Dr Shahid Chaudhary examined me and I felt he absolutely did not care about my issue. He was rude and dismissive, and only spent maybe five minutes with me. I still feel I need an exam from another doctor so the visit was a waste of time too.
My experience really mirrors the review from the other person so I know that this is how he is in general and not that he was having a bad day.
Dr Shaid Choudry is very rude and dismissive. I understand sometimes we may worry about ourselves or our children a little more than needed but he hardly checked me or my son, didn’t ask questions or investigate our concerns. When speaking about my sons pain levels he was very dismissive and said “people with autism can’t accurately describe their pain levels to us”. My sons a teenager with high functioning ASD and scoliosis. He didn’t even open my sons previous X-ray to compare changes. He said we shouldnt address his health issues until he physically can’t move. Then in front of my child he also suggested that if he was to be sent for one extra x-ray that he would be sterilized. I didn’t realize you could be sterilized after having literally three x-rays your whole life (this would have be the third in his life if he had it done) Just overall very very dismissive. Very argumentative. Little to no interest in actually helping people. Horrible bedside manner. No compassion. His “I’m a doctor I know best so shut up” attitude is pretty disheartening and I probably won’t be going to him when my family actually needs help and will probably be looking for a different family doctor.
Don’t go here! Dr Shahid Chaudhry was so pathetic he barely looked into my cold and sore throat and refused to prescribe me anything. Didn’t even take the time to properly check me. Not happy he totally wasted my time. For doctors trained in other countries and not in Canada they need to be taught how to address patients in Canada. Ask questions. No one has time to waste going to a clinic and then not to be taken seriously. I have never had such an uninterested doctor look at me when I’ve taken time to explain my cold symptoms or provide a solution. Now I sit with extreme phlegm and a fever and all he could tell me was take over the counter meds. If I wanted over the counter options I would just go to Shoppers Drug Mart. This clinic needs to teach doctors how to see patients and provide a solution better than just sending people back home to get worsened symptoms. There are a hundred walk in options and I will never come back here again.
I went to this clinic to see female doctor and was seen by Dr. Clarke, an amazing diligent person who answered and clear all my questions. She took time and listen carefully even though she was not my family dr. She is absolutely amazing.
They are all amazing all the stuff highly recommended this location Dr salma sedat and dr v they are all amazing Special mention to Eunice, Haidei Emelita
The Family clinic is a joke. My husband was given wrong medication from the pharmacy, I called to have them send over the correct prescription to pharmacy, I was told he will have to see the physician for that and in order to get that he had to pay a fine.my husband had missed one appointment more than 6 months back and that is outstanding in his account. It is almost like the GP office is trying to make money in anyway possible. I was told by the CS agent- she is not responsible, she cannot transfer to doctor, the only option is pay the fine and see the doctor.wow.meanwhile my husband is still out of his essential medication. I do not understand why we pay taxes to get this no-service.
Don’t come before 4 on Thursday. They don’t accept walk-in patients. I called before come there was a voice message that during business hours they can’t pick up the call. Patients can come walk-in and appointments. Once I get there they can’t accept walk in patients before 4! Hopeless healthcare system.
Such a poor customer service at tye reception. I am visiting this clinic since 2 years and there is not a single time i am satisfied with their customer service. But Doctors and lab personals are simply awesome.
Family doctor retired so I had to come in for prescription referral to a new doctor. They wouldn’t refill over the phone or via web call. I had to drive 6 hours to get here. Then had to wait an hour for my appointment. This office needs to stop double booking and get into the 20th Century when it comes to healthcare. I won’t be back.
If I could give this place a 0 I would. DO NOT GO HERE. You are just wasting your time. I was dealing with Dr. Shahid Chaudhry and he is terrible as well as rude. Has no sense of sympathy or knowledge about anything. He will literally send you away without listening to your issue. I am definitely doing a formal complain against him. This is unprofessional and unethical the way he was speaking to me. You’re a doctor so act like it.
DR. CHAUDHRY please go in to a field you are good at.
Excellent service and FAST attention. Very happy with our first experience last week. I guess we were there at the perfect time. Dr was nice too. Sorry to all those who have had poor experiences. Ours was the BEST walk-in clinic experience EVER and I have been in Brampton for over 20 years.
I came here to get my TB skin Test done on Thursday April 13, Dr. Irene Girgis attended me for not more than 2 minutes and I was injected for Skin Test. The receptionist told me to come on Saturday following 48 hrs and told I won’t be charged again and will take 15 minutes only on next visit
Now today I’m here and was charged 60$ again. Waiting since 12: 15 was told 20-30 minutes max for my appointment and its been an hour and still not sure how long I have to wait.
I was looking for a new family doctor because after 40 years my doctor retired. Went to Healthpoint Family Medicine for a new family doctor. I gave Dr. Chaudhry a list of my prescriptions with one due on Feb. 11th. The appt was Feb 9th. He took it upon himself to decide he didn't want to renew the prescription that i asked for without telling me and as of today i have no pills and he wanted me to wait until Monday to talk to me, while he was in the office today and i have no pills. My original family doctor has prescribed the prescriptions I'm on after years of other options that have been tried and retried that didn't work. While I was at the appt.he had plenty of time to discuss with me any questions he had regarding the prescription. Twice, the pharmacy faxed the request to him, and he ignored it. What kind of doctors are we bringing into the country? I do not recommend this doctor unless maybe you have a cold or something small that he is able to deal with. Unfortunately, if you have an issue that requires more, knowledge, he is unable to deal with it. I would have given him no stars, but one was the least available. Needless to say I will look for a real physician for future visits.
They don’t deserve a star this is the worst place for the reception this is so ignorant I did not expect such a human to exist in this world being so rude to people disrespectful bending her head all the time waiting 30 minutes just for her to answer me, yes the bloodwork will be open very rude and very disrespectful How they to Receptionist the job how did they communicate before they get the job how did she live in her home I wish people would never go there again never
I like this walk-in compared to so many others with poor wait time. The building itself is fairly new and the staff are nice, I’ve also never sat in the waiting room for more than 30 minutes which is a lot better than most walk in clinics
I would have given 0 if there was an option. They dont even understand what is professional ethics. Myself and my family including my child took family doctor appointment to visit Dr. Rajeev Arora and I got the time confirmation as 6: 50pm. I called back and they confimed all of us can come together at the same time. When we came in the receptionist lady was so arrogant and told us that my spouse and child had the time at 6: 30pm and since the time is over they cannot even rebook or they wont give any kind of appointment with healthpoint. They send us back. Dont even have any consideration for my child. We were not informed about the difference in time before. They have the worst online appointment booking portal too. As I am a registered lawyer by profession, I am going forward with a complaint against them.
Very unprofessional front staff. They screen your calls, if they don't want to talk to you, they leave you in the call queue for a long time before answering. When at the office, the front reception staff are not wearing masks, but they make patients wear a mask, even when you have a medical mask exemption, even though masks are no longer mandated. Ridiculous and hypocritical.
Not really expecting anything bout this clinic since it's my first time but this clinic wait time was way faster than any clinic I have ever been. I only waited for 30 mins. Which isn't long compare to other walk in clinic out there. The receptionist was helpful and the doctor was very patient in answering all my questions. I would totally recommend this clinic
The Asian receptionist at the downstairs by the walk in clinic is horrible. I called 12 times from 9 a.m to 11 a.m when the clinic supposedly opens and the automated service kept saying the walk in clinic is closed. I decided to take an Uber to the clinic and when i talked to the Asian clerk that was working she stated that they have been answering calls since 9 A. M. I told her i was calling since 9 A. M and no answer she says she doesnt know why. I took an Uber back home and called back the clinic at 11 A. M and behold its still saying the clinic is closed. The clerk should be disciplined on her job because that is the worst customer service and bad for business and i wasnt surprised that the walk in clinic was pretty empty probably because the clerk wasnt answering any calls.
I wish I could give zero stars to this. First of all the receptionist didn’t even give full details before the actual visit to the clinic. Once I reached with the patient the Asian receptionist was really unprofessional as she kept us waiting for so long. She kept on entertaining other people even though I was waiting in the queue and kept on telling me just wait a minute. She needs to be retrained as she is in a customer service profession and this is not acceptable.
Very poor service Everytime i make a call to this clinic My position in call waiting is 12th Totally unprofessional reception staff They donot value of clients time I will never recommend this place to anyone Totally annoyed from this place
1 hour wait time for a TB test. I was a walk in patient. Staff and Doctor were nice. But wait time is too long.
Edit: I called them today before coming in for the walk-in. Secretary said sure come in we are open until 2. I get there with my kids at 12: 30 and she says sorry we are no longer accepting patients for walk in. The clinic is empty. Why would you tell someone to come in and refuse them service once they arrive? So unprofessional, the reviews don't lie. Don't go here.
The website appointment booking does not work and when I called over phone. I went from caller # 4 to caller # 2 as per the automated message in about 10 minutes. Then it just got stuck at the following message replaying over and over for an hour "You are currently caller # 2 waiting to speak with a representative, Thank you for your patience". Where they just hope that you drop the call.my advice: Don't have them as your family doctor! Else you will be waiting forever.
Call never answered by receptionist. U continue being in the queue until u are frustrated to release the call and call some urgent care instead. Getting an appointment to speak to a doctor is scheduled after no.of weeks. No sort of emergency addressed over the call in first place bcz of long waiting hours
Dr salma seedat is my family doctor, she is one of the best family doctors. Very humble and polite Her waiting time is usually 2 weeks for an appointment but she never ignores any of her patients health and personal concerns. You won't find any doctor in canada except her, who could get 5 minutes from their busy schedule to call you in any medical or personal urgency without appointment and she does that, may God bless her.she obviously is the best in her field, explain everything patiently, answer every concern even in her rush hours.
Very irresponsible and unprofessional behavior towards our young daughter. Took 3 months to refer to a Rheumatologist. Patient was gone beyond recovery phase during that time. One day she booked an appointment for shingles Vaccine. When we reached there was no Vaccine or doctor there.
They know how to waste your time I called in around 1: 00 pm for a walk in appointment, waited 20 minutes to talk to a representative from the office and when the call got connected I was told that that you need to call after 2 pm to get a walk in appointment as it would be unfair for others if I give you the slot. I called at 2: 00 pm again waited for 30 minutes this time, the lady says send me your details on email and I will email you the time for walkin. Once I send the email, they send an automated reply saying we dont respond emails sent after 2 Pm on same day we will reply on Monday.
Again I called in, luckily 10 minutes of waiting time this time the lady over the call says not needed to send email for walk in I said please book an appointment for walk in so she said the doctor will talk to you over the phone as a walk in patient and then if needed will call you for treatment
Dear Doctors, dont act as if you are not living a normal life and taking all precautions every day, just because of COVID-19 you all are making excuses to treat patients. Free stuff cannot be useful, healthcare isnt an exception
Waited 20 minutes on hold only to be told that i need to call back in one hour because they are currently closed for walkin. They would not book me in for a phone appointment unless I called during specific hours 2-6pm. Makes no sense. Complete waste of time.
Dr. Wadhwa is extremely unprofessional. No caring no compassion during a health crisis. Marked the file as not urgent after saying no need to to call again I will call you. Do not retain this Dr. For your family's care.
Very poor walk-in clinic. All I wanted was a prescription refill, unfortunately my family doctor was not available this week so I was asked to call walk-in clinic and they would do the prescription refill. I tried calling them after 2 PM yesterday as advised by the receptionist. Waited from 2: 15 PM to 3: 43 PM, I was 8th person waiting on the line and progressed to 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 and someone picked the call and told walk-in clinic is closed. As advised I called them today at 9: 15 Am and booked for a telephone appointment, I was told I will receive a call in 2 hours, I received a call (just one ring) at 11: 13 AM before I accept the call it was disconnected, unfortunately I didn't have any super power to attend the call quickly before first ring gets over. I called immediately, I had to wait nearly 30 minutes to progress from 6 to 1, informed the representative about one missed call, she said she will inform the doctor and doctor will call. I waited for 2 hours and now again calling the walk-in clinic progressing from 9th patient and now 6th and counting.: (I just need my prescription refill badly, not sure if I could get it on time.
Update 1: Finally reached the representative progressing from 9 to 1, at 2: 19 PM they rebooked my appointment to an unspecified time today. Will keep posting on updates.
Final update: Got lucky and spoke with doctor, he was so polite, kind and responsive.
My family doctor is also awesome, I did gave five star before for the same reason. Now am changing my rating from 1 to 3 for the doctors, despite of my walk-in clinic experience.
Firstly, I would like to say, Dr. VAIDYANATHAN is a caring, gentle professional and he is always willing to take my calls and his genuine empathy with my issues have really made the difference in my life. Due to him, I have a great medical team. Okay, we all become complacent at times but my overall experience with this office is good. I've read many negative reviews that may have merit however, I found that this office is VERY BUSY and knowing what you want and using the email option has served me well. Iv been a patient of healthpoint since they were finchgate medical so I have years under my belt with this office. Sometime its the individual staff that makes all the difference to a stressful day.
As an example, I use the nurse to do bloodwork. She has always been upbeat and sweet however, a week ago, she drew blood and left a HUGE BRUISE which has been very painful. Of course I'm upset but, these things happen.
I feel bad that many have had bad experiences but I haven't had a CONSISTANT issue with this medical office.
Be your own advocate, be patient, and courtious with the doctors and staff. They will work with you!
I remember i went into the office one day during COVID and forgot to put masks in my car for my daughter and I and I thought the office could provide us one as it was my error and I didn't want to miss my important visit with my doctor. A new receptionist chastised me and I lost my cool with her while walking out very angry. New staff need sensitivity training as we all do. She should know how to deal with clients and I should not have lost my s$%t especially in front of my daughter. Did I go back? Yes of course I did. Did I get seen professionally? Of course I did.
This is a good medical office overall and many staff should not be painted with the same brush as the odd one out having either lack of training or a bad day. Just my opinion.
I've been a patient of Dr Arora's for almost 14 years. He is a wonderful doctor and I have nothing but good things to say about him. Unfortunately, the staff at the clinic leave much to be desired. The front desk team is equivalent to a rudderless ship. There is no consistency, no courtesy, no accountability, and overall a complete lack of etiquette. It does taint the overall experience of Healthpoint Medicine, as the front desk is the face of the clinic. Trying to get through on the phones is abysmal at best, emails are answered leaving you with more questions then you started with. Pharmacy refill fax requests go unanswered and unacknowledged, leaving people without vital medications. If it wasn't for the stellar service from Dr Arora and the girls in the lab I would have switched clinics long ago.
They put you on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up up on you once they finally answer. Horrible service. Be prepared to be on phone for1 hour just to book an appointment with a doctor that rushes you out the office.
If I could give no stars I would! DR SALMA SEEDAT never takes anything seriously, any concern she doesn't take seriously! She doesn't follow up with anything, my daughter was not feeling well today and I tried bringing her in to get checked and Dr Seedat is charging me $120 for missing phone appointment during a pandemic! I proceeded to ask why am I being charged so much during time of hardship and I was asked why didn't I apply for government assistance if I couldn't afford the charge, I have never in my life been this Disrespected by a dr or receptionist! Worst experience ever will never go back, as a dr sure you want to get paid but to refuse to see a sick little baby because of $120 charge is beyond me! Worst doctor! BEWARE!
This is the first doctor's clinic I've called during the pandemic that puts you in a call queue just to reach the receptionist. After joining the queue at caller number 5 (according to the prompt), I wait 15 minutes just to become caller number one and then get told, they're receiving a larger call volume and i need to leave a message. This happened not once but twice. I don't expect to wait in a call queue just to be told to leave a message! I'll call elsewhere where I can at least get a response.
If I could put a million stars I would. I have been a patient of Dr. Manaki for many yrs as has my husband. He is very caring and never rushs you out of the office. He us a 5 star doctor! The office staff has always been extremely helpful and pleasant. A very clean environment.
This doesn't even deserve a star. I just started going to this medical center. The worst service you could ever receive I do think know how there are people employed here. The doctors seem ok but the office/front desk/ reception need serious training or a better way to assist their patients. I was on hold for over 30 mins gave up and hung up and have been trying to get through to reception for the last hour. After that I've been call ever other few mins. Tried every option. Please if anyone is reading this DO NOT GO TO THIS MEDICAL OFFICE FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR.
Update: I emailed the office and yet still no response. Let's see how long it takes for this medical office to get back to their patients.
I was at the clinic this morning. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I was able to be seen right away. The doctor was very caring and understanding and he was able to look after me right away. Thank you! I will be back again next time I have the need.
In my opinion, this is the first clinic of its kind where you will never be entertained in case you get late for 10-15 minutes (for any reason) from the appointment time with a family doctor. It does not make sense because even if you reach on-time, you have to wait for your turn - you hardly meet doctor on-time in most of the cases. I would therefore strongly recommend Northgate Doctors Office (not far from this clinic) where you have extraordinary customer service, exceptionally nice and cooperative doctors and staff.
Awful service I would give this place a 0 star rating if possible. Waited and WAITING for a referral for my brother for a nurse to come see him. This doctors office was called a total of 6 times already by myself and the LHIN network and instructed to send a referral.the first time it was done they did not complete it correctly. Because of this my brother who needs to be seen by a nurse at home has had to wait for over a month. Absolutely ridiculous. Staff is beyond unhelpful and no one seems to care. Refused to even pass on a message.
Dr Seedat is very professional and friendly doctor, she listened to my family's needs and was very helpful in discussing causes, symptoms, and lifestyle changes. With 2 kids and newcomer, she definitely made me at ease and assured me of her services. Highly commend her services.
If you are an elderly woman of colour or an immigrant, do not go to this clinic. I brought my mother to this clinic recently, who is a senior citizen with limited understanding of English, for a walk-in appointment, and the treatment she received from the administrators was beyond unprofessional. The first point of contact who are the administrators treat vulnerable patients with zero respect at this clinic. Management and staff need training on patient-centered service or at the very least take a course on sensitivity training. I was told by Anjali, one of their administrators, that they "are not here to help low-income people" while another administrator named Amanda echoed the same sentiment. Absolutely shameful the way vulnerable patients are treated here. It would not be a surprise if there is a complaint against this clinic to the Ontario Human Rights Commission. If I could rate Healthpoint Family Medicine and Walk-in less than one star I would.
I've switched clinics/doctor after many negative and unhelpful experiences. Dr. Seedat is an excellent doctor - I was able to get several tests done very quickly. Now I have a diagnosis and a reference to a specialist. She's a compassionate and a professional doctor and I can't thank her enough for her help. Highly recommend!
I've been there twice and can't be satisfied enough. A nice clean environment, courteous staff and good professional medical attention is what a Walk-in Clinic is supposed to provide: and this clinic qualified with flying colors on all those. Also, be advised that they have two locations within the same building at 490 Bramalea Road— both essentially integrated though. Good job and keep it going ️
