The food is ok. But 1. There is a charge for takeaway boxes, please note. 2. Please check the bill after checkout. Why do you charge a 15% tip when there is no service? I poured the water myself, took the napkins myself, and packed the bags myself. Hello? Service means cooking the dishes and serving them, right? If this requires me to tip, then just serve undercooked dishes. Thank you. Food is ok taste. However 1. They charge for take out containers. Please bring your own container. 80 cents per container. 2. Always check your receipt. Tips is included mandatory 15%. However no service is provided. I picked up napkins and containers all by myself. The only service is that they cooked the food and bring them to the table. If I need to pay tips for that, I will cook and serve myself!

Worrying food hygiene! I ordered a delivery today, and I almost swallowed this wire and it cut my throat.

They don’t show the bill before swiping the card, and tipping is mandatory…. I strongly demanded to see the bill before giving it to me. As expected, there was something wrong with the bill. There was no rice and I still had to pay for it. The attitude was very bad when I asked for a refund of 2 yuan for rice, and no tax refund was given. Never again! ! !

This is a great restaurant that serves food from the north of China. It's not the same as the Cantonese food that you usually get in Canada. If you're open to a different style of Chinese food, you'll love it.

We come here often to eat. It is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. It specializes in northern Chinese food which is a different style. Don't expect to come here and order chicken balls (which is a very western dish- not authentic at all). We really enjoy their specialities such as the fish and sauerkraut stew. Their sweet and sour pork is delicious too (the meat was lean and not fatty which I prefer). My children love their corn pancakes.

The restaurant is clean, spacious, and staff are friendly. Our food was hot when served and portions are good. We had plenty of leftovers.

I am originally from Toronto so have high expectations when it comes to eating at a chinese restaurant and this place ticks my boxes.

Got to try some new dishes and the quality of the food was really good. A little expensive but that's the price of feeling good after leaving instead of an upset stomach

Food was delicious, and felt authentic. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant beyond typical westernized Chinese food, this is the place!
It had really good portion sizes in person. We previously got take out and were a bit disappointed by the sizes - in person the sizes seemed much larger and great value.
Will definitely be coming back again.

Quality Chinese food. Clean restaurant.

We came here for dinner as it is a short walk from Brookstreet Hotel where we are staying.

Ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and Eggplant (good), Stir Fried Beef with Oyster Sauce (very good), Sichuan Pork Intestine (good), and Sauerkraut Stewed Pork Belly and Tofu (very good). With 2 additional servings of plain rice, the bill came to ~$97 before tips (including taxes).

Portions are not huge but taste matters more to us.

The specialty of this store is casserole. I ordered casserole and found out that this is the worst casserole I have ever eaten

Food is great, the Szechuan fish in hot oil, and wood ear and Bok Choy in black vinegar are really good in particular, just the right amount of spice for us. Couldn't resist getting the kung pao chicken, it's sweet and a tiny bit spicy, not like other places in town, I liked it personally. Dishes are great for sharing. We've also had the Shanghai noodles and beef tenderloin as takeout and they are also good. Will definitely eat here again, nice change from the other more "Americanized Chinese" style restaurants.

It was awful. We threw it all out after a couple of bites. Spring rolls and rice was unbelievably bad, and the other pork dishes had a ton of sauce and just not edible. We had to make dinner instead. $65 all went in the garbage.

First and last time. Very disappointed. Ordered the Szechuan chicken from this restaurant but I felt cheated. They gave me spicy chicken joints instead of Szechuan chicken. They guy who takes the order doesn't know English. Order through uber, not the phone. I called back and they offered to give me a free dish next time so changing the stars to 2 but it still doesnt make up for ruining my lunch. I will not take the free dish nor order from here again.
