I’ve been going here for as long as I’ve moved to markham since 2019! As a Chinese customer, I’ve come to really enjoy threading over plucking because it’s so much faster and more accurate with the styling. This biz is speedy (I’m in and out within 5-7 mins) and super budget friendly. I usually walk in and get a different staff each time, which means my brows don’t get styled EXACTLY the same every time. But there is a solid consistency in their styling across staff and the quality of service hasn’t changed a bit! I also have never needed to tell them what I want (shape, length…etc) - they just know what would fit me according to my unique brow shape. But of course, it also helps to communicate so you can get what you ask for! So thankful for this business’s service to our neighbourhood.:) Shout out to my last staff, Aarit, for the great threading!

Recently started liking the service and the new staff, in the past I had really bad experience with the previous staff but now I can rely on this place to make sure my brows look good all the time

For my eyebrows. Waxing from them always leaves ingrowns (never had that issue before…why here?) and is never fully stripped. No longer waxing here but I’ll do my eyebrows. Ladies are attentive. Can get busy late evenings.

Bad experience, i went twice to get my eyebrows and I keep telling the lady to take hairs out and she didn’t. Not happy at all, not recommended to any one

I wish I could give a negative rating. I go for eyebrow and forehead threading. At the end of the service, she told me for a forehead $5 and an eyebrow of $3. They didn't have a price menu to look before service.

The owner is so rude and had a totally cheap mentality. They charge you more at the end, so better to ask before service 2 times to make sure. Also, I don't like eyebrows. She did. She made so thin and two of them in different shapes.

I had my hair highlighted, changed base colour, treatment and even got recommended for adevic scalp treatment.

I have been a regular customer at this place. They always provide great service and are very accommodating with time. Their prices are very reasonable too. The best thing I like about the staff here is that they never try to sell you services unless you yourself ask for details.

I am coming here since 1 year and I have great experience of staff. Krutika, Preety, Navi are excellent in their work and I would totally recommend this place.

This place has the worst customer service. They split people's eyebrows in half with the treading. I don't recommend this place at all due to the gorrivle experience.

I always go here to get my eyebrows and waxing done. They do a phenomenal job each time. Recently, I tried getting my hair done here too. I got it cut and coloured. They did an amazing job and I got many compliments on my hair. Thank you Herbal Beauty Markham!

Very bad experience with hair cut.charged me 40$ for a haircut that took under 5 minutes. The hair dresser just combed my hair and then aligned it and cut with scissors which I could do at home. ️

Please do not go at this place for waxing, my both arms has burning scars, i told the lady again and Again that wax is really hot, she did not listen me now my both arms has scars…Total scam, unprofessional, Unhygienic …

So nice and they did such a wonderful job. Highly recommend. It was my first time getting threading done - it did not hurt, they kept a wonderful shape and are so lovely.

I WISH I COULD’VE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE VISITING THAT PLACE, I went for Brazilian wax yesterday and it was so imperfectly done. I had to visit twice to get the waxing completed. First time this lady Asha did the Brazilian waxing, my skin came out and blood came as well and it was hurting a lot. Plus she did not completely removed the hair. So I was very very upset. So I had to come today again and Asha tried to fix the waxing but again my skin came out plus blood also came. Then she mentioned that she doesn’t know how to do it. I asked for a refund but the owner Ms Kruitika and Mr Patel refused to refund and argued that blood comes out always, (I know it’s not the case as I’m having the Brazilian waxing for almost four years and it never happened) this is not a part of our policy: very unprofessional and rude behaviour with no ethics. And on top of it the workers are not trained at all. Very very disappointed and upset.
On top of that I’ve personally seen them running their business ILLEGALLY as they are RIPPING OFF TAX by following the “cash no tax practices”… And not sure if they have hired their untrained staff illegally too.
I will seek the help of Canadian Laws and Police to complete investigation should be done against them to shut down their health compromising and illegal business completely.

Avoid this salon at all costs. They don’t do any service correctly then make up excuses when you bring it to their attention. For waxing you’re guaranteed to get blood marks and burnt skin even if it’s for body or face. I doubt any of them are trained and I’m shocked at how this establishment still runs considering their lack of knowledge towards beauty services. They claim it’s normal to bleed and for skin to get burnt after waxing this is a huge lie as I’ve been getting waxed for years at different places never happened. I feel bad for anyone who decides to go here without reading all the truthful reviews. I will never return.

I was in the area and saw the salon was open got my face done I don't know which cheap wax they used it burned my skin I don't recommend and won't return either AVOID this place. The ladies don't like wearing masks either.

Best eyebrow threading place I've ever been to. I've gone here for three years and I couldn't be happier. Everyone is extremely professional, kind, and skilled at what they do.

Inconsistent pricing. Charge you extra depending on how they feel, and cannot give you an answer on the exact cost of the service.

I asked for a v shape hair cut the owner didn't even know what she was doing, she messed up my hair i end up crying and leaving her salon she still took the full amount from me and didn't even try to fix it she kept saying that's how it should be and it looks good, she cut my hair very very bad and I've been going to professional places and never had issues just because my husband was cutting his hair in that plaza and I had a party to go too and I had to get my hair done mybhair was very nice and long I told her not to cut the length she cut the length very disappointed with her service veryy, never go there for a hair cut

Zero customerservice from owner to works only one girl was the best and she quit her job Avnit i was there for my eyebrows she ripped my skin of and when i complained to the owner she said come next time i will do it for you and the owner is gossiping about her customers with her workers instead of teaching them a good customerservice and concentrated on your job and this is the second time they did this to me i never want go back there again

Our usual eyebrow place was closed so we decided to walk into Herbal Beauty Esthetics as it was in the same plaza we stopped to pick up food at. We were MORTIFIED when we walked in. Not a single worker was wearing a mask and absolutely no one was being screened. They had masks hanging completely off or under their chins the entire time. They were only a few inches away from customers who also didn’t have masks on while sloppily waxing their faces. One even sneezed near a customers face at one point. They did not change gloves between ANY customers (it was so gross), didn’t sanitize anything, the place was absolutely filthy and there was a blatant disregard for any public health protocols or just basic cleanliness. We got up and left after a few minutes of observing as did another lady. We’ll gladly wait till our usual eyebrow threading place is open. Yikes.

I got my brows done by Bhavna she did an excellent job.
Unlike my regular salon they were welcoming and friendly here.
I recommend her and will definitely return.

Here's the thing. They do eyebrows REALLY well. They thread them perfectly without you having to ask or tell them anything.
However, as another reviewer stated this place is just not safe during the pandemic. They do not check temperatures and I have seen them work on different customers without sanitizing their hands in between. The employees masks sometimes don't cover their noses (which ruins the whole point of a mask).
Disappointed that they're not taking proper precautions during COVID-19 because this place is otherwise great service.

I've always liked this spa in terms of waxing efficiency and the speed. My experience is always painless when I come here. However, I would avoid this place during the pandemic. Customers were allowed to walk in, nobody was screened, there was no temperature check and the staff were not wearing their masks properly. I really like the quality of their work but I do not feel safe at this point in time.

They keep on pushing services on you. Make you feel uncomfortable, they need professionals for their service.

If you are looking for some really clean place with excellent and fast services, this is the perfect spot. I was really amazed with the way they cleaned every little thing after every customer. Highly Impressive.

Good place to get eyebrows done and reasonably priced. However, other services like waxing and mani-pedi weren’t that impressive.

This is my to go salon for eyebrows; I am really picky about my eyebrows but these girls never fail to impress me with the way they do my eyebrows. I always enjoy my each visit as the girls working during evenings are extremely friendly and funny.

Fast service but it ends up in a half done job. I am a victim of their un professional job. Also not to forget the owner might be nice in your face but the time you turn your back from their parlour a demeaning comment will be passed from her mouth about you and rest of the staff members will laugh with her, plus the other customers. One day I was waiting for my turn and a girl with a curvey figure walked in, once she left the owner mentioned that she reminded me of the lady whom had hit her car.may be her weight dragged the car when she tried to put the breaks on. I mean she doesn't even spare a single customer who walks out of her parlour

I said very CLEARLY to only clean up my brows, instead she decided to shape my eyebrows pencil thin. She did my eyebrows both different shape and thickness, frustratingly UNFLATTERING.but hey she doesn't see it. I still had hair left that I had to pluck out once I got home. They have no experience, they're just practicing on people thus the cheap price point. Also not hygienic, both service and staff; bad odor, instruments are never cleaned from person to person. And not to mention double dipping with wax (Brazilian) that is so gross, it can transfer yeast/fungal/bacterial infection to every guest who uses that wax next. I'm surprised they passed the audit. I also noticed them touching customers face after brooming without washing hands. TERRIBLE customer service, owner clearly doesn't want her business to run for long. Do yourself a favor, DON'T GO HERE.

I went this place for 4 times and they charge me $2 for forehead but when I went for threading 5th ti.e she charge me $ 5 for forehead and keep saying this is price since 10 years.

Tonight was probably the worse experience.

I had Tenisha tonight to threaded and trimed my eyebrows. And she cut off the top part of my mole.

She claims she was aware of the mole while threading ans was focused on trimming the hairs close to the mole.but accidently cut through my mole.

Many apologies and not charging me for night and a future visit was their way to solve this.

One of the worst and unprofessional places I have ever been to. The girls, especially the ones in evening have way too much attitude in the way they talk to people. While working on customer's eyebrows they are constantly talking to each other in Punjabi! They don't even clean the leftover wax on customer's upper lips after waxing. While working on customers for eyebrows if any of their personal favourite customer is there they do it for her before the person who came first.

Worst place ever.the manager owner whos there gives special discounts to her friends and pushes you to get extra services done. Prices are not accurate. They say one thing and charge more afterwards by mentioning extra hidden charges.worst place and they dont even do a good job. Better to go to a proper professional place.

I went yesterday, the staff was very elegant and friendly. I had the best service for waxing and threading. Girl (colored hair) who did my threading was nice and professional. Owner told me about many services they provide. I was short of time but will definitely try in future. Definitely my go to salon from next time.
