Went in for a massage and facial. Staff were very accommodating and I left feeling very relaxed. Amazing service all the way around!

Great massage and loved the use of warm towels throughout the hour. Intro price was a little low but regular price too high (about a $30 difference). I liked the massage so much though that I'm debating continuing even with the higher price.

1 star for the lack of proper customer service from the front desk girl Dianna. She was more concerned about her phone and McDonald’s than demonstrating quality customer service. Zero manners. 5 stars for the massage but there is a lack of business ethics from the people who would otherwise be considered managing this business. They should also know the price that they’re quoting their customers when they fully confirm it. I was mis quoted and essentially told “too bad”. She did call to try and rectify this although lacked the ability of leaving a voicemail. It was a lazy effort at best.if it was me running that business I would have taken onus and honoured what was quoted. If you’re miserable that’s fine but don’t project it onto your clientele. Seeing as this is a health care facility, I don’t understand why there’s a tip prompt when paying. If the owner is simply going to reply to this review to say “we’re so sorry”, save it. Actions speak louder than words if you actually want to rectify the issue at hand.

I love the therapists here. They are amazing. But the music in the rooms is just awful. It detracts from my relaxation experience. They need to do something about it.

My 85 year old mother and I went for a hot stone massage and facials. Both were excellent.and we have done our fair share of spa's! My mother said Mary was the best therapist she has ever had.

Ask for Shirin for facials! I had the best experience with her. She definitely knows what she's doing, the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely be going back to see Shirin again!

Had a great massage from Jack today. My lower back had been bothering me for several weeks - very stiff. After the treatment, my back muscles were much looser, and no pain when I moved. What a relief! Stephanie the receptionist was friendly and organized!

Hand and stone is great and will try to help you in any and every way they possibly can. Massage therapist Keshav has worked through my issues and pain through many methods that has made a noticeable difference in my day to day life.

Saw Nidal today for a last minute 100 min massage and he was absolutely wonderful. Worked the tension points very well.

Went to this place after someone recommended on social media about Keshav massage therapist. Had treatment from him and love it. It was one of the best massage I ever had. My pain felt better free one treatment. He gave me some exercises. He is very knowledgeable. Highly recommended

Had the best facial of my life. I feel and look atleast 5 years younger. My Esthetician, Ilhem was amazing. She was knowledgeable and took her time. She made me feel like a valued customer, by explaining to me what was going on with my skin, what treatment she would be doing and why, as well as recommending an appropriate skincare routine for me to follow. Ilhem clearly takes pride in her work so I would definitely see her again for further treatment as well as recommend her to others. RMT who massaged me had smoke before massage and had very strong cigarette smell which made me feel uncomfortable during the session. She was close to face, not wearing mask and talking all the time. I usually don’t write review but I really want this to be fixed so that no one else has to experience this as it was extremely uncomfortable.

Just had my first ever “bacial” back facial, it was so relaxing, like an hour long gentle back and scalp massage!

Consistently good massages here no matter the therapist. Really clean and relaxing space. They have great hours too, open late and on weekends so it works if you have a busy schedule.

I had a Classic Facial yesterday with Faith. She was very well-educated on her product knowledge and was able to tailor the treatment to address my specific concerns with no hassle to purchase any products afterwards. Additionally, her professionalism and genuine care for her clients went above and beyond my expectations! I will definitely be a 'repeat' client of hers moving forward.

Best massage I’ve ever gotten. It really targeted the areas I needed, as opposed to the typical “all body standard” massage. Everytime I go to a massage service and let them know the hurt areas, they never really truly focus on them. I was very pleased that Hand and Stone massuese heard my needs and knew how to tackle those areas. Will go again.

Fantastic location! This location is run well. The staff at the desk are always friendly and emailing is responded to promptly. If you have benefits and require regular massage or just enjoy massage this is the place to go to! The spa director Annette is amazing to deal with. My favourite massage therapists are Keshav and Nidal. Keshav is a bit more deep tissue with a deep understanding of anatomy with his osteopathic background whereas Nidal does more of a continuous motion type massage which helps with circulation and warming the tissue and relaxation. Nidal was a physiotherapist in his country so also very knowledgeable and funny. Both amazing therapists and Hand and Stone are lucky to have them ️

I loved my experience at the appleby line location in Burlington! Great staff and service. My aesthetician was beyond good. She was so pleasant and knew what she was talking about. The results are amazing. Will definitely recommend this place and Fayth.

Go to the Appleby Burlington location only if you like to be dismissed and are willing to bite the bullet on racial bias by the reception staff.

I was 100% satisfied with the facial service offered by my esthetician Fayth - she was not only kind in her demeanour but offered very good advice on skin care and products to use. I would have loved to give a 5 star review for Fayth’s service.

Unfortunately a review not only assesses the service provider but also the management. Thus I’m giving a 1 star rating only because of my repeated dissatisfaction with the front desk staff/receptionists.

I’m a south Asian and the staff were so biased in the way they treated me as opposed to the other customers with whom they were chatty and courteous. Was I too fast to make this decision? Nope! I’ve been here thrice in the last 2 weeks only since I had pre-booked my appointments and went there thinking my next experience will be better.

They don’t have a diversified staff group. If they are not willing to provide services to people of other races they might as well be open about it and advertise the same. In which case I would have happily chosen a more inclusive place for my facial service and saved my time in writing this feedback.

I’ll never visiting the Appleby Burlington location again.

Very thorough and thoughtful people work here. My ONLY complaint if I had to have one, is their mailing list. I gave them my actual email and have received 2 a day since my visit! That is not advertisement, it's annoying.

I've had two facials done by Paulina and I'm beyond impressed! I find them even more relaxing than the massages I have received at hand and stone (not that they aren't phenomenal as well). Paulina made sure I had no allergies, was comfortable, explained what she was doing, and reccomended great products for my skin as well as what kind of facials I should get moving forward.

PROs: Very nice reception staff. Bonnie did a good job with the relaxation massage, duration was also sufficient.
CONs: During the massage, whenever you try to relax there is a loud thud sound probably because of shutting the door again and again which spoils the entire experience. A massage center should be operated at a location which is free from outside disturbances.

My experience at Hand and Stone has been like no other, everyone is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I recently had two treatments of laser hair removal done on my legs and I am amazed by the results. After only one treatment I began to see the benefits of the laser, after the first week, the hair growth slowed down and I would go an extra day without shaving, which I could not believe was possible given the thickness and amount of hair that I have. I am also on certain medications that can irritate my skin and Maria my amazing esthetician went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and I got all my questions answered. I highly recommend this spa.

First time I went here and it was a great experience, had the pleasure of having Stuart as the one helping me out, he is a complete professional and a really nice guy too! Massage was amazing and professional. Keep up the great work everyone!

Fantastic spa! It's clean, the staff are professional, and the prices are reasonable. The first time I visited, I had Keshav as my RMT; and I've been booking with him ever since. He is fantastic. He really knows his stuff and has identified issues with my posture that I didn't even know existed. He's also taught me simple stretches that I can do at home. I'm so satisfied with this spa that I've actually chosen to take on a monthly membership. Highly recommended!

Over the last couple years that I've visited Hand & Stone Burlington, I've had a great experience with both RMTs who have provided me treatment. With the COVID-19 pandemic, I was apprehensive to return, but after observing the safety protocols, my mind is at ease. Keshav is amazing, and has made major improvements to my wellbeing over the last couple of months - I highly recommend booking some time to see for yourself. He is very conscientious and professional and ensures that you are feeling comfortable and that the pressure is always appropriate. I've also had great experience with Evan in the past, and would recommend him as well. Check out the Lifestyle Program, which gives you better rates and some other great perks.

I have the membership which provides massages at a lower cost. Friendly staff, very good RMTs available at this location. If you haven't tried, I highly recommend couple's massage with your significant other!

This was a the second time my husband and I have gotten a couples massage and we have loved it both times. The front desk staff are so kind and helpful, the spa is calming and clean! Original: Unprofessional experience. Went for massage which was ok. While I was paying my therapist came out at front desk and started asking me how am I feeling and discussing my issues at front desk. Then he started showing stretches and told me to do it. I was in tank top and had to stretch in front of everyone. It was so embarrassing for me. I also don’t think he should have discussed my issues in front of everyone. I want to repost this.

I went to hand and stone for the first time in regards to a massage since I have been needing one badly.
I have a coworker recommend Bonnie and might I just say this was the best recommendation I ever received.

I got a gift certificate for Christmas and the gift giver recommended Stuart. I am so glad she did, he is professional, kind and really listens to what you are looking for. I’ve been twice now and will be back. Best massages I’ve had in a long time. And the front desk staff have been great too! I know any customer service job isn’t easy these days. The membership option is a no brainer if you go for one massage a month!

I was really looking forward to my prenatal massage and having the chance to relax but unfortunately that was not the case. I arrived about 7 minutes late (totally my fault and I understand the policy about the time being taken off my massage and had no issues with a 50 minute massage turning into 40 minutes) ; however those 40 minutes didn't do anything for my body. I specifically told the therapist my legs and feet hurt the most so naturally she should've spent the most time there but in the end she said "next time come on time so I can focus on your feet". Why not focus on my feet first since that was my problematic area and not spend half the time on a head massage? Even the other parts of my body felt like they were just barely touched. Overall, I didn't leave feeling relaxed and just felt nothing was done for my body.

Because of my job I had been having sciatica pain since couple of years tried so many RMTs, osteopaths but it never went away. Tried this place recently. After 3 treatment my pain is gone. If u are looking for clean place and real treatments I will recommend this place.ask for Keshav massage therapist.

Very clean and professional service. Recently went for massage after COVID. One of the best massage I ever had.

I am deeply concerned with the care I received on Friday. My masseuse has left me with a constant pain in the neck that is still present days later. I went in there with lower back pain and left feeling worse than I did when I arrived.

Seeing as it was my first massage session in a few years, the masseuse never should have done any form of deep tissue work. At the same time pressing on my neck muscles to show me how it affects migraines and triggering one to prove a point was reckless and not warranted. I now have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and cant even hold a phone to my should with my chin. The muscles in my neck and shoulders are very painful. I DID NOT have this issue when I arrived. All they had to do and all I asked them to do was focus on my lower back.

For anyone thinking of going here with some sort of back injury. DONT! This is a spa, these are not RMT's. Great for relaxing with a soft gentle massage or facial or whatever else they do.

I have the monthly massage membership and it's great value. The staff and massage therapists are excellent!
UPDATE: Still my favourite place for a massage. Some people find having the gym noise from above a deterrent.but it's never an issue for me because I'm so relaxed!

Every time I have gone for a massage, I leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and super relaxed. I’ve had different RMT’s massage me, and each of them are incredibly skilled and thorough with their massages, and each are different in their techniques. I would definitely recommend this location as the staff - from reception to massage therapists know how to take care of their clients.
The only downside is there is a Women’s Fitness club above the salon, and you can hear the occasional thudding from weights. This may bother some individuals who are particularly sensitive to noise, but if you’re like me who can find the relaxation in the service, I would 100% recommend!

It is apparent that she is diligently trying to resolve this issue and cares deeply about each clients' experience at the spa. Wishing her the best of luck rectifying this and am looking forward to possibly returning to this location at a later date.

I went here recently for a massage and a facial. The staff are very polite and professional and the spa is very clean. I had Bonnie for the massage service and it was fantastic! The only negative part of my experience, which is ultimately why I wouldn't return to this location, is that there is a women's gym above this spa. No more than half way in to my massage (and during my entire facial), I heard what can best be described as loud thuds and banging on the ceiling (almost as if weights, etc are being dropped on the floor above). It was startling and I found it hard to ignore, especially since you are there to relax! I wasn't aware there is a gym on the 2nd floor, so I thought it was maybe some maintenance being done to the building, but after learning it is a gym, I will not be back! I'm aware this definitely would not bother some people as much or even at all, but it was not enjoyable from a relaxing perspective, as it went on for more than half of my time spent there. If they moved locations, this would be a front runner for me in terms of the service I received.

First time experience and enjoyed it immensely.
Waxing was quick and painless (the esthetician was lovely and personable and I feel bad I forget her name). This was followed by a couple's hot stone massage therapy treatment with Bonnie and Ari (?). I have been curious about this type of massage for ages and the experience was very relaxing and well paced. The added on cold stone facial treatment was really lovely too. I enjoyed not having to make small talk and just immerse myself in the massage treatment. Beautiful tables for tall individuals like myself and the massage therapists had fantastic instincts for what areas needed extra care.

I have been twice now and enjoyed both appointments with different staff. Very relaxing and everyone is very friendly. Easy to book appointments with and takes last minute appointments when there is availability. Definitely will be back!

From reception to the facial it was very professional. I enjoyed my facial and would definitely use their services again.

UPDATE: The spa's manager, Annette has contacted me and was extremely apologetic and concerned with what happened. She refusely said sorry and has called me several times to ask how I am doing. She understood my frustrations and explained to me the situation and how something like this should have never happened. She did not make excuses! She simply tried to resolve the issue. I was refunded for the service and will be going back to receive waxing from their lead waxer. She has changed my opinion about the spa due to how well she has handled and reached out to me regarding my experience and I do believe something like this won't happen again!

So i scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian wax on Sunday Jan 5th 2020 and this is not my first time receiving one. This was my first time coming to Hand and Stone for waxing and it will be my last. My appointment was at 7 and everything was going fine, the esthetician was nice and asked me what wax I would prefer. I said hard wax as soft wax is too much for a sensitive area especially that particular area. She informed me she would use soft wax for certain areas and hot wax for others (nothing wrong with that) but she basically used soft wax for almost every area and then when using the hard wax it seemed as though she couldn't properly rip it off as the wax was still all over me. I left with wax still on me, it was very uncomfortable as well as there was still many visible hairs. She tried wiping it off with water or something for almost a good 10 minutes and it was just pulling on my skin.lets just say i laid there, silent, nice and understanding for an hour. AN HOUR. I also have a huggggeee bruise on my private area because she should not have waxed over bone. I am not happy and I don't believe I should have paid for any of that service. I am a esthetician myself and it was just embarrassing. Do not get waxed here.

They accommodated me for a same day visit which was a treat. Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The massage was top notch. I would recommend.

My first time at the spa was with Bonnie. I've tried out various other spas that offer RMT massages in the area, so when I say Bonnie is a wizard, it's legit. The kind of massage that hurts so good, and afterwards you feel like a new person. I immediately booked my next appointment with her when the appointment was finished. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting great massage. My only warning is the unit next door is SO LOUD, so it can take a bit to tune it out and get relaxed.

Exceeded expectations. Lovely place with great staff and incredibly relaxing services. There appears to be a gym above and in the lobby you can hear it but I couldn't during my spa treatments. 10/10 would go again and with friends! Also very accommodating! I waited last minute before my gift card expired and they were able to accommodate both a massage and a facial at one days notice. Outstanding service.
