Good Friendly staff, Parking was a Little Pricey but glad it was a secure Parking lot so it's understandable, Happy with the Convenience.

First ever women and kids canoe trip and back country camping! Great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff! Ask a million questions and they will answer every single one! Thank you James for having faith and confidence in us! Quinton you are our hero! Thank you for rescuing us! And Steve, thank you for bringing us our straggler. Great memories made! I have used Hartley on a few occasions to set out or end at on canoe trips. I truly appreciate their service, knowledgeable and all around great disposition. They are dog friendly and overall just great energies for all the people!

Parking was reasonably priced and they have a side by side running back and forth to the dock to help with any gear from your vehicle. Very nice people and tons of slips!

Very friendly staff and great docks. Kayak launches would be a great add to their docks though.

HB Marina makes it very easy to park up & launch out on the canoes. I have only amazing experiences up here.

I did the full day canoe rental, the staff were very friendly and helpful l, we had a great time!

We used Hartley Bay Marina as a launch point for our kayaking trips on the French River. The owner/office staff were very helpful with maps and suggestions and the launch staff were terrific at getting is in and out of the water effortlessly. We took some time to watch how efficiently they moved boats in and out of the water and their friendly attitude throughout. We plan on returning here soon.

Beautiful getaway not to far from sudbury! There cottages were very nice with lots of space for us to sit outside and enjoy the nature around. There is a boat launch that is accessible for a fee, with all day parking. Beautiful water access to French river with enough space to tube or do some small water sports. Everyone I came into contact with durring my visits here was really friendly, and the staff are very helpful. There are maps of the French river available so even if it's your first time visiting you will be sure to find something fun and cool to look at! This marina is one of a kind! 100% will recommend and will be comming back ️

They are very inflexible when it comes to canoe rentals. Its very odd not to allow people to take the boats up the mouth of the French River to do a full trip, very disappointing service from this marina.

The overall price is a too expensive (canoe are more expensive than others outfitters in Ontario + you pay for parking at their car park + you pay to launch you canoe from their docks)
They benefit from being the only outfitter in the area

However we did not like the rental policies: if you rent two days and decide to stay one day longer (you bring back the canoe after 10 AM) you pay three days
If you rent the canoe three days and bring them back before 10 they don't consider it 2 days. So they push you to plan a short trip and extend it rather than shortened your stay.

It doesn't make any sense from a client point of view

It's alright, steeper price for parking compared to other places plus the launching fee, but they are on the water so it seems fair.

Did not let me refund extra days of parking when my trip was cut short

Stayed 2 nights in the 2 bedroom cottage, includes parking and.boat launch. Cottage was clean and staff friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

We picked up our French River permits here and left our car at the marina. The guy working at the front desk was a real character and was a lot of fun to talk to.

They take your car keys and park your car if you're leaving your car there and you have to pay a fee for the time you're out there. The silver lining is that you don't have to bring your keys with you out on the river.

They lent my buddy a life jacket because he forgot his at home.

My wife called them in a panic after my buddy went down with heat exhaustion out on the river and the guy on the phone talked her through how to get help for us. They followed up with her after she got things moving.

I'd use this access point to the river again and would recommend them to anyone. I'm sure they're also a treat to deal with if you're using them to put your motor boat in the water as well.

Amazing people. So very helpful and informative. First class service. Helped us out after a 5 hour detour, found us a place to camp, offered us water for overnight and gave great advice for our canoe trip. Highly recommended as you can see.

One of their workers sent us to camp sites that were literally covered in mid and marsh. Upon our return we tell them of the conditions of the site and he tells us "those sites were under water a week ago". Then not sure why he would send us on a 2 hour canoe trip to sites that were under water a week ago.smh

We booked our canoes for a long weekend canoe trip from Hartley Bay - they were amazing! We felt very safe leaving our car here for the weekend, and they provided great advice before we set off. We also completely forgot hot dog buns, so the woman went to her freezer and got us a pack so that we could enjoy our hotdogs when we got to our site!

Great place Hartley Bay Marina best place to access the lower French River either with a cannoe Kayak or motor boat, I recommend staying right at the Marina in of of there cottages just on top and overlooking the marina where there is lots of room to park a boat. They launch the boats for you so you can sit back and relax. Lots of camp sits with in a days cannoe ride. Fishing is great with Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and Musky. Chance to see lots of wild life from Eagles, Moose, Black Bears, Elk, Dear, Beavers, and much more. So sit back, crack a cold one and experience the true outdoors French River style. Special Thanks to James and his crew, see yous all next year eh!

Was an easy portage, though rather hilly. The water trampoline was quite nice. Very fuj, especially with the ash raining down on us as we sat waiting to be evacuated from our 12 day out trip. At one point a man came up to us and asked, “do you know what to do in case of an emergency procedure? ” we were like “uhhhh no? ” And he said, “if the flames come over that hill *points to hilltop* rum and jump off that cliff into the river” we exchanged glances. “Take your lifers too, ” he said “you wanna float” he was v sketchy, but all in all we met a hot counsellor from another camp, which made it worth our while.
