Had an amazing experience at hand and stone. Booked a couples massage, and we were both so happy. They really take consent seriously and have various waivers they'd like signed to make you comfortable. Before starting the massage they ask what you'd like the focus to be on and I requested a sports massage and Christian didn't dissapoint. I've never had such a great massage and left feeling rejuvenated. If you care about cleanliness, feeling comfortable and getting a good quality massage this is where you want to be!

I had an issue with the manager at this location and he was uncooperative and mistakenly wanted to charge me for one more moth of my membership after I send him a written cancellation before 30 days. He should be gone for the stress he caused me and the time I spent talking to him and to my bank to solve the problem. No customer service skills and when I talked to him he sounded like he’s reading a script like a robot until I proved him wrong. Never go back to this location.

Amazing! My expectations were exceeded today with the perfectly curated personalized facial, followed by what can only be described as "The BEST massage ever! ". Solid 5 stars. Absolutely recommend!

As a regular customer at Hand and Stone Dan Leckie Way, I always leave with a relaxed and rejuvenating service. Although there have been occasional instances of confusion during billing, the staff has always been able to resolve the issue. I highly recommend them for their consistent quality, and especially Chandra for his exceptional massages.

Really bad experience with the manager (Denis I think) at Dan leckie way. I had purchased a BOGO. They sell it to you by telling 1 card has no expiry and then they cheat you by saying it expired and putting the blame on another center that someone else entered a wrong card. NO Accountability. RUDE behavior. He Really didn't want to help at all. Y go to such expensive places when this is the service you get!

Fred is exceptional with his massages; he really gets deep down into the tough knots and tightness. He is friendly and kind. I highly recommend him

Great and knowledgeable staff. Chandra Limbu, massage therapist provided very good service, some advises and tips, also sent me to my family doctor due my health issues that allowed me to start doctors' treatment, highly recommend it.

Also want to note that I was so pleased to hear of new mgt/owner as I left during Pandemic due to poor customer service (prior to new ownership). So far any email correspondence and front desk staff have been great! Glad to be back:)

This review is about the biz and staff, not the service.
The manager needs to talk to a biz consultant. The pkg lists and prices are not attractive at all. A cpl service is just double the single service. No perks or incentive to bring others. They catch you with memberships that doesn't make since, because you pay for membership and service. They charge you more for coming second time, as if they are punishing you for coming again!
So managers, if you are looking for customers feedback, here it is. I hope you take it in consideration so you keep your business in a fair trading market.
The staff, is not warm or welcoming, they are not sure of their price structure and to charge it.
I will be checking their website to see if they have optimized their prices. Otherwise it is not worth coming back.

If you phone in to the salon and ask clarifying questions, unfortunately, they're not very helpful.they don't know their services well, and to be honest, they confuse me more.

I got facial procedures. I really liked skin care therapists Sam: she explained every step, gave me tips and we talked about my skin in detail. I recommend Sam

Loved my massages from here. Have been going for almost 2 years now and would highly recommend Emily. She really helps and works with me to solve my problem areas, especially my back, always asking for feedback and also providing me with insight on my problem areas and how to solve them at home. I have felt a real improvement in my back. Booking has been really easy, usually done through phone or after my appointment.

The massages are good, but it’s weird to me that they ask you how much you want to tip your RMT aloud in a waiting area full of other people. This is generally awkward, especially since tipping “registered” massage therapists (who are supposed to be considered medical professionals) is not required or expected. Stop doing this.

Hayley had reached out and I returned her call. She was friendly to speak with and noted my concern and provided me an alternative RMT to try next time, should I return back.

I appreciate the follow up and as I had noted, the customer service and spa is very clean and friendly. I don't have anything bad to say about the location and staff. I just didn't enjoy the massage itself and had given it a fair shot & followed up with appointments per the RMT's recommendation.

I had gone 3 times to hand& stone in 2020 to use up my benefits as it was nearby. It was ok but not the greatest. I had booked follow ups with the same massage therapist to work through my shoulder problem but I felt that I was not seeing any improvements rather more and more discomfort.

The pricing is fair but I didn’t enjoy the massage techniques. It’s more compressing than it is kneading, if that makes sense. I have since gone back to my original massage therapist as I prefer more kneading techniques. I had asked for more kneading to work out my kinks but I didn’t really see anything different.

The spa is clean and the staff are friendly. This isn’t my go to place but wouldn’t mind going if it is my last resort to use up benefits for the year.

I get my massages from Moe and I love her. Also the location itself is nice, clean, welcoming and calm.

I got a facial here last week and it was lovely! Kristen was polite and explained everything she was doing in detail. She was very gentle. Will definitely come back here.

The online booking system is a bit annoying and didn’t work well on a mobile device.

The massage treatment itself was pleasant but the customer service wasn’t there. The RMT didn’t wait to provide feedback after the session. Maybe they were busy but I found that strange as usually the staff wait to discuss the treatment.

My to go place for a massage in the area! I keep getting Symone, but I’m not complaining, hes nice and great! I don’t have many issues when booking and the staff works well to make the process easy. No direct billing to insurance but that’s okay.

This place was recommended to me by someone who is a regular customer. I Didn't even get a chance to rate them for the service because the appointment booking process was very slow and disorganized. I was communicating with them via email for over two days to schedule an appointment for two people and they asked for my credit card to hold the slot which is fine, but since I wasn't comfortable giving my card details via email I was advised to come in to pay. Once I got to the place the slot was already taken and there were no other slots available for the time I wanted. Even though I was told via email that I can come in physically to pay and that my appointment is confirmed, the lady at the front only kept apologizing for the error which I appreciate but that doesn't help my situation. So this mis management just has left a bad taste even before going in and ruined the whole experience.

This place is amazing, I would especially recommend Emily, she is caring, gentle and listens to your concerns and needs. If you are looking for a RMT that actually cares about your wellbeing, request Emily!

This place is the best location in Toronto, if you need a massage tailored to your needs. I went there yesterday and had a massage with Atilla, and he always ask if there is anything specific that I need. After explaining my current situation with my back, after a recent sciatica flare up, he customized the massage and incorporated some exercises that have worked wonders on my back. Today is the best I have felt in two weeks, and the pain is almost non existence. Thank you Atilla for being my Saviour. I will be back in two weeks. Paulette

The Dan Leckie Hand and Stone is awesome! Great staff, very organized and always quality service. The massage therapists are very skilled and professional. I've been to other places and in comparrison have had a great experience here. Easy to get to and walking distance if you're nearby in the 'City Place', Fort York or Lakeshore and Spadina area.

My experience from before the appointment to after the massage is always great. Everyone is welcoming from once you step in the door. The RMT is very professional and addresses all focus points. I would definitely recommend someone to try it once, and you'll be wanting to book another appointment and join their monthly program (which is totally worth it)!

A great place for massage therapy. The staff are professional + courteous, the environment is welcoming, and they do a proper job of following health protocols for cleanliness. The massage therapist I see is amazing (Emily Bonduro), but I'm sure the rest are great too, for any issues you're looking to treat or if just for a relaxing massage.

Excellent service and practitioners. I have been coming for years and have seen many of the RMTs, always impressed. Covid precautions and sanitation procedures are of the highest standard. The owner Helen and her staff are very personable and accommodating with any questions or concerns you may have. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

This is my go to for massages! The staff are so friendly and the RMTs there are incredible. Last week my usual RMT unfortunately could not make my appointment and they were able to have another RMT come in that same day to accommodate me. Receptionist is very friendly and kind and gave me some skincare samples the last time I visited as well. Highly recommend!

Uncompassionate staff! No consideration for emergency cancelation despite giving so much business during pandemic. Not even ready to accommodate in any other slot. For a new mom who is trying to support local business during this difficult time.it was actually a shock! On top of that no email or phone reminders for the appointment.

I have chronic neck pain, and it was so horribly unbearable this morning that I booked a massage here with Jason last minute. I never go for massages, as I usually don't find them enjoyable, but I was desperate for my neck to be fixed.

My experience with Jason was wonderful! He is super knowledgeable, and the massage was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep a couple of times. I feel like a new person after only 1 hour long session that helped my neck pain a ton. The staff working at the front desk are also welcoming and friendly. I will most definitely be back for more massages here.

I’ve been coming here for about 7 visits now, and I have to say seeing Moe is the highlight of my week!

I’ve had reoccurring neck pain that hindered my ability to sleep and had terrible tension headaches due to my TMJ. At first, the idea of visiting a massage therapist was daunting. I was very self conscious about my body as I’ve never had any experience visiting a RMT. But Moe made me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped into the room. She listened to me, and tried to understand what was bothering me. Even going as far as to explain some of the things that may cause my persistent neck and upper back pain. She gave me some stretches to do at home to help with the tightness. I always leave her table feeling relaxed and like she actually helped my issues and am always counting down the days till I see her next.

I must also say the people who work at the reception are always friendly and helpful. I’ve had to switch around my appointments a few times and they have always been super helpful and understanding!

Helen and her team have done an absolutely phenomenal job of facilitating a warm, comforting space, offering a great feeling of community within the Fort York, City Place, and Waterfront areas. Being on the cusp of all 3, they warmly welcome clients as friends and neighbours. I feel safe and at ease while visiting Hand & Stone during these unprecedented times, as Helen and her team take protocols and regulations very seriously, and maintain the spa beautifully! I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile now, I was so happy to hear that they were reopening their doors (booked an appointment immediately) and from what I saw, they have taken precautions to ensure that both their clients and staff are safe. I have always had great experiences here, the entire team is amazing so you really can’t go wrong with who you see.

Had a wonderful inaugural Himalayan salt stone massage with Emily. Warm and soothing for a blissful muscle relaxation experience, similar to a hot stone massage. More warm than hot, the texture feels great on the skin. Plan for relaxation afterwards to get the full benefit. Definitely will get another!

I enjoy coming here, the staff are always professional and COVID procedures being met! My only suggestions would be to have the health history forms etc electronically (not filled out by paper the old fashioned way!) with an iPad or email sent the night before for clients to fill out such forms (keeps things clean and efficient) and I do find every time I am there checking out it takes long and I need to clarify my bill to make sure no mistakes made, perhaps some additional training for staff would be beneficial. They’ve taken great measures to ensure extra cleanliness following re-opening after the shut down due to the pandemic which made me feel safe. Simon is great as targeting trouble spots with a deep massage. Best value for the cost in the area hands down if looking for a local spot.

Visited the spa today, first time back since re-opening during covid-19. I was very impressed with the precautions that the spa has taken for everyone's safety. Masks must be worn during services and are provided to any one who does not have one. Hand sanitizer is readily available. Pre-screening forms must be filled out prior to attending your appointment. I felt very comfortable being in the spa. Massage itself was great.

Visited the spa for a pandemic massage - the last 90 days have big-time sucked - and I was very impressed by the precautions taken by the spa and all those working there. Strong distancing measures and communication, masks are mandatory (as they should be, haters!), and everything is sanitized appropriately. Thanks for making sure my health and safety was paramount! And thanks to Emily, an amazing therapist who I heartily recommend. If you’ve got some work-from-home related stress you want taken care of, make an appointment, the crew knows what’s up. Really bad service experience. Booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance and they literally call me a day before the appointment saying they cannot hold the appointment because my Credit Card, that they had on file, had expired. I told them I was in a meeting and do not have my card handy and why did they wait till last minute to ask for my card? Why nobody ask for my card when I called to book the appointment in the first place?
The card they had on file was from my last appointment years ago. And the person who called was not even a tiny bit accommodating. I mean. You forgot to take my card details. You forgot to check if the card was valid or not for 2 weeks and then instead of understanding that it was a miss at their end.
Anyway.never going to this place again. All I wanted them to say. "Hey sorry.we missed checking this earlier but its ok if you can't provide the card details right now come over for the appointment and we will sort this out for future ". How difficult is it to be a little kind and accommodating? !

Really friendly and welcoming staff, they always make it such a nice experience coming in. They have a casual approach when it comes to selling their service always inform of specials and new services, never pushy and always make helpful recommendations for treatments. I visit pretty often have had several massages with different masuses and they are all very good. They are always listening and really focuse their treatments on your areas of need I always appreciate that they take time afterwords and make some recommendations to help with maintence and upkeep on those areas and find it really helpful.

Great spot. I'm a regular here, their massage therapist, Simon is a fantastic therapist, particularly when it comes to sports massage. I'm only able to go see him once a month at the moment. But it's always worth while.

I have been to this location three times now and for two of those times, Nima was my massage therapist and now I will never go anywhere else! Nima is fantastic! He is very attentive and professional. When he found out I was interested, explained all about the muscle groups and even recommended stretches I could do at home to help in my problem areas. Overall a great experience!

I've been meaning to come here forever as it's in my neighbourhood. Today I treated myself to a massage with Emily who was fantastic. The pressure was perfect, and the location is lovely. I had a gift bag with me and the super lovely and bubbly gentleman at the front desk (I'm sorry I don't recall your name!) happened to noticed and asked if it was my birthday and let Emily know and they kindly offered a free aromatherapy upgrade to my massage. It's really small but kind gestures that go a long way and I'll be sure to be back. You will not be disappointed in getting a massage here!

One of the three best massages I have ever had and the first one in Toronto (the other two were in Asia) that I just have to leave a review. Laura is amazing. She would assess and listen to your problem areas and spend time on it. Her techniques were on spot. I have been complaining of upper shoulder and neck pain and this morning I woke up as if it had never occurred! Very happy with the service and will definitely come back.

Friendly administration staff. Communicated well when trying to accommodate a last minute attempt to schedule a massage. Was able to get a 50min appointment. I usually get a 90min to ensure time spent at problem areas. I specifically requested to therapist to concentrate on hand and arms only to have them brushed over. My feet were not touched at all nor were my forearms. Pressure was good (mostly gliding techniques verses digital manipulation) although abrupt at times.
Again, front desk was very accomodating and understanding and tried to rectify matter.

This place single handedly ruined my Toronto trip. I was here for only a night and the following day, then I was to fly on a 13 hours non stop flight that same day. I booked a massage as I really wanted to be as comfy happy and relaxed as can be before the long trip. In fact I booked a combo massage and a facial, and opted to upgrade my services too so I was spending quite a lot of money there. I admit I made it late, 12 mins late to be precise as I checked my time to apologize as I enter. They told me they had taken a walk in in my place already! In 12 mins they had taken someone and started the service already as they won’t tell the person sorry the appointment showed up. No one called me, no one emailed me, nothing. I am a tourist I was actually a little lost circling the block, if they called to check if I’m still coming I would have confirmed. After that I spent an hour and a half walking and ubering to every spa in the area and none of them had availability. Not only did I not get a massage but I’m exhausted and so angry at their attitude. Don’t take appointments since they don’t respect them, just show up.
