I had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend Han Ba Tang to anyone looking for a fun night out with great food and drinks. Five stars all around!

Always a good time when coming here. The owner is super friendly and nice. Prices are fair and the ambience is nice.

Best Korean bar experience in north York region it gets super packed at night on busier weekdays including Friday nights even when the weather is super cold and snowy but people are vibing. Dont think twice go for it

The white wine sangaria is one the best I’ve had and the food from here was one also one of the best Korean food I’ve had!

Great place to hang out! Music is not too loud, vibes are good and drinks are not too expensive.

Everything was good from start to finish!
The staff was friendly and attentive, and answered our questions well.

We ordered a creme truffle teokboki, small original jokbal, sapporo and bada cocktail.
The food was great, I really liked the two mains. It’d be nice if we got more lettuce for jokbal however.

Great food and service! We got the original jokbal set and the seafood panjeon. First time trying makguli and I really enjoyed drinking from a gold metal bowl, it was very authentic. Wished there were more things on the menu.

Han Ba Tang is perfect for a girls night out! Went here with my girlfriends after dinner and the ambience was amazing and fun. We tried their kimchi friends (was super yummy, especially the sauce!) And shared a 2L pitcher of red sangria! It was so fruity and refreshing! Even amongst the 4 of us, we had so much sangria go around!

Been there twice, food is definitely great! Kimchi fries were so good! Easy to share with two people and it was so crispy. We also tried the seafood pancake which was definitely great and had plenty of flavor. The woaw buns were great too, but fairly small unfortunately.

For drinks, we had sangria, strawberry inception, Bada, and clean cut.

The first two drinks were super delicious and would definitely order again. The last two.were subpar and would not recommend ordering as the flavour was off.

As for service, it is slow at the beginning. We have to flag them down to get our order in. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad, not too impressed by it.

Music is very loud though, even for the bar feeling.

Overall, would recommend!

We went to Han Ba Tang on a late night weekday and it was pretty busy and loud inside since a lot of people were drinking. They have a great selection of alcohol, but we didn’t get any this time.

We got a few snacks to share. First, we got the chicken wings (Honey Garlic) and fries ($16). The wings were so crispy and juicy, highly recommend, and the fries were similar to Costco ones, so they were delicious too.

Next, we got the Truffle Creamy rice cake ($18), it had truffle oil, bacon, mushroom, shrimp and broccoli. The sauce was very creamy and had a lot of flavour, a good option for those that can’t eat spicy.

Lastly, we got the seafood pancake ($13 on Thursdays, but normally it’s $16). We think that it tastes better with the sweet soya sauce, it has a lot of seafood inside.

Overall, the food portions were decently big. The food was flavourful and the waiters were kind. We would definitely come back to try other food!

My new fav neighbourhood place! Wow what a great random find. I had the most spectacular red wine sangria and life-changing carbonara rice cakes - what? ! Soft delicate rice cakes in a creamy garlic decadent sauce with mushrooms and broccoli - where do I get my customer-for-life card? They are going to have a hard time getting rid of me…

The portion of the food are very big. It was $42 for the big dish we ordered in the picture. The drinks are also delicious. There are 2 hours limits for seating at weekends. Generally, I like this place. Very affordable and good vibe. But the music is kind of loud. We couldn’t talk much.

Went last night for the first time in a long time. Always loved this place. They do amazing fusion Korean food. Traditional korean with a lil north American twist.
I use to always get the Korean tacos but they now do bao's, we got the pork belly & they were so good. Had to get the kimchi fries because they are the star of the show.
Highly recommend this spot, their drink specials (every day of the week) are really good.

Service is always friendly & efficient

Used to be a go to place for me pre pandemic but recently suggested by some friends to check it out now that we’re all vaccinated. Needless to say the food quality is still great however they’ve taken some steps back when it comes to quantity and pricing.

Ordered take out for pick up and everyone loved it. It was our first time trying korean jokbal. The skin and meat are super delicious; combined with the sides wrapped in lettuce, it was perfect! We also got the seafood pancake, spicy rice cake, and truffle cream rice cake which were all decent.

Really good quality of food and a variety of drinks to enjoy. Although quite simple, their steamed rice balls are a favorite of mine

Homely place with a great vibe and friendly staff. Excellent spot for casual drinking with a small to medium sized group.

Amazing staff, service, and taste.
If you are ordering a spicy jokbal, and you can handle buldak noodles just fine, then choose the third spicy level because level two was mild for me.

We got their Combo A which comes with pork hocks “Jokbal”, and a side dish (we chose Spicy Noodles “Mak Guksu”). Their Spicy Jokbal was so flavourful, came with meaty pork hock and tender skin that was packed with collagen! Level 1 spicy was perfect for us, and the portions were incredible for the price. Their Spicy Noodles was also very delicious, it came with a spicy-ish sweet sauce that mixed with buckwheat noodles, shredded cabbage and lettuce. Jokbal and Mak Guksu is such a delicious combo!

Ordered spicy jokbal and chicken feet combo with level 1 spicy. Everything was so perfect. Definitely going back.

Everything was well-packaged and the staff was friendly! I think this place serves the best 족발 (jokbal) in town:) I'm usually sensitive to the smell but I decided to give it a try after my family suggested. It turned out to be much better than the ones I had before! I also really appreciate how they took the time to provide detailed instructions (shown on the container) as to how to fully enjoy their dishes!

Ordered the combo deal, shared with two of my roomies (all girls). Large portion for the buck, we all liked it. Just as good or even better than the jokbal I had when I visited Korea years ago. I was very disappointed all the jokbal I could find in Toronto was sold cold a couple years ago. I think it's best when it's served warm so I'm glad I found this place. Takeout ordered online and it was easy and contactless. Safety measures well met.

Tried jok bal (pork hock) take-out based on strong recommendation from my neighbour.
I've had the same order from a few other Korean restaurants but none hit the spot quite like this. Very chewy and flavourful.
Can't wait for the next takeout night.

Ordered 'to go' original and spicy jokbal (pork feet) which came with a pleasant surprise - an order of makgooksoo (spicy buckwheat noodle) on the house.

We ordered extra spicy for the spicy one which had the perfect balance between sweet and spicy.

Original one was also nice. Very soft meat and jelly skin with a good balance of sweet and salty.

Surprisingly, the free order of noodle was really good. Lots of fresh veggies added good texture!

Food is overpriced and service is not that great. I ordered some strange chicken, thinking it was going to be tasty, but ended up tasting like rubber. When I told the waitress that I didn't like it, she didn't seem to care saying that it was supposed to be like that. She could have offered a replacement dish or maybe mentioned that the dish has an acquired taste since I don't eat Korean food too often. Instead I got charged $15 for a meal that I took 2 bites out of.

The restaurant itself was clean and they had plenty of tv's to watch the Raptors game. Atmosphere was nice.

The food overall tasted good. There was nothing to complain about the food. The only reason they lost a star was because of the receipt. My friends and I went there on tuesday and we got charged regular price for the tequila. We thought it was like 2 for $8 on Tuesdays but maybe we were wrong. If we were wrong, I'll change the rating to 5/5

Finest food, very kind staff members, regularly good character. They charge affordable prices and the food quality is awesome. I recommend this place.

We love going out. Last night we found this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We passed a beautiful experience there with first-rate food and an efficient team and an impressive chef. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will definitely return very soon. We deeply recommend.

Kimchi salad and tao bun were nice, however when we visited next time same items were not that tasty

Nice cozy restaurant, great food, and attentive staff. I was hesitant cause it fusion, but was pleasantly surprised. Loved the rice cake, kimchi fries and the deep fried mini soft shell crabs. Decent selection of beer and some interesting cocktails.

Ok if you want to pay for atmosphere, sure come along. Expect wait times, it is a small location and patrons spend a gooooood amount of time here.

Food was okay, I ordered honey garlic wings and was presented with plain wings. I tried to convey that I ordered honey garlic wings but they sat the plain wings in front of me. I'm sure it was just a language barrier issue. Nothing to be too mad about.

Disgruntingly, I ate my wings. The portion was very small for the price. The flavour was good and they were cooked well. They came along with a very spicy sauce that was loaded with flavour. The true highlight of the meal.

The other food on the table was good and my friends seemed to really enjoy their food.

When we asked for the bill, we experienced a lot of confusion. Initially I had to leave early so I figured I would grab the bill for my partner and I. Upon asking to split our portion, we were presented with more food. They thought we were trying to order more. Again, probably a language barrier.

Eventually it was all sorted with a few more inconveniences here and there.

I probably won't come back here, and if I do I won't get wings.

Great place with a vintage grungy vibe with an exclusive Korean menu. Staff are attractive and friendly. Try it if you're looking for a new Korean spot in the Yonge and Sheppard area.

Food was good but a bit overpriced. The service was terrible, some people seemed to be receiving white glove service while it took my partner and I 10 mins just to get water once we were seated only after asking 2 other servers walking by.

Love this place. Too bad their BBQ with cheese hot plate is no longer available. Without this menu, its just like regular Korean restaurant. Nothing special. So bring back that hot plate bbq with cheese!

I really like the dishes and customer service, excellent area very close to my residence. The employees are always kind. Would recommend to others.

Food is really nice, pricing is fair and service was great. Only suggestion is to turn down the music a tad - no one is getting lit on a Wednesday night.

Han Ba Tang is very unique when it comes with menu and the atmosphere.

I was super impressed with infused soju; they make their own. Now there are so many different flavors of soju out there, but they had their own flavors way back!

Food is also really good too! There are so many good things I'd like to order whenever I visit there!
I'd recommend Pan spicy chicken with corn cheese on top, Tacos and Kimchi fries (must) but everything is good!
If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it.

Also, making a reso is recommended especially during the weekend.

Shrimp app is to die for. Caesars are splendid. And their hot sauce is actually hot. One of my favorite modern Korean restaurants.

The place has great staff and the atmosphere of the place looks in. I got the srimp fries which were great I couldn't stop Eating them and I also got pork ribs I think they are called with soy sauce I would recommend going with friends. The only thing was that the staff didn't come around that often so you might have to flag them down but overall it was a nice experience

Terrible service. Waiting for over 15 minutes while there was an empty table. Then rudely told to leave when we sat at the empty table while waiting for service while not even busy. Waitress with light brown hair on March 16 lost the business of a group of physicians forever. Will never return after how rude the waitress was. Felt extremely racially profiled. Would not recommend and very upset.

Always a great time at HBT. Great (speakeasy) bar; there's not a sign on the outside of the establishment, but on the inside.

Service is quick and easy. Reservation highly recommended. Great space for small / big crowds.

Customers usually chill around for 1.5 hour. Great portion and sharing appetizers. Good drinks on taps and drink menu.

Washroom is clean but is low and small; watch your head.
