Pancakes were rich, sweet, delicious! The vegan eggs Benedict was a little different, but good. We’d come back to try more omelets and brunch foods for sure! P.s love the atmosphere and vibe of the staff. Comfortable & cool.
Great place for vegan food. Delicious and interesting combinations and food flavours. Good and attentive service. Would love to come back to try out other dishes.
We went in on a Saturday and it was not too busy. Cute decor, nice patio and I liked the menu, it’s a vegan place, the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice was super refreshing, I got the breakfast bowl, loved the tofu scramble healthy and great food. Definitely recommend it, it is very reasonably priced considering it is a sit down restaurant in Toronto.
Got a matcha latte and the Benny Benny. Both were quite good, even as a non-vegan!
The tofu ricotta was interesting and tasty, the sauce (I think avocado?) was great, and the potatoes were deliciously seasoned.
I just wish the “benedict” had a thicker layer or bread to balance out the creamy toppings. The side salad was also meh - just leaves with some shredded carrots and a vinaigrette, I’d swap some of it for the potatoes.
Overall really satisfying though! Will definitely come back again if I’m in the area to try some other stuff.
Just tried this place given it came up on most if not all of the best veg places in town lists. Menu was pretty extensive (food and drink), though only three desserts which is a bit paltry (and one of them wasn’t available).
Prices were okay, pretty high for a few simple things and not seemingly commensurate with what you always get. Case in point: both the lasagna and the curry are quite massive, but lasagna takes way more effort and attention and they’re only a dollar or two apart. The curry (which was what I had) was also pretty one dimensional.not exactly sweet, or savoury, or spicy, or a blend of the three; just.curry. The lasagna was much tastier. Stir fry and cheesecake looked great but didn’t actually try them. Also nearly 20 bucks for a tempeh sandwich? !
Server was rather nice and let me try the curry before committing since I have an extremely low tolerance for chilli heat. White people: you will not be intolerant of this curry whatsoever!
The worse service I've ever experienced. I arrived at 3: 30, their website mentioned they closed at 9: 30. I wasn't greeted just immediately given a disgusting face by the staff, as if my mere existence annoyed them. I was told the kitchen closed in 30 minutes, which I'm sure was a lie. I don't know if the person has a problem with black people or if their website is just wrong by 5.5 hours. Either way, I won't be back to find out.
The servers are really nice when they get to notice you. First time I was there It took forever to have someone coming to the table to get our orders and again to get the bill (I had to actually stand up and look for the server to ask for the bill and the place wasn’t even busy). The person who helped us was extremely nice, but I would trade that for a regular level of niceness and more efficient service anytime.
Oh, second time I went I set on the bar and didn’t get to be served at all. The servers passed by me more than 4 times simply ignoring my presence. After 10 minutes I felt a bit disrespected, stood up and left! Cheers.
This is my new favourite vegan restaurant in Toronto. Big portions, delicious flavours, affordable prices and a beautiful patio and indoor decor! Its a casual, low bling spot. Walked in on a monday. Was so pleasantly surprised that they serve a dish with pasta from Famiglia Baldassarre (the pesto cavatelli). We had to season it a bit with salt and pepper but it was delicious. I forgot the food was vegan the entire time.
The salad that accompanied the pasta was divine as well - asked the staff for the dressing recipe and they happily obliged:)
In my opinion, one of the best vegan restaurants in Toronto. Everything is very reasonably priced, the window patio is absolutely adorable and the service is great.
The patio outside the restaurant is not as inviting, (but then again most patios on Queen aren't). The window patio is really nice on a weekday summer night. Weekends get insanely busy so I don't really bother visiting then.
Food is 10/10, get the tempeh sandwich with the loaded potatoes. They are life-changing.
Fun place for a brunch. It was very busy and loud but the food was delicious. I had one of the bowls and was very happy with it. Will go back. Extra plus for gluten-free options.
We are not vegan, but we ended up going there 3 times on our 4 day trip to Toronto… We had the Lasagne, Burger, Curry and Sweet Patato Noodles, and Drinks, it was soooo gooood! Especially the Saladsauce. Try the Kombucha Mule, with ‚smoked’ Rosmarin! Staff was very chill and friendly and the place is pretty nice.
I feel like I've been sleeping on Hello 123! I hadn't been in a couple years and had only ever been for brunch until I went a couple days ago for dinner. Everything was immaculate - the nachos, lasagna, the breakfast sandwich. And shoutout to Dylen the bartender for creating a great drink feature, and making excellent espresso martini's. I also want to note how reasonable the prices are! Can't wait to go back.
