Honestly love the yarn as I can buy alpaca yarn here which is ethical and my favourite but both times the staff have been so rude to me. Bad attitudes. Not very friendly at all.

A great place for all things knitting + any classes you might need. And they have someone who makes wooden accessories like a darning “mushroom” for repairing socks.

Huge selection with an emphasis on environmentally friendly fibres. Notions, books and patterns too.

Lovely store. The owners are super nice, helpful, and funny! Also really appreciate that they've kept mask mandates. Thank you for keeping everyone safe!

Massive yarn store loaded with commercial and indie yarns, notions and accessories. This shop almost always has some sort of wonderful sale going on - worthwhile to keep an eye on their social media! The staff are friendly, the space is neat and tidy and easy to navigate. Loads of samples and a excellent sized studio space at the back!

Parking is nearby - both free and paid. The shop is accessible and the staff are helpful and personable. Definitely worth a peek if you’re in the area!

Went in for yarn for a blanket and received very little help even though the store was empty and was discouraged from buying there. I hoped for nice quality yarn and some help in choosing for a pattern I already had (or similar suggestions) it but instead got a weird vibe. I'm open to trying to go in again, but as a first time in-person visit, this did not leave a good impression. I felt like I wasn't part of the club. Please remember to be kind to beginner-intermediate knitters in future.

Very beautiful yarn store. It has some yarns that you cant find to other stores. The ladies there are awesome too. I bought yarn and some magazines. Would definitely visit again even though it is a bit far by bus for me

Amazing shop! I'd never been into a small yarn shop like this, I mainly shop online. The experience was amazing, selection was everything I could dream of, and the ladies there seemed quite lovely. Thank you so much for my new yarn, I can't wait to come back!

Lovely shop and friendly and helpful staff. Was visiting with a friend and we were doing a mini-yarn crawl. Found a matching skein pf yarn for a variegated skein of "vacation yarn" I bought about 4 years ago. Was thrilled. They have a great selection of Isager yarn, which is often not easy to find. Highly recommend.

Just took a Beginner's Knitting class here and loved it. I learned more than I expected to, had a lot of fun and look forward to taking another class. Great atmosphere too!

Very knowledgeable owner and vast selection of wool of many types - wool, alpaca, Llama, cotton, paper.

I love it! There is a huge selection of beautiful yarns prices are good and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can get a private 1/2 hour or hour lesson if you get stuck on a pattern!

I love the colours of the wool here. I also have one of their project bags and use it every day. With they had more stuff on their calendar for crochet though

The staff at Handknit make it my absolute favourite store in the area. They have a good selection of yarns from budget friendly to beautiful indulgences. They do classes and have spinning and weaving supplies, too.

I recently took a beginner's weaving class at Handknit. The owner taught the class and she was warm and helpful. It was a great class and I would suggest it even for people new to crafting. They have lots of weaving tools for excellent prices, much better than amazon even.

The store offers beautiful yarns that you won't find at traditional yarn stores. There is a large variety of fibers and colours and the prices are very reasonable considering that the supplies are all very high quality.

I’ve been here twice, and even though it’s far it is one of my favourite shops! Extremely well curated, and very friendly!

Great selection of good quality yarns. Good range of prices and staff are very helpful. The most stressful part is the parking.
