Hampton Inn by Hilton Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada

If you ever stay here, do not accept a room in the basement. I did and had snow in my room from the moment I walked through the door to go inside the room. We never opened the door and still had lots of snow coming in. The room was freezing the whole time because the heater would not go higher than 72°F. When we told front dest, the lady was very rude and said that it was our fault. She did not even seem surprised to hear this, nor did she offer us a different room. We had to tell her that we needed a new room even though she tried to make us stay there and said it couldn't be that bad. In the summer, there must be bugs and snakes that come in those rooms (13,14,15). Overall, very rude workers and terrible service.

Well it was okay and quiet, I came from out of town to visit with my kids, as I work by thunderbay I was looking forward to a relaxing time in the pool with my kids. I spent two nights it was alright breakfast was a bonus for the kids.

It's a nice hotel in a very main & nice location. They have typical rooms but tidy & clean. The only one problem with these hotels and all of them are that you are paying over 200$ for a night and they can not put one or two water bottles in the fridge for you. The breakfast was fresh, and the egg cheese was my favorite

Big city hotel feel you don't usually get in small northern towns. Clean, comfortable place to stay.

Definitely a far drive from Ottawa but the hotel was a great experience. Staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. Free parking and comes with breakfast. Hotel price was reasonable

Who knew that the one hotel in Elliot Lake would be such a gem? Excellent rooms, really lovely staff, more tasty choices at breakfast than I could eat in one sitting. Thank you!

Clean rooms, lots of parking.

They have an amazing hike trail that is right behind the hotel and it circles around a small lake.

Breakfast spread could use some improvement

Overall a good 2 night stay.

The service was horrible. Right when we walked in, there was a worker there that didn’t even know how to check a guest in. She had us leave and come back an hour later so someone else could do it. After we got in, we went down to ask them to call us a cab. She proceeded to look at us as if we were dumb and said “uh I guess so” and rolled her eyes. Our room was never cleaned and towels were never restocked. We were on the third floor waiting for the elevator. The front desk lady saw us, asked if we were using the elevator. We said yes and then she said “oh. I will be taking the stairs then”. Such a bad experience. Would never go back.

Rooms are spacious. I had a room overlooking the river.
Easy access.right on highway 108 in Elliot Lake.
If u are ever in the area, this is the only place to stay. Don't even look anywhere else.

Stayed for a weekend of skiing with 4 of our kids. Ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful. Rooms were well maintained and clean. Breakfast that was included had fresh and tasty options, eating area was well maintained. The woman who worked there was very helpful.

Room for 2 of us was $205+. Thinking it was a Hilton it would have been nicer than it was. The washroom was in rough condition. There was black mold in the caulking around the bathtub, and our sink was clogged and would not drain. Quite a bit overpriced for what it was. We won't be back. There was also zero meat in the included breakfast with we found odd.
