Doctor is really nice, receception is ridiculous.

Had an appointment at the hospital, show up for the appointment, wait a half hour and no one comes out. I call them to find out what the wait is. I'm told my appointment was canceled and rescheduled and that someone called. No one called me. When I told them this, they said the comment on my file said my phone line was busy. I have a cell phone. I was not on the phone, and when was the last time you got a busy signal, and if you get a busy signal the right thing to do it call back. I can prove the only phonecall made today was to call them. Instead they send me an email, saying a new appointment had been booked for September. No where in the email does it say my appointment was canceled. I thought they were just scheduling my next follow up. Called it a joke and hung up on them. Had to pay for parking too. I gave 4 stars because the doctor is really nice. Their reception just needs more training.

This was a horrible experience for my 80 yr-old mother. The mattress was so uncomfortable and hard that even her shoulders became painful if she tried to lie on either side.
The after-care has been awful as well. She is not able to do a virtual follow-up appointment and I could not believe how difficult it was trying to schedule an in-person appointment for her. Eventually I was able to and it was rescheduled twice. I just got off the phone with the Cambridge clinic to confirm her appointment this coming Monday and they did not even have her down. Apparently it was also rescheduled although I was reading this appointment time directly off an email they sent me. It has now been postponed/rescheduled once again to next month. I honestly believe that the doctor can’t be bothered doing in-person appointments because he makes just as much money doing virtual appointments while sitting in the comfort of his own home.
I would never ever recommend this clinic to anyone. The lack of professionalism is just staggering!

Great experience. The gentleman who was overseeing my sleep was very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered any question I had, no matter how silly. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be with all the wires. Easy to find and free parking.

Scheduled an appointment for 11 am, with a request to arrive 15 minutes early, but it's now 11: 45, and I'm still waiting to see the doctor. Waiting for an hour is unacceptable.

Long story. The basic is I had an appointment over video which technology failed. They wanted to reschedule another but I requested an in person appointment which was scheduled for months later. A few weeks before my appointment they called to reschedule my appointment for the same day just later, which I agreed. They said they would send an email to confirm. Few more days go by and got a voice mail asking me to confirm then shortly after I got the email. So I replied to the email and called the number attached to it. Like most companies now you have to navigate through a directory and still don't talk to a human, so I left my name and number. The day comes and I go to my appointment and the receptionist said that my appointment was canceled because I didn't confirm. Instead of losing my cool I just walked away. I was nervous about doing a sleep test. The sleep disorder clinic got me in quickly. Upon arriving the staff and doctor were amazing and made me feel at home. Facilities are very clean and a private room. I actually had one of my better sleeps that night. I have not got my results at this time but I highly recommend this clinic. Parking is free and there's lots of room and well lit lot. I highly recommend this clinic.

Attendant was good hearted & friendly.but. I had brought donuts for self and other participants and handed them over when I arrived saying "these are for all of us". She took them away saying "aww, how nice! " but none of us ever saw a donut. Guess 5 staff ate 12 donuts.lol. Had an issue with the doctor missing my follow up Zoom call today & a rather rude auto email, but reception called to apologize and confirmed my rebooking. So a bit backwards and not terribly insightful, but the staff give an honest effort so. 5 stars.

The Sleep doctor cancelled my driver license with out even telling me. Eventually, I got pulled over by a cop. Had a huge fine and had my vehicle towed away.
My advice to everyone. Pay attention to what you say. I won't be able to drive in this province ever again.
Having my driving privileges taken, had a negative impact on my life, my family and my economy.

My first appt, I had made arrangement for late arrival. I was there 10 minutes before my arranged time and rang the bell as instructed and waited and waited… rang again, and waited again for ten minutes. In the meantime, I’m outside at 9: 30 at night in a parking lot getting bit by mosquitos. I left and went home. They apologized and rebooked. They need to clean their sheets better because they stunk like they’d been on the bed for a year! Why is there stinky carpet in the rooms? I couldn’t sleep because every time I laid my head on the pillow, that nasty smell turned my stomach. They might have about 1 hour of study because I couldn’t sleep in that place! Couldn’t wait to get home to shower and ended up taking the day off of work because I was so exhausted! If I ever had to do this again, I would definitely go to the hospital to have it done. At least everything is cleaned there!

Response to your response… I can guarantee that the sheets on that bed hadn’t been recently washed and if they were, you need to change whatever detergent you are using. It was nasty!

I had to do an overnight and daytime study here and the staff were SO WONDERFUL. They were incredibly patient with me (I struggled a lot with the evening study) and went above and beyond to make a tough experience as tolerable as possible. Both technicians were calming and it’s easy to see that they care about patient welfare - both physical and mental. Thank you!

I had a misunderstanding with the confirmation of my appointment and today it was rectified. I appreciate the handling of the situation.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Dove. I am not one for visiting doctors. I was very impressed with Dr. Dove. Excellent exam and great communication. I was asked if it was ok to have a medical student part of exam. No problem. Have to learn.
Visit was great!

Received notification of my appointment back in August, called to confirm as soon as the notice arrived in the mail.
On November the 6th I arrived at the clinic before the arranged time of 9pm only to be told that they did not have a bed for me using the excuse that I did not call or should have called back a second time a week before the said appointment time. Unable/ unwilling to admit there mistake the staff on duty promised I would receive a call back the next day to arrange a another appointment as early as possible.
Meanwhile I week later I find myself waking up in the middle of the night unable to catch my breath and nearly choking to death.
The staff at this clinic do not care, they will tell you that they do but evidently they don't. I feel very dispointed and worried about my future health. Very sad.

Had to pay fines, tow truck and cab expenses just to be able to go back home. My advice to everyone. Pay attention to what you say.

Typically I would not post until I actually had the sleep study but I felt praise was due. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the staff, the speediness of me getting in and the adaptability of scheduling since I have had to reschedule several times due to stuff on my end. The doctor was thorough, caring, and professional. I have had a sleep study before and I remember the place was frightening but when I saw this office I was pleased and look forward to my sleep study.

Honestly, I cant believe the Government of Ontario gives this place money. It was dirty and ALL staff was rude. Wish I got referred to any other clinic

My experience was definitely eye opening. I had no idea what the prep for sleep test involved. Great techinicians but lousy beds. My back was messed up for weeks after sleeping there one night. Invest in better beds and pillows.

I was diagnosed through Dr. Gottschalk and his clinic at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in September of 2012. It changed my life and in fact.gave me mine back! Everything happened VERY quickly from my referral to becoming the proud owner of my own CPAP machine, which I have used faithfully every night, or nap since, at home or away. The technician was friendly and extremely knowledgeable and educated me on what was going to be looked for while I was wired up. As for the hair gel.when I got home I took the time to shampoo each little spot out first before I washed my hair.no issues at all! Thanks again for doing what you do! One of the doctor's assistant ladies is a real passive aggressive weirdo. I wonder how many people she's mistreated over the years? The overnight technicians don't really know what they're doing, they just hook you up to equipment, like that movie Repo Men. The therapy works well.

The gel that they used for the cords ripped out big sections of my hair, This place is seriously the worst I would recommend just never sleeping or to chocking and dying in your sleep over there service.
