Harbour Tower

I lived here for 6 months and had to move out as I hardly stayed at my overpriced apartment due to the fact a neighbor above me had serious anger issues, causing disruptions constantly by yelling and cursing all throughout the night, he allowed his dog to pee over his balcony which then cascaded down onto mine, there was always bugs and cockroaches in the hallways, you could literally hear the rodents running through the walls, and one of the elevators was always down! Also the bathrooms share a vent so my bathroom ALWAYS smelt like nasty stale cigarette smoke and I don’t even smoke! They try to refresh the apartments by adding pant, new cabinets, and flooring but you can tell they are still old and unkept! I wasted so much money for this horrible building and HIGHLY recommend anyone considering to move here, DONT! And if you are shown unit 402, be warned that the neighbor above in unit 502 is an absolute terror! He screamed and banged on my door one night after I had asked him to not have his dog pee off the side of the balcony. After this traumatizing event when brought to managements attention they did not do a thing about it except reassure me their legal team would intervene… which they did not! So disappointing and they trick you into thinking it’s a great place to live but it absolutely is not! BE WARNED. This building is horrendous!

If you’re thinking of moving to 35 Brock street, I’d rethink it. They slap some paint on old apartments and jacked the rent up by $1200 more. Enjoy bed bugs, cockroaches and getting your stuff stolen from your front door and car broken into even if you pay the $90 underground parking fee. Also people shooting up in the lobby, laundry room and stair cases. Run. Fast.

Edit to add to the CVL comment: we moved out. Y’all suck. $2300 PLUS HYDRO (we paid 1,100 all included) for that apartment and you tried to evict and sell out all the people living there before so you can make more. Absolutely awful. Be ashamed. Also check on your employees because they steal packages.

Shannon is extremely good at her job. She is efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. She went the extra mile in helping me find an apartment.

Been here 10 yrs. Through about 8 managers. This yr.has been terrible. Use to see halls washed at least once a week, now stuff will lie there for days. Pigs living here now. Contacted maintenance month ago for roach treatment, still heard nothing. 7 visitor parking, Yea OK. More like NONE. Right now 1 spot. Car that's been in visitors for months, taxis
At least 2. Another car parking in visitors for 2 yrs now at least and rest are parked in visitors everyday and night. We pay for parking, why are they parking in visitors for free.

I love these apts and staff was very helpful and love the views of water snd city especially during sunset

The entire move in experience went smoothly. A Beautiful view makes it all worth it! Very clean and inviting. I recommend this complex!

Watch your head people throw piss jugs and clay pots off there balconies onto the parking lot. Twice a year our apartment floods severely. All thy do is paint the halls with this toxic smelling paint, delayed repair we waiting a week with water coming out of our light socket before the came over also week later and still have the hole they left behind

We love our apartment, and thanks to Hayley, our move-in process was quick and painless.
We have since had a few minor concerns, And Hayley together with maintenance were very prompt with responding and listening to us.
Would definitely recommend the 35 Brock St apartments!

We are still moving in our brand new apartment at 600 John Street North. Praise for the wonderful HAYLEY! It is absolutely wonderful and joyful experience we ever had. Cause she is confident and knowledgeable. Cause she is will work with potential tenants from first meeting till the end. Cause she is available to help and answer any questions 24/7. And personally for us she is an amazing, energetic, always smiling, simply great person to deal with. Thank you so so much! Marina and Ken.

Thanks to Hayley, we were able to get our first apartment and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us and show us the ropes!

The building is amazing! The staff keep it VERY clean I have seen them cleaning the elevators and halls at least once a day!

Apartments are kept very nice when moving in and are great at keeping all noises out! Have heard next to nothing when it comes to other people in their apartments!

We had a really good move in experience at 600 John Street North. Hayley was extremely helpful and prompt, made the move in much easier and less stressful.

During the week between Christmas and New Year's there was a maintenance issue. I contacted Mitch Sharpe via email; his reply email stated he was away and to contact Hamiton Admin which I did. Within a few hours Mitch replied the issue would be looked after. The next day team member Ian arrived and fixed the problem promptly. My son was there and said Ian was "awesome". There were some bumps during the ownership transfer, but I have found Mitch (who is at the Grandville location) and/or Hamilton Admin to be very quick to respond and wonderful to deal with. Good job people and a BIG thank you. Not so much to the call centre people at Guelph and Missisauga though.

Bug infested, poor management, hallways are not cleaned proper. Not one staff member has done a decent job since I moved in. Never move in here $1500 for a two bedroom. Place is worth $1000 tops. I will be moving out when my lease is up very soon. Last note they will lie to cover their butts, have done it to me twice now.

Beautiful apartments by the water. Incredible view of the city and harbour. Underground parking. Close to public transportation. Closest grocery store is about 20 min away on foot. Idk what everyone else is complaining for. What do you expect for under $1000 in a location like this?

I've got news for you people they are not as bad as Q RESIDENTIAL. Take my word for it. I'm going back to homestead or some other property management company.

The hallways are dirty.cleaned mine myself.the supers and managers need to do there jobs they live out side smoking or in the office laughing and talking never see them clean. They need new people to take care and clean the building up I'm giving my notice I hate dirty building.people do your job or get out we pay good rent for what we deserve.just get out and let someone in that will clean and take care of both building because you guys don't want to.

I am currently renting an apartment at 187 park st @ hamilton homestead property. For the past three months we are struggling with mice in our apartment, I catched 12 mice & there are still more! I notified the building manager 5 times & they essentially did nothing to help us get rid of the mice. Guys just avoid renting with them!

Pros:
- Decent sized apartment
- Good view
- Lots of natural light
- Rent is on the cheaper side

Cons:
- Strong marijuana smells leaking in apartment from other units, need to keep bathroom and closet doors closed to contain some of smell
- Cigarette smell leaking in from other units in kitchen
- Cock roaches problems, coming into apartment from openings to other units.
- Unit always on the cold side, we are always wrapped in a blanket to keep warm. Controlled by Homestead
- 50/50 chance of there being hot water for doing things like dishes
- People always smoking on the balcony, so unless you love the smell of cigarettes, windows must stay closed even during heat of summer
- Fire alarms that are activated once every 2 weeks on average, last time it happened it was at 4am.
- Windows never cleaned, dirty when moved in. I can clean some of them, but some are unreachable so those will just be dirty probably forever
- Parking isn't guaranteed even when you pay, someone may just steal your dedicated spot.
- We got lucky with a neighbour that blast music from 8 am to 11 pm a lot of days, ignores door knocks
