Harvey's / Swiss Chalet

I stopped going to the Swiss Chalet about ten years ago because of the fast-growing chicken (with all the health implications) that they serve. And ten years later, they are still on the same formula. Service was excellent from a nice mature lady. Plus one star for being against age discrimination. Music was too loud, more suited for a sports bar. $30 for a drink, double legs dinner and tips. See you in ten years.

We had a wonderful meal and our server Barbara was outstanding! She was very efficient and one of the loveliest people I have met. She radiated warmth and caring and made our lunch an absolute joy. Thank you so much

First time ever in my life here at Swiss Chalet, unforgettable experience. Professional, kind and very polite waitress, she put us at ease in a few seconds, served us with friendliness. We ordered beef sandwiches, with potatoes on the side, and their two gravies. There
Impeccable quality and the food arrived quickly and hot. To finish, two coffees (incredibly good considering the average for the city) and a very fresh and delicious chocolate fudge cake. An experience to be repeated on a weekly basis as far as I'm concerned.

The best meal, service and relaxed atmosphere of any Swiss chalet we have been to for a long time. Thanks so much.

First off I would like to say the food was fantastic, service was amazing the wait time was almost non existent. The atmosphere was great. I recommend the poutine and chicken wings my kids loved them. Everything was a 10/10 I highly recommend.

The service and food at this Swiss Chalet location are always excellent. I don't repeat restaurants often but I make an exception for this one. A+

I been coming to this Swiss chalet for many years. I never had a bad experience here at all. My server Asmara was been nothing but amazing. The manager Julia is always been great. I would recommend everyone to come to this location.

Food was delicious as usual but they wouldn't let us use our coupon that clear said take out or dine in. There was also no only at participating locations line on the coupon. The waitres wouldn't get her manager just Said that's what I was told sorry. Also she spoke very softly and we could barely make out what she was saying.

Truly pathetic. If Cara Foods saw what this branch's quality turned out to be. Better yet, if a Harvey's executive walked up to the unwelcoming, death staring cashier- they would truly reconsider going to their competitors. This has been the worst takeout dining experience of my existence. (And no, I didn't ask for 3 fluid ounces of garlic mayo to sog up my sandwich.)

I enjoyed dinner here this evening with some friends, the first time in 2 years. They have new and updated uniforms, dishes, glasses, and menus, all very nice. The staff was warm, welcoming and efficient. For over 40 years, I've been ordering the same thing - 1/4 chicken dinner, white meat, with fries and, most times, it's good. Tonight's meal was exceptional! The chicken was tender and juicy and the fries hot and crispy. Even the bun was extra fresh. I would definitely recommend this location.

Highly unprofessional staff of Harveys. Not only one person, but everyone over there is mean and speaks rudely. They simply dont know how to attend customers. No manners at all. Very very Disappointed.

For what it is, it works. The taste and meal is the same every time and it’s comfort food not haute cuisine. Gravy is great and my boys love your fries. Thanks

Just got a strange"" reply from the owner for my three star review. I went to this location recently the staff was accommodating in the beginning then disappeared near the end where we had to seek someone to request payment. Chicken was mediocre, baked potato slightly hard, soup and pierogies were salty. Thus the 3 star review

Check your drive through order before you leave as something is going to be wrong with it. I have been here a few times (apparently I can't learn my lesson) and every time something is wrong with the order. Also, the drive through takes 20-30 minutes on a good day so make sure you bring a book.

Service was great and so was the food. There was some kind if ant infestation in our booth and the salt shaker had dead ants on the bottom. Yum!

Anytime you order from the drive-through it takes a million years. They always tell you to park up no matter how small your order is. What's the point in a drive through

This location is By far the worst location I have ever ordered from the food is always cold or they don't put your food in the bag properly witch leads to drinks spilling on food, they hand out the wrong orders to other dash drivers, the girl who answers the phone during the day is super rude all the time my 1 star is from multiple times I have had bad service

100% satisfied! I went in this past Friday with my daughter for dinner. The waitress was friendly and kept coming over to our table to see if we were okay. She was tipped very well. Restaurant always clean and family inviting, I love this location.

Loved the food here! Service was fast and friendly. The chicken was soft and tender. Cheesecake was delicious.

I wish i can give 0 stars to this harveys worst service ever. So i had around 2300 scene points and asked to redeem this lady scanned 2 times but after 10 min waiting said oh “scene is down at the moment” I paid full amount and when i got home i was only left with 700. WHERE are my points gone? YOU GUYS ARE BIG SCAMMERS. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Had a craving for some chicken so decided to stop by this location as they have a drive thru. Placed the order online and picked up when they opened. Got home and ugggh over cooked refried Fries were greasy the rice was horrible not like the photo uncle Ben's would be better so sad check your orders before you leave I wish there was a zero stars

Ordered pickup on a few occasions. Orders were often late, or missing items. I now drive an extra 5km to the Bloor St. Kingsway location, they have better service. Won't eat here if the kids didn't want it.

So rude staff no customer service dirty kitchen they not using gloves? For 1 sandwich it’s take 45 minutes and no other customers all the staff using cell phones when I ask about my food she is about to fight I think they all are sick I never go back in this place and I let my family and friends know don’t go this crazy place

Swiss Chalet is pure Canadian gold. A Canadian institution since 1954.
I had the quarter chicken dinner. It was satisfyingly delicious. Service was quick, and friendly. Best is that it accepts Scene card.

Worst restaurant. Online order and in store order line is same.why someone should wait even ordering online? Staff is also unprofessional don't know how to speak and co operate.i waited their for 15 minutes then went to another side of Swiss chalet (dine in) and they said u have to wait their when i said they didn't check my order no i m waiting from 15 minutes he said people are waiting from more than 30 minutes. If this is how u guys treat and talk its better to shut off the restaurant.

They got my drive thru order wrong, again. I ordered a burger, fries, no ketchup. Simple order. I got a burger, NO fries, and 8 or 9 ketchup packets. I didn't notice until I pulled away from the window, so I had to park the car and walk in to the restaurant to get the fries. That's when I noticed the cook, with long blond hair, wearing no hair net. Then I noticed no one was wearing hair nets. I just don't think they care.

Staff was welcoming and very nice.food tastes delicious and I love coming too this location because whoever makes the chicken wings know what they doing cause they are fried perfectly and the ribs too no other Swiss chalet has wings like these whoever the cook is you are a master chef

Whoever own this restaurant please pay attention towards your employees behaviour and on your management.this is a combined restaurant (harvey& swiss chalet) so please separate the pickup orders (uber, online mobile orders) and (in store) orders and always keep at least 2 employees at front just to take orders specially in busy time between 5-7 pm.

One of the best locations there is. Good customer and the food is cooked to standard especially the ribs* on point.

Would give it a zero if I could. Hostess stand was rude. We had a group of 7 and they wouldn’t serve us unless we spent $12 per person. Never heard of such poor customer service! Their only concern is $$$$. I recommend avoiding this place.

Quality wise this place holds itself to the same level as any Swiss chalet however be prepared to wait. It's always busy and it does take a while to get your order. Worth the wait though!

Great service, super polite waitress. The food was good, but I asked for mild sauce and I got a super Spice sauce.

The beautiful Saturday night dinner with my family was ruined by not having my fries as we ordered. I had to finish the meal still hungry. I hope this mistake is never repeated.

This location takes kind of long and when I received the burgers, it was a bit smashed. Food is good, but if you're ordering in person or on Uber eats then you're gonna wait a bit of time.

The food was fine but the wait time was ridiculously long. I ordered on the app specifically so it would be ready when I got there. I arrived at the suggested time provided by the app and still had to wait 25 minutes for my order.

I have enjoyed going to Swiss Chalet for over 40 years when visiting family in Canada. It never disappoints.

Is not having people sitting down yet. It's a very slow place. Instead of waiting in line watching them making your burger. You have to tell them what you want on your burger at the cash register. The plase could be faster. Took them 20 minutes to get our order. They messed up our burgers and we had to wait for them to make another one. At least they gave us an extra poutine.

Update: Harvey's contacted me to make up for the experience and it's been better since then. Updating from 1 star to 3.

Worst Harvey's in Canada!

The staff here couldn’t care less about the customer. I know covid has been hard but it doesn’t mean you can stroll around and ignore my sandwich under heat lamp for 5 minutes while I’m waiting to stock lettuce.when I asked if someone could dress my sandwich they acted like it was an inconvenience to be asked to work.absolutely terrible.figure it out Harvey’s.

Worst service, I stood there for like 3-4 min and no one came to take my order and I had to stop and ask someone to take my order. The girl who was making sandwiches was soo slow, she didn’t label the veg sandwich and no napkins inside the bag. I am not going to visit this location ever again.

Ordered a drive thru pick up only for them to make me wait for 10 minutes, then sent to the curbside pickup and wait for another 20 minutes. Then they forget a part of my order and mess up the one that they do get. Spent an hour here for nothing.

Halina has amazing energy and conversation enjoyed the service, had a great time even though I was in a rush; hope she keeps up the great work; we need more like her in the hospitality world!

I Usually come to this swiss once a week whenever I take my Harley out. Theres closer restaurants near by but this one just hits different. Im one of the few who loves the food and I haven’t had a bad experience here. Staff are very kind and hardworking. Always an amazing meal.

Went through drive through and the transaction went pretty smooth. The issue I had was when taking a sip of my drink, it was carbonated water instead of the 7up I requested.

Unprofessional staff rude behaviour and unhygienic food chicken patty was still cold after you order cripsy chicken. Doesn't know how to make sandwiches properly even after giving them instructions. Wastage of time and money on this location. Please, Try another location.

Awful service. The staff are rude, slow, and refuse to show even basic manners. "Please, thank you, sorry, excuse me, " and simple forms of respect are completely lost on these puffed up employees.

They were really busy. So there was a bit of a wait. But they did what they needed, and kept the line moving. Great joba

1130pm and we waited for over 10 minutes for our food, I know bc I turned off the engine while we waited and the lights turn off after 10 minutes. I went up and the two girls were standing talking, saw me coming and pulled out the bag like they were juuuust about to bring it to me. Half the food was cold. Absolutely unacceptable, I could have waited in the 9 car lineup at the mcdonalds next door and gotten out in the same time with hot food.

PAINFULLY SLOW Uber Eats delivery time. Once again I'm third in line for delivery because driver has stops along the way He turned off his GPS so I couldn't see him making previous deliveries. Ordered at 3: 03pm. Driver assigned at 3: 25pm. Estimated arrival at 3: 50pm. Time got bumped up to 4: 00pm. Then dropped to 3: 57pm. Now it's 3: 52pm. Food arrived at 3: 52 p.m. Latest arrival 420pm. My food is going to be freezing cold and soggy by the time it gets here. Burger and fries an hour later after it was cooked? Yuck Next time I'm ordering McDonald's it only takes 25 minutes. The driver was friendly and explained to me that it's Uber Eats adding on deliveries. Food was cold on arrival. Burger was soggy inside from the toppings. Onion rings were cold and rock hard.

Like the staff members make the food very spicy without asking me and show rude behaviour when i asked to change drink because they didn’t ask while taking order

1. I love Harvey’s burger. Drive - thru 3 times a week for my favourite burger.
2. But I am seriously concerned that the cashier is handling payment is also packing and making drinks.
No hand sanitizer use in between. (I cannot see from the window). I love Harvey’s and eating here a few times a week is a big treat for me.
3. Your location is my favourite to go to. Please consider changes to ensure cashier is taking extra caution.
Drinks / Food are not prepared by the same hand touching cash and debit machines.
Protect your customers and your staffs. I want to continue to come back and feel confident eating your delicious burger in my car without a doubt.

Restaurant was very clean and staff were continuously cleaning tables and surfaces. Excellent service, virtually no wait for food and it was exactly as anticipated and requested.

Worse service I've experience today. The cashier/ manager was very rude. I think she was the manager since she's the only one amongst the crew that's not in uniform.

We asked about the 3 for 5 dollar deal. She flatt out said. " no that deal is over"
Not even apologized, worse of all she grab the flyer I was holding to look at it at and said again, no that deal is over.without offering any alternative.

Where does this establishment get their employees from? Then when we ordered she was rushing us. Very rude with an attitude. Save yourselves the grief don't go to this restaurant.

Usually go there always find nice taste. Food is always fresh and place is clean. It been really good to visit here anytime. Also the staff is good with the help always provide me what i want everytime. Service is also really fast.

I've had my fair share of bad customer service but when it comes down to managers showing attitude and bad customer service thats a problem. I visited this restaurant and ordered from both swiss chalet and harveys, i recieved my swiss chalet and my harveys order was sitting under the hot light waiting to be garnished while the manager stood on drive thru laughing with the staff that were handaling drive thru and texting on her phone, and the young lady was still at the cashier taking orders but as she finished she came over and apologized for the wait and garnished my food. I asked her to speak to the manager; as i she walked up and told the manager she walked to the back and came out around 10 minutes later. I then confronted her and asked why i had to wait longer than usual and she replied saying "the garnisher was busy" i asked why she hadnt done my order rather than being on the phone and laughing and she respnded that she was busy and began with the attitude saying that what she was doing on her phone shouldnt concern me and walked off. I later asked a staff her name which is anistasa.i understand that managers are not supossed to do the same work as workers but it seems like the works have far more manners and customer service than the managers.besides from this the food is excellent and i will revist to see if there is any improvements!

Terrible service. Took 10 minutes to get my 2 original hamburgers. People who were behind me were being served their burgers and I was told they were coming when clearly they were being served before me. When I finally got the burgers they were dry and tasteless. The worst burgers I have ever had from a Harvey's and pretty much the worst burgers ai have even had in my life. Will never go back to this location and this experience has really made me question going back to Harvey's at any point in the near future. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I had food there first of all took long time to get my food and when I received it the food was cold over all bad experience.

We stopped by here for some chicken burgers and tried their new lite life burger as well. Both were delicious and freshly cooked. Took a little longer than most places to make the food, but it's worth the freshness and it was busy. Overall really happy with our lunch here.

Like the new look, and the food was good. Price for a kids meal (specifically the chicken strips) was more than I expected to pay. Minus a star for that.

Not what it used to be back in the late 90s. I went because it was cheapish and I had a coupon. Only saving grace is customizing your toppings.

Not very pleased at all with the speed of the drive through at this location. I entered the line (2 cars back from the speaker) at 1: 14pm. After 5 mins of no forward movement, I looked to see if I could reverse out. I was blocked in by other cars in line behind me within a minute or two and had no way to back out. I stayed in the line for another 5 mins and finally arrived at the speaker. There were approximately 5 cars from the speaker to the window and I was in no way, ready to wait another 20mins just to get a burger. There was a space to the right (between two parked cars) for me to drive out. If there are any cars in the drive through line, I don’t recommend entering. This may have been a one time situation, but I’m not willing to find out again.

Expectional customer service! With throngs of people trying to take advantage of the three items for $5 special, I really appreciated the courtesy and professionalism by staff to get everybody's order right. Especially pleased with one woman who in my books deserves the five stars.

Late night dinner on my way home from work. My burger was great. My fries were over cooked and seemed like all the pieces left over from the day. Was not pleased that I was used to clean up the days scraps.

Everyhing is great, family friendly. They even ask you what you want ib our burger! Their poutine is delightful and the desserts are delicious.

I went in and walked out after staff was to busy playing with their tablet and never making contact with the customer. The service at this location really sucks and maybe they should find better staffing.

McDonald's was having problems with their registers so they were temporarily closed, so off to Harvey's I went. My onion rings were cold and my burger and bun were all cold. The bun seemed very stale and fry, crumbly almost. I didn't realize this till I was well on my drive home and it was too late to turn back. I've worked at Harvey, eaten at Harvey's, and this location did nothing but disappoint

Ordered a combo from HARVEYS, and I got swiss chalet nasty fries.soggy and gross. Also the attitudes of the staff is bad.
