When we decided to have vinyl flooring installed we had felt it important to support our local businesses so that is how we came to find Hardwood Giant in Scarborough. We were welcomed by Mr. Maqbool Janjua and his staff. All our questions were answered immediately. We were also able to secure a really great price. We were contacted by the installers quickly and chose a day convenient to us for installation. The installers arrived on time. They were respectful quick and tidy. We would definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

Great store. Great selection with reasonable prices. Maqbool (sale manager) is great.he is very knowledgeable and friendly. He allows you time to look around and won’t push you to buy. I will buy from Maqbool again in the future.

I've purchased flooring and baseboard twice from Maqbool at HG Scarborough because he's a one-of-a-kind person: great character, always kind and aiming to please, will bend over backwards to make you and your family happy, and he's generous. Maqbool makes you feel good and informed about making such a large purchase.

On top of that, HG Scarborough regularly has great deals/promos, and never has a problem with shipping within a week.

Purchased vinyl plank flooring from them 2 years ago, installation was terrible right from the start had to have them back in to correct and now the floors are cracking in the corners and the planks are separating sent emails after emails nothing but a runaround. Do not purchase vinyl plank from this company

The store manager Maqbool is an awesome honest and great person. Their products were second to none and look amazing in my renovated apartment. Their prices is much lower than the famous stores. Amazing! I wish them more and more business everyday!

I would recommend Hardwood Giant Scarborough. I visited multiple flooring stores for my home renovation, Hardwood Giant provides very good price with quality products. Store manager Maqbool is very professional, I should have listened to him to purchase 10% more than my contractor measured, but I purchased what my contractor told me, at the end I have to revisit the store to order one more box.

Bad idea! They make you pay for the wood before they survey your house. Its is their trick. The sales person and the "surveyor" promise best quality floors, a "warranty" and their "best" crew. None of that materializes. BEST FLOORING: At the store they show you a maple sample that does not show the length of the boards. Fancy flooring has mostly long boards. They sent me maple floors with lots of shorter pieces, which they hid because they sent the wood the same day it was installed. Best practices require that installers have the wood acclimate for 48 hours. BEST CREW? The crew was a ragtag bunch of younger guys out of which only one actually did most of the work. He only works for them only part-time. They installed 3/8 inch ply which the company sent instead of the 1/2" they charged for. My floor now creaks with every step. The crew lead "helper" used a blunt saw blade so he burned the ends of everything he cut. The rooms smelled like fire for days. They installed an overpriced transition strip in oak, claiming it was custom made, which is wrong for the maple flooring. The stairs nosing was also not matching the colour and finish. WARRANTY: They ask you to sign a sheet that says you are happy with the awful service. I did not sign it so they refuse to honour their "warranty. " Did they return the money that they charged wrongly or act on the low quality of the installation? After weeks of being given the run-around, I called the Ontario consumer protection office, and sent them a letter that eventually made them return the money they had overcharged me. Did they come fix the disaster? NO. I am still waiting.

Amazing and friendly customer service so happy with our chooce to get our luxury vinyl flooring from here, we got a really fair price. Tips for buyers: Please understand all aspect of materials and costs prior to your order. Ask questions and make sure you know what are the associated tasks and costs with the flooring assignment. Save yourself and HG from the hassle and unexpected increase in the final bill.

I read good reviews about this place and went to check out flooring for my basement, as soon as I walked into the store I was welcomed by Gentlemen name Maqbool. He gave me his professional advice on type of floor I needed for my basement. When I first entered the store at Hardwood giant Scarborough I met a compassionate gentleman by the name of Mr. Maqbool Janjua. He was very welcoming and offered me a coffee. I was quite delighted for not a lot of stores do that. Mr. Maqbool is very kind, also he showed me his showcase on affordable and best quality hardwood flooring for the price. I'm not familiar with flooring because it was my first time ordering and with simplicity he went over with me what is needed for installation and again good quality material that is very durable such as under padding. Maqbool, the manager, was not only very helpful, but a true gentleman. He first guided my wife and I
through the showroom for the hardwood, explained the differences between products, answered all
of our questions, and best of all, outlined the discounts and specials. We saved a lot thanks to him.
Secondly, he made sure we were comfortable, offering us cookies and coffee, and engaged in social
conversation. In these times, it's rare that you walk out of a place feeling welcomed and so good.

In addition, of all the other hardwood stores that we could have went to, we're glad that we chose this store without any further searching, as they have such a vast selection of products and price specials.
At the moment, Maqbool is helping us with getting the installation done. We will advise everyone

If you are looking for great quality flooring, look no further. Hardwood Giant has a variety of beautiful flooring at reasonable costs that are easy to install. We just bought our first home and the renovation process has been very stressful, however, Maqbool put all our anxiety to rest. We had to change our delivery address and Maqbool was able to support our request without hesitation. Maqbool is honest, kind, considerate and incredibly helpful. We are thrilled with the support Maqbool provided and are so happy with our flooring.

I've owned 5 homes so far, and I've renovated every one of them at some point. I can honestly say that Maqbool is one of the most helpful, most understanding, most accommodating, and most delightful to buy from. I called before going there, and right from the initial call, I felt his amazing energy, spirit, and candidness. I had to come down and meet this man, who turned out to be an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only that, but I'm certain that I've now made a good friend. The store was closing, but he stayed open just to help us get it done!

I purchased a vinyl & hardwood flooring at Scarborough back in June 2020.
Maqbool was very helpful in giving us a discount on the products we like. I'll recommend Hardwood Giant to my friends if ever they will upgrade their flooring since their are various options/color available. I'm sure he will be able to guide/help other customers as well. I got the flooring work done for two floors. I am satisfied with the work done. But while doing the flooring work, the installers had removed the doors and put it back. After the installers were gone, one of the doors just fall out, which means the door was not re-installed properly. When I called back they said that they cannot do anything about it now and that this was not part of the invoice. I think this is very unprofessional work. The door was perfectly fine before and they have spoiled it now, which will now cost me to fix it.

It was pleasent dealing with Magbool at this location in Scarborough, allowed us to take sample to match with our current floor. Cost of the hardwood was less expensive than the other store. Delivery was on time. The driver offloaded 40 sq.feet of hardwood at exact location I asked.

Went to the Scarborough location for pricing for a new LVT flooring throughout my mom condo. Maqbool was beyond exceptional, my parents were very happy with his services. I totally recommend Hardwood Giant and if you can get Maqbool to assist you, you and your flooring project will be in good hands.

Hardwood Giant Scarborough is a better place for laminate n hardwood works. I got a very good deal through manager Maqbool Janjua for laminate flooring and hardwood for my townhouse. I found him very cooperative and able to address the customer's concerns effectively. The work was completed nicely even though I couldn't get the installation date of my choice.

Didn’t purchase anything from here. Came by to look at different laminate options. The man working there kept referring to me as “girl” whenever he needed to show me something. Very weird. I did a lot of laminate research and asked about the ratings for some on display and he said they were all the same rating. They were not. The laminate on display had stickers on the corner with the AC3 or AC4 ratings. Don’t think he really understood what the ratings are or what they mean.

Save yourself the time and skip these guys. They couldn't even handle a small order of 375 sq.feet. Ordered Fri.and they promised that I could pick up on Wed. I called Wed morning at 10: 00 to tell them I was on my way and they informed me that the driver hadn't delivered the flooring yet. I asked when they expected the flooring to be at the store and they wouldn't give me a time. Finally Kamran said between 3 and 5: 30. I called at 5: 00 and the flooring was still not there. I told the clerk it was too late and my driver was going home could pick up the next morning and he said that would be fine. At 5: 45 the driver for Hardwood Giant calls me wondering where I live. I said he was supposed to drop the flooring at the store where was to pick up. I told him I had already made arrangements top pick up in the morning. Then at 6: 00 Kamran calls to tell me the flooring is there can I come and pick it up. I said I had made arrangements with the other clerk earlier to pick up in the morning. Kamran hung up on me.

I bought my laminate from this store, and already regretted. The salesperson is the rudest person I never met. They called me at 10: 30 in the morning to go to pick it up at 1: 00 the product, very short notice.if you can get your products somewhere else do it. Not worth to be treated badly with the awful service. Does not deserve a star.

I just return some product in store. The sales manager Mr. Maqbool is very warm to help me to resolve my problem and the resolute is out of my expectation. It's very good shopping experience. Thank you very much.
