Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa - Whitby

Today I visited them for the first time, they welcomed me very kindly and fortunately they had a 30 minute appointment available, so I didn't miss the opportunity and had the massage, the therapist's name is David Symonds, who was very kind and excellent in his job.

The waiting room is nice and they have products for sale on display.

They have several rooms comfortably prepared to perform therapeutic massage and other services.

They have the possibility of becoming a member by paying a therapeutic massage or facial per month (subscription that is debited monthly from the card you assign) which means that once a month you can go and have your therapy done, but additionally if you want to have another service done the same day or another day at special rate.

In my case I have insurance with partial coverage for therapeutic massage and I can make the reimbursement with the receipt they gave me.

Such a lovely, soothing and welcoming experience. Staff at the front were great and my aesthetician, Cassandra did such a wonderful job with my facial. My skin feels so great plus, it was such an enjoyable experience throughout. Will definitely be returning!

Denise was incredible and took the time to explain what each step and the purpose of each product! Felt great after my facial and left with an additional recommended product. She is so knowledgable! I will be back

Unfortunately after many years of going for monthly massages my wife and cancelled our membership.
Over the past few years we accumulated several massages that were unused for various reasons. After talking and verifying with the staff, our card was paused (with massage credits) until we caught up.
When the time came to book our massages this location told us that they could not honour our credits because head office said that they couldn’t. My wife called them out on this because they are a franchised location. My wife who was extremely polite understood that the person she was talking to was only the receptionist and asked to talk to the owners to help resolve the issue. Several phone calls and promises from Hand and Stone and it’s obvious that the owners won’t answer our request to speak yo them. Thousands of dollars spent - unfortunately no more.

Absolutely loved my massage and facial. Denise did an amazing job as she made my face feel soft and hydrated. Will definitely be coming back.

Stephanie was fantastic - I had a Classic Facial booked and it was very relaxing and my skin felt great afterwards. Stephanie herself is so lovely too.

Lovely place. Friendly staff. I’ve seen Peter twice for massages that were very effective. He has a different method than I’m used to. Both visits left me looser and relieved of my muscle tension. Five stars.

This place is very clean, the staff is friendly too. Diana is very good, she easily finds the pain points and works on it. I had appointment with another masseuse she gave me 5mins less massage for what I booked. But with Diana no issues. Good place to get massage.
