Happy Hearts Tent & Trailer Park

WOW i can't believe we have been coming here for 40 plus years. It is an amazing park with absolutely wonderful owners and staff.we planned a stay with the whole family including my 75 year old parents and we couldn't have been happier.we stayed in the 3 cabins and they were amazing and we are so thankful for them.they kept us sooo warm! I would recommend this campground to everyone! I can't wait to plan our trip next year! Thank you for everything! And all the little extra's! And for fixing the blown fuses! Twice!

The owners are friendly and welcoming. The sites meet every camper’s taste. We go there every year, at least once and sometimes 3 times a year and we always feel great.

We had a great stay at happy hearts. Location is great, only a few minutes drive into tobermory. The park is very well kept and clean, possibly the cleanest bathrooms I have seen at a camp ground. All of our questions and concerns were taken care of promptly. Check in and check out were a breeze. Great staff. We can't wait to return in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the location is ideal for exploring the bruce peninsula.

If you're looking for public showers don't bother wasting your time here. I'm sitting in the parking lot typing this as I'm set back by how rudely we were told that it is for overnight customers only.
Kindness goes a long way, and I'm blown away by how rude the I'm assuming "owner" was to us simply asking a question. I wouldn't spend money here if you paid me to spend it here. Zero stars if I could

Fantastic place to stay, great camp site with alot of things to do. The store has got almost all your supplies and memoirs, also the customer service is 6 stars! We will be back for sure!

Laura did a great job with the park this year.she's super friendly. Though she was busy with reservations.she still found the time to get us firewood.ice and friendly conversation. Dave was beautiful too.he came around daily to check to see if we needed anything.we're already booked in for next year.same time.my only complaint is the Big Lad never taught me how to ride his skateboard.that's why we're back next year. "Sorry, it’s too busy of a weekend and not much left for sites for me to consider this. " The response customer service gave me after I asked for a callback. I understand this was very last minute but I still needed information that I couldn't get from the site. I called about 8 times and never got a response. I won't even try next time. Laura is just plain rude, and I could verify that from previous reviews.

Great location to explore the Bruce Peninsula National Park, Fathom Five Marine Park, Singing Sands, and Tobermory, Ontario. Campground is very well maintained and the owners/staff are great! Would definitely stay here again!

I’m not one to usually do reviews but when someone deserves it I’ll do it! This place was by far my favourite camping trip, kids loved the pool owners are nice, washrooms are clean, and the best part it’s so close to all the fun stuff! Beach’s light house everything will be coming back forsure thanks for good camping trip happy hearts

Places like these are where nostalgia is born. There was just such an easy going, community feeling with activities and conversations happening sporadically here and there. Thank you Laura and the staff for a nice stay, I hope you don’t get anymore lightning strikes.

Super friendly staff and owners, clean facilities, and an overall great experience over the Canada day weekend. The kids loved the camp store and the pool! Remember extra blankets as it can get cool here overnight.

Just couple of weeks ago, my wife & I spent our last kick of the summer and we stayed at Happy Hearts. I would say that our hearts are happy because of the friendly staff, quiet place, clean facilities, strong wifi and many good things we could say about the Happy Hearts. We had an amazing time at Happy Hearts! We stayed in the 5 person cabin and it was equipped with 4 Muskoka chairs, a fire pit, picnic table, broom and dust pan inside, a table and chairs, microwave, and mini fridge. It also had a charcoal barbecue outside.

The campground has lots of fun amenities like mini golf, peddle carts, a good sized pool, a playground, and a nicely stocked gift shop.

The campground is maybe 4 minutes from the main strip in Tobermory, so it was so easy to get around. I'd definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a great family campground.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Will not be recommending this place to anyone I know. Completely ruined our weekend!

Great park for camping. Only 3 kms from downtown Tobermory. Rode our bikes there in 10 min. Would definitely camp here again. Hoping for better weather next time. Thanks Dave & Laura for an enjoyable camping experience.

The staff are very friendly and the accomodations were clean and comfortable. When you see the welcome to Tobermory sign it's time to make a turn down Cape Hurd Road.

Had a great time with the family over there nothing but pleasant people around and lovely staff. Everything is easy of access and properly maintained. Definitely will come back to this spot.

2nd time here! Had a great time here once again! My husband and I stayed in the adult only section in the back of the park; so beautiful. Pool hours are great 8am to 9pm and there is buggies kids can rent to drive around. There is a gaint chess game and mini put. The showers cost 2.00 for 5 mins.the park is well kept and clean. The owners are very nice and Tobormory is about 5 mins to the town which is great!

Beautiful and large tent site perfect for our get away. Not many other people tenting in September which was nice. The store has everything you need to build a fire with some bath and some kitchen supplies, extra tents and air mattress for purchase. Super friendly staff and well maintained facilities. Coin showers and lots of activities to do at the campground. We certainly enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic spot to base your tobermory adventures. Easy access to all the destinations and plenty of on-site options to while away a day of holidays. Kids loved the pool and playground. The staff were super helpful with us trailer newbies.

Went here on my bike tour to stay the night and had an amazing experience. I purchased firewood and got it delivered right to my campsite since I didn't have a car. Got a free fire-starter too!
Campground is very clean and well maintained and there are plenty of amenities including showers and laundry. I was able to get all my gear cleaned and ready for the next part of my trip. Couldn't be happier with my stay here. Thanks Happy Hearts!

We stayed here for 3 nights back in early August and LOVED the park. We’ve stayed at so many private and Provincial parks in the last 5 years, so when I say this was an amazingly clean, quiet, full of amenities and a friendly park, I’m saying this from experience.
The staff was top notch with very friendly customer service. Prices were very fair and reasonable. I saw the staff constantly cleaning and tending to campers requests. It seemed like they never rested. Hehe.
If you’re looking for a nice clean family park that close to everything to do in Tobermory, definitely give Happy Hearts a try.

This was our second time at Happy Hearts. We love it here! Camp sites are well maintained, some with more shade/privacy and some with more sun depending on your preferences. Bathrooms are cleaned, plenty of activities for everyone, and a store with almost everything you could need. Happy hearts location is perfect making it easy to get right into tobermory, hikes, and beaches. Thanks again Happy hearts for another fantastic visit!

Friendly, helpful staff and a quiet setting make this an awesome spot to park your rig for a few nites or a week! The owners will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. They're adding a new spots all the time, so make a reservation and see what you've been missing!

Came here couple times and I travel 4 hours to come to this location.and its always worth it! The customer service is awesome, the camp site (s) was always in tip top shape, the washrooms are incredibly sanitized, and there's a lot of curricular activities to do! They have a lot of space to accommodate for RV's, Cabins and Renters. The camp site is only 10 minutes or less away from Downtown Tobermory. Excellent for kids as well!

The only downfall I had from this camp site is.when I left, I felt an urge to go back and rent space again!

Great family campground! We stayed for a week and had a great experience, the facilities were very clean, the staff was very friendly especially the owners They offer many activities for kids and they have a pool that our kids used daily. Kind of lack of privacy in tent area… got noisy party neighbours really bad luck. Owner told me he shut them down at 11;20 pm… could be a earlier like 10pm as posted

The email I got said “all music should be off at 10: 30 pm” can you double check your postings, documents, email replies to make sure the info is consistent please

Amazing family campground! Store has a lot more than I remember growing up. Staff are still as friendly and great as I can remember! Grounds are kept spectacular, most sites have great shade with trees. Swimming pool, laundry, showers, mini golf, giant checkers and more. Wonderful spot to camp with the family!

We had a great time camping here! Great facilities and things for the kids to do (pool, mini golf, park, pedal carts) and a very nice family-oriented place to stay. There is a store on site for anything you may need as well as treats and ice cream and the staff are lovely!

Super site pour les tentes a terre, beaucoup de choix de terrains avec arbres ou bien aéré. La piscine est belle et bien des jeux de disponible. Certain son payant comme le miniputt et le shuffle board a 2$/personne. Les douche meme chose 2$/5min.
Et bien situé.

Pool was full of dead flies, arcade ate coins and the owners refused to reimburse to my 4 year old daughter! Showers are disgusting! Over priced soaking wet fire wood. Owners are extremely hostile and rude people. You can do much better than this place.

Excellent experience at this campsite - this is easily my first choice for accommodation on Tobermory trips; especially considering the nearby motels are always full.

This is very close to Tobermory and several other Bruce Peninsula attractions. The grounds are clean, spacious, and everything is reasonably priced. The family who runs it are very friendly and helpful to all guests. Would recommend this wholeheartedly.

This was our 1st stay at Happy Hearts & it did not disappoint. Customer service was great & our RV camping spot was perfect. We would definitely return in the future & we highly recommend staying here.

If your looking for a spot to camp close to tobermory, look no further (unless they are full), they have a nice open set of camp sites for families close to the office and amenities and further back camp sites with lots of tree coverage for a bit more privacy, they have a spot for everyone and the price was very fair considering we were 5 minutes down the highway from tobermory, I was expecting to pay alot more.

Been here twice in past three years. The only trouble I countered that the toilet with showers might be closed the whole day and meanwhile there are other toilets, I couldn't shower. The rest is great. Both times got nice secluded spots.

So you want to come to Tobermory Ontario and you are like hmmm where do I stay? Well have I got just the happy place for you! Happy Hearts Park is a great place for all kinds of happy people!
The owners are so friendly and grounds are well kept.
There is lots to do here like swimming, tether ball, horse shoes, and they have quite the mini putt course! I must warn you tho if you are looking to be a rock star at mini putt and want to beat your friends and family proceed with caution because hole number 6 is a real SNICKERDOODLE and it will crush all your hopes and dreams at ever being a pro mini putter!
I had a great week there and I left with a happy heart!

Great place to stay, centrally located, friendly service. Easy to book, the info about the Bruce Peninsula National Park provided when we registered online was very helpful. Lots of activities for the kids. Facilities were clean and the owners were very willing to answer our questions about the area.

I love this place! My family stumbled upon it when our day trip turned into a weekend away last year. They were able to accommodate us on really short notice, and we came back this year for round 2. We will be back again! This trip, We only heard from one 'Karen' telling our kids to "shut up" from 2 sites away on the first evening. (her words to a 7,10&13yr old (I know.tough chick eh? !) ) In her defense, it was getting late, so we let it slide. She just clearly didn't understand children's excitement after being a first time camping for one of them, and crammed in a small car for 6hrs. We didn't have a problem with anyone or anything else, for the next 2 days. Other than the rain.

Fantastic campground! Very obvious that the owners take pride of ownership in the grounds. Everything is super clean and kept in great working order. Owners, Laura and Dave are very friendly, approachable and accommodating if you do happen to have an issue. On our very first trip there my family stayed in a tent and had some nasty rain and a cold front move in for 3 days. Upon check in I had realized I forgot my jacket but the owner Dave, never meeting me before, went to his home and brought me a jacket to borrow for the weekend and even offered us a sheltered warm place by the pool to get out of the rain. We have since purchased a travel trailer and have been going back 3-4 times a season with friends and family for several years now. I am happy to say my family will have life long positive memories and feel at home at Happy Hearts.

Nice spots with swimming pool, playground for children and drinking water. However you have to pay for the showers, the washrooms were dirty (we just tried the toilets) and there is a lot of mosquitos if you sleep near the bushes.

Super rude male owner. He behaves like he is running a school. Campsites are below average. Horrible bathroom condition on next morning. No cleanup until 11: 00am. This place should be shut down. Don't waste your money. No wonder you get availability here last minute.

Endroit pres du parc national) Il y a une piscine, les douches sont belles, gratuites (la semaine) et l'eau est comme à la maison: chaude ah ah ah. Les terrains sont grands, bien entretenus et avec de belles zones d ombres. Il y a un mini pot, un parc, location de petit 4 roues à pedale (photo).
Bmol: pas de casse croute, pas de magasin general pour acheter du pain ou autre chose qu'on aurait besoin.

The place was really wonderful no doubt in it but the people or the owners are really money minded what problem I had is I called then and asked for a spot they said they have enough. She said the spot is 100$ we said ok let me see the spot and i confirmed it and I went to the payment and the lady who showed us the spot was busy and a gentleman helped us for payment and the gentleman said its 80$ total. So I what I want to review is they are expensive and they dont have fixed prices. If you look innocent you they will make fool of you. I suggest you to bargain

Customer service is very odd, they act like we're bothering them whenever we had questions or wanted to buy something from their store. Usually private businesses are happy and energetic when greeting customers cause its their land and want a good rep.nope just a little snobby and sassy lol.other than that it was a nice camping area but the bathrooms were pretty disgusting and not maintained enough (once a day). 2$ showers for 6 minutes? Rip off. I wouldnt recommend the stay tbh

The campground over all was amazing in itself, the experience on the other hand was disappointing. Washrooms were clean and the showers were free during the week with great pressure and hot. The staff were nice and the sites were a good size with enough privacy and shade. The noise on the other hand was outrageous. This is suppose to be a family camp ground but there is no noise enforcement for the ones who are up drinking and partying well into 3am. I was able to go to bed at 930pm with people playing music and laughing around the fire which is how it should be, but to be woken up every night at 12am -330am of cheering, yelling and “hook ups” is very frustrating. In speaking to fellow campers who were also frustrated with the lack of respect from those around them and no enforcement have said they will not be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lots for the kids to do and washrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly.

My little family had a wonderful time at Happy Hearts Park. We would 100% recommend this campground to friends and family. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The park grounds, the bathrooms and pool were well kept. Everything was clean and maintained.

We chose to camp here because of all the negative reviews from people who were kicked out or had their reservation canceled due to "attitude" and "behaviour" and the matter of fact responses from owners. We are glad we did! Everyone was respectful and peaceful. As a business owner myself, I respect that the owners take full advantage of their right to choose their campers.

Thank you so much to the staff for providing such a great camping experience. My only wish is that I could have my coffee looking out at the water. But I know that "you can't have it all" and Happy Hearts was the next best thing.

Location is good, near Tobermory and The Grotto. The showers are $2 per person Friday to Sunday and they hay JUST 2 showers for the entire camping, they were never clean. The wood is 9$ per bag, right outside were $5 per bag. There's almost no trees in the area, we had no shadow on our site.

Only if could give zero to this place. Worst customer service ever. The lady the counter said yes for camping and then she flipped. I am not returning back and I would recommend everyone to not to visit this place ever again. I haven’t experienced this rude behaviour towards customer.

If you are running a business, you need to know how to treat a customer. The way you talk to us was not acceptable. That’s not how you run a business. If you could have told us at the start of conversation we would have left on a good note. But first you said yes to us and then you flipped. THIS IS UNFAIR AND WRONG.

Cool campsite, great rates and good amenities. Good for family and friends to get together and have a good time.

Been here 3 days with a group of 9 5 children 10 and under 4 adults.the staff were beyond pleasant and the bathrooms are spotless.this is our 2nd time coming here we will be coming back once a year forsure

It has great activities. Friendly. But needs to open earlier for morning coffee. And 2 dolllar shower needs to take all change pls but great experience

Great location for tent camping. Washrooms were clean, and a nice touch of free showers through the week. The owners are very attentive to their customers.

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits, le camping est bien situé, les emplacements sont grands et intimes. Nous avons juste eut un voisin très bruyant jusqu’à tard dans la nuit sinon c’est calme. Le prix est aussi un point négatif (nous avons trouvé moins cher à services équivalents). Les sanitaires étaient corrects mais sans plus. Tobermory est tout proche en voiture ou en vélo. Le stationnement pour la grotto est également proche.

To be honest I was a bit skeptical when I read the reviews but I went ahead to give it a try anyways as it was Canada Day long weekend and nothing else was available. The experience actually turned out to be the opposite of most of the reviews I've read- amazing place and very close to the center of everything, very polite and helpful staff. It was my wife's first time camping and she loved every bit of it. I'd definitely come back next year and highly recommend this place to everyone!
