I would give 0 stars unfortunately I can’t. Me as an Afghan that lived in Toronto my whole life and being a long time customer of this store. I got dried black mulberries and I was so disgusting.it was stilt and so old. I requested to bring this to the store owner and manager. The owner’s response was if you think it’s bad and not edible simply don’t shop from here and go somewhere else.the fact is the item may not worth much money. It isn’t the matter of money.it’s the fact this is how much they value their customers that invested into their business thousands of dollars. This is very unfortunate.for a manager and owner to behave like this. They definitely lost me as a customer. I will definitely take this to food health and safety board of Toronto for inspection. This might teach them something. And I as a social media influencer will take it to media and social platforms. This is a serious matter. This is health and safety issue which they care less about. I got severe stomach pain and will definitely take it up to a lawyer for perhaps a lawsuit.

To Store Manager: 1.please treat all your costumers equally 2. Please do not be very submissive to costumers who insults your workers for no reason. Please start to learn your rights. 3-you have the right to ask a customer to leave your store if he/she disturbs your other customers by screaming and yelling, you failed to excercise your right as a store manager this evening.

The bread is no good when it’s fresh it looks good but once it’s cold not good will not buy any bread in future

The restaurant in Herat bazar which located in 565 Markham road Scarborough is the worst restaurant ever we ordered some bolani they give us the bolani we didn't open the box and came home when we opened the box the bolani looked full of oil burned and old when we tasted it, it taste awful inside the bolani its potato’s looked brown and very little beside that we didn't eat the whole bolani only a piece of it made us all sick and everyone in our family through up.we called the restaurant their manager said they didn't have fresh bolani and their staff give us the box of bolani from 3 days before and said that it was a mistake but didn't say that he is sorry about it very impolite and very rude.so please check your order carefully before taking it home especially the bolani. My self I will never buy anything from this restaurant.

The bakery person lied about bread being fresh but it was a day or two day old bread and plastic bag which tasted very stale and on top of it the manager or the owner was very rude on the phone people like this have destroyed Afghanistan

We went to get bolani last week from this place the bolani was totally garbage and the bread that we purchased it is not cooked well inside. The place is dirty as well they should l take some time to clean that place not to make money.

Bought couple bags of rice ; weren’t the type it was suggested/wanted. I Went back after a month and brought my concern to Mr. Fahim Rahmatyan. Mr. Rahmatyan was very professional, comprehensive and man with great gesture of goodwill. He replaced the item without any receipt. Hope your business prosperous. Mr. Fahim thank you for your empathy.

Not delicious ice cream (shiryakh). He did not issue a receipt for the ice cream we purchased. He was asked but he refused to issue a receipt for two ice creams $14. Expensive ice cream.

One of the worst Afghani store in Toronto I bought dry fruits it was all spoiled.very expensive and very bad quality.please don’t waste your money in this store. I clearly show the owner this product is spoiled he said we don’t have refund.

Very dirty place, lazy staff specially meat section staff are very rude, lazy and unprofessional. Bread is always left over from the day before overall very dirty place needs to be inspected by MOH and MGCS.

We almost come to Herat Bazaar to prepare meat. Ten days ago, I went to prepare meat according to the routine, but someone in the butcher department urged me to take the bone, and with a lot of insistence, I took it finaly. When we got home, we found that the bones were rotten and could not be used at all. We called immediately but the store was closed. The next day my husband called again and another person was told to freeze them and return it whenever he has time.my husband came back and returned but the person who insisted on buying those bones mocked my husband very rudely said I am a Canadian citizen. Being a Canadian citizen is not a good reason to sell rotten meat, so I would very much like to take the matter to City so that this person can no longer play with the health of our people in the community.

Unfortunately, the butcher section of this store has poor quality meat. The people who work in this department are very bad-tempered and do not have a good service staff at all. I am very satisfied by the food and the food quality. Every time I go the ladies at the cash register and very friendly and so is the manager.

Very unprofessional staff specially in bakery section of Herat Bazar. Hygiene is even very poor. I was recently there and saw the lady in the bakery who prepares bread was rubbing her sweated body and head with her hand and touched bread which is really bad. You should train your staff how to respect the hygiene and how to deal with customers.

The prices in this store are much higher than other similar stores even with the stores close to it. The behavior of the cashier that was in the checkout section, I don’t know if he was the owner or not, was very unprofessional and he did not care about the customers. When I told him that their price for the item I just bought is much higher than another store and asked for a price match, he didn’t accept to do the price matching. I asked him if I can return it. He accepted first, but when I came back two to three minutes later, he refused to refund me. I think they cannot keep the customers with this type of disappointing behavior.

I came here several times, and for every occasion, was overcharged for products I did not buy. Always double check your receipt.

Also when I called them and told them about this recurring issue, the store representative was extremely rude and said: "Why are you calling to waste my time about being overcharged 4 dollars? "

They could not even apologize. Will not come again.

If I could give zero star, I would have. No customer service here! People are so rude and racist. Avoid this place.

I used to buy groceries from this store multiple times - everytime i went there i noticed that the girl on cash give very racist looks. I hope the owner takes note and address this issue.
I felt very unwelcome due to my race or looks.

There’s a restaurant and a bakery as well.

The Shiryakh (Icecream) is absolutely delicious. Only problem is that they’re usually quite lethargic to make it for you as it requires some churning. And it is also quite expensive. $12 for a large. Most other places charge $6-7 for similar size.

The cookies and baklava look awesome too.

They stayed open right after closing just so I can drop by to grab sheer yakh. By far the best customer service I've experience.

The market stuff is nice but I'm rating the restaurant which is inside this place I ordered Manto but instead they give me ashak, even though it was a take out order but the guy was asking me if I want spoon and fork really unprofessional, definitely not recommending it at all

I give this rate for their customer service they lady in the front has really bad customer service, which they can hire a professional customer server to serve and communicate well with customers. We got something from there when it was not working properly I asked for exchange or return and she even did not help us and acted like we did not buy that from their store. If you wan to keep your customer loyal, you might need to work on your customer service in order to keep customers coming.

Staff were very rude. I went into the carpet shop. The owner asked me as soon as I walked in "are you going to buy anything". When I said I was looking, he walked into a back room, never to be seen again. My wife is Afghan and several people commented about her being with me (I'm white). I will never be back and stay away if you dislike racists.

This establishment sells products that are expired. I purchased 4lbs of cured meat and I found molds covered the entire meat with fungus. There is a serious public health issue with this supermarket that feeds off predominantly immigrant customers who are unable to report them or fight back legally. When I called them back the guy who sold it said laughing “ that’s how meat in Canada looks unfortunately”.

The store is clean. The service is good and the people are nice. The store has good food there. Gosht e qaaq, laandi, haleem, haft mewe nawruz, samanak are available and they are all very good! Except the restaurant which is kinda messy and not managed well.

I bought meat and chicken. You can also eat there but now it's not as economical as it was couple of year ago.
