly had our girl Lola put to rest. All of the staff I had come into contact with were more than kind. Professional walking me through the entire process, and very compassionate. I'm glad that her final moments were at peace, with people who knew how to handle a girl like her. Thanks guys.

The vets, vet techs and everyone else who work here are absolutely amazing and are so compassionate towards their patients and animal parents. Due to covid we aren’t allowed to enter the building but they called multiple times to explain what was going on and were very clear about prices before doing anything. They can be very busy so call ahead to get the process started before you arrive. Thank you for taking such good care of Linda. The meds provided seemed to have stopped her seizures.

I use to go to Beattie's which I will never do again. Hamilton regional vet staff treat the animals as if they were their own. I can't say enough how amazing all the staff are. I had to put my lab Charlie down and the staff made a horrible time not so horrible. I have a new vet now and I would recommend them to everyone looking for a new vet

We took our cat here when all the emergency vet clinics in our area had 9+ hour wait times. Within 30 mins of arriving, our cat had already been assessed by a vet tech and deemed stable. The vet saw him a few hours later (there were several critical care patients that required her immediate attention). He needed some x rays and blood work, and the vet worked with us to figure out what the best course of action was. She was incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this clinic!

What a joke tried to tell me my dog needed a 10k surgery to find out from my vet he was poisoned and treating him was about 100$ they need to be shut down

Our emergency question was answered over the phone quickly and we were given helpful information re: monitoring and next steps. No visit was required. Thank you for the late night help!

We were looking after our daughter's 4 month old cockapoo (Reggie) and he accidentally swallowed a Tylenol PM. We were able to get an appointment right away and had to do 3 visits and on each visit the staff was amazing - from the receptionist to the technicians to the doctor - everyone took the time and care to help us through this stressful time.

Dr. McLoughlin was outstanding, even working on her day off to get us blood work results from home. Reggie has now received a clean bill of health and my wife Cathy and I cannot say enough about how well we, as well as Reggie, were treated.

Hats off to an amazing team - highly, highly recommend!

We brought our cat in for a urinary obstruction. Despite being very busy they got him in right away and called us with the diagnosis. They treated him and took the best care of him for almost a week. It was clear that all the staff absolutely love animals and take the best care possible of them. Our baby Kevin did not make it, but it was for no lack of trying.

Showed up with a kitten experiencing cardiac issues. No dr was in so waisted precious time going there to seek help. I get with covid everyone is over worked and everything is under staffed. Don't advertise 24/7 if you are not in fact those hours. Time is of the essence when dealing with cardiac issues and because of the false advertising I wasted that precious time driving there rather then to an emergency clinic who had a dr. Don't trust the advertising of 24/7

Very rude and unhelpful. My dog was suddenly very sick. I called in a panic at 8pm and the girl was snippy and there was no vet over night! What is an emergency vet with no vet!
Ps this is the 3rd i called not available to help in a emergency

Had to take my cat there on emergency basis and unfortunately had to make that awful decision to euthanize my cat. Staff were kind and compassionate. The doctor seemed a bit in a hurry to leave but I believe it was also a long day for them.

The staff is amazing! They helped keep us calm and up to date with what was happening with our dog and made sure our dog was comfortable at all times, I would highly recommend!

Out 6 month old doberman had an accident and was bleeding profusely. The staff were very attentive and fast and even brought out wipes and paper towels for my boyfriend and I to clean ourselves up a bit as we were covered in his blood. We were very shaken up and they gave us continuous updates regarding his care. Thank you so much!

They got the job done and ultimately saved my cat’s life, however, they gave me a very high quote and left me in the room to consider whether I could afford to save my pet. Only after me making middle of the night calls to family members and the bank trying to scramble together money that I didn’t have did they finally tell me that there were many ways to shave down the costs to half of the original quote and that we could do a payment plan.

Keep asking same question and making me repeat over and over again when I call them… Yes I do have accent. Only choose them because they are the only vet open on Sunday

The staff here is amazing! They are all passionate and caring and go above and beyond to make our animals feel at home when they are not feeling well. The vets and team are always updating us to keep us in the loop. I highly recommend!

The people there are so caring and attentive even to the owners. They understand the needs of the pet but also the owners. They don’t ouch for one way of doing things they give all options and explain each one. I will go back if needed.

Thank you so much for doing the surgery for my cat so well! He ate a piece of fabric and I really appreciate how doctors and staff treated the situation. They tried some options to push it out naturally but at the end, instead of charging me even more and getting nowhere, they advised to do a surgery. They updated me on each step of the process, called me when I asked them to let me know when the surgery is done even though it was through the night. They had no problem answering all my questions. Also, really appreciate that the receptionist sent me a picture of my cat. He stayed at the hospital for 3 nights and I was very worried about him, so she offered that which made me feel so much better. Happy that he is safe now!

When my cat suddenly got sick my vet recommended this clinic. They are hands down the best emergency vet. Sadly my cat had to be put to sleep but they were so compassionate and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better team in such a hard time

As any pet owner knows, our pets cannot tell us what is wrong, what horrible thing they ate, or why the are suddenly short of breath at 3: 00 in the morning. This clinic has helped our dogs twice.

Once, one of our foster dogs was having trouble breathing shortly after she arrived. This clinic was able to diagnose the problem (collapsed trachea) and provide what she needed (oxygen and various medicines). With follow up treatment from our own vet, the foster has stabilized and she is thriving. Without the emergency clinic though, I do not believe this dog would have survived the night.

In another visit, one of our dogs had a swollen-shut eye that turned out to be a mild infection. The clinic was able to help him in short order and he made a full recovery.

The cost of these services was very reasonable and everyone at the clinic that we dealt with was professional, friendly, and helpful, which is really good when I am trying to get the help my dogs need during these emergencies. The follow up was good too as all records were forwarded to our regular vet. While I hope no one's pets need to use the services of this clinic, I am very grateful that these services are available.

So compassionate and caring. Sat on the phone with us for over 15 minutes so they really give you their time. Even though our cat didn't make it, I am happy we got to see him and say goodbye

Had to bring my cat for some digestive issues. They were very helpful on the phone to decide whether he would need a emergency visit or not. Everyone at the clinic was very professional, friendly and caring! Definitely recommend it!

The staff here are very professional, and extremely empathetic when it comes to putting down your animal. I was given time with my cat before and after he was "put to sleep". They made this very personal. Thank you!

I had to bring my dog here due to some digestive issues that were causing some immediate concern. They were absolutely wonderful. Very caring staff. Very comforting and informative through the entire process. The vet called and spoke to us multiple times to give us status updates while we waited on the x-ray results. She was very open about costs and options and offered professional and ethical opinions on what factors to consider with our dog's personal situation.
I was thrilled to bring my girl home with the best possible outcome (no blockage.no surgery needed) however very comforted knowing that should surgery have been something we needed to proceed with.that our furry one was in great hands!
I would refer this clinic to anyone in the Hamilton area over and over again!
Price was totally reasonable and the care was 10/10!

We rushed our Cat to HREV around 4am as she was having some kind of seizure. The vets responded immediately and did their best for our little Lex, but couldn't save her. They said they did all they could but it was too late. She passed away. The staff where very professional and compassionate as they stood outside in the freezing cold with us (due to covid) to allow us one more goodbye. They sent us a card a few days later signed by everyone who works there. A very kind gesture and very much appreciated in these sad times for us. I recommend them based on there kindness and support. I eventually had to have my 11 year old cat put down. So very upsetting. I wish I would have done it here. I so regret bringing him to Binbrook Animal Hospital for the procedure.which was painful for my cat having a syringe forced in his paw. The HREVC (Hamilton Regional Emergency Veterinary Clinic) was the place who did treat my cat with love and respect.much, much more then the two previous vets I had taken him too (Binbrook and Beattie pet Hospital). HREVC staff were professional yet truly caring and knew what to do. This is the best animal clinic I visited in Hamilton. The two times that I was there with my cat I watched the clinic respond to a number of emergencies.while I waited in the car. I was really impressed with their knowledge and compassion. They staff really care about the animals.

We brought our dog there for end of life care and this vet was very attentive and compassionate for the entire experience, and I didn't get the vets name but it was a younger lady and she was so sweet and caring. I am so thankful I brought my little dog here they went above and beyond to make her last moments as comfortable as possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you did

Very impressed with the care and service provided by this clinic. I had to bring my cat Ozzy in twice for emergency visits while his regular clinic was closed. The reception staff were so kind and understanding, we were able to get Ozzy in quickly, and all of the doctors who saw him over those two visits were very honest, compassionate, and did a great job talking us through concerns, treatments, updates, etc. Thank you so much to all the amazing receptionists, assistants, technicians, and doctors!

Good service, they accepted my cat right away when I thought there was trouble. I wish the wait time was more disclosed though- I ended up standing outside in the snow for hours waiting for nurses to come out and update me, since I dont have a car. So keep in mind there's no where to sit around, and closest tims is 15ish min of walk. They definitely helped me as much as they could and I'm grateful they helped my feline during a very hard time.
My cat most likely wouldn't have made it through the night if their services weren't open/there.

We are so grateful for the care our black lab Sammy received at Hamilton Regional Emergency Veterinary Clinic. After getting into a little bag of raisins, our girl had to spend two nights for IV fluids and close monitoring. The staff were so helpful and kept us updated on Sammy's condition, making us feel more at ease during a very stressful time. Sammy is now back at home with us, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to the staff at Hamilton Regional Emergency Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of our baby girl!

As other comments have mentioned, the staff here are as professional as they come, with their professionalism only dwarfed in magnitude by the size of their hearts.

Brought my 1-year old cat in some days ago due to him unexpectedly becoming lethargic for several days, hiding from me, not eating, throwing up constantly and eventually crying in pain. They were quickly able to diagnose that the cat had a urinary blockage and that his bladder was likely to have ruptured in the coming day; this case was severe, likely since I had connected the symptoms too late.

I could not afford to fully pay the estimate that the care would cost right away. Without going into more detail, I will say that the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I got my cat back healthy - regardless of my circumstances - and did so with the utmost respect, empathy and patience.

The staff were fantastic. Dr. Watson and Dan were both very compassionate and professional, which I appreciated at a difficult time.

5 stars all around. My dog suddenly got very sick and declined completely over a 4 day period. The staff/vets worked for 2 days straight running tests to figure out what was wrong, instead of giving up on her. Unfortunately she had to be put down. In the end they worked with me to figure out payment options. They were very VERY kind and sweet the entire time. Very empathetic & caring. I really appreciate everything they did for me. Thank you all, can’t wait until I get my fur babies footprint!

My experience and that of my cat at Hamilton Emergency Veterinary was positive. Dr. Forbes explained the examination, diagnosis, and prescription, in good, easy to understand words. I came away as a well informed pet owner. The record was faxed to my vet promptly. Great staff. I am satisfied.

I can’t thank Dr Julie G and her amazing staff, this past weekend. Though we are heart broken, as we had to say goodbye, to our sweet Oliver, the staff was beyond comforting and so supportive! These people were fantastic. I went there because my dog tore his dew claw while playing with my other dog. This was on Christmas eve and during Covid so it was busy. I could not go in with my dog so he was super stressed out, so they fixed him up right away so not to cause him anymore undue stress. I really appreciated that and I highly recommend you take your animals here if you have an emergency.

Had to take my dog there tonight for an emergency. Staff was excellent and up front about the expected costs. Things turned out better then expected which made things cheaper too. I appreciate the honesty but more importantly I appreciate them taking care of my little one so well! Thank you!
