Ordered the kimchi Jjigae and sweet and sour pork. The kimchi jiigae was horrible (no flavor at all other than salty?) The sweet and sour pork was okay but not worth the hefty price.
The service was horrible as we were frequently ignored even when calling out to them when they’re close. The one time they did notice us and came over, we finally was able to ask for a refill of some side dishes and apparently three of the side dishes are totally gone and can’t be refilled? Meanwhile the table RIGHT next to us had all their side dishes refilled like three times?
The atmosphere was also pretty bad as the tables were super cramped together and it was super smokey in the restaurant. Would not recommend this place to anyone and definitely never coming back.

I lived in Korea for five years and came home looking for some decent Korean food in my home neighborhood. I ordered the bean paste stew (soybean paste stew) which is a staple dish among korean cuisine. The broth was too salty and the meat chunks were too small for any of the flavor to come through. The saltiness overpowered the tiny bit of spiciness and the flavors werent balanced. There were random seafood bits too. Is this bean paste stew made with pork or seafood? It should be one or the either. Would not recommend for people looking for authentic Korean food. (On the side not, personally, i think fermented kimchi is better than fresh kimchi too.)

I ordered soybean paste stew, one of the staple Korean dishes. Contrary to my expectations, the soup was too salty and the meat was so small that I couldn't taste it at all. The salty taste of the soybean paste stew overpowered the spicy taste and there was no balance in the taste. There was fishy seafood in between the ingredients, and I was confused as to what the base of the soup was. Why did you mix meat and seafood? I absolutely do not recommend this to anyone who wants the authentic taste of Korean soybean paste stew.

Pretty good place for Korean fare. Portion size is especially good. I enjoy having the set courses with my family. One star off because the Seollangtang comes with glass noodles here instead of buckwheat noodles, and sometimes service can be slow. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Not sure why there's some negative reviews about this place on Red Book, but I've been getting food from this place for 5-6 years now. Food & portion is great, still the same lady at the front after all those years (probably owner).

Overall, great food and service. Dining in seems quite tight inside the restaurant, but I've only done takeout all the time.

The food is very good. I would prefer the seafood pancake to be a bit more crispier. I am very disappointed that there is only one free side dish of japchae.

The restaurant was busy. We called ahead but they said they don't take reservations. First come first serve. We were a party of three and we went there around 7: 30pm on a Sunday and we had to wait astound 15 minutes so it wasn't so bad.

Been here numerous times, bout time I get off my lazy butt and write a review.

Located inside a small mall building, Richlane mall with plenty of parking.

A hidden gem with great authentic Korean dishes, can get busy during peak lunch and dinner periods.

Ordered the soft tofu seafood soup and Bibimbap in stone pot.

Soup contained bits of octopus, mussels, shrimp, etc.alongside generous amounts of soft tofu in a rich flavorful broth. Enough seasoning to give it the right about of spiciness, so comforting, especially now that the weather is turning. Comes sizzling bubbling hot to your table.

Bibimbap in stone pot also arrived hot and sizzling at the table, gochujang bottle at each table to add additional flavor to your preference.

Food quality/flavor always consistent, service staff always helpful. They got it right

This is an updated review. I recently went there for Wednesday dinner. If you come after 7pm, they get busy. I think they only reserve tables for large groups. We were a table of four. We ordered the table BBQ, seafood pancake, and cold noodles. It is my go to Korean restaurant. It never lets me down. The food is still good and the quality is there, since the last time I visited. Lots of tables and big groups can be accommodated, however, they do use rectangular tables not circular. Keep that in mind. I love their little appetizer dishes. They only have two waitstaff. So you gotta be patient.

Already visited several times. Food quality is consistent.

Nice pork katsu with rice. The flour surface is thin and crispy. The pork is of nice quality. The chef is generous in giving food. There are two decks of pork, though this is not clearly shown in the picture.

The attendants are always friendly, diligent and attentive. They are also generous in giving the kimchi and other appetizers.

Food is alright, average at best and I could think of a handful others that I prefer.
But the big problem for dine-in: beware of the air quality inside, it is terrible.
The few times I went, it was always stuffy and super hot. There is never air conditioning, and the door is always closed
even though the large common area outside has better air conditioning.
Air quality has too much to be desired for it to ever be an enjoyable dining experience, and makes me nervous in the midst of a pandemic.

A family owned business that makes great Korean food at a great price, a unique mall and unique restaurant space. Our favourite place to take grandma.

Perfect food, but terrible service. After we come here, we wait 15mins but still have no water when the restaurant is not too busy. When we pack our food, the lady work here who help others to pack, see how hard we do for soup, but just seems like ignore ours. With this terrible service, they do even ask for stationary tips.

Food is ok, but when I needed a refill a side dish, a woman in glasses said there was no more, but she did it for the Korean speakers at the next table. It's a strange distinction!!

We had the GamJaTang (pork bone soup) and Tookbaegi Bulgogi. The pork bone soup had tender meat and flavourful soup. They also give lots of bone and meat. The Tookbaegi Bulgogi also had lots of ingredients and was very flavourful. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes, and would definitely recommend you give them a try. Great flavours and fair prices. The staff were also very friendly and provided excellent service.

A minor nit: I was not a big fan of the sides (besides the Kimchi) compared to other Korean restaurants. The pickled cucumber was too salty.

Note that there is a cash discount for spends of $50 or more. There is a minimum spend of $20 if you wish to use a credit card.

Very delicious and give generous portions. We tried the pork bone soup and bulgogi soup. Both tasted very good and had lots of meat. They also give purple rice and lots of sides!

Delicious soup and stew options plus numerous side dishes. Great Korean place to eat at on a chilly day

This isn't my first go at this place - and I absolutely love the food here.

Since it has been quite warm lately, two of us decided to get cold noodles (and it was tasty as usual). My mom got the beef bulgogi (to which she was only able to finish half). The sweet and sour pork has always been a favourite of mine (I especially love the wood ear mushrooms).

The prices are quite comparable to other korean restaurants around.

The only downside to Han Mi Jeong is that it does get quite busy (I have had to wait over 45 minutes for dinner at one point), so if you want to avoid the rush, make sure you get there for lunch when it first opens!:) - this is the only reason why it is 4 stars. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would!

I will definitely be back again soon!

Very good food. But one thing is they intended to not giving you a repeat side dish of their honey potatoes. Are those potatoes that expensive?

Great authentic Korean dishes, everything tastes deliciously, prompt and courteous service. It’s our second time here and we enjoyed it a lot

We went here for my birthday and it was my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Small, cozy but friendly with delicious and authentic Korean dishes. We got one of the family combos plus some other dishes and they did not disappoint. Price is not the cheapest but very fair and the portions are large. I look forward to coming back here again very soon. Combo came with a large pork bone soup hot pot too but we finished eating it before I realized that I forgot to take a picture. Will have to remember to do so next visit.

Food was delicious, but unfortunately the service including scoffs and glares made the experience very uncomfortable.

Foods were great except for their Tteokbokki which was bland and needed more sauce.

Side dishes variation was limited and tasted ok.

The service was quick and there were 2 ppl serving us at that time. The younger one seemed like she hated her job and tried to scare away customers with her stare.

Overall I'd recommend this place and will try their other dishes.

Chef accommodated tteokbokki to my taste/needs, it was very tasty. Very good kimchi. Thank you for the great service.
