Giving 1 star rating because I can not rate in minus. Had the worst experience with Heffner Toyota.
Invested 500$ for 6-7 months, gain 0%, disappointments 200%.

1. I booked Rav 4 in July, and they said you'll get your car in 3 to 4 months. Car comes after 7 months. Sent many emails, never got answer on time.
2. I customized it, but when the car came, they forgot to add customized things. And when I asked, they said you have to wait more 3 weeks.
3. I understand the situation, and I let it go everything. When it was time to submit a finance application, they said your loan is rejected, and we can not give you a car. You can bring cosigner to get the approval.
4. When I brought the cosigner, they said you could not apply. Please proceed with the refund.

I just purchased my third Toyota at Heffner's. Service was outstanding. I especially want to thank Ali Majid for his outstanding customer service. He is very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the financial traction options. Stu Jeffrey in Sales found the perfect vehicle for me. I am enjoying my new to me 2021 Toyota C-HR more than I could have imagined. Love it!

We leased Lexus ES 300 H, the customer service was good then and, at the end of 39 months we decided to buy it out.
It was a very unprecedented customer experience, the luxury financial service manager at Hefner had a very unprofessional behaviour and conduct firstly, She had lack of knowledge asking for lean to be removed from insurance without making full payment to TCCI,
She gave no intro and just came towards us with no smile. She had a bunch of paperwork Signed at the reception Without asking if we were comfortable to stand there and sign. I even mentioned if we can sit in any room she kept on with her focus on getting paper work signed as if trying to get rid of OUR job.
Both myself and my husband felt like what’s going on. Would never recommend Hefner. Out excitement of owning the car was shattered. We came out of Hefner with a very low mood and wanted to complain to the owner as we not treated well as they claim that “ you are our family “

The service department is a tad unorganized. Not only do they have a broken system of logging customer service orders (too many cooks in the kitchen) but they try to deflect blame onto the customer.

Please work on your customer service skills.

They were really disrespectful and they disappoint me of how they are working. They are very late for every stuff that I’ve took an appointment for. You have had customers but when they knew about how you treat and how you sell and how you are late they leave before they have an argument with the company.

I had my ram in for repairs through an insurance clam and they did good work but very expensive especially when I was told that my used tailgate had the rino on it and it happens to be box paint I put some of my tools on it and it scraped off like nothing I dont think I can trust them to do work on my vehicles again it's a crying same that you get ripped off twice with this company told a lie and dinged with a heavy bill for the insurance company

Heffner Toyota was amazing with my recent search for a car to replace my Prius C that lost the collision with the deer. Michelle Whittle managed to find me a 2022 Corolla Cross within a week! This is the second perfect car she has found for me. She has also found vehicles for at least 3 members of my family. She has a knack of finding the right vehicle at the right price.

Did some research and pricing online from their web site. Sales Rep Vic was awesome, gave us some great tips and was totally zero pressure. Love the car, so many great features. First service completed and as usual service staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Love this dealership and all that they give back to the community. Check out their web site for details. I recently purchased a used vehicle and had the pleasure of working with Matt Bishop. I find Heffner Toyota Service to be a very good place to take your car even if it's not a Toyota. I take there our Toyota which we bought there a while back and a Hyundai which is an older car and not bought there. They take care of both of them and I know that whatever they suggest needs to be done is an honest opinion and that they will do it well so that I don't have to come back for the same issue. They went to a great length to get the part and squeeze in the work for the Hyundai so that I have it back in a good time. Thank you, Ashley Koebel for being such a great service advisor.
I should also mention that the Heffner Toyota service waiting room is a very welcoming place (free coffee and a cookie) and a safe one with adequate distancing. I also like that the proceeds of the café go to the Ray of Hope, a local homeless service and kitchen place. The café has a good food and beverage selection, too. Thank you, everyone at Toyota, for making this place like going to see family.

I have unfortunately purchased a 2021 rav4 from here as it is the closest toyota dealer near me, and the experience was terrible. My car is financed by scotiabank and I agreed to go with scotiabank was considering the convenience that i can do transactions using the mobile app. But the finance lady Barbara was careless and made errors and messed up the file hence i cant check my balance or make extra payments. I have also brought toyota ecp for the car which comes with 6 free services. I was surprised to know that they have suspended it when I brought the car for first service. I have e mailed them about it and there is no response from their side. I have also did rustproofing had had residues left on my wheels and center cap when i told about it at my first service they told me to use rim cleaner. Giving car for service is another nightmare. I asked them to do oil change on my car as per factory 2018 and up camry and 2019 and up rav4 are supposed to use 0w16 grade oil. In my case they have used 0w20 grade in a brand new car. And when i asked about it they just said they were out of stock. This seems like they may use windshield washer fluid in brakes if the brake fluids are out of stock.

We had a great experience buying our truck from Heffner Toyota. Both Trevor our sales rep and Mellissa in the office were fantastic! We decided to change vehicles after 2 days of initial visit and they were very accommodating and helpful. There was also a bit of a mix up on the day of pick up and they both offered to drive the new truck to our house - fantastic service and very much appreciated! I just got my first car purchased from Toyota Heffner. I must say the customer service and dealing is amazing! Sal worked with us and helped me find the car I was looking for- RAV4. He went into details explaining the features of the car, took us for the test drive (the area chosen for the test drive was super as it tested all the features of the car). He went above and beyond to help us, answered any questions, waited in long line at Service Ontario for the license and getting our paperwork ready. Sal is very knowledgeable about the vehicles there, kind and exactly knows what the customer is looking for. He even delivered the car to my house, and once again explained me all the features, and set up my phone with the car Bluetooth. The entire experience with Heffner was great and I am super satisfied with their service. Thankyou Sal, and Heffner for making the entire purchasing experience seamless and smooth. We bought a pre-owned 2018 Toyota Corolla from Heffner Toyota.
The sales team was great. Thanks to Henry and Melissa.
The service department not so much. We did the test drive on a tire with a big cut on the side wall. The car had been safety checked before by Heffner Toyota.
To finalize the sale they were supposed to check an oil leak. They claimed to have changed the valve cover gasket to fix that. This job has never been done. Fake. Instead they let us drive off with a leaking transmission oil fill plug. Easy fix but they did not care to look. This was very insulting.
The brake fluid reservoir was only half full although the fluid had been changed two weeks prior by Heffner Toyota.
An email to Mr. Heffner did not trigger any response. He does not care either.

Had service done they removed my heat shield on my highlander and could not repair my trunk as the automatic trunk came un fastened and said they would send it out for repair and never did. Showed on my invoice that I refused two of the services that were supposed to be done. When I called to ask why those service were not done it was explained something about there bonuses and they had to put those down as customer refused which I never did. When asked why my heat shield was removed as I was charged for the repair on it. I could not get an answer and was told the service advisor would call me on Monday. I am still waiting for that call a month later. Thought you guys were better then this

I just had an oil change on my Rav4, through the quick lane, and they offered to wash my vehicle, which was a pleasure to have this done. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the license plate was missing. I went back in to see if it came off in the carwash, and the young Tech looked for it and found it for me, he then offered to put it back on for me. He (Scott), was polite, and professional, offered the Heffner cover plate, saying that I was part of the Family now, and installed the plate and cover. More than pleased with the service and the professional approach to solving my problem. Thank you Scott, you are going to do well in this business.

I purchased a car from Hefner Toyota, got it home and the sunroof was making a popping sound. I contacted them and was told it was covered by the 6500 km warranty. Fast forward two days and the owner of Heffner basically told me where to go and said they wouldn't be covering the $1300 repair that it needs. I will be taking legal action as it SHOULD be covered after I was told it was. Don't buy from here.

Have called several times over the last 2 years to get a recall done, the woman on the phone always refuses to do it claiming they are low on the airbags, I could be killed due to them and several other dealers refusing to even out me on a waitlist and they simply dont care.

I had an accident & they were recommended by my insurance company. When I arrived everything was arranged by my insurance to have a rental ready, plus I was greeted by name. All I had to do is sign a release when I gave them the keys & that was it.

Had to take my wife's car in for a service. I'd never been here before, and was honestly quite confused. It's a massive facility, and it took me a few minutes to try and find out where I was supposed to go. The middle driveway is the answer it would seem. Then you have to go to the back, but don't park. You drive your car in. There's some doors that ask you to drive up slowly, and then they will automatically open, and then you go in. I did that, but someone came running out and told me to back up so they could close the door. After waiting quite some time, someone reappeared and open the door and told me to drive in.

Now, this was during the Covid-19 shutdown, so perhaps this wasn't normal.

But once I finally drove in, everyone was friendly and helpful. The level of protection because of Covid-19 was outstanding.

The service went fine, although for what was done, it was rather expensive. But if anyone knows Toyotas, it would be them!

You won't get anything for a bargain price. And like any shop they will charge every cent they can. Having said that, they are very reasonably trustworthy. Never had an issue with work done, A+. But like most shops. Be very careful. They will charge anything and everything they can. If I was less aware, I would be charged hundreds more. Stay informed on things you own

My wife were just there this time to pick up our son he bought and gets his car serviced by Heffner all the time, he got his snow tires installed service done & rotation if needed he was happy when job was finished price about the same as anywhere else.

This is what a dealership should be like!
Efficient, courteous, and more of a friend, than dealer. Heffner prides itself on being fair and helpful, instead of a high pressure sales outfit. They have seasonal events for their customers, such as a children's Christmas party, with treats, face painting, picture with Santa etc. All for free. They also contribute to local charities and sponsor community events.
If you are in the market for a vehicle this dealership will make your experience pleasant.
If you need maintenance on your vehicle, the service is next to none.

I can't say enough about the kind and personal attention i received at Heffner Toyota. The work and restoration done to my vintage truck was top notch. Amy from the collision center is top shelf in every way possible, right down to recognizing my voice when i would call in. Great person to deal with.

This is an odd review as we didn't ultimately buy our car from Heffner.

While another vehicle fit the checklist better, I found the experience at Heffner (and with Richard Guanzon in specific) was among the best of our year-long search for a vehicle.

Richard was responsive, helpful, and provided a very reasonable and clear quote.quite refreshing compared to some of the nonsense we dealt with at other dealerships.

In this case, another vehicle fit our needs slightly better than the Rav4 we were considering. But when we are in the market for another vehicle, Heffner would be among our top choices.

Kevin took the time to explain the workings and maintenance of our van and to make us feel comfortable with regards to calling him if we had any problems. Where do I start. We went in on December 21 to lease a vehicle from them. They came highly recommend we made the trip from Brampton.

We were told that they have trucks bringing in the new RAV4 constantly and will be getting our car soon, most likely within a week. We told them since our current car was a write off and that we need a car ASAP since we will need to rent and wasting money.

There was no update given to us I decided to call back on Dec 27. Looked like everyone was still on holidays cause everyone the receptionist tried to send me to was not back till either Friday or January. Which something else was annoying was their phone system doesn’t allow you to return back to the receptionist if you don’t want to leave a person a message. And as many times I called which was 8 times - the receptionist which by now were on a first name basis basically wouldn’t offer any other help then ‘how may I direct your call’. So I gave up for that day.

Now comes Friday. A week later. Finally get someone in finance and when she brings up my file she said that she doesn’t even think there is a car for me. So I tried to explain myself my situation. She was very short with me didn’t even try to understand my situation. Told me she wasn’t the one dealing with my situation so she is going with what the system is telling her. All she can do is send my information to the new car salesman.

Fine so that was that. The new car manager calls me back and tells me that my car isn’t even built yet. That it won’t even be ready till the 11th of January. I was like ok so how did the last sales manager tell me that it’ll be probably within a week. Then this guy goes off of me saying I didn’t say this to you. I’m the sales manager. Like this guy was on some ego trip. Tried to tell him that we made the treck from Brampton. But he didn’t want to hear anything I was saying. His exact words were ‘well there isn’t anything I can do for you. I can try source something for you but it won’t matter. Might save you 2 days’. So I check their inventory for the model and trim package we asked for and I see that they have one in stock it says.

So I guess they don’t want our business. He was not even remotely sympathetic. After I said ok well I will have to cancel my order. He is like ok I’ll let the people know. And that was the end of the conversation.

If this is how highly recommended service is then I’m lost for words. I deal with the customer service industry. And I am always trying to make sure that my customers walk away knowing that even if I can’t supply a service for them that they know I tried my best. All these people wanted was to get back to doing nothing.

My friends ford truck was delayed and the salesman offered to lend him his personal vehicle so that he could get around. But of course the dealership loaned him a demo for 3 weeks before he was able to pick up the truck. Not only that he was given free oil changes and a new bed liner for the inconvenience. He wasn’t told well there is nothing they could have done for him. This is what I call service.

What my wife and I received from heffner Toyota was disgusting. After I told my wife she started to cry because they wasted our time travelling all that way for nothing. As well the friend who recommended heffner was lost for words, his family has purchased multiple cars from them and now he said he will have to let them all know what just took place.

I hope this helps people know that you are only a number in this world. If I could have give.heffner Toyota less of a star I would have.

Some things go well here (friendliness, pick ups/drop offs, wifi, coffee) but the service needs improving. They don’t listen well so you have to explain a lot or ask to speak to a manager, takes them days to return your multiple calls and refuse to fix damage they cause. Brought my car in with zero problems on door handle. Intake also didn’t document or notice it. On pick up, it’s all torn up and cuts my finger. Call them immediately and leave voicemails, takes them days to call back and now they say this is wear and tear and they didn’t do this. Say what? C’mon, a decent business admits their error and tries to fix it. Update: Manager Julio calls me back and just states, “we’re not going to fix this. ” I ask to speak to someone more senior and he puts me to his voicemail. Very unprofessional. I’ve left a message with Steve Heffner.

We bought our first Toyota, a 2004 Camry, from Heffner Toyota. It has been the most reliable car we have ever owned in our 44 years of driving. We have continued to come to Heffner"s ever since for our service needs. Today (Dec 2018) we drove away with our 2nd Toyota from Heffner's, a new 2019 Corolla Hatchback. We can't imagine buying any other brand of vehicle from any other dealership. Very friendly service, never any pressure, and knowledgeable staff have once again made our buying experience very enjoyable. Thanks so much to our salesperson, Jim Holyome, and the Financial Services Manager, Charles Gray-Wheeler. Well done everyone, your the best!

I called in to book a test drive of a specific used Corolla I wanted and a salesman said, "Sure, come in, it's still available! ". I then went to Heffner Toyota shortly thereafter to learn that it had been "sold". What a waste of time.

Vraiment une mauvaise expérience j'ai eu dans leur département de service et de réparation, je suis allé le bas pour faire un double de mes clés, mais je suis sorti de chez eux choque et vexer de leur comportement raciste, tu vas attendre sur la ligne en face d'eux et personne ne va faire attention à toi où te poser la question qu'est-ce que vous voulez; et hier juste hier j'etais en face d'une personne je crois qu'il s'appelle Marck il était assi sur sa chaise et j'ai respecté de ne pas aller le deranger jusqu'à kil me demande de se presenter mais je suis resté plusieurs minutes et il avait même une fille et un autre monsieur derrière moi entraine d'attendre; et une autre collègue a ce Marck et venu et il a demandé au monsieur derriere moi et la fille de venir avec elle pour l'aider et moi j'attends et après cette femme m'a demandé enfin ce que je veux et elle a demandé à une personne de m'aider et je suis alle vers lui et à ce moment-là ce Marck a bougé et elle a demandé à la fille de se presenter pour la servire dans double erreurs de racism et manqué de respect donc je suis déçu que Toyota accepte des racists dans ses locations de service, ce genre des gens polluent l'air du Canada et des companies c est pourquoi je donne 1 star et si il y avait la possibilite de donne zero 0000000 je vais le donner. Vive Canada sans Racisme.a propos j ai appele le manager et j ai lui raconte l histoire et il m a presente ses excuses et il a promis le suivi de ceci et j espere kil va le faire pour que d autre personne ne vivent pas ce que j ai vive hier.c est vraiment mal tres mal de voir les gens te deteste juste pour ta peau ou ta couleur ou ta race.

This dealership provides efficient and reliable service. Very professional and courteous, I have consistently had great service from Hefner Toyota. They also offer extended service hours, I had my 2011Sienna E-tested last night at 10pm.

Crashed my truck into a concrete post and lied to me about it. I had to get the police involved in order for them to repair the damages. On Wednesday October 31st, 2018, I brought my Tacoma into the service department to have the battery checked. At some point during that time, the accident occurred. I did not notice the damage when I picked up the truck as it was on the rear passenger side, but I noticed it immediately when I got home and walked around the truck. I called right away and left a message for the service manager, Greg. The next morning around 11am I still had not heard from him, so I sent an email with pics. He then answered me saying that he was in meetings all day and that his assistant, Giulio would help me. A couple hours later I received a condescending and accusatory voicemail from Giulio saying that my truck left the dealership in “pristine” condition. I called him right away to dispute this and he insisted that he had 40 high definition security cameras showing no damage to my vehicle. At that point I informed him that I would be calling the police. The officer was able to meet me at the dealership around 6pm on Thursday Nov 1st. At that point Greg and Giulio showed us ONE extremely blurry shot of my truck. It was so blurry that you could not read my license plate or the words TRD 4x4 sport on the side of the truck. This was their “proof” that my truck was not damaged! At that time I asked to see the ENTIRE footage of my truck being driven around the dealership. They said “that would take hours” but promised me that they would compile the footage for me to view the following week. I left, unimpressed. The following morning, Friday Nov 3, I filed an official complaint with Toyota Canada and sent an email to the person who answers the Facebook reviews. Later that afternoon I received a phone call from Giulio admitting that he reviewed the footage and that a Toyota technician had in fact backed my truck into a concrete post! At that point he assured me that the damages would be repaired at Toyota’s expense in their collision centre. The vehicle was repaired about 2 weeks later. I will say that of all the people I spoke to, the collision centre staff were the only ones who seemed genuinely sympathetic and very sorry about what had happened. They did a good job fixing it and cleaned the interior of my truck as well which was nice. Unfortunately though, none of that makes up for the horrendous experience I had in the service department. I’m confident that if they damage your vehicle and it’s not on camera they will lie to you and refuse to repair it. I don’t care if my vehicle breaks down in front of their driveway, I will pay to have it towed to Forbes Toyota in Waterloo where I am always treated with respect! Heffner Lexus Toyota cannot be trusted!

Ryan was so friendly, kind, caring and outgoing with trying to accommodate my jokingly "impatient" friend who joined me for an oil change. At the start he mentioned we would be out by 8: 39 the latest and we were shocked when we looked at our phones and saw the clock hit 8: 39 as we drove off. Very punctual and funny! He was cracking jokes, explained things well and went out of his way to ensure we got quick service! He was very informative when he came back to explain I needed something more done to my car. I've dealt with Heffner's for years. I've always been treated fairly & like family. I've sent many friends & family there over the years for new & used vehicles, detailing, etc.
My wife just got a new to her used Highlander hybrid just off of lease. Karen Savage did an excellent job for us finding something that met our needs, expectations & price point.
We even joked & bantered like family during the process.
The Detail shop is by far the best in the Region. Matt & his crew are the best.

These guys are on a sliding scale with me, and unfortunately it's continuing to slide downwards. Let's take a look at my Sales/Service experiences so far:

Sales:

Bought the car here after getting frustrated to no end with my old car dealer who didn't care about their customers. It was time for something new, and my wife was always happy with her car from Heffners, so it was time to become "part of the family" as the commercials say. Sales experience was overall decent, but was unimpressed when I was told that PPF and Tint are generally included in leased vehicles (i.e. Hinting it would be thrown in if I went for the lease over the finance). I leased, and suddenly these became paid upgrades if I wanted them. Very disappointed - went out and got my own paint film applied at a lower cost than Heffner's, and still to this day do not have tint as it really seemed like it was going to be thrown into my purchase and it just isn't in my personal budget now. Disappointed overall that even something as small as a $100 trunk mat had no flexibility to be thrown in on a $36k car. Kia, the cheapest car maker of them all, threw in lots of little goodies when I bought the last car from them and it made me feel great as a new customer (for stuff that's literally no cost to them).

Service:

My one car seat has a defect. I was initially told this was a "feature" of the car (an interesting feature I say), but any pictures online will prove otherwise, as will the experience of many others online who have the same defect and are having it fixed. Got a service appointment, they agreed it was a defect and would replace it, and within a week a new one was installed. I was impressed at the fast turnaround and friendly staff I talked to along the way. Picked up the car, and the new one has the exact same defect except worse! It's so noticeable I'm almost insulted they wasted our time having us bring it in and be without the car while they took a bad thing and made it worse. I emailed back and was told it would be reviewed with the manager and I'd get a call. That was now almost 3 weeks ago and I'm still sitting in the dark. Not even a friendly "we're still looking into it" email along the way or anything. I think I've actually been completely forgotten about, but I'll wait and see until I hit the 1 month mark.

During this time, they also quoted my wife $1600 for a $600 brake job anywhere else in town, and told my parents their tires were completely worn out when several independent tire shops in town confirmed over 50% tread remaining on the tires.

Service here seems shameful - all my first impressions after buying the car of my own service, my wife's service, and my parent's service, have made me start to regret picking Heffners. It seems they're just in it for the money - I'm not feeling like I'm "part of the family", but maybe I've just spent too much of my life working in the service industry myself.

Overall:

Tread carefully here is all I can say. My first impressions are woeful, but I'm optimistic things can change. Either that or the place has just gone downhill from what it used to be 5-10 years ago.

I will update this review as time goes on as I'm a very active reviewer and will be using Heffner for the remainder of service on my car while it's under warranty.

After many years of excellence in service and sales from Heffner Toyota. I had such a horrible experience buying my 4th and last car from this dealership. They messed up my financing and than fixed it so that was the only positive thing. But the salesman jim holyholm was very neglectful. Had me and my wife come in from Hamilton to test drive and go over paperwork. When we arrived we had to wait due to him being with another customer. So I decided to go for my test drive.
Unfortunately the car was out of gas. So no test drive. After an hour or so waiting we finally got to go over the deal. Everything looked good so I signed. To find out the day before pick up the finance department let me know that the accessories could not be financed and would be an additional monthly payment. The manager I spoke with worked with finance to get this issue fixed. And I was happy with the results. When going in to pick up my new car heffner was supposed to swap my tires and rims from my trade in to my new car. Was told that this would not be possible. Another disappointment. But it is what it is.just more of my time and money why would they care? So this is several months after owning the new car. I get an email stating that money they refunded me is now to be given back to heffner. So apparently nobody at this dealership has any clue how to do their job properly. If I could give this dealership less than 1 star I would. Needless to say Toyota makes great cars but Heffner has lost a lifelong customer. Due to there utter incompetence. From messing up my financing to not answering emails the tires that are still not on my new car. Etc etc etc.
