Cute little market with quick and tasty take-away sushi rolls. Good price, good quality, nice people.

Hands down the best vegetarian bento I've tried in Toronto! Usually the vegetarian bento option at Japanese restaurants is lackluster, but this one is full of flavour and fresh ingredients. We also love stocking up on specialty Japanese and Korean products, like Kewpie mayo and taro pancakes.

A great local bento takeout spot in East York! The salmon misoyaki bento was flavourful, I loved the different toppings/sides included. The amount of rice and fish provided was totally worth the price.

Took about a 10-15 minutes wait since I didn’t pre-order, had the time to browse around and check out the market’s products.

The market’s atmosphere was cozy and clean, and the staff were friendly and kindly answered all our questions regarding ingredients and market products. Will definitely come back again!

This is such a lovely market. It has Japanese and Korean packaged and frozen food. Such a delight to see some items not commonly found in Canada. There's also a variety of vegetarian options to choose from, within the store and from the restaurant. I had the vegetarian bento and the veggie special roll and both were delicious. If you are vegetarian or vegan you will have to avoid the miso soup, as it has fish stock. There's two seats at the back where you can sit and face the street, however as this is a market, most food is takeout. But you can enjoy the food outside on a nice day!

I have ordered from hanamaru over 20 times this year and every single time my order was looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Freshly made, great taste. I highly recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers.

The sushi here is one of the best in the neighborhood! I love coming here for snacks and sushi. The sushi is really fresh. They also have Melona Popsicles.

Who knew a small Japanese/Korean market could come up with such great tasting bentos? Hanamaru may feel like a mini grocery, but its offerings are restaurant-level goodness.

My wife and I have been countless of times over the last couple of years, and can easily say this place has the best bentos. Special mention to their unagi and salmon bento, with all the great sides. Their platter too is great quality for the price. Definitely stop by if you want a treat!

The sushi is amazing! I got some sushi here and a chicken bento box and they were wonderful. The shop also has a good selection of Japanese ingredients/foods.

Nice store with a small selection of Japanese snacks, but the highlight is the restaurant! Loved all the apps, rolls and bentos we had. Amazing quality and everything was done so delicious with great attention to details.

The bentos are good, but definitely, absolutely have to come here for the sushi.

All Salmon Maki Platter - Must get, presentation of the maki rolls are goregeous, I've never been so titillated by looking at sushi rolls before, the fresh salmon glistening in the light. Each bite is filled with fresh ingredients and packed. The torching the salmon also brings out so many smoky and charred aromas, while not being overpowering and is paired with a slightly acidic and sweet sushi rice with a perfect, slightly chewy texture. The texture of the tempura shrimp, the creaminess of the avocado, and the crunch of the cucumbers further elevate this dish.

Salmon Bento - A flaky and beautifully cooked salmon with a umami-filled miso glaze. Included are daily side dishes and miso soup, and a store full of all the Asian snacks that you can dream of!

One simple Bento and convenient food store in the area. Wasn't really noticable to me until I real look for it. Really simple decor in the store, yet they put all the effort on their food quality. I got the salmon Bento and that is one fresh and perfectly prepared salmon I had for a while. The Bento came with a little pack of special sauce their prepared for the salmon. It is a bit giner spice with soy sauce and a hint of lemon, well balanced and bring out the flavour of the salmon. The vegetables in the bowl contains fresh lettuce and some pickled cabbage and cucumber. Well satisfied lunch after all. Thank you for your food and service.

We had a really good experience. We frequent the Danforth area, and finally we had the chance to try Hanamaru. They are a simple store, offering many novelty items. We tried their sushi and their bento bowl. One bulgogi bowl and one veggie tofu. The food is extremely fresh and you can taste that they make their food with love and passion, from their heart. It was so good, I dream about it. Please stop by if you have the chance, you will not regret it.

Sushi here tastes good, prices are reasonable and the bulgogi bento box is excellent! Also love shopping their variety store for snacks, frozen ramen and dumplings.

What a fantastic little spot to find mostly Japanese and some Korean take away and products. I found it to be very reasonably priced. Staff just lovely. Food was delicious.

I ordered food from Uber eats and it was totally different from the picture. And food quality was also poor. I would definitely support small business if it is worth to. Hope this helps you understand this real review.

Best onigiri ever! I also love ordering sake don (salmon sashimi on a bed of sushi rice) as a treat for dinner. Consistently fresh and the service is warm and friendly!
