Love the patio here! The food was quite good, and I reco the sausage with blueberry sauce and pearl barley. Big fan of the crispy brussel sprouts too. Only downside was waiting for a long time to get our food, around 25 minutes, which I hear isn't the norm for this spot. Maybe they were under-staffed?

Great service and atmosphere on the patio and inside. The dishes were very mediocre. Very very small portions for the price. I can not get over the cost SLICES of focaccia and 3 dips for $17! This is really stretching things on items you are allowed to charge guests. The calamari was crunchy but over cooked. The mushrooms were wonderful. The chicken, ok if you like sweet sauce. The perch was the most disappointing. Very little fish with a lot of fixings.

My parents are visiting from Ireland and we had a lovely brunch this afternoon. The Shakshuka, Dad's Breakfast and Floretine Benedict were all excellent - but the service was even better. My parents said it was the best service they recieved in Toronto! Highly recommend

Cute local spot for brunch with a super private patio!

Had a really solid shakshuka which in comparison to a lot of spots was much less greasy and had a beautiful poach on the eggs. However, our salad was indistinguishable from something out of a bag, and the coffees and dessert (a chocolate torte that looked like a roof tile) fell very flat.

A bit inconsistent but a great place if you're in the Harbord Village and looking for something to fit the bill

I’ve been to cider bars in several different countries, and this was by far one of my favorites. Featuring about a dozen different local ciders on tap, plus several bottles to choose from, there’s an amazing variety to choose from. You can choose half-pints, pints, or do a flight of three different on-tap ciders — I highly recommend the latter of those to get a great taste of Toronto ciders. The staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The food was also amazing! Our table shared three appetizers (fried chicken, crispy Brussels sprouts, and fried avocado) plus two delicious desserts (panna cotta and flourless chocolate cake) and they were all amazing. They have a nice outdoor patio area that is cozy and secluded from the sounds of the street. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Next time I’m in Toronto, I’ll definitely come back!

Came here after all the rave reviews so I expected great things from this place!

Definitely a cute vibe and a nice place to go for brunch with a friend or friends but I’m not sure it’s worth the mission. The staff were all nice but service was a bit slow in my opinion considering that it wasn’t super busy and took a while to get drinks and food.

They had a pretty simple brunch menu and they were priced a bit steep for the portion and taste. Saw a lot of people come here for the cider flights and for brunch but I think I’d rather just grab drinks from here.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night and to say it was amazing would be an understatement. The food was unbelievably good and the service was was top notch. We had several servers come to our table throughout our dinner to ask if everything was okay. Every single person was so nice and attentive! I have a gluten allergy and to find a restaurant not only with so many gluten free choices (including all the ciders) but also great service was so fantastic.we will be back for sure!

I had absolutely amazing service at Her Father's Cider Bar + Kitchen. I hosted a birthday party for 10 there and they were very easy to coordinate with and made my evening special. Food and drinks were exceptional.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. By far the best cheese pairing I have ever had and the portions incredible. I will be going back.

It's a small menu, but every single dish or side was phenomenal. Every dish was elevated to a new level by creative flavour pairings and beautiful plating. I usually find a dish I like and stick with it. In this case, I'm excited to try everything I missed this time.

Absolutely love this unique spot! I wish there were more places like this around, but at the same time that is what makes it so special. To say that the cider offerings are magical and wonderfully curated would be an understatement. I've had nearly everything on this menu and would give everything a 10/10. Every member of the team that works her is beyond kind, friendly and personable. Especially JESSICA, she is such a cutie and always makes for an out of this world dining experience! Keep being your fabulous and sweet self girlfriend (I want to be friends with you)!

We've always loved coming to Her Father's Cider bar + Kitchen since we know its always been consistent with amazing service and food!
While they do a rotating menu for some items, we know we can always count on some comfort classics like the burger and the amazing fried chicken. (they also used to serve Mac&cheese)
Unfortunately, the menu has changed quite a lot, and we were a little disappointed they now have removed the original fried chicken from the menu, and replaced with another version of fried chicken. Now bone in, and seasoned with Dill and the other was perhaps Cajun (don't recall). This seemed to be way over-seasoned, and the seasoning was falling off the chicken, we even tried to scrape it off since it was just too much. It almost felt like popcorn theater seasoning packs were poured out on the chicken. It was too much, and we really missed the original fried chicken they had.it was truly delicious.

As always, service and burger never fail, and they always are so welcoming and friendly.
I'm a little gutted that we likely won't return any time soon, unless they bring back some of our faves. Its too bad, because they also have a lovely patio perfect for quiet date nights.

Biggest selection of cider I’ve ever come across in a resto/bar, and it’s a lot of fun to sample a few you’ve never heard of (the draft ciders are available as a flight). Good mix of sweet and dry, though I would have liked to have seen more funky selections in the mix. The food here is great — nothing surprising, maybe, but everything is carefully presented and full of flavour.

Some of the best service I have ever received anywhere. The servers were attentive to everything. I had made mention the day before we were attending a play and on a time constraint and my girlfriend and I were surprised when a server came up to us and said that "we know you're going to a play, so anything you need, let us know! "

The food is also amazing. Very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

Fantastic cider bar with the widest range of craft ciders in the city. It has a cool vibe with intimate patio and a special shout-out to the incredible staff who helped my friend retrieve their phone dropped under the patio.

Tremendous list of Canadian and foreign ciders with excellent knowledge. Enjoyed an appetizer. Nice atmosphere, quiet, friendly. Attended brunch recently. Food was excellent. Knowledgeable staff as well. A must for any cider lover, and enough to enjoy for people who don't love cider. Cocktails and non-cider beverages are also available. Wife enjoyed a cocktail.

Had a really good experience here with a few friends. I love their wide selection of ciders and that they have flights! The staff was very knowledgeable when it came to our preferences which was nice. They were also able to accommodate us and moved us to the patio once there was a seat available. The food was good and came fairly quickly. Portions were okay for the price. Their fried chicken was crisp but it was a bit bland. We also ordered the mussels and confit yam fritters which were both pretty good. The orange and vanilla cake was super yummy! Would definitely come back again for the flights.

Amazing selection of ciders and food was tasty, but what really made our night was the amazing service.the waitress with the space buns (unfortunately didn't get her name!) was super knowledgeable and really went out of her way to make our experience great.

I came here in November of last year for my birthday. I and my party had an amazing time. I was able to find a room for my party of 10-12 people and the staff were exceptional. I'm not sure if he still works there, but we had a server named Kyle. He took very good care of us and was attentive to our stay. Like many other reviews, the fried chicken here is amazing and the cocktails/ciders went down like water. If you're looking for a nice date spot or just a place to catchup with a friend, this is the place to be!

Our party enjoyed a great brunch with friendly service and nice atmosphere. The brunch menu had something for everyone, and food was served quickly. The chocolate babka French toast was delicious, and the home fry potatoes served with the eggs Benedict were great. Very enjoyable!

The cider selection is unmatched. I had the burger which, without a doubt, was one of the most tastiest burgers I have ever had. Anywhere! Delightfully moist with a nice kick from the Chipotle aioli. The staff were super nice and very helpful. Will be back again.

So many cider options. I had a cider flight and loved all of them. The burger was also amazing.

I made reservations for a group of 6 - everything was lovely. I had the lobster bisque and mushroom risotto. I also had the cider flight and my favorite was number 1. There's a heated patio (if you reserve online, you'll need to comment that you want to sit outside). Almost everything (or possibly everything) is able to be made gluten free!

It was very cozy inside and service was very kind and helpful.

Josh and his staff are incredibly hospitable, and I absolutely love this spot for hosting (for fam and friends)! We love everything - the food, drinks, service and vibes! The menu is delicious (for brunch and dinner) - and also very celiac friendly. They are really great with accommodating allergies. The drink selection is fun and endless, and the music is on point (if you like Aqua and 90s vibes).

What a great experience! We dined at their outdoor patio and it was a perfect vibe. There are heaters to keep you warm once it gets cooler and the servers were really nice! Not to mention the amazing cider selection and food options. I can't wait to go back!

Confused staff, wrong drinks served repeatedly. This place has suffered from what it used to be and chose to really increase its prices.

We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to fit us in. Great spot for brunch with friends especially if you love cider!

We’ve been coming back several times as the food here is amazing and the cider choices always change around. We’ve tried the fried chicken, Mac and Cheese, Brussel sprouts, and miso cod and all the dishes were cooked very well. I don’t usually like Brussel Sprouts but these were a game changer. We also like the option of picking three ciders for $11.95 which is a great option to try several drinks on tap. The only reason I took off one star is that service was quite slow. Our hostess was friendly but it took 30min for her to come take our order and when we tried getting somebody’s attention, we were ignored several times, which was frustrating.

This place is really awesome, ALLOW ME TO STATE WHY:
- Cool decor: The bar has a cool pink bar in the back (but I like pink so.that's that) which gives it a cool, trendy feel
- YOU CAN ACTUALLY TALK: They have music playing but it's low enough that you're not shouting to your friend like two old birds saying things like "WHAT WAS THAT, MARTHA? "
- Great options if you don't like beer: Cider is basically my version of a drinkable beer. It's like alcoholic apple juice, and they also have ice wine and different testers. I'm a big fan of sweet and tried the vanilla cider. Personally I did like the sweetness (but could do without the vanilla extract, that was weird)
- Food is actually decent- depending on what you order: I ordered the brussel sprouts, cod and chicken roulade. Brussel sprouts, in my opinion, were like.a bit too burned.but they were still tasty. It would have been better less burnt. Cod was really, really good (tip: I suggest you ask them to do less salty and for me the taste came out perfectly). Chicken roulade, meh I would pass. It wasn't that flavorful, needed a sauce and it had some weird fat/tendon in it.

OTHER THAN, great place to check out!

This was a really wonderful experience. Honestly love this place. First off, the staff were perfectly attentive and fun, which made our first time memorable. Daniel was an energetic host, and Kiki took great care of us. Great banter as well.

We tried a couple flights of ciders, which were all local products - dry and sophisticated.

Food was across the bored delicious. Fried chicken was a slam, and we loved the lobster fritters and short rib.

Just a great place to spend time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic brunch - potatoes tossed in onion jam and the house-made apple ketchup were amazing touches to an already beautiful pulled pork benedict. Will be coming back here regularly.

A little pricey but some of the best cider options you can find in Toronto, as well as good food and cocktails.

Absolutely incredible one of my favorite spots in the city! I've been going to Her Father's cider bar for years. Everything is always delicious from Brussel sprouts to Mac and cheese or their vegan/gluten free options which is even more impressive since they routinely update thier menu! That being said they still have their classics and I'd go so far as to say that their buttermilk fried chicken is the best in the city second to none! They have an excellent drink selection if cider is your thing then look no further although they have plenty of other options as well from wines to mock-tails they'll have something for you. The service is truly spectacular their knowledge of their drink menu is insane and they can perfectly pair a drink to your meal or just a couple shared apps. I would highly recommend Her Father's to anyone either looking for a simple date night out or to book the back room for a larger gathering. Her Father's quite literally has it all with a beautiful setting inside and out you'll feel right at home.

Service was great. Food was pretty good. Great selection of ciders. Would recommend for a casual dinner. Good ambiance.

An amazingly great find, we were not looking for this place just adventuring. Happen to be with someone who loves ciders more than beers, so she was incredibly excited at the amount of beers on tap and to take home.

The food was more than we could have even hoped for, ton of flavour and to choose from, made accommodations for one of the dishes as we had a vegetarian in our midsts.

A good collection of cider. The buttermilk fried chicken was good. But the rest of the food was off the mark. Not worth the price. Also, you will be rushed off from the patio. We were initially told to leave in 2 hours. They brought both the starters and the main dish at the same time. And then informed us as we were eating the desert that we need to leave in 15 mins for someone else. We were only given an hour on the whole. That was very disappointing.

Great place! Was probably the highlight of our trip to TO. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, we ordered flights and sampled every cider, hard to pick a favourite. The food was amazing too and has an awesome patio PLUS phenomenal take home beer options. Without a doubt will be a staple visit every time I am back in Toronto

This is a great spot for drinks and food. I'm not a cider person, but there were some really great options on the menu, cocktails included. The food ordered by our group was also great, taro fries with the trio of dips was tasty, and the patatas bravas was really good. We didn't come for food specifically, but I would suggest listening to the excellent, knowledgable servers for recommendations on a flight of ciders. Some fun tastes and profiles to be had here, even if you're like me and don't really love ciders.

Her Father’s Cider is best for its ciders (which we tried and found to be ok) as the food was mediocre. The buttermilk chicken was our favourite out of the bunch we tried as it was super crispy and juicy! The trio of dips came with a hummus, carrot and beet dip. The hummus dip (green one) was our favourite, and we found the carrot and beet dips to be a little odd paired with the taro fries. The pulled pork quinoa and seared salmon were considered "mains" but were not filling. We finished in less than 5 bites so if we come back, we'll stick with ciders and grab the apps and mains from another spot. Service was friendly which is why we are giving it four stars instead of three.

They have a killer list of cyders that alone is worth the trip. Food here is pretty good, entries are on the lighter side but the desserts are killer. The poached pear is the best by far.

Fantastic place to hang out with friends and catch up. Their cider selection was huge and given the options, the opportunity to have a flight was perfect to help give people an opportunity to try different styles. Their food was also delicious and the service was just right. I'll definitely head over again to try their other food and cider selection.

Great dinners and brunch, with an awesome patio, extremely friendly servers, and amazing selection of ciders…. BUT i found with both dinner and brunch, theyre super stingy with their home fries/patatas bravas.i left hungry still, and had they given a reasonable amount, I would’ve been full. With the burger i think they literally give you about 8 little pieces of the patatas bravas, come on lol potatoes are cheap and you’re already asking $24 for a burger. Burger was extremely good though, and their pulled pork benny is hands down one of the best bennys in the city!

Went for a Friday dinner with a reservation and was seated immediately. The selection of cider is superb, and the servers are very knowledgable. The food menu is small, but varied and the dishes were tasty. Look forward to going back.

The reason why I gave 1 star is because of the waiter services. So I went to this restaurant with my friend on July 11. The food was pretty good. While we were having dinner, the waiter closed the umbrella without noticed us but noticed to the table that sit right beside us and the table behind us. However, the umbrella was just right beside us. After the waiter closed the umbrella, there’s leave fell off in one of our dish. So I told the waiter what’s happened. He just say sorry and said will let the waiter know without having any compensation. I feel offensive as we are the only Asian there. We both felt they are racist. We were so disappointed as one of my friend highly recommend this place. I didn’t enjoy the experience there.

We visited this little gem after having ramen for dinner so we didn't get the opportunity to try their food. We started off with their flights which consists of three 4oz servings of which ever three ciders you would like to try on tap. This was such a great option as my partner and my friend had the opportunity to try 9 different ciders before choosing one we wanted a pint of. The ciders we tried were quite enjoyable but my favorite had to be the Twin Pines and my friend really enjoyed the Shiny Bootleg. The patio was super cute and comfortable despite the rain. The customer service was outstanding! We were greeted warmly by the host, and our server (wonderful lady with a UK/Nova Scotia accent) educated us about all of the cider options with such enthusiasm. They took their customer service to the next level when the rain started coming down even harder. The bartender was such a gentleman and came out to the patio to bring us an umbrella so we could go inside without getting soaked. Our server even offered to bring our ciders in for us. I'd rate this place even higher if I could. 10/10 would recommend this place to all!
