Heart Lake Veterinary Hospital

I've been to various animal hospitals through my time as an animal owner, and this hospital has been one of the best experiences I've had. My dog is a re-homed, with some issues. They didn't rush or force the examination. Things were take at my pets pace, which was great to see. I would highly recommend this clinic for those in the area.

Dr. Ashna and staff are amazing with all of our pets. So helpful and will follow up with any questions that we as owners may have. They are warm and friendly, and welcoming to all. I would never take my pets anywhere else!

I visited them few months back as i had to treat a dog who was involved in a fight with another dog. They attended the dog promptly and provided dressing for a wound which was minor.all in all the procedure was done in about 15 minutes and they charged me about $500 which was way more than I anticipated. My mobile Vet would have done the same procedure for about $100 at max. They are expensive and not worth the cost. I will suggest look for other options before visiting them.

Reilly was not himself being very aggressive brought him in for a check up and Dr MacDonald found that he had a broken tooth with exposed root. He was in a great deal of pain. They squeezed him in for surgery a few days later. They did cleaning, X-rays, and multiple extractions. Poor guy must have been in a lot of pain. A few days later and he’s a different cat. Can’t thank them enough very caring and thorough.

We've been trusting Heart Lake Veterinary Hospital with our fur babies for many years (decades now, in fact), and we always feel we're in great hands! The entire staff is well educated and personable - with both pets and humans. I always highly recommend HLVH to anyone who asks.:)

Heart Lake Veterinary Hospital is the place to bring your fur babies for all their needs and care! Each worker is truly interested in each pet and concerned about maintaining excellent health for them. And the workers themselves are a delight to talk to and hear their advices. As an anxious new pet owner with a rescue, Heart Lake Veterinary Hospital made me feel completely at ease with every concern I had. Dr. Ashna Varma and the team are incredibly warm and welcoming and care for my cat as if it were their own. I'm beyond grateful for their support. I can always count on being seen within a day or two of calling.

As a customer of 7 years for two of our daughters, I am quite disappointed and disgusted with this hospital. We took our schnauzer in for an ear infection, paid 800plus for 15 min in room to be told that there was a yeast infection. They told us a sample would be taken to be be tested which too 4 min, all they did was put it on to a little piece of glass and left the room with it. Upon returning, they came back with some drops, and said this should help. The test was over 150 dollars and it did absolutly nothing, where now the yeast infection has increased to her eye and mouth. When returning with her, we explained to the lady with diagnostics, and I had stated to her at that time of the last visit and cost, nothing was said from her about that.
After she had done her exam, the doctor came in who stated that she was the owner, and there would be another charge, but right off the back the attitude of her was defensive. We were told there would be another 95 dollars charge, of something that should have been taken care of before or within that cost.
We were approached as, if the trust was not there, then we can take our empty wallet, for nothing, and go somewhere else.
The saddest part is, when we were leaving she turned to her assitant, and said in a very cocky way, "there I took care of that for you"! Since then we took our daughter to a different vet, for 135 dollars, they have taken ear samples and have sent it out to be tested properly. My advice if you love your pups and your money, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL$$$$.
P. S Had to give one star, as I cant give neagtive five, and this advice I'm giving is free!

Amazing experience with the cheerful reception to the assistance staff and doctor Ashna was so friendly & making my pet feel comfortable.
I am so happy to go back and feel very confident my pet will get the best care

Dr. Yash Varma is honestly an amazing vet. He takes his time to explain things and very good at what he does. So grateful that thor is in good hands with a disease that is rare in dogs. I look forward to continuing with his services and quality of care!

Everyone at Heart Lake Veterinary Clinic is knowledgeable, friendly, and seem to genuinely care about and enjoy working with animals, from the front desk staff to the veterinary doctors. I feel confident that my senior kitty is receiving the best care at this clinic. If only I could find a human clinic in Brampton that was half as good for myself…

I had an emergency with my French bulldog and I was able to get in and see the veterinarian so quickly. They took great care and provided the necessary care my boy needed. Because of them we were able to get what we needed done. I do not go anywhere else except Heart Lake Veterinary for my boy’s needs. Thank you so much for everything!

The staff at Heart Lake Veterinary hospital are very warm and friendly. My golden retriever is the second dog I've owned that they've cared for and they've always been so kind and provided excellent care for my dogs.

The staff is always kind, professional and welcoming. The doctors genuinely care about my pet and offer sound solutions and advice in efforts to keep my pup as healthy as can be. I highly recommend them! Keep up the great work!

My Chihuahua puppy was really sick and they instantly made her feel better when I brought her in!

I had to change my original review because of some recent developments that have led me to believe that this place does not deserve 5 stars. Friendly, caring staff for vet care but I prefer to take my dog elsewhere for grooming.

Amazing place to take your pet. They make sure to make you and your pet comfortable during the entire visit.

Zero communication. I left two phone messages and emailed three times. No one in the office was decent enough to return either.

Business loss but I guess you guys must not need new patrons.

This veterinary office was wonderful. The lady who registered our pet dog was really helpful with any and all questions we had. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs a vet for their loved pets. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Staff and doctor were extremely friendly and happy to take care of my puppy Thor. They were ready to answer any questions I had aswell as give me important information on how to take care of him properly! Great experience and will be sure to keep going back for my veterinary needs in the future!

Very rude stuff and always trying to make a dollar. Was told my dog had to be sedated to get his teeth cleaned. Took my dog to another vet for a second opinion and new vet didnt find a reason why my dog needed to get his teeth clean.my dog is 6 years old and his teeth are like a 1yr old.because they are well taken care. Heart lake are scammers and don't get me started on the groomer.ps: the receptionist is a **** and karma will get her.she talks bad about clients to other vets. I decided to use a new vet because i was getting tired of getting ripped for unnecessary tests.and the new vet said some pretty surprising stuff about what the receptionist told her about certain clients at heart lake.she should get fired.she is very unprofessional and a hypocrite.

Dr. Varma Senior has been looking after our pets since 1991. We had a rare large breed Akbash that lived for 12.5 years (they don't usually live that long). For many years our pets needed nothing more than an annual visit in contrast to the dog and cat we have now - difficult to diagnose and develop effective, sustainable treatment plans for. We find this clinic to be innovative, compassionate and sensible. The staff is a joy to work with and the clinic offers a convenient online store for prescription food delivery.

What can I say, this Veterinary clinic is one of the best. Staff are very caring, friendly and knowledgeable. They worked around their busy schedule to accommodate my baby, and worked late and even put up with my constant calling. They took on a surgery that other vets refused. I'm so thankful for all the hard work, to save my Spike. Definitely two thumbs up. Definitely recommending to all my friends and family.

Love Dr Nawas. She takes care of my princess like she is her own and has even called my home to check up on her. I would not hesitate to recommend her and this vet and I drive close to 45 minutes to see her because of the outstanding care we receive

Wonderful pet care. They called me the day after my dog got his vaccinations to follow up on how he was doing. Very through explanation of the health of the animal and options for treatment. Highly recommend this place.

Knowledgable staff who taKe the time to listen. Dr Varma and his staff take the time to get to know the pet as well as the owners. Heartlake Vet is the only place my furbabies have ever know. Their grooming service is second to none! Fabulous!

I was so anxious bringing my dog in for his exam. The staff were amazing. From the ladies at the front desk to the doctor herself. They were thorough and gentle with my dog. A not so great situation turned into a nice over all experience for me and my dog. My dog is already feeling better and I will only ever go to this clinic.

I'll be taking my dog here for regular check outs for the last 2 years, they're very friendly and always explain every procedure.

Beautiful place, I get my kitten cherry taken care of here, and my late pet Rose. (rose has not passed but given away now) great very my pets were calm always. And treated with so much love
