We've been to these falls a few times now. My son is a waterfall enthusiast and decided that for his 10th birthday he'd like to bring some friends to his favourite waterfall. The hike is always lovely, and the waterfallnis absolutely stunning. A great place to splash around in the nice weather too! I don't have any pictures without children in them, so I won't be posting any at this time.

This trail is rugged and can be steep in some areas to the falls and not as easy for some. The waterfalls are nice and turn left at the sign as the smaller falls are on the right. Make sure you wear good hiking shoes.

Went mid day on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded. The trail is unmarked and found left of the trail map (the two falls on the right were dams). Lots of mosquitoes on the trail. We ended up swimming at the base of the falls and the water was nice and clear, current could be a little strong, and rocks slippery. Lovely place to visit.

I have talked about this place many times over the Covid years, and I will again, as I love it here. I have been going here for over 20 years with my children and grandchildren.

It continues to be a beautiful treasure of a trail, although its markings are somewhat faded right now. It appears a lot of trees fell over this year and last year. People are breaking their own trails and disturbing the flora and stream beds. This has to be controlled, or you will destroy this place.

My suggestions are as follows: Firstly, recut the trails, mark them well with reflectivity. People are starting to make their own trails, and this is harming the tree root system in an already fragile ecosystem. People should only use one trail and be asked to stick to it.

Secondly, build a few log or wood plank crossings as the stream feeders are getting contaminated and jammed up with debris and rocks that people are throwing in the beds. As well, stairs for the descent at the falls could reduce personal risk and mitigate damage to those beautiful trees, that would be spectacular.

Thirdly, cut some of the standing dead wood, it's a hazard and the tree fall will hurt someone in time, mark my words. Again, blaze out a clear trail and cut it safely and monitor it. People generally will not deviate from a marked trail.

Fourthly; use the downed trees as chip material to seed the trail and keep it clear of overgrowth.

There are semi rare plants (I will share two; like Medeola virginiana and pink and yellow corydalis) that are getting stomped by people in their careless wandering. That is, but two of the plants that are endangered who live and thrive in this ecosystem. You are squandering an opportunity to educate the public about these plants and preserve them for future generations. As well this trail is a treasure and has great potential to bring education to this area.

If some organization could install Q codes on posts that take people to a website that explains the history of this place, the potential for educational and historical grants would more than cover the costs to maintain this for our children. As well run an art project with the local gallery and generate even more income potential.

Crowds sometimes in the summer, but might be still worth it if you can hit it at the right time for swimming. Hiking in the fall is great.

Few people swimming May 30th, 2021.

A beautiful waterfall and swim spot. A short 8min hike in and you’ll find the most perfect swim spot. Great for kids and adults alike.

Took a nice walk along this beautiful trail once again. Spent some time comiserating with the energy of the water. A few people along the way. Not to busy, but be aware it can be very busy here so not the most covid safe trail for walking.

Excellent place for a hike. Especially in warmer weather. Can swim in the river and under the falls.

Went in mid Oct. Trail to the falls was wet, slippery and muddy.
I got very close to the falls and it was quiet spectacular to watch and listen. Well worth the trek.
